I loved this class. It really helped me to start thinking critically about lots of things other than just writing.

Eric is awesome. He is hilarious and makes all of his classes a blast. He was unclear on most of the assignments but gives unlimited revisions. He truly cares about you as an individual and wants you to succeed. If you cannot pass this class you should not be in college.

Eric does a good job at making what he says very clear. I didn't have any problems staying awake in class, very funny and animated. Easy going and makes his students work for their grade. Willing to always work with students. Unlimited revisions to bump up your grade on major writing assignments. Great class for work ethic while being entertained

I learned more in Eric's English class than I have in any other English class. He is an excellent professor and makes it very clear what is expected. The revisions taught me that the saying, "There is no good writing, only good editing," - Andy Rooney, is absolutely true.

I really like how he had unlimited revisions for major writing assignments. It wasn't really clear on what to do sometimes. He's very helpful. Makes class fun. I think could be a little bit more serious with the class but that is just me.

Super cool teacher. He is hilarious and makes the class interesting. The only thing wrong is it is pretty much a high school class. A big part of the grade is participation. Attendance taken, bellwork every morning, homework every night, no phones, no sleeping. Nothing wrong with these rules just doesnt feel like a college class.

Super chill guy. He runs on a first name bases and he likes to joke and make class interesting. Unlimited revisions on papers and is always willing to help his students!! I'm taking his 2010 class next semester. Attendance is mandatory. Just make sure to participate and do your homework :D

This was a great class and it was a lot of fun. There was quite a bit of homework but it was all pretty easy. He is a great teacher that is understanding and actually will work with you. I am taking his next English class in the fall.

Overall a fun experience and actually helped me become a better writer and understand the writing rhetorical devices. It was a pleasure coming to class everyday.

The only other thing I would have liked to have learned is to better express myself through writing. We had the assignments and everything, but I still dont feel that I improved as much as i would have liked.

Great class i liked examples and clips used in class to explain things. I really liked working in groups and i liked how he involved the whole class everyday. I didn't really like the RTA's at first, but i learned a lot from doing them.

I really enjoyed this course. Eric always incorporate humor into his lesson plans and made them entertaining. He is really big on participation and is always willing to help. I looked forward to going to class.

it only allowed me to pick three things, but i would also put that he is there for me. he is always there to listen and help me better my grade which is something a lot of professors lack. He is also very intuitive and respected by his students. just think of him as your next favorite teacher.

All you need to do is comment of Facebook 2 every weekend go to class every day and write three papers. Get the books, there not super expensive, you might not use them a whole lot but you might get extra credit if you have them!

Eric is a stud he is a great teacher you have to put an effort in but class is way fun and lots of ways to help your grade if you need. You have to go to class and you have to participate.

Eric is great. Its not like any other English course you've ever taken. Most of it is group work, but you do get to pick topics you are interested in writing about.

I think Eric Stephens is a great teacher. He does a very good job at getting all his students involved with the learning that is being done in his class. He also is very helpful. When you ask him for something specific he is always willing to give a response.

This class was an excellent opportunity for me. Since I've usually been in large classes, I usually kept to myself. But with this class I feel like I was able to open up and really get the help I needed to learn what I needed to learn. Great life skills and great experience.

His lectures were engaging and interesting. His class had a lot of group work. A pretty reasonable teacher as far a grading, except for the fact that 15% of my grade was for other's writing that I helped to edit, so if someone slacked off and just wasn't doing the work, there wasn't a lot I could do.

This guy is a riot. Really smart, really funny. He will take the time to learn everyone's names and remember and use them. He knows his material well. If it's your birthday or something, tell him and he'll make everyone clap for you. I Think it's funny. Joke with him. Enjoy

Definitely only take his class if you're wanting to be doing group work. If you like classes that you can do without being in class, this is the wrong professor to take the class from.

The subjects that we were tought are really interesting and I have found it cool to see it apply to real life. The project was tough at the end of the year though.

Mr. Stephens is a wonderful teacher. This class is great if you don't usually like English classes. He applies the lectures to the modern world and helps students improve their problem solving skills and helps them to rhetorically analyze everything that we see, read, and hear. Great incorporation of social media as well. Clear, fun, great class!

Awesome teacher. Knows his stuff, and definitely willing to help you out if you just ask. knows how to connect with students and very understanding when things dont necessarily workout say when things need to be turned in and their are issues with internet or email.

The discussions in class were interesting, even entertaining at times. He's very helpful and makes sure you know what's expected. You need to be willing to write, analyze, and edit papers for this class in order to do well, but it's really not a difficult class. If you like to write at all, you'll probably love it.

This professor was great for this course. You only have to write 3 essays for a group magazine throughout the semester and the essays are enjoyable as well as helpeful in implementing the theories you learn about in this class. Eric is funny and will always have you thinking. Group work and class participation are a MUST!

This professor is laid back in class but he expects you to work hard. His teaching style is probably one of the best I've worked with because he gives a lot of examples of what you are learning.

As a graduate-school-bound student himself, Eric relates well to students. Perhaps because of that, he doesn't seem to command the same respect as some more wizened professors. He is chill, funny, has reasonable expectations. Knows his stuff well enough. Group work was a major part of the course, which can be tad annoying at times.

He's a good teacher and cares if you learn. because of that his class is a little more time consuming. if you are expecting the class to be canceled a lot like some other teachers your going to have a bad time. fun class, always interesting.

Eric was the best, there is extra credit so that you can focus on just doing good in the class. I loved this class and would totally recommend him as your teacher for English. Working on a group magazine instead of essay after essay was really fun and I actually learned a few things in this class that I use everyday.

This class was different than any other English class that I have taken before. The whole semester was focused around a group project and three main essays. The essays aren't bad because you have a long time to edit and work on them. Eric is a great teacher and very entertaining. I would definitely take a class taught by him again.

I really enjoyed this class. There is a lot of group work so expect that. There are only three papers due all semester. He's a really cool guy and super helpful. Only down sides to this class was the amount of work. But I would take it again. Good teacher
