you get what you put in and begin to develop your own ideas and opinions about the world. He is very understanding and not biased at all. He gives you study guides for the final, mid-term, and quizes. and the quizes are open note. it was pretty easy and i got a lot outta it.He is very articulate and clear about schedules and everything.

He was clear about class routine and grading. Assignments were routine and fair. Lots of essays on midterm and final. He kept class interesting and was open to all different viewpoints. Definitely cared about everyone and made an effort to get to know them. Lenient about showing up on time.

Very personable. I love how much he gave examples and anecdotes from his own life. Made Sociology very interesting.

I have taken all of the classes by this teacher. If you attend class and participate in his fun and actually interesting class discussions class flies by. If you talk to him about things that come up he will work with you and accommodate you. He definitely knows his stuff and makes it learnable by applying it to real life

Erich is one of those truly superb teachers you only get once in a while. He knows a ton about his subject and explains difficult concepts so you'll easily understand. He does grade on attendance, so show up to class! I strongly recommend that everyone take Soc 206, too. You'll learn so much just sitting there, unlike other classes.

Erich is a wonderful professor! Yes his class can be demanding but wow do you get far more than you pay for. I love how he is so passionate and wants his to be as well. VERY organized and clear. Take a class you won't regret it as it will wake you up the world outside of college! I feel lucky to have encountered him.

By far the greatest professor out there, can't wait to take more of his classes. He isn't a very tough grader, and he doesn't just lecture at you. He teaches by the textbook and through class discussions (also has the greatest stories). Attendance is important, but overall LOVED IT!

Pfeifer's class was fun to take because he focused more on learning than homework and textbook reading. His class had an easy to get the hang of rhythm with study guides for tests, reading and vocabulary memorization for homework, and a 3 question weekly quiz. The class time focused on discussions with less direct lecturing. It was very intriguing!

Eric is a super amazing teacher! I have taken all of his classes as electives because they are just too amazing. His personality is am A++. I mean, super laid back and friendly. His classes are really easy as well.

This is my third class with Pfeifer. Each time, I appreciate him more and more. He is a real person, and makes the class easy to relate to by providing real world examples. I appreciate him as a person, coach, and SOC teacher.

He gives personal examples to relate to the text of that everyone can better understand the subject. He taught me to think for myself and not let others lecture who I am as a student.

Each week there is a vocal quiz over the reading which can be rather tough, but just study the terms, and after the quiz he will go over them in his terms so you understand better. Loved this class! I didn't like sociology, but he got me to like it! I HIGHLY recommend taking classes from him! He is respectful and I love his approach to teaching. He understands his students and is in no way boring! I would take any of his classes.

This cat's the realest teacher on campus, he grades super hard though, but thats because the homework is absolute cake! Probably going to continue his study as a minor. "Take what you need, leave what you don't." Expect to hear this.

He highly encourages participation, is known for calling on you because he wants to hear what you have to say (you can pass). Very patient, extremely knowledgable. Consistant. No difficulty in this class at all.

Erich is an amazing teacher who explains scenarios in everyday life where you will use the stuff he teaches. He tries to help you as much as he can. He is funny and can get off topic every now and then but majority of the times stays on topic. You have 1 quiz every week on the topic you're learning and will review after the quiz to help you more.

I took Soc 206 from him because of his reviews and I am so glad I did. The material in the class was really enlightening and I feel like I took away a lot from it. He's super nice, down to earth, and gives his opinion on issues which is pretty refreshing. I would definitely take his class if you need social science credits or even as an elective

Erich's Sociology courses have shaped my view of how I see the world, and how I handle situations involving other people. He is very real in his lessons. I loved having the ability to talk about controversial topics openly, without judgement and having it be a discussion. He is clear in his expectations, and tells great life stories.

Erich Pfeifer is an awesome teacher, he really wants his students to pass with flying colors. He always tells us to take it day by day, there is a 11 weeks in a term and to just focus on today. He is strict with using cell phones in the classroom. He will either be nice and tell you to put it away or he can take 10% off your midterm or final.

Probably my favorite professor at CCC. Erich is super articulate and is great at explaining sociology. The class always has great discussions and his grading structure makes this class easy if you read the chapters fairly thoroughly each week.

Eric is so chill and real. He always wants to tell the truth to his students about his past and current situations, and tries so hard to inspire people to do well. A wonderful teacher, and he grades more than fairly. Pretty easy course to pass!

He cares about the problems in the world and will make you care too. Only advice I can give you is DONT be late and DONT miss class! Besides that its easy and fun!

Erich is a straight-up guy when it comes to teaching/grading, but brings so much experience and personality to the classroom. I really connected with him and was intrigued by our class discussions every single day. Everyone should take this class! Culture, gender, politics, race, criminology... this class has it all.

Erich was one of my favorite teachers at CCC. He likes sports, is really funny and loves his wife. He comes from a background of real life experience where things weren't always easy for him and still came out on top. I learned a lot of different theories in his class. He can always give real life examples of what he is teaching. Vocab test weekly.

Almost impossible to ace a quiz.

I took 204 during fall term and enjoyed it so much it inspired me to take 206 during winter term. There is little communication from him since this is an online course which may be a barrier for some. However, his feedback on assignments are all very detailed. It's obvious he pays attention to what we voice!

Amazing professor, very passionate about what he's teaching. Low to normal work load. Class focused on lectures rather than the assignments. I am always a straight A student and it was a struggle to earn an A on summaries but overall a good professor and I still got an A. Great class to pair with harder classes. I took Chemistry with this class.

I loved taking Pfeifer's SOC 206 in person this fall. Learning about social change was made easy because the professor was very clear and direct about everything we've learned. He's cool and the classwork is manageable. Both classes used the same textbook. You know the rhythm of the class by the 2nd week and it's easy to keep up. There is no break during the lectures so it can be tiring.

Erich is a passionate instructor who pull in lots of real-life experience into his classes. For a hybrid class, you're reading and doing a chapter summary on your own and then discussing the material during class. It's a straightforward class, but Erich levels it up with his ability to teach and discuss sociological ideas.
