He a great guy !! He's a really nice teacher and super passionate about what he does! (very animated) He does have a lot of papers and hw that he gives out but you learn a lot and NO TESTS! If you need anything feel free to ask one of the friendlyest guys I know ! Easy A-B class to great teacher !!

He was a good professor. We didn't have a single test just homework twice a week that was usually pretty easy. There are a couple of projects assigned but they aren't hard at all.

E. Ruud is the awesome. he's really easy too. no tests and open book quizzes. book is required cause we had to write reflection papers from stuff in it. Overall awesome teacher, i would highly recommend him if taking this course.

Professor Ruud is my favorite! He is so animated and passionate about what he teaches. The homework can be long but it's never hard. Open book quizzes that are cake. A few papers but again, never hard. He even said on the first day of class "You're going to have to try REALLY hard in this class...to NOT get an A or B!" love this guy! TAKE HIM!

This really is an easy A or B. He is a really animated teacher and can sometimes ramble on about a story but his homework is simple, just questions to be typed that are usually from the chapter. Definitely recommended

Overall, I liked this professor. He is cheerful & respectful. All class materials are provided online, so no $ spent on a textbook! Assignments are straightforward and he provides outlines for topics & exams which are EXTREMELY helpful. Attend class and he'll give you hints for the upcoming exam.

GREAT PROF! He makes class very interesting even at 8am. Pay attention to his notes and use his notes and review sheets to study and you will do well. Get your article sums done early so you dont have to worry about it later in the sem they are a great way to keep your grade up. He is a great teacher and fun to talk to.

TAKE HIM! He is a very interesting and passionate teacher! There is homework for almost every class but it's very easy, all answers are in the book. The exams are open book. It's really hard NOT to get a good grade with him. Probably one of the best teachers at ISU.

Ruud is probably the nicest teacher I've ever had. He knows what he's doing and you will get a lot out of taking his class. Go talk to him once and he'll remember your name the rest of the year! HIGHLY RECCOMENDED!

This is the greatest law teacher in the whole world. He is funny and lectures are extremely interesting. He is very easygoing and you can get help from him anytime. Need to work for a bit to get an A in the tests but definitely easy B. Highly recommended.

BEST TEACHER EVER!!!! Lectures are interesting and he is a really nice guy. If you have any problems, just talk to him he will help you in any way he can. He gives study guides for the tests and as long as you do them and study from them, there is not reason for not doing well in his class.

Every one should take this course with Ruud. He's an awesome guy and makes a dry topic actually seem interesting. Attendance is not mandatory, but it will help you out on the exams. Do 2 article summaries a week starting on the 1st week to get them done with ASAP. Case briefs are annoying but are easy points. Exams can be tricky, just study a lot!

Dr. Ruud is a retired attorney and has a really fun time with his class. He knows a ton about law and the business world and there's never a dull moment in his class. His class has no final, no tests, and all quizzes are open book. However, he does assign regular homework and never lets class out early. I highly recommend him though. Easy A.

My favorite prefessor at ISU so far. Great guy with fun lectures. All lecture notes are printed online, so print those and follow along in class. A few court cases to study that were pretty easy. And 12 article summaries that were pretty much free participation points. Tests really weren't too bad either. I recommend him.

Great class - this guy is an expert lecturer, knows what he's talking about, and has actual experience and a wealth of stories to tell. He puts the notes online, so if you miss class, it's not the end of the world. All tests are multiple choice, fair (no trick questions) and of reasonable length. 10/10 would recommend. No expensive textbook either!

Eric Ruud is the best teacher I've ever had. He knows what he's talking about since he was a lawyer and if you go to his office hours he can give you law help. He always compares the topic to a situation so it's easy to understand. I LOVED THIS CLASS

Take this guy! He is extremely nice, funny, engaging, and actually cares about his students. His whole course uses materials he gives you, so no books! You will need a printer, because there's a lot to print. Tests aren't easy, but he gives study guides and review days, and he's very approachable. Can't recommend him enough, exceeded expectations.

Dr. Ruud is awesome. I can tell you how awesome he is but you can read down the list and see that. My advice if you want to get perfect scores on his Case briefs, go talk to him before you turn it in or before you start it. If you play a sport he works very well with you for make up exams. If you are struggling at all, just go talk to him.

He gives you all his notes but I recommend adding to them. Go to class for sure and enjoy his classic Dad humor. He makes law more interesting than it is.

He's a super cool dude. No exams and no final. A lot of homework, but it's doable and not hard. Take it with him. He's pretty flexible about missing one or two classes, but if you frequently skip I wouldn't take it with him as participation is a big part of your grade. I enjoyed the class this semester.

This class is one of the easiest classes you will take. If you show up and write down things he says, then you will pass. The study guides are the exact test, so do them!! A lot of the test is situational questions, so when he gives examples in class write them down. NO BOOK! Do the article summaries, those will save your grade!

Best class I have ever taken! He finds a way to make law fun and he loves it. It is an easy A just show up and do the assignments. Since he practiced law for twenty years he had a lot of experience in how law actually works. He was a great story teller and public speaker which made lecture very interesting. I always looked forward to class, easy A.

Professor Ruud is easily my favorite professor at ISU. As long as you pay attention to the lectures, you will never really have to cram for tests. He is always there to help you and will answer any questions you have the morning of the test in his office which I highly recommend. His lectures are funny and entertaining. 10 out of 10 recommend him!!

Ruud is an awesome person. Very energetic, knows his stuff and is hilarious. However his tests are insanely hard! He has many questions where its like All of the above or A and C which gets super confusing when it's almost every question. I would recommend another prof if you are worried about your GPA because he is really tough.

Loved this class and Professor Ruud. If you can take it with him do it. He lays out the course so you should get at least a B if not an A. If you put the work in, show up to class, and study for the exams (4, no cumulative final) it shouldn't be a hard course. Definitely a GPA booster if you put a little time in and do the really easy extra credit.

Tests are pretty hard because each question is worth a lot of points. If you fill out and study the sheet he makes you should be fine. An article summary is given once a week which keeps you coming to class. He's a great guy, but don't slack off like i did and it should be an easy course.

Amazing professor. While learning about business law can be boring, I really enjoyed coming to this class. He provides guided notes for lectures, study guides, and a 20pt extra credit opportunity. Grades are always up to date, so you never have to wonder what your grade is. Tests are tough. Make sure to spend a decent amount of time studying.

Although attendance isn't mandatory, if you miss more than a few classes you won't be prepared enough for the exams, so GO TO CLASS! The class itself isn't difficult if you are an A or B student.

There is not one bad thing that I could say about Professor Ruud. He was a great teacher and I took him for two different classes. I honestly wish that he could teach me for every single one of my classes at Illinois State. He is caring and willing to help outside of the classroom and always has a great since of humor. Attendance isn't mandatory but he will tell you which part of the notes will be on the exam so it lowers the amount you need to study which helps A LOT. Only 4 exams and they're straight from the notes. Need to study to do well. One extra credit assignment that could move you up a letter grade.

I wish I could have Dr. Ruud teach all my classes. He is a goofy professor and he definitely makes class interesting. All the lectures are available online and attendance is not necessary but he gives test questions every day in lecture so it is helpful. Your grade consists of 4 tests. I would recommend to take him! This class is based on four exams. Doesn't take attendance but there's no textbook so his lectures are super helpful. There is one extra credit opportunity so don't skip it.
