Very helpful. He keeps his speech classes light with his sarcastic humor. The class itself is inherently easy, the toughest part for some is just doing a speech. His syllabus gives you plenty of time to grow accustomed to giving a speech.

He definitly made public speaking easy and comfortable. Thank Gosh I got through it.

Mr Warner is a great instructor. He is fair, very clear as to your responsibilities in the class, and he is a great lecturer (*wow, what a concept!) All in all, I enjoyed this class so much!! I would recommend it to anyone!

good prof. He's a riot. This class is beyond easy if you can speak in front of ppl. No homework, one or two tests and the rest of the time you sit there listening to ppl speak. Easy A.

This is the best class I have taken at CFCC. This is a very simple to understand class. Mr Warner goes throught the text book first then starts speeches after you have learned the proper way to give a speech. He is funny and a great teacher.

Great teacher. FUNNY!!! If you are anxious about public speaking, take his class. He will put you at ease. You get in to class, cover the material, and get out -- no wasted time. Highly recommended.

Mr. Warner is a cool guy. This class was nerve racking for me but i'm glad i took it with Warner. I'm no longer afraid of public speaking. Pay attention to the way he wants the outlines done, you can loose points on speeches. But other than that TAKE HIM! I wish i could have him for more classes.

Mr. Warner is a very good teacher. He just grades a bit too hard on the major speeches. So just make sure you give a great speech when its your turn to shine in front of the class.

Pretty good teacher. Attendance really is, if you don't go to class you will probably lose a lot of points. As long as you try hard on your speeches he will give you a good grade.

He speaks very clear, has a sense of humor, and is very organized. However, there are times when he shows no emotion in his face and its kind of hard to tell how he feels when your giving your speech.

Mr. Warner is Nifty-Awesome!! He helps you with everything and is crystal clear on all assignments. Just follow his directions exactly. HE TAKES EVERYTHING ABOUT A DIFFICULT PROCESS AND BREAKS IT DOWN SO IT'S EASY. Mr. Warner makes jokes all the time (but its hard to tell, because he's always poker-face). Take him: he's there to get you through!

Religion needs to be added to topics not allowed to do a speech on. If I wanted to take a religion class I would have. Religion belongs in the home, not the classroom. This is not a private religious school. I almost did a speech on atheism but knew my religious teacher had to grade me. Good class other then all the religion.

Mr. Warner makes a terrible, terrible class totally manageable. He assigns minor speeches in the beginning, to get you used to talking to the class, and then the major speeches aren't so bad. He's knows how tough public speaking is, and is really sensitive and awesome at helping everyone through. Just make sure you come to class ON TIME! :)

Good class to take. He is very funny and clear on all of his assignments. He is picky on the way he grades the speeches but overall a really easy course. Makes everyone feel comfortable about getting up in front of the class by telling all of his embarrassing stories.

He is a great teacher I rook him for a minimester and got an A. Show up on time every day, watch your time requirements on your major speeches and you'll do fine. Overall very helpfull if you ask for it. I would take him again.

Warner's speech class is not about giving a good speech, it's about following his methods. While I still made an A, I was deeply displeased that it was all about delivering a speech the way HE wanted it, instead of just an awesome speech. Deductions during speeches seemed a bit much to me, but overall an easy course if you show up.

If you were like me and absolutely dreaded taking this class,TAKE THIS TEACHER! (and Valium... j/k) Professor Warner made it an easy class and knows how to take a tough subject for most people and make it very easy.

I enjoyed his class. He is entertaining and laidback. If you do all speeches and practice you will be fine. You cannot expect to take a verbal class without a little work. Follow his clearly laid-out guidelines and you will breeze through this class and feel better speaking!

Very, funny, laid back guy! This class is so easy to do well in, as long as you pay attention when he goes over the speech outlines and practice at least a little. I did the outlines the night before and practiced the morning of, and still got an A. There's no reason anyone couldn't get at least a B. Extra credit for perfect attendance!

I Was Really Freaked Out About Taking A Speech Class. I'm Only 4 Weeks Into The Semester, And I'm Convinced I Have The Best Speech Professor At Cf. He's Really Easy To Follow, Specific; But If You Follow His Rules, You'll Get An A Or A B.

Great professor. He has a good sense of humor and super quick to respond to any emails. Practice your speeches he knows if you practiced or not. Don't say "like" and "um" in your speeches and just follow his guidelines and you will gen an A. Also extra credit for perfect attendance.

Tough grader. The class was easy and teacher was not.

Professor Warner, was great. He had you do little speeches about things you were use to so it made it easier for the major speeches. Outlines were easy to do. Would recommend this teacher to anyone who is afraid to speak in public.

Mr. Warner was fantastic to work with. He was an interesting character himself. One of the most respected teachers at CF. I appreciated his class for the sarcasm, the bond I created with my classmates through the speeches, and listening to him speak. He was a true role model in terms of learning how to communicate with others.

I was dreading this class because I don't like to speak in public, but it wasn't that bad. He tells you what he wants so all you have to do is do it.

Easy enough. Follow his guidelines and practice your speeches. If you have perfect attendance then you get 25 extra points added to your grade. Yeah it sucks to get up and speak in front of people but everyone has to do it so you might as well grin and bear it. Do what he asks and improve upon yourself. It's an easy A with a little practice.

Professor Warner is the ultimate in professionalism as an educator. Very helpful with questions and problems. He keeps you abreast of time constraints. He keep you moving fluidly through the course. I would highly recommend Professor Warner to anyone who takes SPC2608 course.

Almost had a panic attack about this class the night before, but once I got there I was immediately relieved. Mr. Warner is a fantastic professor and made the class actually enjoyable. He is very serious about his outlines, but if you follow his instructions you won't have a problem and you'll pass the class.

show up and practice, practice, practice. you will learn how to give an effective speech. which is the point of the class. he eases you into it by mini speeches which really helps get the nerves out. glad i took it. and he will answer any questions you have and help you as much as you need it and ask for it.

Mr. Warner was my favorite teacher. I took him last spring and his class was the way every class should be. He is extremely clear on what he wants and it is up to you to earn your grade. He is straight to the point and doesn't require you to do any unnecessary work. Great teacher!

He's a wonderful professor, and is my favorite professor after experiencing 11 different professors. The class has no real homework outside of preparing and practicing your speeches. With a modest effort in the class, improvement will come. The only knock I have on the class is the grading will put most of the speeches at B or lower.

Best professor I've had at CF. Funny, to the point, clear on what he wants. He tells you exactly how to do everything and is very fair if you put in the work. Makes public speaking bearable. He wants things done a certain way, but teaches you exactly how he wants it. I wish he could teach every class I've taken. Very inspirational and down to earth

I took this class this past summer with professor Warner and he made this class much less terrifying than I thought it would be. He has a solid grading system and gives excellent feedback on your major speeches. The man knows his stuff!

If you are dreading taking this class take this professor! He helps so much and will use his old stories to help you become confident.

He does grade your attendance, so be there. It is a very straightforward course and Mr. Warner tells you exactly what he expects from his students. It has actually helped me be able to do more public speaking this past semester. I had a positive experience.

Great teacher, easy class if you do all the assignments due to him being a tough grader on speeches.

His grading is subjective so its hard to say if hes really fair. I felt that I deserved an A but got a B even though I worked really hard and delivered great speeches. I enjoyed his class though. I would only take him again to figure out how to raise my grade. If you play on your phone he takes points off of future speeches.

Unique. Definitely a unique individual. He is who he says he is, and I could ask for nothing more. A fair and straightforward instructor and grader. I genuinely believe that if you take this class, and actually try to write and speak... You will pass.

I was terrified of public speaking at the start of the semester. Prof Warner completely changed that. He is one of the best teachers I have ever had the chance to have, and really did change my life, I no longer have a fear of public speaking. I even got an A in the class, which I didn't think i could do. PLEASE take him if you need this credit.

I really enjoyed his class. You attend every lecture and get 25 pts at the end which helps. Drops the lowest speech. What I didn't like is how if your first for the minor speeches then your first for the major speeches. I don't think that's fair. He should go the other way or at least make you pick for a hat or something to make it more fair.

prof warner is great. He loves to help you feel more comfotable about speeking. you have only a few assignments so dont miss any of the homework our minor speeches you wont pass, he drops your lowest major speech grade so thats good.

Public speaking is very difficult for me and Prof Warner made it easy. The steps needed to give a good speech were given and if you follow that then you'll do good in the class. The Prof doesn't want you to do bad, he'll meet outside of class to give pointers. If you're not a fan of public speaking then you should take this class, very eye opening.

If you have a fear of public speaking, take this class. He really does put your mind in a different perspective in order to make you feel more comfortable with speaking. He is a tough grader on major speeches but thats mainly because he wants you to do your best and knows you can. Very prompt when it comes to answering messages. Awesome guy!

Mr. Warner. is very straightforward and keeps things simple, which makes the class less stressful. His organization of the class is very good in my opinion, to the point where a lot of the time we were not in there for the full class period, which was nice. Overall, he was a great professor and I definitely recommend that you take him.

I believe Warner's teaching to be very effective. He is supportive though necessarily strict to students . When explaining how something should be done or could be better, he does so clearly. He is capable of answering all questions. He is a fair grader without being biased. I believe he was very respectful. He made it into my top three professors.

I would take a toastmaster class with this professor if I could (for my future career and many more weddings of course!). He helped me completely get out of my comfort zone. I never have a gut to speak in front of strangers, now I feel more confident. Thank you Professor Warner!!

This was the easiest class I took in College. I had 7 assignments (3 of them only took about 2 minutes each and the other 4 were easy speeches.)The teacher was amazing, very responsive, and graded easy and fast. My favorite class and teacher. No final or quizzes (my friend was in a different speech class and had a 50 question final and quizzes)

Professor Warner was great! I thought I would hate this class but I actually enjoyed it. This class consists of some lectures, 8 minor speeches (participation grade), 5 major speeches (drops the lowest), and 5 homework assignment (very easy). He also gives extra credit to perfect attendance. If you follow his outline guideline, you will do great.

This was one of my favorite classes I took in the fall of 2022. The assignments consisted of 5 homework assignments, 8 minor speeches, and 5 major speeches. Prof. Warner drops one major speech at the end of the semester. When the major speeches begin, he locks the door so the speaker will not be interrupted. Just make sure you are early.

Professor Warner is the best teacher I have had at college. He truly cares about the success of his students, and is always available to assistance. His lectures are both entertaining and informative. Students who follow his advice, and suggestions will benefit from this class.

Prof Warner is very clear and concise about what he expects. There are 3 main graded speeches and other prep work. I thoroughly enjoyed his class, and if you abide by what he asks, you are guaranteed an A.
