Super Interesting. The guy has a lot of real world experience and knows what he is talking about. Fun Class! Easy to get an A with a little effort.
Good Teacher, I just do not care about marketing laundry detergent.
If you do not take this class you will regret it! Schulz teaches useable, real world marketing techniques. He worked for Coke, Disney & P&G - he knows what he is talking about! Great teacher - fun class! Make sure you have good students in your group projects and that you really study his book for the quizzes. One of the best classes offered!
Awesome professor! He has been so successful in life, and now he wants to help students learn the tricks of the trade. He's super clear and down-to-earth. An inspirational person. I think everyone should take a class from Schultz. The work isn't too difficult, and his book (which he wrote) is interesting. He's entertaining, and awesome to talk to.
Great teacher. You actually learn things that you can go out and use. He explains things from a practical, real world perspective that he has actually used. It's not all just theory. The exams are a little ridiculous, but they don't affect your grade too much, so it's not a big deal.
Has lot of experience, but the later half of the year the class drags on. Group projects at the end were frustrating. Overall good class, cool guy, and easy material.
Great professor and real-world skills. I feel like everything I learned in this class I will use in real life, my favorite class of the semester.
This is the BEST professor I have ever! The class was also the best I have ever taken. He cares so much about teaching his students and wanting them to succeed. He has you apply the skills you learn in class with projects in the real world. This was the first class I've ever walked away from and actually used what I have learned.
Good class. The flow of it seemed a little choppy and unclear with how it came together at the end. There are a few group projects.
I thought Eric was a great teacher 2 years ago when I took Fundamentals of Marketing, but he has changed. He is burnt out, egotistical and doesn't put forth effort into preparing and teaching his class. One day we gave group presentations and he just lost it and cussed all of us out for no reason and gave us all F's on the 100 point project.
Professor Schulz is a pretty good lecturer. You have weekly reading quizzes that are fairly easy and a few group projects as well as a few mc exams and a final. If you pay attention at all and do the reading you will do fine. Word of advice- don't fudge your survey numbers! 13 of the students did & paid the price. He takes his stuff serious.
While I said MGT 3500, I might as well call it Eric 101. The second week, we had a class where he announced we can all put our notebooks away, he was just going to talk about his career that day. And we literally listened to him talk about himself for an hour. That wouldn't be bad if it wasn't typical. I have never met a more self-important man.
The rating I gave Professor Shulz isn't fair because his class was a little confusing and hard for me but only because there are a lot of subjective things in marketing and those are hard for me. He was HILARIOUS, he gave us VERY valuable marketing knowledge, and the professional experience and stories he applies in lecture are very valuable.
Professor Schulz is very animated in his lectures. This makes them very entertaining. He is a good teacher, but sometimes I felt like test questions came out of the blue, so make sure you go over even the small details of the reading. I would recommend him.
Schulz is the most self-absorbed professor I have ever had. His entire class is based on a textbook he wrote himself. In it, he throws random terms that are from there on held to as gospel. By the end of the semester, you will have heard that he used to work for Coke at least 15 times. And if you're REALLY lucky, he might even shake your hand.
Schulz was the worst professor I've ever had. He is self-absorbed and big-headed. He thinks that there is exactly one way to approach marketing and it's his way. He wrote the textbook and thinks it's gospel truth. His quiz and test questions are really random and he doesn't give you any direction of what to study. Also, the group projects suck!!!!!
Would highly recommend taking this class! He is a very experienced professor and passionate about the course. He brings marketing to life. Expect to work hard but if you do you'll learn lots.
Only marketing class i have taken and it was a really positive experience. Awesome lectures and the material is easily understood. Homework is easy, his questions on quizzes can be somewhat unclear at times. Shultz gives you a view into the real world of marketing that is for his students not simply something they must comply with to get a degree.
Pros: His class is filled with many stories that support the principles he teaches. His lectures are interesting and informative. Definitely learn the fundamentals of Marketing. Cons: It might as well be called Eric Schulz 3500. He talks about himself more than anything. His textbook has no footnotes or sources, and has very limited information
Schulz is an outstanding professor. It is true, he talks about his career frequently, but the things he shares are relevant to the material needed for tests. There are 2 group projects that you will have to work on during the course of the semester. Schulz truly cares about his students. If you want to be inspired take this class from Schulz!
Incredible professor with actual experience. Shares his knowledge. Definitely has a large ego, but once you accept that and really take his experience for what it is, the material is great.
The guy thinks he's the greatest thing since sliced bread. His tests are based on arbitrary information that you must memorize (easy to pass, but irritating). The group projects provided some good real-world experience, would love to see some more concrete, reality-based projects like that.
Professor Schulz does talk about himself a lot. Some people are turned off by it but those who look at the advice he is giving think he is brilliant. He is funny and entertaining. The hardest thing in the class is the group projects. (Don't get a dud group.) If you want an A do all the assignments. Don't listen to the complainers.
Schulz is insanely arrogant. He has alot of experience and there is stuff to be learned, but according to him there is only one right answer to everything in marketing. As a result, test questions are what is Schulz' opinion not what is fact. You'll also have to buy his textbook that has no sources cited and quizzes full of his opinion.
Prof. Shulz is an amazing professor. He had a very successful career in marketing, and sometimes seems like he is bragging about it at first, but he is really there to teach you how to have the same success. I would 100% recommend taking this course. It is not hard if you pay attention, and he is easy to listen to!
One of the best classes I've ever had. Yeah, he's a little arrogant and likes his ego to be stroked but his experience and passion for teaching have led it to be one of the best courses I've ever had. If you are a marketing major, you NEED to take his class. His myeducator course is great and straight forward and the class is very organized
Best professor I've had at USU.
Schulz was an amazing teacher, he may talk about himself a lot and his experience but he has earned that spot. Everything that he taught me, I was able to see in the world and make the connection. I really enjoyed his class and would defiantly recommend him to anyone. Just do the assignments and you will be just fine. Great class.
Absolutely incredible. He really knows his stuff.
I wasn't impressed with Prof. Schulz like most people are. He wrote the textbook and I felt a lot of the things that he said were not facts but just biased opinions he had. I feel like a did learn some but I didn't like attending class so I would skip a lot.
Eric Schulz has the biggest ego of any teacher I have ever met. Every lecture is a pre-rehearsed opinion session. He goes on and on about his experiences in marketing and bags on every other profession in the world. Not only are is lectures 99% opinion he makes you pay $80 for a book that is literally just his opinions. :)
Pr. Schulz has become a great resource for me. Now that I have passed his class he has endorsed me for a few scholarships, allowing me to win them all. He has a lot of real world experience so he knows what he is talking about. I learned a lot from his class. The tests and assignments are fairly easy as long as you follow his instructions.
Outstanding prof.- You WILL learn things that you will actually apply in your life from his class. He will inspire you. His lectures are very entertaining. He is very respected in the marketing program. He knows his stuff- had a successful career to back what he teaches. Bad reviews are personal and not a real reflection of him as a prof.
His lectures are pretty fun, but I felt like it was always a little abstract and not very practical. There are lots of group projects and assignments that come out of no where, but, all in all, he's a great professor.
Eric Schulz has been one of my most favorite professors. He is such an inspiration and you can tell how much he cares about his students and how passionate he is about marketing. The assignments are very straightforward and you can take what you learn in the class and actually apply it to your career which is cool. I would recommend 100%!
The requirements for getting an A is raised above 93% so that made it a bit more difficult. The class material was really easy. However the textbook was the professor's opinion from his personal experiences, so I felt like I didn't learn anything applicable. He is also a bit full of himself.
He is pretty arrogant, but he's earned it. He has tons of real-world experience and tells a lot of stories from his past. This is a good introductory class on marketing and Schulz cares about his students. Most people either love him or hate him. He wrote the textbook and he writes in a very conversational tone. The in-class quizzes can be tricky.
Great professor. Has tons of field experience and great stories. You do a lot of group assignments and homework, but honestly its an easy A. There are a few in class quizzes, but no tests hallelujah. He uses an online textbook from MyEducator and all the assignments are submitted through there as well.
Hands down, Eric Schulz is the best professor at USU. This University, as great as it may be, does not deserve him. The textbook is online, written by Schulz himself. His lectures are engaging, educational, and inspirational. This professor cares more about his students than anyone I've ever encountered. I consider myself lucky for the opportunity.
Everyone who complains about his ego on here is definitely a Green-minded thinker. If you haven't taken the course, you'll understand later. Schulz is a great teacher and draws off real-world experience to teach marketing. Sure, he talks about his experiences a lot, but I would MUCH rather hear about his REAL-LIFE experiences than memorize data.
This should be an easy A but he makes it harder than it needs to be. The final was one of the hardest tests I've taken. He doesn't give you any sort of study guide and he expects you to go through 13 long chapters and 18 lecture slides to find the tiniest detail he will put in the test. Same with all his tests, you don't know what to study.
This class is annoying... I feel like it should have been an Easy A. I had an A the whole semester, but his tests are an absolute joke. The final? Wow. Hardest test I've taken. Fill in the blank on over 20 slideshows for details that don't even matter. He's arrogant but knows what he's talking about. Overall he just doesn't understand the grading.
Eric is such a great guy. He really helps you understand how marketing works and has the real world experience to back it up. His class wasn't hard and the text book is an e-book that he wrote himself. Group projects are easy and not graded harshly. Study up for the test though as there are no cheat sheets and it's basically just what he's said.
4 group projects, 3 exams, 1 final, weekly or biweekly easy, online quizzes. An interesting and applicable class. Schulz is hilarious and his grumpy old man humor is 10/10. Exams are easy if you just memorize the slides and stats. Schulz has real world experience and I feel like I got more than marketing lessons out of the class.
Professor Schulz has a lot of industry experience, but is the most arrogant man I have ever met. He tells a lot of stories that are interesting, but it comes across as him bragging about himself. His exams are just memorizing the power points, so you don't have to actually understand the material. Do the work and you'll get an A.
He Is a great professor and has a lot of experience in marketing. He is able to teach clearly and help his students to understand the importance. I am an MIS student but have now considered Marketing as my major.
Not sure where all the hype for him is coming from. Average professor in my opinion and I have taken two courses from him. Sports Management was SO SO easy. Would take it again in a heartbeat it was so easy. Maybe 5 hours of work outside of class the whole semester. He is very strict on the sponsorship project though. Everything else is easy A.
In five years at USU I have not had a better professor. Schulz knows what he's talking about because its his career and his passion. I will forever suggest taking this class.
While he makes you do group projects they actually have a purpose and you learn a lot. He is extremely qualified and distinguished in his field. I HIGHLY recommend taking his classes.
This class is not hard. Read the text book, show up to class, and you will be totally fine on the tests. There are a few group projects which are kind of a hassle, but pretty easy.
He definitely know his stuff, though he comes off as a little braggy. My biggest issue with this class is the way that he does his quizzes and exams. 52% is memorization and fill in the blank. He doesn't give a study guide and just says to memorize the slides and you will be fine. Except that there are dozes of slides and stats. So stressful!!
Awesome professor. Sometimes he goes a little over the top but it's always funny when he does. I learned a lot and he helps you build good marketing habits.
Eric Schulz changed the way I think about Marketing. Take this class!! Each day I was so excited to go to class because his lectures were SO interesting and he's absolutely hilarious. His real-world experience is astounding and it just makes him super interesting and a reputable professor. He KNOWS what he's talking about. Do your work; get an A.
Professor Schulz definitely knows what he is talking about and gives the best advice for future careers. his lectures are always animated and he is fun to listen to. The textbook is on MyEducator and is written by him. I really liked it because he states things simply and the book is written how he talks. It is to the point and easy to understand.
Pros: His classes are interesting, easy class, the group projects are insightful, he has good real life work experience. Cons: The material is weak when it comes to sources, you'll only learn marketing his way, the tests are just random memorization of outdated statistics and his personal catch phrases.
Professor Schulz is extremely qualified, if not overqualified, for this job. He gives lots of good insight and has some amazing experience (I.e. Disney, Proctor and Gamble, etc.). He has no chill though. Dont ask him to round your grade, he doesnt care. Expect to lose points on assignments for not being able to read his mind as well!
Schulz makes students buy his textbook, so it is overpriced. He gives the rubric for an assignment after it is due to "help you learn" which lowers many student's grades. His estimate on how long an assignment will take is usually half or less of reality. His tests are very tough, all memorization, and he has a large ego so be careful in emails.
I have been graduated for 3 years now and I still think about this class all of the time. I learn and retain information better when I can connect it to a story. Professor Schulz has hundreds of stories that he tells to help the student connect the concept to a real world application. Pay attention and you will do great!
Professor Schulz is a classic, old school marketing guy. He's loud, he's brash, and he frankly has an ego. He's also one of the best professors I've had at this university and I find myself applying what I learned in his class on a daily basis. If you are a slacker, you won't survive this class. Do the work and be prepared to learn.
I feel like the class is getting harder towards the end of the semester, but it has been super easy so far. There are a few projects at the end of the semester that are more intensive, but he gives you examples of past student's projects that did well.
I LOVE Professor Schulz! Seriously one of the best Professors ever. He is so caring and funny and I genuinely enjoyed his class. He had funny stories to illustrate just about every principle that he taught. He has so much experience and is so successful. I would recommend this class to any and everyone!!
Eric Schulz is one of my favorite professors. His class is super easy, just read the chapters and watch lectures and you're good to go. He offers his students extra credit, plus posts lots of job offers in the field all throughout the semester to those who are interested. Easy easy course with a really great guy. He speaks from his experiences.
Great professor. Entire class is based on his experience, which is very respectable but you hear his stories a few times. Tests are straight out of the textbook and he gives study guides for tests. Wants all students to succeed and lets everyone know about job opportunities. Has weekly reading quizzes that are all on quizlet.
I absolutely loved Professor Shulz class. I feel that it was a very accurate and informational introduction into marketing. His lectures are very interesting and many test questions come from his power points. He's a great professor to get to know and is very helpful with not only class questions, but questions about the marketing career path.
Professor Schulz is a good professor with experience. This class wasnt by any means overly complicated. He offers a study guide for each exam, and if you follow it, you will succeed in the class. The final project in the class is kind of a pain, but the way Schulz grades is very fair.
Dr. Schulz is one of those people who are well respected in their field who shouldn't be. At least not as a teacher. Expect to read his mind if you want to get an A. I lost points on a test for not saying that a marketing campaign was geared towards women. I looked it up and the product is for men and women. He has an ego so don't try to reason .
He's a great teacher who really makes you feel like you just got this amazing inside scoop and advantage that you didn't have before. He has great lectures and a lot of reading from the textbook. There are group projects, but he makes sure you don't get stuck with a ghost. A lot of work, but worth it even if you're not interested in the subject.
One of the best online classes I've taken. Schulz's lectures are wonderful, and the textbook is even better! He has so much real world experience and stories, and it helps the material to be relevant. Definitely recommend taking this class from Schulz!
Eric was a pretty good professor. He is clearly very knowledgeable and experienced in the marketing field, and his lectures reflect that. His grading criteria was never very clear; I often got marked down on my work for things that were never mentioned in the descriptions or lectures. As long as you keep up and do the work, you'll be fine.
This class was so hard and Professor Schultz was not my favorite teacher at all. He has a huge ego and acts like his class is more important than anything else and is not lenient if you have a personal/family emergency and ask to turn in an assignment a day late. Directions were not clear and you had to basically read his mind during homework.
Don't know how people don't get an A... maybe because I'm not a biz major but this was the easiest class I have ever taken. You need to be detailed oriented. He provides tons of examples of the projects and his lectures tell you exactly what you need to do. How do people miss that? He's an excellent teacher people just have the wrong mentality.
While it is fun listening to the stories some of it really does not feel relevent today. Lots of busy work and stuff you most likely will not end up using in the real world. Main way to get an A is to find the study guide on quizlet and study it for each exam. Also, have the Ta look over your project before submitting.
First, It's not his ego that's the problem, it's yours. If you think you're above this class he'll catch on. If you don't do well, it's your fault. Second, you work in groups & he makes sure everyone participates. His lectures are great and he provides examples of what you need to do. For a 3000 level class, I hardly put any time in & got an A!
Marks you down for the tiniest details in all your assignments. If you do exactly what it says, you may still end up with 50%. The Grading Criteria is very strange and is just up to how Shultz is feeling that day.
Great class. Learned a lot of useful information, even though I am not a marketing student. His class is a must-take if you're a Hunstman student. Includes awesome career stories in his lectures.
I'm a senior and before this class, I had a 4.0 GPA. He thinks he's teaching attention to detail, but he just deducts points arbitrarily. Ex: I got a 55/70 on an assignment because I put a period after my first and middle initials, my only "mistake" on the whole thing. The material isn't challenging, but his grading makes getting a good grade hard.
Wasn't impressed by the way he grades, he gives no clear rubrics and marks off for random reasons. He makes you buy his own 80-dollar textbook instead of being able to get it off amazon for cheaper, just so you have to take the quizzes through his online book. His vague group projects are the worst because there's no real direction.
Had unfair grading style, I was often docked points for things not mentioned in the rubric even after he repeatedly said to follow the rubric exactly. Was forced into group projects and my grade relied on people who didnt value their grades like I did so I was forced to pick up their slack. This class made me decide against marketing as my minor.
The group projects are NIGHTMARES. If you happen to get a good group then it's probably fine, but I got stuck in a group with people who liked to wait until a few hours before it was due before starting their parts-- and they always did a poor job that I would have to go back and fix. Other than that, the class was interesting and laid out well.
Lectures are basically the same as the textbook that he wrote. Some of his assignments are basically graded on attention to detail, not actual content, which was interesting. Group project heavily impacts grade, but it's easy. I feel like some people put him on a pedestal, which I don't understand.
Professor Schulz is great at delivering lectures and making what he teaches feel important. There are multiple chapter quizzes throughout the week which can be expected for a 7 week course but the readings are super easy and enjoyable, not overbearing. The final exam is a tough one but it's open everything. Overall one of my favorite classes.
Lowest quality of a professor I have ever had. Believes he is the god of marketing but can't teach it at all. Everything learned was on my own. Awful professor.
Professor Schulz has TONS of experience in the marketing world. I am not a marketing major, but I feel that I learned a lot from this course. To be fair to others who had a different experience, I did have an amazing group for my project, which made things easier. But from an individual standpoint, I really enjoyed his lectures and course content.
He was the best professor I ever had. He made me want to switch my major over to marketing. He is not like a regular professor because he teaches real-life applicable things. For example, how to interview for a job, how to get along with co-workers by understanding the way they think, and how the system actually works in marketing. Great teacher.
I took his Adobe Graphic Design class, but I also took MSLE 3500 a few years ago. On 2650, he just has you spend $70 on a Pluralsight account, which actually teaches you to use Adobe software. You've got to watch 2-hour videos a week and do a project once a month. He can seem arrogant in his emails, but don't let that intimidate you.
Schulz is a highly experienced marketer who holds his class to a fair and attainable standard. He teaches his class using his real-world experience and presents case studies, which is the best way to learn. There is a textbook, but you'll get much more out of the lectures.
Ok don't get me wrong he is a REALLY good teacher he knows what he is talking about. BUT for an introductory course on marketing the grading was horrible. SO harsh. The stupidest thing was having to pay for HIS textbook to EVEN HAVE ACESS to the quizzes in the course. dumb and annoying but manageable
His tests were so so SO tricky and frequent. His lectures were interesting but don't always align with content on quizzes. There's a large group project at the end. Took this as an elective to learn more and ended up having the worst grade I've ever had in my college career (and I worked hard in this class). Not worth the mental stress and load.
Makes you pay for the textbook HE wrote. Hard grader on the littlest mistakes, you must follow the rubric exactly. Made quizlets with fake answers on it. Super long tests. Acts like he is a god of marketing and the first few classes was just him flexing everything he had done for the marketing world. Big group project need good members for that.
I really enjoyed this course, he was an amazing professor that made a lot of sense to me. His lectures were easy to follow and everything was accessible online to follow along with. I feel like he gives you all the tools to succeed in his class. He does have homework due almost every day that isn't hard just don't fall behind and you'll be fine.
I took MSLE 3500 in a 7 week course. That made the course load very heavy, with a chapter reading and quiz at the end due practically every weeknight. He says he will do pop quizzes and pop attendance, but that depends on how much your class comes and participates. My class only had one pop quiz in the beginning, and never again.
As other people have said in past reviews, this professor acts as if he believes he is the god of marketing. He makes you pay for a textbook that HE wrote, which is ridiculous. He also made us participate in a group project online, which is hard to manage when youre not on campus. This is class is also extremely test and project heavy. Busy work.
Simply put, those who put in the effort to succeed in this class, will. He can be a nitpicky grader and we do have to pay for his textbook, but I gained a lot of useful knowledge in this class, and you can't beat real world experience, which he has tons. Just work hard and read the textbook/watch lectures every day, and this class will go fine.
He is very egotistical and disrespectful towards his students. Many of his ideas and teachings about marketing are outdated now and he does not fully understand how marketing works in the modern world. I think most marketing professors at USU are fabulous, but I would take his advice and opinions like a grain of salt.
Since it is student-run, HMA is disorganized and I didn't feel it provided relevant experience. The club requires far more time than it should and the student leadership was not prepared for the semester. I suggest gaining experience elsewhere.
He is the best professor I've ever had and probably will have in college! I'm not even a business major, but the things I learned in his class will benefit me the rest of my life. He is super competent to teach because of all his experience!
Schulz is a great professor with loads of experience. But he does expect a high level of perfection from his students who are just being introduced to the Adobe tools. Ask for feedback from him it helps you fix your assignments to the right standards.
Lots of textbook reading. All the lectures were exactly the same as the textbook reading. Easy class if you do the readings.
This is the most qualified professor for this class. He knows his stuff, and he is very entertaining. Great professor.
Incredibly difficult class. The professor is very full of himself and is wholly unhelpful in preparing students for anything in the class. He clearly wrote the textbook (he mentioned it once or twice) and made sure to let students know that he is the end all be all to marketing. I would say take another professor....but there isn't one.
Eric is pretty full of himself but knows what he's talking about. He makes you buy his textbook, which is almost $100, and it's clear he wrote it. You have readings almost every day with mini-quizzes, but it's pretty stress-free if you stay on top of it. GET A GOOD GROUP; you will be with them the whole semester.
Probably one of the best professors I have ever had. His 7-week course, while very intense and workload-heavy, taught me valuable skills for the marketing world. His lectures are entertaining as he uses real-life examples from his experience at different large companies. The only weird part was having to pay for a textbook that he wrote(?).
The class can be summarized, "A great teacher but a terrible grader." If you're trying to uphold your GPA, don't take this teacher. It's almost a guaranteed GPA killer. I learned a lot from this teacher, but he grades extremely unfairly, such as taking points off for capitalizing a word (which is how I missed an A; because of a capital letter...)
He definitely knows his stuff, and his lectures are decent. He does ramble a lot about himself though. The #1 problem with the class is the group projects. I got lucky with my group, but if you get a bad group you're screwed. Easy way to pass is read the assigned textbook chapter every day and take notes. The final exam is just homework questions.
Ain't no professor better at teaching marketing than this guy. People hate on the man, thinking he's boasting since he worked in high places, but he just mentions those things as they're part of the stories he tells to demonstrate the principles. If you're willing to study, you are completely capable of getting an A in this class.
I took his class in person and his lectures were really great. You are in groups for many of the projects and stay with that group the whole time. Pick a good group of people and the class will be really easy. There are daily assignments because it is a 7-week course but they take like 10 minutes maximum and are easy.
Really experienced professor who knows what he is talking about. He uses real-life experiences and often comes across as full of himself, but I'm not complaining because he is very entertaining and cares about the students. Reading checks are easy but make sure to know those answers for the final exam! Lots of group projects so get a good group.
Eric is a marketing genius and isn't afraid to tell you. He knows what he's talking about and has had tons of work experience in marketing, especially in high-up positions in respected companies. He focuses on teaching real-world principles using experiences from his professional life. He is a great connection to have. Tough grader.
Professor Schultz has had an incredible career, so he knows what he's talking about! Please do yourself a favor and take his class before he retires.
A large portion of your grade will be based on group projects. He's an extremely tough grader and does not know how to give feedback in a constructive way; fairly condescending. Has had an illustrious career and will let you know about it. All-in-all, a very exhaustive and informative marketing class if you can put up with him.
Professor Schulz is a great professor who really cares about the learning of his students and even offers a weekly zoom for questions. Not everything in this class was easy and there were somethings I got a little animated about but Professor Schulz was always willing to hear me out in my concerns and address them when needed.
This professor is outdated, condescending, and unclear in grading. Focuses heavily on formatting, even when incorrect due to tech issues. Impossible to score 100%. Highlights past achievements to assert authority. Lives in Hawaii with night meetings for his convenience. Class is passable but frustrating; retirement seems overdue. Good luck!

He is clear and fair in his grading. If you did bad, it's because you didn't put effort and tried to get away with being lazy. Only did one project in a group and the last project you can opt to do on your own. Bad reviews here don't match up to Prof Shulz. In the workplace they want you to be accurate and precise and he trains you exactly on that.
The professor is knowledgeable, but can be difficult to work with. Lots of textbook reading and grading is strict. If you stay on top of it and get a good group, the class is manageable. Unstuck ai can be a helpful study tool alongside the textbook.
This professor does not care about his students. He does not give clear instruction nor a rubric, and expects you to do a group project remotely, which I understand, but not for the group project he assigns. Don't take this professor. He just assigns busy work and needs to retire.
He doesn't care about the students himself, I kindly asked for an extension on an assignment and he went on the whole lecture about how I should of figured it out sooner and that college doesn't work like that. I took this class online and had to do group projects, which doesn't make sense I don't go to class with them and took it online.
He rambles a ton, especially at the end of class just wasting our time with not applicable stories.
Class is fun, but the TA grades so harsh. She takes points off for absolutely everything. His syllabus makes him seem like he's crazy but he's super chill and very qualified. Lots of story time during lectures but they relate to the class. The textbook you use in class is written by him which is weird but fine. Tests are exactly like study guides.
Outdated Info, won't answer questions, big lectures, slides from 15 years ago, waste of money, get him out of here
I loved his Marketing 3500 class so much. He is so fun to listen to and learn from. He is a highly qualified professor. He worked in the professional field for years for large companies like Coke and P&G. He wrote the textbook, and it is straight to the point. You'll do a few group projects, and they will be doable.
