Eric is an extreamly easy, fun and good looking teacher. He knows his tuff and works with everyone so that no one falls behind. A lot of the time he makes up assignmnets as he goes, but it all owrks out for the best. There is a lot of essay writing, but it is only beneficial. I highly reccomend Eric for anyone who unfourtunatly has to take Prep Eng

great guy to have for a professor. funny and intelligent. easy A if you just study and write down notes for his quizzes or tests. overall kickass dude.
eric is my god.
This teacher is freakin awesome. He's young and is able to relate to students on a level we can understand and you also come away actually learning something. There are 2 papers and the occasional hw assn, but if u take notes and study for the tests (which was only the midterm) you'll definitely do well.
Personable and knows what he's talking about. Learned a lot just through class discussions. He can go off on tangents, but overall a very interesting and excellent professor.
he is awesome! He knows his stuff and he is really good looking. He makes you read the textbook but as long as you do it, then you will be fone.
awesome guy who makes class interesting with tangents and jokes along the way. extremely intelligent and good looking. 2 writing assignments with fairly easy tests if you read the book & take notes. you will come out of this class loving the subject, highly recommended! :)
I LOVE Mr. Wallman. He's my favorite teacher, and the class is my favorite subject. Not to mention he's very attractive.
Professor Wallman is an awesome teacher. Im not interested in this area of study, but after taking intro w/ wallman i have learned sooo much and will take him for any other Hum class i need! Really easy, just HAVE TO READ!!
What?! Okay, Wallman is a cool guy. But his class sucked. He canceled class like 6 times. He's rude to students and sometimes you wonder why he got into teaching in the first place. Half the time he acts like he's better than everyone, the other 1/2 he acts like he doesn't care about anything. I didn't learn much from his class at all.
He was a cool teacher. I learned a lot in the class and he made a boring subject interesting. I don't know why the person that wrote below me said he was rude...he was always very nice and cared about his students. If you do the work and study for his tests you'll get an A! It was a very enjoyable class.
Wallman does not deal with laziness, absences, or excuses. He only ever wants to see you work and learn. He'll make you laugh, show you weird stuff, but he'll also fail and withdraw the lazy. He sees college as a blessing and won't tolerate someone who doesn't make the most of it. Can't wait to take his philo course and actually learn philosophy!
He is a young guy that can really relate to college students. Not a bad teacher and will explain things very thoroughly until you understand the different concepts talked about. Make sure you do the assigned reading and read it carefully. He gives lots of quizzes, at least once a week, on what was read.
AWESOME TEACHER! HE IS VERY DOWN TO EARTH AND DOESNT GIVE A LOT OF HOMEWORK. KEEPS CLASS INTERESTING AND DOES GROUP WORK. VERY EASY GOING AND GRADES WELL IF YOU PAY ATTENTION AND LISTEN IN CLASS. YOU WOULD BE A NEW SPEICES OF MORON IF YOU FAILED HIS CLASS!
I took Philo with him expecting to learn a little bit of interesting philosophy and kinda be lazy in one class. Wallman is great. He's a little bit unorganized at times and your never really sure if he just made up his notes/class assignment that morning but somehow you always learn a lot and have fun doing it. Experienced, relatable, good.
Amazing professor. He can't stand freshies that text/talk on their phones/skip class. Considers college a privilege, and if you take it seriously, he'll show you all the crazy things you never would've known about before. Also took him for Intro, and getting ready for Philosophy. Ivy league class at Community College prices. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
He made class very interesting and I learned A LOT about the subject. It isn't hard, but it's not exactly easy either, you have to study and read the book. Great teacher, take him!
He is probably one of the best teachers at Valencia, his teaching style makes the subject understandable to people who don't already like it, and for people who do (like myself) it makes some things clearer and you will still learn plenty. You will have to read and do work to do well in his class. I definitely recommend him!
He's really interesting and relates to college students. But he gives quizzes like crazy, has your average hum teacher's views on religion/politics,and grades papers hard. My biggest complaint was how hard it was to get an A,I felt like I studied non stop to pass quizzes and tests. If you want an interesting class and are okay with a C or B take him
Great Teacher. One of the best Professors i have ever had. He makes you want to do good. Alot of quizzes and his test are kinda hard, but if you go to class everyday, and study.. a lot. then you should pass.
Easy class but he is rude and arrogant. When I asked him for my grade before the final he looked at me and was like you should know it and then I got a B in the class when the person sitting next to me got an A yet all my test scores were better than him. Counts off for being late and is strict on attendance.
The first essay was viciously graded, Then things fell off and were easy. Read the textbook, do your questions, and participate and you'll be fine. Use the writing center for your first essay, it was a massacre.
Professor Wallman is the best professor I have had so far. I am a good student, but I also ask a lot of questions and he made sure I understood everything. Yes, you have to do the work, but isn't that college? If you participate, do your homework questions, he will totally meet you half way. And I dislike Humanities, but he made it very enjoyable!
He is a funny teacher that relates to his students. His class isn't too hard and he gives you the notes in class although I recommend reading that assigned chapters. Mid-term was alright if you paid attention in class and you need to study for his final. His requirements for the papers are short and easy to do. Few opportunities for extra credit.
Took for Intro to Humanities. Took to prep myself for future mandatory Hum classes. You learn the basics, which help later on. Class easiness was about 75%. you have to read whats assigned, and you have to pay attention and take notes. tests are a bit difficult so make sure u study. 1 paper, not difficult. Nice guy, and real cool.

interesting class
Not many assignments, easy grader. He gives 2 short 500 word essays, 1 Mid-term, and a final. Actually read the book chapters because it will just make the class even easier.
Philosophy is a complex and confusing subject. However, Professor Wallman makes it relatable, interesting and very easy to understand. He encourages open discussion and was always interested in students thoughts and ideas about topics. Read the assigned chapters, come to class, participate and study for tests and you'll do well in this class.
Professor Wallman is an awesome guy. He's funny and makes the information completely understandable. Encourages discussions. Gives quizzes on the reading so make sure you read the chapters and come to class. Midterm and Final are easy as long as you review. SUPER HOT.
The pepper doesn't lie. He's hot. But he's also an amazing teacher. Gives quizzes every class, but takes them from the study questions. He's an easy grader and really nice.
Guys, guys, guys! He's not hot. He's extremely smart and funny and probably the best philosophy teacher I will ever have, which makes him that hot.
Wallman is a fine piece of man meat. Mm.
Best humanities teacher ever. Taught me how to be a better writer and pushed me to try harder. Really fun coming to class and listening to his stories and participating. If you do your study questions when assigned you'll be golden. only 2 exams and they come from the study guides and class discussion.
As said below, the pepper doesn't lie, he's pretty easy on the eyes. Class is very interesting and insightful. He's young and hilarious, but don;t piss him off or he will rant for like 30 minutes. Don't slam the door if you come to class late because he will be pissed. READ READ READ he gives pop quizzes. Just read and take notes you'll get an A.
Professor Wallman is great. He's young, so he uses examples that are easy to relate to. He does tend to go on tangents a lot about weird stories, but they're funny. The book is confusing but he lectures on the sections. Philosophy is boring but he makes it interesting!
Pros: He is an awesome teacher! Although his humor is a bit vulgar, it was shockingly funny and i got a kick out of it. This made me so interested to read the textbook(oh, and the pop quizzes). Cons: Essay Questions on the midterm or final exams. Make sure you know that stuff.
Took him for 20th Century. Definitely a hottie, if you like the intelligent surfer/skater dude type. He's young and funny and relates to students well. Tells you exactly what is on midterm and final. Had 3 papers, missed most of the pop quizzes (10% of grade) but still got an A. Just come to every class, read the book, listen and you'll do great.
Very good teacher. Pop quizzes, but they're easy if you read and barely count for anything. Study questions aren't mandatory, but necessary when studying for the test. Tons of off-topic stories, but really interesting. likes what he does, I recommend his class. Easy tests if you read. Only 3 absences, but depending on your class he'll lenient.
I absolutely recommend this teacher to anyone! Matter of fact, I would take him again. He is an entertaining teacher forrsure, one of those classes you never have to look over at the clock because it goes by so fast. He is hilarious and reviews the material on an interesting level. However you must read and plan on studying if you want to get an A.
Eric Wallman is my world. I know that's a bit biased sounding, but his teaching styling and anecdotes, in conjunction with the infinitely fascinating material presented, were exactly what anyone would need to ignite the flames of interest in philosophy, or just in critical thinking in general. I highly recommend this professor.
Prof. Wallman is so entertaining! He's very helpful with everything and I loooked forward to coming to class this summer. Must read book thoroughly to pass. Two tests, a couple short papers, discussions, and quizzes! Would gladly recommend and take again.
Prof. Wallmans class is seriously awesome to say the very least. He puts everything into perspective, and actively participates in in-depth philosophical class discussion. Class is never boring, that's for sure. I look forward to his class every day. Will definitely take more of his classes in the future.
Coolest dude ever. He teachers in such a inspirational way and maks the concept interesting. It waso nice to finally meet another professor that actually cares about teaching and doesnt see it as a job.
Professor Wallman was incredible. His teaching methods are the perfect mix of classic and contemporary. He gets a little off-track alot of the time and ends up telling hilarious stories. SO hot.
Prof Wallman is tough but fair. He gives constructive criticism on papers so you can improve for the next one. The midterm and final are multiple choice and quite easy - just study what he tells you. Loads of charisma and intelligence.
GREAT TEACHER, I HAVE TAKEN HIM MULTIPLE TIMES AND EVERY TIME HE WAS THE SAME AND ALWAYS GREAT. VERY GOOD AT EXPLAINING THINGS, TELLS GREAT STORIES AND GOES BY SYLLABUS AND USES BOOK REGULARLY ! DO NOT HESITATE TO REGISTER FOR ONE OF HIS MANY CLASSES! :)
I'm actually pretty bummed that we've reached the end of the term for once. I really enjoyed taking philosophy with Wallman. He is enthusiastic, which really helped, considering I took the 2.5 hour class on Friday afternoon. He lays everything out and gets the students well prepared to achieve an A. Loved his class, will take another with him.
Really laid back guy. Knows his stuff. Attendance is mandatory. The class isn't too hard and he makes it interesting. Majority of the class is lecture and fun group discussions. He can be kind of offensive in his humor though, but overall a great class.
ALL CAPS TO TELL YOU HE IS A GREAT TEACHER. Not offensive at all. Take his class and learn! YUH!
He's funny and makes things interesting. His quizzes are BULL, they are completely random, and are graded with no remorse. His lectures have little to do with his exams. Other than that, if you're not into this stuff, try someone else.
He is awesome! he makes it seem like the tests are going to be super hard but turn out to be super easy. he grades essays pretty harsh, hw was easy, he kept the class interesting, I would totally talk him again! YOU WILL NOT REGRET THIS.
Wallman should be reading poetry to me on a woolen blanket in the English countryside.
He's a great professor and he's smoking hot. Probably the sexiest professor I've ever had...and he's extremely funny! Just make sure you read the text...you won't regret it!
Professor Wallman is a mad genius minus the frazzled appearance. Taking his class is one of the smartest decisions you can make at Valencia College.
Wallman's pretty laid back. Try at least skimming through the required reading before going to class. Participation is key to getting on his good side. Participate, read, and the class should be cake.
Wallman's pretty awesome. He's the prof who convinced me to try Rollins instead of UCF! He's very opinionated. His lectures are interesting, but god forbid you try to argue an opinion that is opposite to his. The class I took was also full of preppy snobby kids. On a side note, his looks & intellect together-I would totally go out with him.
Good professor, not hard, took him for PHI. Lots of reading required, but I still passed w/ the minimal amount. Go to class and write down the notes, super helpful, and you'll pass. He's not really interested in knowing how you feel about a certain philosophy, just that you understand the concept. Not enough classroom discussion. Would take again.
This Professor is great i learned so much from him. He makes the class fun and you actually enjoy it. He is funny and got cool stories. Read the book and answer the study questions packet and you will be good
This guy is so boss! He knows everything. He has the biggest brain.
I had Wallman for Renaissance and Baroque. Take his class! Workload is light, he's not tough on grading and he passionately makes sure students understand the material. Best of all, he is very funny and intelligent about all kinds of things. I can honestly say I enjoyed each class!
Took Baroque and Renaissance with Wallman. Workload is pretty light-moderate, class is always interesting, and he is extremely clear and helpful. I never went to a class I did not enjoy and never felt stressed about the work. Best of all, he's hilarious and a human encyclopedia. Take his class!
The Sexiest Professor I've ever had. plus he is super funny and smart. I actually enjoy going to class and Im learning new stuff , he makes the class so interesting. I would totally go out with him.
Mr. Wallman is an awesome teacher. He makes learning exciting and a good experience. There wasn't one class where he didn't make me laugh. I always looked forward to going to class when I had his class that day. He's really cute too!
Amazing teacher, extremely brilliant, witty, and very clear expectations. He made all the material interesting. And, I hate to be a follower, but yes, he is EXTREMELY good looking :)
Nice teacher, grades your papers unfairly. Though you are allowed to use your study questions on the quizzes, they are not usually the same exact questions. MUST STUDY for final and midterm. Not an easy A
He's an excellent prof! He knows what he's talking about, he presents it on a level that you can understand & relate to, & he gives clear expectations for the work. He grades harshly but his class is fun. Take notes, read the book, you will know whats on the tests. This is a class where you'll actually remember what you learned! Just pay attention.
Great professor. Took 20th Century with him Fall 2013. He is pretty amazing and laid back, workload is moderate. His expectations of what he needs from you are clear. He is NOT an easy grader, do your work and you will pass with an A no problem. Really looked forward to go to his class, he makes it interesting and fun.
Cool class but I got caught plagiarizing. He didn't kick me out of school he was nice about it. But you can't find ways to plagiarize his papers. Hes a pro at catching you.
Do not think about it twice. Take him. Best professor I have taken. Makes class extremely interesting. Funniest&chillest, most interesting professor I have ever met. Easy to connect with, and his stories are always the best. Do not regret taking his class. Not a lot of work but your grade will reflect whatever effort you put into it.
This professor is the only professor that made me somewhat interested in Humanities. Very cool! Read and do the study questions he has on his website and you should do great!
Not interesting, very condescedning, wouldn't recommend. There are way better professors at Valencia
Professor Wallman is so hot but then again most professors are trolls, so maybe they make him look better. My class was great aside from the obnoxious guy who smelled like snuff and made stupid comments and freaked out all the time. But Comm College isn't full of Ivy Leagers!
Wallman has a lot of awesome experiences and stories to tell. Very cool and knowledgeable prof. Makes sure to be objective when talking about religion which I appreciated. Super cute and very passionate about teaching and Valencia which was awesome. 3 papers and 4-5 quizzes. Need the textbook (I rented in library) and attendance is mandatory.
He's cute and a funny guy, if you have to take humanities, this is the guy you want. only problem was that whenever i asked for help i was often shrugged off, told to "read more", despite having done all the reading, and noticed that he'd spend time after class with other students helping them out but he'd always avoid helping me out when i asked.
DO NOT PLAGIARIZE IN THIS GUY'S CLASS! HE CAUGHT ME TWICE, MADE ME RE-WRITE BOTH ASSIGNMENTS AND I STILL GOT A D IN THE CLASS. COLLEGE ISN'T SUPPOSED TO BE THIS HARD.
This guy is totally radical. Getting an A is the survival of the fittest though...
i really liked him and got an A. Just don't throw away quiz grades like an idiot. He was pretty rude towards this cute girl in this class who wanted to know about grades, dates and would never answer her study guide questions lmao!! i think he just thought she didn't need the help, apparently she got A's on everything. It is possible to get an A!!
He is certainly not the easiest teacher. I am a straight A student and he certainly put me to the test. I would not recommend him if you did not know how to write papers. He is a tough grader, but very clear on what he wants. Jokes on you if you think you will cheat through the papers. He is great at catching plagiarism. But overall good teacher.
Professor Wallman is a great teacher. He makes class fun and interesting while learning. You can tell he is passionate about the subject. There is a lot of reading involved but if you read the chapter and show up to class, you will pass. Study questions are used on the quizzes! And he is HOT! I recommend you take him, you will not be disappointed.
Wallman for the 2016 presidential election. Awesome professor.
The best professor I've had! I'm sad that my class ends in 2 weeks. He's really hot too so that's always a plus. Down to Earth & funny, tries to make the class fun for everyone. As long as you put in effort & don't bs your work, you should do well. Really helped that i knew about the subject & we would have discussions in class. Fun class!TAKE HIM!
this was my favourite class all semester. he made 20th century humanities exciting. Funny, nice to look at, has awesome stories of his travels. He makes me want to travel so bad. If you want to pass his class you have to work for it. It was not easy. One major essay, two small essays. Make sure you get the book, and read it!
hes hot!!!!!! and a good professor
This is a short summer class and I am so disappointed because I wish I could be in prof. Wallman's class longer or forever! !! He is super funny, smart, and smoking hot. The best part is he is super laid back and approachable. This is how every class should be - challenging but completely possible to get an A if you work.
Wallman loves teaching like the crocodile hunter loved nature. You can tell. He travels to the weirdest places so he can teach some aspect of the humanities that other professors would never bother to learn about. He's like Indiana jones or something. He explained the relevance of Viking poo found in America
This class was great. Professor Wallman made the information so interesting, he is very passionate about what he teaches and hilarious. Definitely one of my favorite professors
He's a great and funny guy. The class is easy if you pay attention and do all of the work. He'll keep your attention in class but you have to show up to class.
Google "Artists vs TMNT. Epic Rap Battles of History Season 3 Finale." It's hilarious!
Favorite professor so far! He is super helpful if you don't understand something. He made me laugh every class, he knows what he is teaching very well & makes learning fun. Enjoyed going to his class. Everything is done online, I took his class hybrid. Some things are a little tricky but just ask him to clarify. Do study questions and you'll pass!
Best teacher I've ever taken in college. Highly recommend him. WOW
Wallman provided one of my favorite learning experiences at Valencia. He is very attentive. He gets to know his students & finds different ways to engage them while keeping the room comfortable. The work he assigns isn't particularly difficult, but it's college level stuff. You do have to put the time and effort for the grade. TAKE HIM. He's fun.
Prof. Wallman is a very knowledgeable teacher who prepares you for your higher level courses. He expects you to act like a college student and you get exactly what you earn. His tests are a tad tough but he gives you all the tools to study with. Your study questions are EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. They are your study guides for tests and papers.
Awesome Professor. Definitely down to earth. Need to do study questions but the one essay we did was cake. You do have a few discussions throughout the class, but not anything extensive. Midterm was a bit tricky (but humerous) and I expect the final to be the same.
What an amazing professor! So traveled, so witty, so passionate. Would definitely take for any class. Do your work, do all of the readings and ask questions. You will easily pass. The exams are all in the details, not just the big picture. Do not skip classes and you'll be fine. His D-print is on point.
Really into the lessons & explains what is going to be on the tests/quizzes. You 100% need the textbook to pass his assignments. It's really easy just look through the chapter. Good lectures that keep you interested.
Awesome professor and funny guy. Interesting topics as well. There is no reason you shouldn't get an A in this class.
best teacher I've taken yet, lecture are my favorite about the class, mr. wallman is very passionate about this class he makes it fun and easy to learn definitely taking him again soon
Wallman was one of my favorite professors for my last semester here hands down. He isn't a tough grader, just follow along in class, and do the readings/questions so you can understand and participate in his "lectures." He's really funny and honestly genuine and respects your opinion and makes class fun so you actually look forward to going.
Pretty good professor. Really great at explaining things during his lectures, however, pay attention to his lectures cause that is where most of his quiz questions will come from!
His lectures are interactive and if you take notes you will do well. The quizzes are not easy. Paying attention in class and reading the material is necessary to pass. Professor Wallman is down to earth. If you are ok with honesty, he is the professor for you. He wants his classes success but expects students to put in the work. I loved his class
Eric you were a great tour guide
Very good at getting his point across, and keeping students interested and focused. Assignments aren't too difficult, but still will get you to think.
Respectful. You know if he puts it on the white board - it WILL be on the test. I have basically taken every class he offers. Totally enjoy his teaching because you can tell how passionate he is about the topic
Professor Wallman is an absolutely great professor. He knows exactly what he's talking about and finds ways to relate philosophical concepts to everyday situations. If you try to think of situations in your life that relate to the concept and discuss them in class, you'll understand what these old philosophers were thinking about.
Great professor. He values effort more than anything, and if you participate in class and do your work, you will pass. I had an issue with blackboard (which is the home of all of his quizes and hw) and he was skeptical but i sent him a long email and he basically said that if i care that much about his class then i could make it up. Very funny too!
Amazing professor that has a passion for the topics and subjects he teaches. He is also caring and considerate but only if you are the same about his class. He likes to make his lectures fun by incorporating his funny personal stories that either make the whole class laugh or sit in awkward silence. He's awesome though!
Prof. Wallman was a great professor and his class was relatively easy. His lectures are interesting and he uses a lot of simple examples so you can't get lost. I took his hybrid class and never felt overhwhelmed by the work. I learned a lot but was able to easily pass
Philosophy is a very complex course to take. You would have to be very interested to keep up. Prof Wallman made that easy. His lectures are great and he makes them relate to the real world. For such a hard subject, I honestly think he's the best prof you can get. Come to class, you wouldn't want to miss a lecture. PAY ATTENTION, READ, AND STUDY.
EXCELLENT Professor!! He teaches his lectures step by step with the chapters. He breaks down the material in Ethics & Critical Thinking in easy ways. He's extremely nice, he cares for his students, and his discussion posts have clear instructions from the book on how to do every essay. I got an A in his class and he made learning extremely easy!
Hes hilarious and class is easy. This class is fun but it will leave you with more questions than answers, if you have existential Crisis often this is the class for you.
Hes hilarious and has a good way of explaining things. Crazy stories for examples. Will call you out in class for texting or talking. Doesnt have a lot of assignments. Read everything and your fine. His quizzes and exams are open note. There are only 2 exams and the quizzes are easy. Everything is online, resources, videos, all of it.
Easy going cool professor who grades on work and although attendance isnt mandatory this is a class you should go to since the lectures are well planned, interesting, and participatory. Not much work, mostly learning content and a few assignments.
He is simply just the best. He's hilarious, he provides very good explanations, he's chill, and not a lot of work. He really makes Ethics an interesting subject (even though it is) I would totally take him again.
Professor Wallman is one of my favorites! I was scared to take this class but I'm so glad I read reviews and trusted the outcome would be good! He is funny and makes lectures really easy to understand by talking about modern situations/life. I absolutely love and enjoy this class more than I thought I would, highly recommend Professor Wallman!
His lectures are actually very interesting and he's passionate about what he does. The only thing is that he only grades a couple of things and he's a tough grader. There are 2 essays in class, some test, and only a few discussion posts. No extra credit. You will use the textbook a lot. I took this as a hybrid class and I recommend it.
