Awesome professor loves what he does. I highly recommend him, if you want an "A" or "B" take his class!!! NOt alot of homework and the homework he does handout is a cake walk. His tests are also multiple choice 35 questions tops. Makes class interesting, keeps you focused. Very funny, great guy, loves what he does. Highly recommended.

Mr. Thopson is one of my top 3 teachers i have had in my college experience. You will learn so much. He loves to teach his students. His home is all take home and his test if you study you will past with study guide. I recommend him totlay. I even talking him again for one of his other classes.

professor Thompson is by far the best teacher you can ever take. he is the most layed back, cool professor at RCC. he probably has more game than a lot of his students..ha. and his class is not hard at all. show up, participate, and recieve your A, or B if you're lazy. bad part of class is group presentations but they are easily graded and not bad

Thompson is a great professor. He leans to the right a little bit but other than that, his class is kick back and enjoyable. The only part that was not fun was the debates, but his is usually very leniant when grading. He encourages discussion, helps his students, and keeps it interesting. Though he is clearly a conservative, his class is fun.

Pretty straight forward. Read 4 articles, write the summaries for them, and do the study guide. I missed a few days, but I still managed an A. If you don't go to class, you can probably make it as long as you read and know what's due.

The only thing I could have done without in the class was all the group work. But that was not Prof. Thompson's fault, but the lazy students in the class. Thompson is a really nice teacher who cares about the success of his students. He's also moderately easy, esp. his tests!

MR. Thompson is very interesting and funny his hilarious jokes keep my attention. I learned alot about sociology and the views of others that he discussed. His class is easy because he makes it interesting and understandable. he is a very intellegent instructor i look forward to seeing him in sociology 2.

He is funny, and his lectures are clearly laid out. Very entertaining. There are clear guidelines for the exams, essays, and articles.

Thompson is an awesome teacher. He really knows what he talking about. The hardest part about the class was the term paper and that wasn't even that hard. He make a study guide for every exam so that helped a lot. And he has a website that was very useful. He has a fun and interesting style of teaching. I highly recommend this teacher.

fun guy nice makes things eassy. u have 2 read a short book and write a few papers if u buckle down a few times you'll do geart test aren't hard at all do the study guides you'll get @ least a B everytime.

best teacher i was able to have. i had a veryyyyy early class. and i ended up getting a "C" but not because of his teaching methods. my own fault. but he helped me out so i didn't fall as behind as i started to. amazing teacher! highly recommended

he's easy, hilarious, has interesting stories. he grades off APPROXIMATELY: 4 multiple choice exams, 1 multiple choice final exam, 5-7 journal responses (1-3 pages each), participation, 1 main essay on animal farm (approx. 4-8 pages?), and other small assignments.

Mr. Thompson is a great christian teacher who makes his class very interesting. He does assign short papers throughout the semester but they are not bad at all. Read the materail that he assigns and show up to class prepared. You will definitely enjoy his class as you learn alot about sociology.

Professor Thompson is fantastic. He's got a smooth intelligent swagg, and looks like a cuter version of Mark Wahlberg. He usually has a story or good example to explain the`material. His studyguides are very helpful and his assignments are few and very reasonable.I actually learned and retained things i his class.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Mr. Thompson its a good teacher and his class it very fun and he never boring and he always show you cool videos. however this class has alot of writing and a huge fianl paper its a 7 pages but it not hard but you have to work the papers to pass the class and the exam are more not hard.

He was easy and too bad he is married beacause he is hot. His tests are common sense and have papers due that are time consuming but a great professor to have.Take him.He's very entertaining and hot.

TOOK ONLINE! Easiest behave science you'll find. In a week- 2 discuss quest's + responses, article review, and test every 2 weeks. Tests- easy with book. If you need the class, this is probably the easiest you'll find.

Eric is such a great professor! He always uses real life experiences to keep the class interested! As long as you pay attention,participate and try on your assignments you will get an A. He also made Sociology so interesting! I loved this class!

What can I say...he's gorgeous. A hottie...His class was soooo fun. I loved it and I got an A. He requires a lot of the student but the test and assignments are easy as long as u study what u need to know. At least he tells the class what is going to be on the test and all of the answers. My favorite assignments were the violation project and monopoly in the classroom hehehe...most ppl who study get As and Bs. It's possible to get 100% on the tests too.

Took online. It's easy. Discussion posts, you have to reply to other students and 4 exams. And an easy essay about Animal Farm. Make sure to stay on topic for your discussion post, put effort into it and you will get A's on them. The tests are simple, straight out of the textbook. If you want an easy online class, this is a good one.

Absolutely the best professor ever! He is the reason why I changed my major from Business to Sociology. He teaches with a passion and knows tons about the subject. I took 3 classes with him while at RCC! Not to mention he is super cute!! Everyone should take a class with him!

Very charming man. Learned a lot from his class in a personal and educational perspective. Class was a breeze, requires a lot of group work. 2 papers. DO YOUR READINGS PRIOR to next class for quizzes. I think we only had 4 tests. Pretty easy. Great way to discover YOURSELF.

His religious beliefs bled too much into his curriculum IMO. This class should've been called "Traditional Marriage & Christian Family Values" class. He paints feminism, marriage equality, & affirmative action in a bad light. He sometimes seems confused/disinterested when people talk to him. Everything is from the book. EASY CLASS. Poor teacher.

Great if you want an EASY A. Otherwise it was boring, felt like i was back at high school level. Not much homework, study guide that was basically the exact test.

He is a great teacher in class, I think however his online courses need a little more of his attention and clarity.(I took both) and failed online. I recommend if you take this Professor get into his class you well enjoy the lecture and the comedy he adds too it. If there is anything you don't understand just ask him to clarify.

I highly recommend Mr. Thompson! The class is so interesting & helpful. If you do not like a professor that tells his beliefs on something, then take a different teacher, I found it refreshing listening to someone that had passion about his own life & the life of others. Came away w/ hope in marriage & raising children. Study guides important.

Cool teacher, almost never any hw. Sometimes we had to do article reviews while using two definitions. He is very funny. Tests were easy as long as you study the definitions. No quizzes.

Took this class online as a fast course. At first seemed intimidating but once you get going, it's real easy! You do need to read the textbook but it's and learn terms. Thompson made the assignments fun and engaging! Definitely would recommend this for anyone looking to take soc1 or as an intro to online courses.

Professor Eric Thompson makes sociology so much fun. It was hard work but fun and great discussions . It required a lot of reading and mind work but very educational. The who class was based on the required class book, so you will need the book. There weren't to many test but 4 chapters at a time where complied into on test . The test weren't hard

Loved this class because of professor Thompson. I had taken sociology with a different instructor before but dropped it because the material wasn't interesting. Professor Thompson made the subject interesting and made me look forward to attending the class every day. Thompson also has a GREAT sense of humor. Study and you'll do well.

Professor Thompson is an outstanding individual. Considering it was my first time taking college, I told him that, and he was more than willing to show me the ropes and help me. He's very nice, fair, and gives clear instruction. I hope all my future professors instructors are like him! If you're going to take SOC 101, take it from his class!

Anyone who says this teacher isn't clear or thought the in class group quizzes were hard maybe shouldn't be taking college classes. He is crystal clear on what he wants and expects. Read the assignment, the info is all on there. follow his guidelines and it's cake.

I've taken Professor Thompson's class twice. Intro to Soc and Family/Relationships. I loved him, he's very engaging and helps all of the criteria relate to you. He is my favorite teacher at MVC and I would recommend him to everyone. You have to have the book for the study guides, if you finish the study guides you will get an A in the class.

As long as you do at least the minimum requirements, you'll pass. He offers a lot of extra credits and it really boosts your grade. He gives the study guide a week before the exam and the study guide is literally the same as the exam.
