Hybrid section. Extremely helpful with the online homework and offers extra exam review sessions. In addition, the exam reviews she constructs ACTUALLY help. Really knows what she's doing and cares about the students. Homework is based off of wileyplus and you can try multiple times until you get the right answer. One of the best on campus.

Professor Thompson was one of the best professors I've ever had. Come to class and actually pay attention during the lectures. If you do the homework, learn smarts and you practice the problems, you should get and A. There are only two exams (midterm and final). I actually enjoyed managerial accounting because of her.

She's a great teacher! She's not very strict because she really wants you to learn and she's always there if you need help. She doesn't take attendance and she puts all the powerpoints and in class worksheets online. Only three test but she posts study guides. Homework is all online but if you miss the deadline tell her and she can open it back up.

Many even changed their majors cuz of accounting's difficulty but Professor Erica made accounting as easy for us as kissing your girlfriend. She provides great PowerPoint slides and lectures very well. Before every test she reviews the materials which really help

I just started Accounting 212 under her this semester. She indeed is the best accounting professor at NVCC. Giving her a 5 is an understatement. Lectures and exercises are on point. Because of her, I am potentially switching my major to Accounting. She is the light that will spark your interest in accounting. Probably the best prof I had at Nova.

Take her, she's nice. Super smart. Lectures using HW questions, so you just go home and fill in the answers. HW has no due date. FYI if you want a passing grade, just do the class examples. If you want a high grade, I would recommend reading full chapters bc she only teaches info she feels you will be tested on. But, extra info also helps.

First off, she's a babe. Had trouble concentrating at times bc of this. She is very clear and a great teacher. She has office hours and responds very well to emails. 4 tests throughout the semester which were multiple choice and not that hard. I felt like I did worse on all of them than I did . Be sure to do hw - helps prepare you for tests!

I honestly didn't get much of her explanations but I showed up every class and she reviews half of the hw probs with the class, and thats the way I learn so it helped a lot. Very flexible with hw, test are not hard at all because she will prepare us really well. Very on point with reminders as well. Not a bad class to balance school and work.

She really walks you through the problem because she is there to show what the question is asking for. She is excellent and wonderful person. It ain't easy in the beginning, but it will get easier as you see where you get the mistakes from.

TAKE HER! She explains the material so well and does review days before the test. She gives out a sheet where you can follow along with the examples which also make good review questions if you decide not to come to the review days. She really does care how the class is doing. This professor is one of my personal favorites. She is available after class and before. You need help on h.w. she will personally help you. Take her because she made ACC211 easy for me to understand. Also h.w. isn't due until the end of the semester but recommends you don't leave it till the last day

Professor Thompson was one of the best professors on campus for accounting! She gave some of the best lectures, tests were easy due to her study guides, and she was much help outside of class too!

Professor Thompson is seriously amazing. Always makes herself available both before and after class to help you with any questions you may have regarding the course or homework, and will even offer advising both academically and career-wise. She previously worked for a "Big Four" firm and can offer real guidance into career possibilities. The best!

Relatively easy class for a subject like ACC. multiple choice exams, weekly homework (which she goes over in class with you during the lecture), and a few extra credits at the end.

I would recommend this class to anybody! She's very nice, helpful, and very motivated! I took her class in accounting 1 and 2, and got A's. She made the class very easy, and she explains thing clearly. But take note accounting class is not an easy class even though she's a good professor, you still have to put some effort to pass the class.

Professor Thompson's requirements are clear from the syllabus. There is homework every week through McGraw Hill Connect which is relatively easy and understandable given the complex subject of Audits. The professor provides the tools for students to be successful. It's not an easy A, but the tools are there to get that grade if you work at it.

Prelectures and homework might be a bit tedious, but listen to the lectures and she helps out with it. She's easy to understand, makes sure she knows what she's talking about, and is on time. A GEM!!! If I say so myself. Oh, the projects might be a little hard, but read the slides and it'll help. Also, there's 4 quizzes. Easy peasy, dont be lazy.

You'll have to purchase WileyPlus to do the hws, prelectures and quizzes and one lengthy project. One essay (only 1-2 pgs), EVERYTHING is due on the last week of class (but recommended to do each hw assignment, quiz and prelature work each week) A group project that's announced on the first day of class that's due on the last day of class. Easy A.

Prof Thompson is amazing. Hard to find people like her who actually cares about her students rather than not caring. Wiley Plus textbook is required. BUY the 2-section book for ACC 212. 12 units, 13 quizzes total, hw, prelectures, a group project and a lengthy project completed independently. She even goes over questions very similar to the hw!

The down side was we used Wiley and it would take me an hour to two hours to finish up a chapter with pre-lecture and homework I took a very long time.

This professor will not disappoint. Homework is easy and based off classwork. Exams are open book. As long as you have a worksheet from class you will easily pass exams. Class ends earlier than expected. Shares opportunities happening in the accounting field (real world).

Decent professor. I was so busy in Spring 2025 that it got in the way of college and the workload she had was way too much for me. I scraped by with a C. In the beginning it wasn't so bad, very good at explaining the need to know.

It's a lot of homework, but it's so easy. Lectures are good, expectations manageable. Just dont fall behind in chapter work, go to the classes, and you'll be fine. She also makes it very easy to understand ideas that can be hard if you haven't got a background or experience with accounting.
