If this is the second time taking the class because you failed before you might want to thing about getting him. He's a great teacher that goes through every step slowly until you fully understand, but if its just to get a better grade then you will think of him as extremely slow.

wow, can that guy teach slow..the class is never ending, but if math really aint ur thing then i recommend to take him, he goes through everything step by step. bit of a hispanic accent but nothing serious. he is easy and helpfull. u can tell he cares about his students but too slow for me.

He knows his stuff! He makes sure that all his students are on the right page. Though he might take a little bit longer to get to the point, but he wants everyone to understand. He is also always willing to help with little sessions on Saturday's & Sunday's!

I D'd my way through MGF 1106 the first time around and thanks to him I managed to pull a B. He gave us extra credit for doing the HW and was really helpful about making Sat review classes. He was subbing for us the first time in Spring 2005.

I feared taking Finite Math b/c I knew that the drop rate for that course was very high. But I read his reviews and I can honestly say that he is an amazing teacher. He is very clear in his lectures and he will go out of his way to help you with ANYTHING. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who is not too good in math.

Best professor I've had @ FIU. He will go the extra mile to make sure that his students understand the material has lots of review session. Gives extra credit explains the material in a clear manner, I don't know what the other person was talking about his accent is not difficult to understand.

The material itself can get a little confusing but he helps understand it, even though his accent doesnt lol. He also gives back tests and lets you corret them for better points on them. His quizzes are pretty easy if you study. Take him if you're not a math pro.

This course is sooooo easy...Go to class and take notes and notes and you will be fine...He always has REVIEWS before every tests and if you go to those you will DEFINITELY be OK because he is very helpful...He is a great professor and will go something over and over until you get it...He is also verrrrry nice =)

This professor loves his job, and you can tell. He's very helpful. I did not like how he taught (since he would explain things kindergartten style) so I did not attend his lectures, only exams and recitations and received an "A". I recommend him; easy class

I took this professor for mat 1998 and mac 1105. THE BEST MATH PROFESSOR @ FIU. He is not only extremely easy but he is actually a good teacher it is impossible to do poorly you can tell that he really likes teaching and wants students do well. reviews on weekends also extremely helpful if you are not good at math he will make you good.

For those of you who hate math.. he's the one for you. If you need help he usually tries to help you in any way he can; during lecture, after class, at office hours, even if you catch him just on the go. No one does this, trust me. He really cares about his students.

for finite math, he was a good teacher. Even for a lecture with around 200 students, he made sure everyone knew what he was teaching. he answered any and all questions. he teaches slowly, and repeats himself. posts grades online, sometimes a little late with that.

he was good until the end, he didnt post the grades online like he said he would... now i am taking the final without knowing my exam 3 grade as well as the quiz grades.

the best math prof. He took the time to come in on weekends to tutor us for exams, he made sure that everyone understood the material, if you hate math take him. he's very understanding and caring.

I have hated math throughout my entire schooling... I have even dropped math twice...but Robles is an amazing teacher who makes even the most mathematically challenged understand the material. He is very helpful, offers enough opportunities to raise and maintain your grades and his test reviews are excellent. I actually got an A in his class!

If you can barely count past 3 (in other words, you suck at math) this is the guy for you. Makes things REALLY easy for you. Totally recommend him, VERY VERY easy

Probably the best professor I have ever had at FIU! Totally commited to the student's learning, very energetic. He loves math and loves to teach it even more. Came in on weekends for review sessions. You have to really try hard to not learn and pass his classes.

I used to hate math, but I finished the class loving it. I wished there was an intermediate part to finite but there isn't. Do all the homework and ask lots of questions. He's always willing to help. By far best professor for math.

I wish I didn't follow the advice here. He's way too fast for me, and I work full-time and am taking 15 credits (online and off). If you want to pass: You need to study!! Do all the practice exercises after class. I dropped it because I could not keep up. Same snowball rule applies: you miss something and dont catch up right away: it's over.

I didn't pass Finite the first time around but he taught it so much easier. And he had review classes for anyone that needed them as well as being really helpful if you asked him to be. I recommend him as a Finite professor.

at the beginning he was a little fast but it just atkaes time to learn how he teaches. He helped a lot had reviews before test and three before the final. Gives study guides before each test. he is a good teacher but you have to do some homeowrk to know what you are doing and practic eon your own but he is always willin gto help you.

AMAZING professor, he really helps his students whenever he can, such as weekend reviews occassional extra credit. He teaches the material fast, but its not something that is insurmountable. Besides the lectures he does, do the homework it really helps a lot in the learning process. GOOD LUCK!

horrible! on the first test the average score was a 46. I am an A student and I had to drop the class. ONly take if you already know algebra well.

You are very lucky if you have this professor. It is obviously not easy there is a lot of material to cover in a short time, but Robles will do everything he can to help you. He even comes on weekends to do test reviews, he really wants his students to pass. Go to class, do the homework, & you will be fine. And he has good handwriting which helps!

Easiest class at FIU he is very helpful and coopertive with his students he is flexible and always willing to add extra credits and additional reviews to improve grades. The only reason anyone would fail his class would be b/c they are LAZY!!!!!!

For finite math, he's a good professor. (havent had him in anything else). He makes sure his students understand. He can be a little goofy sometimes but it lightens up the mood a bit. His tests and quizzes are pretty easy. He reviews right before giving out quizzes!

He is so sweet and a great professor. He will explain things until every person understands!! Gives test review sheets and then goes over it the saturday before the test and puts similar problems on the test. If you go to class and just listen you can pass I promise!!

Tough class (especially if math is not your best subject) but the professor is very helpful. Make sure to take REALLY good notes, ask a lot of questions, and study study study. If you don't then you'll be lost and fail. Trust me. Just try to keep up and although attendance is not mandatory, it is crucial if you want to pass.

A great math teacher and a even better person. This prof will take time out of his own busy day just to help out students who are struggling, and he even have weekend classes to review for the tests. Best math professor I have ever taken!!! He gives you all the tools to get an A, is up to you to do it. Exams are exactly like his reviews, and the best part.....it all comes from the HW or the chapter reviews, 3 quizes, and like 40 pts of extra credit towards the tests. There are 3 tests and a final. He is the best math teacher I have ever taken. I failed trig last semester and after retaking the class with him I got a B+. He is so dedicated to teaching he even has extra weekend classes (optional). 3 tests, 1 final, a few quizes (which actually helps your grade)and a lot of extra credit.

This guy is the best. If you are not good at math then you need to take Robles. He style of teaching is crystal clear. I'm not good in math at all but I totally understands what he is teaching. Attendance not mandatory but how do you expect to pass if you don't go to class. Calculus can be challenging but if you study you'll be fine.
