Shargo is kinda boring but explains everything well. He has notes in bookstore that are easy to follow and tests are taken from him. His lab class has easy 10pt. quizzes. Take him, hes probably the best bio teacher at MP
Though its difficult material, he sells notes that go over everything on the 4 tests, so theres not much guesswork its only a matter of studying. Lab quizes equal a test and a half of easy points, very easy quick labs. explains well
You can buy his notes, and it has a review for the test... study! it's definetly not a easy class. You have to keep up studying other wise you'll fail the tests.

Very arrogant and rude if you ask me. SELLS you his notes, must make a fortune off that! he just makes you feel like he is better than you because he has his PHd. Although, I did get an A in both parts, and if you arent scared to ask him questions hes ok.
Shargo is not a bad teacher, but people were cheating their asses off and he just turned a blind eye to it. Also, he does not control what goes on in class. He is not easy, but if you study hard you can do it. He seems very burned out
he is not a very good teacher. he knows his stuff but has no idea how to get it across to his students. he is very arrogant. he is hard to talk to and makes you buy his notes. i would not reccommend him. the lab he offers is pointless.
Boring. No class interaction. I think he told one joke all semester. If you want to learn on your own its not so bad but there is a lot to remember. The labs are pretty cool but other than that find another bio teacher.
worst bio/science teacher i've ever had. read his own notes but doesn't really explain well. everyone cheats no one learns anything his albs are totally pointless. his tests aren't that bad. but its torture sitting through his lectures
Dr. Shargo is an excellent professor who is one of the best at Moorpark. His lecture style is clear, percise, and understandable. I cant imagine anyone complaining about his classes unless of course they are those lazy students who want everyone to do their work for them.
lecture based, lectures packed with info, easy tests as long as you study, drops lowest grade in both lab and lect.likes wind surfing, his attitude depends mostly on the class, our class was very motovated & interested.other classes probaly were packed with cheaters & students fresh out of high school.
He's very straight to the point. To get an A the key is to study the study guides. He's entertaining and easy to understand. Good teacher.
He was very straight to the point with what is on the tests so you know exactly what to study,is also very willing to help. Only thing I disliked was that there was a group of people that always cheated which was extremely frustrating when you have done all the work and they havent.
He is very clear and straighforward. No surprises. You don't have to really do any work in the lab, but if you are a slacker, he will find a way to even the score. Once a student left a tape recorder on up front and left. Shargo turned it off. You gotta love it.
his tests are out for physiology, anatomy, and biology. take him easy A. he has not changed his test for last three years. this guy acts like his blind during the test to so you can cheat.
He has changed his phisiology tests. He is very burned out. Seems bored, he is always ill. He is not a bad teacher, but lacks spark and interest in the subject matter. I kind of feel sorry for him. I think he is trapped in the tragedy of tenure.
I like that he is very straighforeward with the tests. Lecture is kind-of boring. I wouldn't say it's an easy A, but if you study, you will get it. He doesn't seem to care if students learn.
Very straightforward. Comprehensive lecture notes are given at course beginning. Well organized, thorough. You know exactly what you need to study. Is available for help, welcomes questions. Only complaint; ignores cheaters on lab exams.
His material for tests come right off of his lecture notes. You don't really need to read the book. He's easy to understand. Tests are okay.
very thorough. straight to the point. welcomes questions. i liked him a lot!
He was a good teacher and his tests come right form his lecture. I did not buy the book for either class except the lab manual and I got an A. He does not care if you learn so you have to be responsible for that. If you care enough to ask questions he will answer them. His old tests do help with studying ALOT, so ask around.
He is the worst teacher I have ever had. He writes words up on a chalkboard, and this is supposed to be teaching. His class is easy, but if you don't learn anything, how is it supposed to help you later on.
He knows the material better than anyone else but he is one of those teachers that lectures the whole time without any student participation. He doesnt care if u come to class, learn, or participate in class. He seems bored with his job. During lab he would leave and wouldnt come back for hours. Not recommended!
Not a good teach. Doesn't help you out much. Never made time for students. Labs are not useful at all, waste of time. Doesn't care if you even come to class...makes it so you don't want to go to class.
WOW. This is the kind of teacher that makes you want to learn. Fabulous lectures. Really knows his stuff. Wish he taught more classes!
Prof. Shargo is the type of teacher you'd hate while you're taking his class, but whom you'll love when you move on to the next courses. he knows his stuff really well and is willing to help students. his exams asks for complete understanding of the material at hand and since there are a lot of them, you have to devote many hours just to learn them.
he's a phenomenal lecturer, and incredibly approachable. I admire him a great deal for his ability as a teacher and extreme intelligence. This class is hard, folks so get ready. But when you get an B in his class, you'll feel like you really earned it, so it's totally worth it to take Shargo over an easier teacher.
this class is hard. you have to know that going in, so no matter who you take its going to be difficult either way. his lectures are very boring since the subject isn't very exciting, but he knows his stuff. the tests are VERY hard and require a lot of studying. follow the objectives and you'll do okay. hes not generous when grading, no curves!!
Great teacher. When you leave his class you actually feel as though you learned something. You do have to study for his tests, just follow the objectives and you will do fine. He will answer any questions that you may have. I wish he taught more classes.
Very good teacher, very clear and precise, knows his stuff. Not easy though and no curves or extra credit. Drops lowest lab and lecture grade. Study the objectives and you will do fine. Don't need to buy the latest edition of the textbook, any Anatomy book authored by Marieb will work just fine. Actually you could get away with just the lab manual.
Fair at grading and knows his material well. Does his job even though he has no interest with his students. Recommended if you need a quick easy way to learn basic Anatomy.
He is nothing short of genius. Yes, he does seem a bit bored by what he does but if you ask questions and express an interest in the material he is happy to help. He is a wealth of knowledge about all physical/biological science topics. He grades fairly but for ESL students his lab tests are a pain - he docs us for all incorrect spelling.
What a great professor, he knows his stuff backwards and forwards and he helps you with every questioin that you may have. he also has a great sense of humor, study your objectives and put your time into memorizing the terms for lab tests and you will do great. i HIGHLY reccommend him, Shargo you are the best!
He's great! Willing to explain, and is very knowledgeable. He's got a sharp sense of humor. As long you study objectives, you'll be fine. Highly recommended!

First off, save yourself some serious cash and DON'T buy the lab manual, you will not use it! Instead buy an older version of the anatomy book and buy the CD he sells in class for $60, its more helpful than anything. Tests are MC with 2 concept quest. Not easy! Study objectives! Labs: always get out early He is a funny guy and I enjoyed his class
FOLLOW OBJECTIVES HE GIVES YOU AND U WILL DO FINE. MOST USEFUL ADVICE I CAN GIVE. MEMORIZATION IS KEY!!!
Hilarious guy because things come out of his mouth you don't expect. Labs: only have to come to occasionally. Tests are pretty easy. Lab tests are extremely easy if you know how to memorize. Enjoyed his class a lot and I would recommend him to anyone. Really knows his stuff. Even asking him random questions, he always seems to know the answer.
He really knows Anatomy and made the subject easy to understand. He was always willing to answer questions (although he would disappear from the lab every so often). Follow and understand the objectives that he gives and the exams will be pretty easy. He has a pretty dry sense of humor and is kinda nerdy..but he made anatomy easy to understand.
He makes a clear subject difficult. He dislikes everyone. If you aren't dead he's not interested. Offers no ec, do not take him. A big turn off to a very motivated, interested student.
The worst teacher I have EVER had.Only take this class if you enjoy freaking out about failing. Doesn't understand the concept of explaining. Loves saying "Clear as Mud?" and then smiling because no one understands.
This professor is amazing! Everyone who says he is hard probably just did not do well in his class. He gives you so much information and tells you exactly whats on the tests. This class is an easy B but you have to work for an A. You will learn so much in this class. This professor is like a medical dictionary! Take him if you want to do well&learn
I don't know why people think he is easy..I had a 4.0 and got a B in class to ruin it..regardless of working harder than i ever have before. He doesn't care about the student, teaches more Physio. then Anat, and takes way too fast during lecture. His lecture tests are pretty hard with multiple choice and two essays. Lab tests get easier as they go
This teacher is a very bad teacher. I would not reccommend anyone to take anatomy with him. He does not explain anything very well or tell you what you need for class. The day we were skinning cats he did not even tell us to bring our disection kits he made us buy. DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER!
Great teacher. I agree that not to fun, but come on its Anatomy, major memorization required. He is very helpful. Always there to help and explain, very comprehensive. Lab tests are easy. Multiple choice test are hard, but if you really study you can get an A. I took this class over summer, in 5 week and still got an A. Take him if you really want
Worst teacher I have ever had, and I currently have a 4.0. Do not take this teacher, you will truly regret it
If you plan on attending class and study, this professor is great. His teaching is very straight forward, and he tells you everything you need to know. Also, very well organized.
Was disappointed in class. Thought it would be more interesting. Teacher has no passion and is boring.Everything is self taught. Lectures are useless, he talks too fast. He sits at his computer during lab and doesn't teach, not hands on. Lots of memorization and self discipline. Only points are tests. No EC.
Nice Teacher, I liked the class very hands on. Dr. Shargo Doesnt Seem to do the one on one teaching thing though. just follow the objectives and go to class every day and you should be fine
good professor. lectures are straight forward and tests follow his objectives. study them and you will do fine. he has a dry sense of humor that made me laugh. he might not be the most approachable, but he is always willing to help when you have a question.
I know deep inside I was failing this class & yet manage to pass this class. He clearly knows what he is teaching. Ask him & he will explain it to you. I dont know why others say that he is hard. Yes it is hard if you dont study. I had doubts on taking him but he is a cool doctor. Recommended to all.
Professor Shargo is an extremely helpful, patient Professor. If you read all the things associated with the objectives he gives you and go over the lecture notes that are also pertinent relevant to the lecture, you will be fine. This class covers a lot of material and requires a lots of work.
I am taking his anat/phys class. I still have an A in the class, but only because I have the ability to memorize word by word from the textbook. As it was mentioned earlier Shargo does not lecture very well (find time to study on your own) I just had my lecture test #3 and 15/40 question were from his head. Do not take the guy. He is not very fair.
Great Teacher!!!! gives you all the objectives the first day of class. This is a tough class, but I dont think im very smart and I got an A. TAKE HIM
Tough class. But if you are interesten in nursing or anatomy this is a great course. He will go over any information you want but if you don't ask you may get lost.
Shargo is super reasonable and always helpful! Just make sure ou ask. I was not looking foward to this class at all, but he made it interesting. He really knows the material and is always available if you have questions. TAKE HIM!
I took his class last fall and he presents the material in a manner that is easy to understand. Plus he gives out the lecture powerpoints if you ask for them. Make sure you take good notes though since he does go over things not in the powerpoint. I happened to miss the final by accident and he let me make it up the week after.
I'm currently taking his class and so far so good. He is very helpful and like many said if you have a question simply ask. His lectures are understandable and all his test are based on his lectures so I suggest you record the class if you like but as for me I simply just listen and take good notes.
AMAZING Prof! He KNOWS his stuff, enjoys teaching & is funny. All tests are based on objectives he gives u. No surprises. He loves questions during class & gives u all the time u need after class for 1 on 1 help. He puts concepts 2gether 4 great learning. Subject is hard; he makes it much easier. Gotta study duh. Id take him again! Thx Dr. Shargo!!
great teacher! lecture test are hard but if you pay attention and take notes you will do great.
Great teacher and subject! Provides all the objectives in lab book and has pictures of lab exam material in book. Need to study by answering all objectives but overall very straightforward and doable. Ask him questions! Go to lab! Got an A!
Provides all study material for test! Tough class to begin with but if you study his objectives you'll get an a! Record his lectures also to answer objectives - he talks VERY fast and it helps when studying considering his test working is similar to his lecture wording. If you record lectures don't need book
Dr. Shargo is def one of my favorite profs at Moorpark! His lectures are clear & to the point. He answers all your questions & is really helpful. He provides objectives(study guides) for all the exams. 4 lecture, 5 lab + 1 final exam. Drops 1 lecture & 1 lab exam. No tricks. Know the objectives, study for labs and get an A. Take him, he's awesome!
Yes he is very smart &knows his stuff but he doesn't engage the students at all! He is so monotone &makes it impossible to follow along. He goes through lectures so fast &doesn't explain things clearly. I suggest you bring a laptop to take notes because you won't be able to write everything down fast enough by hand. Some students record lecture.
great guy, the thing is he is crystal clear and if you dont understand ask questions! he is always willing to help. funny guy and all you need to do is study objectives thoroughly and youll be fine.
Dr. Shargo is an incredibly knowledgable professor. I took his anatomy class this summer, and was pleased.Attendance isn't mandatory AT ALL. If you record lectures, you don't need the textbook. His exams and grading are very fair. He doesn't care if you're late or don't show up. You do have to be self disciplined and study on your own time.
Dr. Shargo is very helpful. I took this as an summer course, so the pace is very demanding. Going to lecture and correlating what he says to what you see in lab is imperative. Lab exams are worth more than lecture exams, so go to lab! It's really up to you how well you do in his course, he gives you all the available tools. Great professor.
Anatomy is a tough class to behind with, but he is a great teacher. He knows so much about anatomy and physiology that its unbelievable. Attendance and textbook are not mandatory, but if you know the objectives in the lab book you are set. Highly reccommend not skipping lecture. Don't let the essay questions intimidate you, they are easy points.
Dr. Shargo is one of the most knowledgeable professors that I've met at Moorpark College. He really knows what he's talking about so it was a joy to attend lecture and lab. Anatomy is not an easy class, so studying outside the classroom is mandatory. Be on top of your studies and getting an A should be no problem.
Shargo is great. He explains everything really well, and if you need help- just ask! He's really funny and fair. He provides you with a list of everything you need to know for the tests and sticks to it. Lab is independent for the most part, and he doesn't take attendance. I rarely used the book- the lab manual and lecture is all you really need.
He talks really fast so I recommend recording the lectures and taking notes off of them again on your own time, my grade really improved after I started doing that. He is monotone, but is really nice and answers all your questions. Lab was pretty pointless, but gives you a lot of easy points. Record the lectures & study the objectives!
Dr. Shargo is by far the most knowledge professor I have ever had. He really knows his stuff and extremely helpful during lab. However, this class isn't an easy A. Anatomy is a demanding class and if you ask him what you should study for the exam, his answer is always "know the objectives". Studying for this class is a must!
I only showed up probably 4 times and got an A. Easy class. If you read the book, you will know A LOT more than you need to, but you have to read when you don't attend class like me lol. His test are based off his "study guides" in the back of his lab manual. Know that and you'll have an A! Plus, he drops your lowest lecture and lab test
This class was by far the coolest class i have ever taken at moorpark. Professor shargo is awesome! super helpful, is willing to answer any questions you have. Moves fast during lectures but he never makes it boring. Theres lab and lecture study guides in the back of his lab manual, as long as you study those you should get an A. Take him!!
Very good professor. He goes a little fast with his lectures, but you will have to speak up in order to be heard to have your questions answered. Labs are a great time for studying for exams. He allows recordings, and I highly recommend doing just that. I don't know what I would do without the recordings!!!
Professor Shargo is amazing. His lectures are long, but come on its anatomy. I found that as long as you read the textbooklab manual, and you go to lecture, you will be fine. He drops the lowest lablecture test. Labs were always fun to go to. He will answer any questions you have. Really cool professor. Would definitely take again.
Dr. Shargo is awesome. Anatomy is a hard class no matter who you take it with. Shargo tells you everything you need to know on the exam. As long as you study and pay attention you will do fine! Is willing to help, just ask him! Really knows his stuff. if youre not interested in this class, dont take it. Drops lowest lablecture exam.
Cool guy. Incredibly knowledgeable. But hard to get ahold of (via email)... It's extremely important to study off of the objectives. They're almost the exact same questions as the ones on the lecture exams.
AWFUL teacher! Did not "teach" once in my class. Lecture is very fast paced and he doesn't go into detail on anything. Lab, you walk in and are expected to automatically know what to do, even on first day! Horrible. Refused to help my class. A lot of tests! Better love to read multiple chapters per class. DO NOT TAKE!!
He teaches the way any college professor should teach. Record his lectures and you will get an a. He gives you the objections for the tests which are basically the test questions. This isn't an easy a class, you have to work for it. If you study the objections and listen during lecture you will do fine. He's always willing to answer questions.
I am a straight A student & I have never had so much trouble in a class. I am pre med & was thrilled to be taking a class that had to do with a topic I am passionate about. However Shargo ruined my experience & excitement. Maybe anatomy is better but he is not a nice or helpful man in general. I love learning & I didn't learn a things from him.
The test are hard in this class, his lectures are very fast and I feel he didn't go over everything on the test. He gives you what to study in the back of the lab manual but its a lot to remember. As for lab its all self taught he basically sits there until everyone leaves. If you are a self learner then you'll do great!
Dr Shargo was a good lecturer in content but he went at a very brisk pace. He did seem to have endless patience when answering questions. Exams were very fair but there is a lot of information covered so read and review everything thoroughly. Flashcards were helpful. Make good use of lab time if you want to do well.
Prof. Shargo is very laid back and knowledgable. He is very helpful if you just ask. Tests are all based on the objectives, so study those! Many don't even show up to class and still pass.
Professor Shargo is very knowledgable and a great professor. I would go to him in lab for clarification and he would always take the time to make sure I understood the material. There were 5 exams and 5 practicals. Very straight forward with study guides/objectives for practicals and exams. I really enjoyed his class.
Dr. Shargo is really one of the hardest professors I've ever had! Anatomy is much more of an independent studies. His really smart, every question you ask he calmly answers and explains it. His exams are just ridiculously hard! Use the lab to study and pull up your grade as much as you can! I would not take his class again.
LOVE LOVE Doctor Shargo! Took him for Anatomy & Physio. He's incredibly knowledgeable on both subjects & he simplifies the material (as much as possible - it still is VERY complex material & you have to give 110%) & is incredibly patient. He always stressed the importance of understanding the concepts and not memorizing the chemistry or diagrams.
Dr. Shargo was amazing! I took his summer course and as long as you study the objectives for each lecture exam and go to lab to study for lab tests you will do great. He's very knowledgable and open to questions, you just can't be shy because he's not very approachable. But he'll answer anything for you!
Don't be afraid to get your hands dirty. There are real cadavers and you have to touch them to memorize all the muscles and blood vessels. Lab exams are weighted more heavily than lecture exams, so learn everything you can during lab time. I averaged 70% on lecture exams and still got a B because I aced the lab exams. Shargo will answer questions
Mr. Shargo is not enthusiastic about teaching. During lab he will sit down at his computer w/o giving any instructions, so we teach ourselves and it's frustrating! He will only help if asked to. He's very knowledgeable but I wish he would share some details! Lectures are very basic, so get ready to read. Study the objectives and you'll do fine.
I took him for anatomy M01 and I wouldn't want anyone else teaching it to me! His lectures can be long, but he is very knowledgeable and will fully answer every question you have. Despite having an objectives list to study from, you should show up to every lecture and lab because there is never a pointless day in that class. Grade is based on exams
Dr. Shargo is a good teacher. I took his Anatomy and Physiology class. His Anat final is harder than his Phys final but I thought Anatomy was easier than Phys. If you show you are trying in his class he will give a better grade if you're close. no extra cred, he drops a test in Anat (not Phys). phys labs are easy. no hw, grades are all by exams
Dr. Shargo is extremely smart in regards to Anatomy. He only grades off of lab and lecture tests and there is lots of information that you need to learn for each test. Be ready to study. He has hilarious dry humor, and is there for you if you have any questions, but to pass it's all on you.
If Science really isn't your forte, be prepared to study long hours just to keep up in this class. Shargo's lab consists of you with you're book in front of you, studying for the next test, with the occasional dissection here and there. Lecture is insanely fast as he goes 2-3 chapters ahead of you. Answer study questions at the back of the book.
I had the pleasure of taking Dr. Shargo's Anatomy class in the summer I loved him so much I even took him for physio. His exams are reasonable you need to study in his Anatomy class there were 5 exams and you can drop one tests were multiple choice in physio there was 5 exams but you cant drop a test. Really respect him best teacher i have ever had
Professor Shargo gives you a lab manual (that he wrote). Read this and the objectives in the back, and you will pass. Loved that showing up was not mandatory. It is what you put into it. He will answer any questions, and go over the cadavers with you as many times as you need. Really cool guy. Just don't be afraid to ask him questions..
Shargo is amazing. He wrote his Textbook so there is no fluff. He gives you what you need to know. Could easily receive no lower than a B. Lab was the best! LAB is open and you are working on cadavers most of the semester! Manuals in back of his text are what you need to know exactly for every exam! The deeper the semester the harder that exams.
Not a super warm and welcoming teacher. It seemed he was a genuine guy, but he made it pretty clear that he didn't want to be there teaching so I didn't like that, his lectures were monotonous I maybe saw him crack a grin a few times throughout the semester. I thought re-listening to his lectures on my phone helped, also doing the objectives.
Dr. Shargo is a pretty chill guy and has a laidback teaching style. His lectures are kinda boring, but he spices them up by including little jokes in there and on exams too. He is always willing to help students out, even if he has to answer the same exact question three times! All-in-all, not a bad guy, just remember to put in the work and study.
Dr. Shargo's lectures are very fast, I suggest recording them & transcribing them as the answers to all the test objectives are in them. He's always willing to help out during lab, don't be afraid to approach him. Didn't use the text, just use the lab manual. Make sure to go over the structures in lab, it helps a lot. Grade is just tests.
Took Shargo for combined Anatomy/Physiology. Lab exams weighted more than lecture exams, so do well in lab. The only things you're graded on are the lecture/lab exams. Gave objectives to study off of, very accurate for lab but for lecture exams not so much. Study off his slides and GO TO LECTURE and you'll pass. Makes you work for an A.
goodish teacher. don't show up to class might as well teach urself everything. lots of memorizing. overall not an awful teacher subject is just difficult
Dr. Shargo seems like he knows a lot about the subject, but I did not enjoy how he taught it. His lectures basically consisted of a powerpoint full of pictures with him explaining it in his own words which can be either way too fast or hard to understand. Eventually, I had to just resort to self learn in his appendix.
I took his anat & physio in the same semester and it wasn't as work heavy as I thought it would be. He really knows the material and has his own slides that he can personally give to you so you could study them at home but if you ask him a question, he kinda just repeats what he says instead of clarifying. Follow his objectives and you'll pass.
honestly if you're ready to start looking up lectures on youtube take this class, no lab worksheets or even instruction to help understand the class material. Very smart teacher but he talks about anatomy and doesn't TEACH it
Dr. Shargo is an amazing professor, these comments that say "a bunch of memorizing" probably didnt realize that this is ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY. DUH. He gives his own slides and created his own book, just study hard and go to his office hours you will pass! He obviously knows what he's teaching and explains it profoundly.
Great professor, I would NOT Recommend skipping class. GOOD LUCK STUDYING ON YOUR OWN. I respect Dr. Shargo as he is very knowledgeable of anatomy and physiology. Wish he was just a bit excited to teach to wake us up a bit! But overall great professor! Highly recommend him
Great class! Do the work, lots of work, and it's an easy A. Lecture exams are easy as long as you answer the objective Q's. For lab exams, memorize EVERYTHING on the list. DO NOT MISS LABS as it will be the ONLY time to study the things you can't at home, such as cadavers. 5 lab exams, 5 lecture exams, 1 of each exam dropped. Semi-cumulative final.
Great class! If you want an A, make sure you show up to at least the lab, ask questions if needed, and follow the objectives in the back of the lab manual. Objectives an outline of what is on the test. I recommend watching youtube videos and using the anatomy textbook because he has to pack a lot of info in a small amount of time during lecture.
Took this professor twice during the summer. Got an A both times granted 10 years apart. He was right though that the class hasn't changed. You could use the textbook but you can save yourself the money if you go to class. The tests are straight forward. You either know it or you don't, and spelling counts.
shargo is really chill and doesn't really care if you go to class or not. he never took attendance, didn't know anyones names, thats prob why people liked him. teaching wise, he can go pretty fast and not very detailed. his slides are only pictures--no words-- worst way for ME to learn. i struggled a lot and studying all day didn't help either.
Dr Shargo gives you all the information and then answers all the questions you have as many times as you ask them. He is happy to go over the cadavers in the lab as many times as you want. You don't have to go to the lecture really as long as you learn everything in the lab manual you'll get an A. His lectures are enjoyable and I learned a lot.
He had good lectures and lab was great for studying plus you need to examine slides, cadaver/etc. if you want to actually learn the material so go to most of the labs. He offered everything you need to pass, and was happy to answer every question. Memorize the study guide and you will get an A. I wish he taught physiology so I could take him again.
Really easy and to the point. Took his 7 week summer anatomy and it was easier than I thought it would've been. My recommendation is record his lectures & then listen to them & re-write everything word for word. A laptop is recommended also, lol. All in all real simple if you pay attention. Also found his objectives on quizzlet so that was helpful
I never had time to watch his live zooms but the recorded ones were all very informational. there's a textbook which has most everything, use the study guide for the exams and memorize parts of the body. it is not a difficult class if you put a little more effort into this class.
Professor Shargo is very patient and will repeat himself as many times as you need. His tests are challenging but not impossible if you study for them correctly; they are very comprehensive so you have to really know the info to test well. He is tough, but more than fair. I suggest taking Professor Shargo if you arent afraid of a challenge.
Dr. Shargo's tests are very challenging because of how they're worded; you'll have to study a lot. He made several grading errors on exams, and had to be hounded to fix them. His lectures are uploaded on Canvas, so you don't have to watch the live ones which is convenient. He also dropped our lowest exam grades which was very helpful & kind of him.
Prof Shargo is not who u want to take for physio. This class was deadly! Unless u record his lectures and memorize everything word for word u will not get a good grade in this class. U cannot wing it!! If u do end u taking him for physio I highly recommend making a GC w/ the class and keeping in contact weekly about labs and exams.
I took professor shargo during the fall of 2020. You are only graded on lecture exams and lab exams both of which are 40 questions each. He drops two of your lowest lecture and lab exam. Pay attention to what he says and youll be fine. He speaks fast but he has no problem answering questions or repeating himself. Go over pre recorded lectures.
Professor Shargo was okay for the most part, I wish he offered some extra credit. He only graded the exams and our labs. The labs were based on the Physio Ex assignments (must purchase). I bought the assigned book but I never used it because all of his exams are based on his lectures. Pay very close attention to his lectures, take good notes!
If you like doing things on your own and love the teacher doing nothing than this class is for you. All this teacher does is lecture for the lab he just sits in front of his computer like if he has something to do. What a joke a professor with a degree in anatomy who can't teach people. I would rather break my arm then take his class again.
Let me preface this by first saying that I am not the best school wise but I love this professor. If you show up and pay attention you will do well. Its all about memorization for lab and studying the study guides and you will do well. I would 100% take him again. Not to mention hes literally so funny.
keeps a good energy flowing with cracking jokes. very caring in the way he teaches his students doesnt get annoyed when you ask too many questions he is always there ready to help you understand. he does move a little fast when speaking in lecture but he has all of his recorded lectures online which is a good way to refresh yourself.
Prof. Shargo was okay. He goes really fast during lectures and it can be confusing, but luckily he posted them online so I could go back and review. Your entire grade is exams - lecture exams and lab exams. He drops the lowest one (thank God!) No homework or quizzes, just a lot of studying for tests.
If you are someone who needs a professor to teach you the information in class and you don't want to do anything outside of class... you might struugle. However, Dr. Shargo posts recordings and gives objectives. His tests are easy and are surface level questions. Lab is easy and he will walk you through stuff. Take it.
Prof. was not terrible, but moved very quickly during lectures. Very test heavy; lab + lecture exams make up your grade, no assignments. Biggest issue was that no grades were inputted into canvas, and at the end of the semester many submitted final grades were incorrect - a whole letter grade lower than what it was supposed to be.
He only grades you based on exams(lab, lec,+accumaltive final) He doesn't drop lowest grade. Ask questions and study his recorded lectures until you understand. I recommend not taking this class if you have other hard classes. He is a nice guy but just doesn't know how to teach you in a way you will remember and understand. Goodluck!
I was apprehensive about this course going in, but Professor Shargo knows the material cold. You can ask him any question about the material, down to prefix meaning and he will answer in moments. He uploaded all of his lectures on canvas so you can review them in your own time. Follow his objectives and just keep reviewing. If I did it, so can you.
Lectures are hard to follow, you can barely take notes because he quickly moves on. Only graded on lectures and lab exams, so study his recorded videos and the objectives list he gives.
Prof. Shargo's class is all about memorization, but with some effort it's manageable. The lectures can be fast-paced, but the recorded videos are super helpful. Unstuck ai was a game-changer for my study prep - it really streamlined the review process.
Pretty funny guy. Knows the material incredibly well. Very lecture heavy and goes very fast. You MUST study outside of the lecture times to know the lecture material well. Take advantage of the lab time to review the specimens for the lab exam. Grade is only composed of exams which can be very challenging. If you can, take someone else!!
Nice guy but not a good professor. Terrible lectures, gives you 0.5 seconds to read the slide before going onto the next. Will answer questions if you ask them but nothing more than that. No homework only exams… if you want to actually learn please take someone else or BE READY TO TEACH YOURSELF ANATOMY!
Attendance is mandatory, both lecture/lab. If you miss one class you're cooked. He gives you no time to take notes on slides during lectures. No homework, just exams. Read the other ratings. Be ready to teach yourself Anatomy! If you end up taking him, there are a bunch of Quizlet's for exams/final former students made. Take someone else!
he is nice but his anat and phso classes are horrible. he rushes through most slides before you can finish your notes and doesnt use canvas to grade or ANYTHING. he uploads old video lectures but no slides and he will offer to share his slides if you buy a flashdrive but they are NOT the same and are missing 80% of the content. dont take this class
This class was definitely difficult, but I knew it would be. Personally I enjoyed the class, Mr. Shargo is very knowledgeable and he knows what hes talking about, my only complaint is that I wish he was more tech savvy. This meaning that he doesnt post the slides, a
Professor Shargo does not know how to support his students. The entire semester, everyone in his class was constantly confused. Very stressful exams. No additional support is offered and you will have to teach yourself. Take with anyone else.
