Eric is an amazing prof, I have just finished my calculus course with him, and although I hate math more than anything in this world, he made it easy. However, it's clear that he hates those students who do not attend and do not work with him. Attend classes, do what he suggests you do and I guarantee you, you will get a really good mark.

The math section of this course was different than most high school math, but he made it fun and not as boring to learn. He is really funny and super hot so going to class isn't a chore. Definitely take this class with him if you have the choice.

If you take Linear algebra with Eric, you will love his class. He gives you massive amounts of notes, all in perfect order for the suggested problems and good examples. He will make fun of you if you play on your cellphone or come in late though. He might also bring donuts!

Eric is a talented and fair teacher. Many a good laughs in this class. Attend lectures and do the homework problems.

Funny guy. Manages to make a potentially painful class of calculus less painful to go through. He made calculus make sense, and provides fair accessment of what he goes through in class.

Excellent prof! Best linear alg prof at the school. Is very fair with questions asked on tests (no real surprises). Do ALL the practice questions (There's only like 20 per chapter) and you'll have no problems at all...and give him a chili rating, he deserves it haha.

Best instructor I ever had. He gives very thorough and helpful notes. The examples he gives are very cohesive with the text book. He makes Linear Algebra easy to understand, just do the homework, show up for class and go to tutorials if you have problems, and you will do positively excellent in his class. Funny too.

Great teacher. All of his tests come from the textbok questions, so if you do the homework, there is no problem doing very well on the tests, and even the final. Eric is very helpful and always willing to help if you see him in office hours. Concepts are clearly taught and straightforward. He moves very fast with lessons though.

Good teacher in general. If you want to get a good mark, come to ALL his classes. His quizzes and exams are based on the textbook q's he assigns.

Wicked prof! Hilarious sense of humor. He is crystal clear on his expectations and incredible at teaching concepts of any kind. His class is the only one I have ever enjoyed Math and the Sciences. Extremely thorough in his notes and over just the best prof at MRU I've ever had.

I do not regret giving up sleep for his 8am lectures. Attending class is a must. He goes over examples that do pop up on the midterms and final which are modelled or directly from the textbook. And He's a funny guy !

The man is super hot! That's probably the only reason why I kept showing up to class. He has a knack for keeping students interested in the class with his ADD tendencies for telling random stories at the oddest times. Content is super easy; just do the homework and the readings. If you ask him for help, be sure to actually try the questions first.

Love him! Love the way he teaches and makes sure every student understands. Love his stories he tells, makes the class way more fun and entertaining. His calss is really chill but still kept very professional. Highly recommended prof! Keep up the good work eric! :)

Eric is a good prof who doesn't mind joking around with the class. His notes are very detailed, and he provides lots of examples that are similar to homework problems. I recommend the textbook because his test questions come from assigned homework. A bit of a tough marker, but it helps to prep you for the final. Notation is key, so study hard.

Awesome prof! If you hate math, this guy will make you love it! Amazing notes and incredibly helpful both in class and during office hours. Friendly and funny and very hot. All round great guy to get to know, so if you take any math course, take it with Eric.

Eric is awesome! I didn't even think he was my prof. He is super chill and very understanding. If you have any questions or need help, just ask him! His lectures aren't bad and he tests you on stuff he teaches, no trick questions! Fair game. Do your textbook work and you will pass. He's awfully cute and has the funniest stories.

Eric is an amazing teacher. His lecture style is a balance of note taking and discussion. What usually happens is he'll write a couple definitions on the board for everyone to copy, then he'll explainanswer questions and do an example with the class. He creates a great learning atmosphere. You'll never want to miss a class with him. Do your hw!

Eric is more than fair, if you do the homework and come in for office hours as needed there's very little chance of you getting a bad grade in the course. He sometimes teaches like we're all math majors, but fairly good at explaining concepts and processes. He makes every effort to give you the marks you just need to try. Gotta attend class though.

Eric teaches the class as if you have already taken calculus, or math courses recently. He is funny and kind of nice but the beginning of the semester was tough. If you commit yourself to do all of the homework questions, theirs no way you won't pass. Also go to Digby in the math help room. Carried me through this class when it got tough.

Eric was a really good prof! If you did not go to class you would not learn the material so attendance is mandatory. He sometimes went off on tangents but they were funny and distracted you from math so it was okay. Overall, good prof!

Eric was great! Hilarious during lectures, and related examples to the material being taught. If you care about the course, he cares about it! Do the practice questions he gives from the textbook, they generally are harder then the tests, so if you can do those you are solid.

Eric is a great guy! As long as you attend the lectures and read the book you should have no problem getting an A in this class. Eric is a very fair marker and will drop your 2 lowest marks out of 5 exams. If you don't understand something just ask or show up to his office hours, but make sure you try the practice questions first before going.

I have thoroughly Calculus, which is strange because I was quite expecting to hate it. Eric even inspired me to Google search math proofs to learn more about what the heck they are. Eric is funny , well dressed, and above all, knowledgeable. I would highly recommend anyone taking Calculus to have Eric as their teacher. But do the practice problems!

Don't bring your phone to class, ever... Gives you everything you need to pass the course. Tests are extremely hard, the course starts out very easy, but the last test, and final can take you literally from an A to a C instantly, so be prepared to use office hours, and do ALL practice problems. I have never seen tests marked so fast in my life...

He's a really nice guy, who teaches calc pretty well. The only thing is that he goes relatively fast so it is really important to stay on top of the assigned practice problems. He has these really funny tangents at times that honestly kept the class interesting. go to tutorials and go to classes and you will be just fine (10/10 recommend)

Generally a nice teacher, but will call you out if you use your phone. You'll get your tests back usually by the next class and he'll usually go through each problem on the test. But he goes off on tangents a LOT, and often about the most random things.

I have always struggled with math and actually failed my grade 12 math so I was hesitant to take this course. Eric is incredible at explaining math concepts from the very start to finish taking time to answer questions in between. You do have to go to class to understand but its well worth it because he is very funny and its never a dull moment.

I'm loving taking calc with Eric. He's really engaging and I like listening to him. The material goes really fast and it's not easy, but he explains it well and is really good about answering questions as he goes. But don't bring your phone to class, he will make fun of you! Hes really great and I will be looking for more classes to take with him.

He often had funny stories about his life and made jokes. He didn't use powerpoints for the majority of the lectures and wrote on the chalkboard. So attendance is mandatory if you want notes. I didn't use the textbook at all and got an A+ so it's not necessary if you are able to understand his lecture and read his notes.

Dr Roettger Is God Tier, I would say the best math professor at MRU. If you show up to lectures, tutorials and do practice problems his classes can be used for a GPA booster, he goes over every problem you will encounter in insane detail. Cares about his work and his students. I would take a course with him again he's pretty cool for a nerd.

Eric has been a very wonderful and amazing professor throughout the entire course, He always tried his hardest to make every lecture as enjoyable as possible and he was always willing to help in the tutorials often even helping with questions that weren't assigned. I would definitely be more than happy to take another course with him in the future

If you like fast-paced math, take Eric. If math isn't your best subject, don't take Eric because he expects you to know what he's teaching as soon as he discusses it. He doesn't say what's going to be on tests, but always do the homework and Pearson questions and you should be fine. He does intimidate me so I don't ask many questions.

Dr. Roettger is the only reason I will pass calculus. If he thinks students may have forgotten something from high school, he will absolutely do a review of it in class. It's not difficult to succeed in this class: show up to lectures, do the practice problems, and attend the tutorials. His jokes in class are also pretty hilarious!

My opinions are mixed, it's a hard course ill admit. There is a lot of work needed to get even a decent grade. Dr.Eric does reviews of high school material which is very useful. His tests are a bit unpredictable so study as much as you can and ensure you know all the rules for the chapter. I do NOT suggest skipping any classes.

Eric is very clear about what is needed to pass the course. As long as you do the practice problems your going to well on the tests and know what to expect. He is helpful during tutorial and is encouraging for anyone to bring up any problems that they may have trouble with.

Eric is very funny and his class was a treat! As long as you keep up with practice problems and pay attention in class everything will go ok. He only dives 3 tests and a final making them each a little stressful but he gives a lot of time and all the questions on tests are covered in class.

Dr Roettger was by far one of my favourite math professors ever. The course is pretty straightforward: 3 Term tests and a final. The test material comes straight out of the textbook with the range of questions assigned on the outline. Do the practice questions beforehand and you'll be golden. A very respectful professor who always makes jokes.

His ratings are low because Math 1200 is a 1st yr course and students just don't know how uni works so they just blame the prof for the low mark. He's well-organized, covers one section per class, and the textbook is a great resource. Not a harsh grader. You could do well in math with Dr. Eric This is coming from a guy didn't do well in calc in hs!

Dr. Roettger is very friendly and his lectures are a lot of fun. He's very reasonable in his expectations: go to class and do the practice problems. I appreciate that he takes the time to go back and review math from high school or previous chapters when it is relevant to what is being covered.

Prof. Roettger is pretty straightforward - go to class, do the practice problems, and you'll do well. Unstuck study was a lifesaver for exam prep. The workload is manageable as long as you stay on top of things.

I enjoyed his class, he's a pretty chill and funny guy and he knows his stuff. He gives students everything they need to succeed, as long as you do all the practice problems and put in the work you'll be fine for his class. He does go a bit fast at times though, and his office hours were very limited.
