Best math teacher I've ever had, and one of the only that made math understandable for me. He provides great notes and if you get him in the summer he'll give you multiple choice exams. Dr. Sorenson is truly a God among Men!

I have always been terrible at math. I always got by with C's and D's, but thanks to Mr. Sorensen's help I got an A! Homework is given everyday, but it's easy and he'll go over any you needed help with. The tests are based on the homework questions.

Easy class. Maybe beacuse he's such a good teacher. Gives homework almost every class, but it's easy and he goes over it. Really nice guy.

Hey is the best teacher at RU. Is not out to get you wants every student to do well and teaches instead of just getting up in front of you and talking out of his ass. I loved him as a teacher and i highly recommend him.

His class is very very easy whether you've had a history in calc or not! He's willing to work with you if you are having problems or just bored to death. He explains the concepts clearly and detailed... applies to business practices.

Really AWESOME teacher. Helps you if you don't understand. Gives lots of examples, and makes calc fun!! Take him if you get the chance. :)

This class is super easy if you attend. Mr. Sorenson is very helpful and will do whatever he can to get you through the class. The tests are not hard, but the final is cumulative. You get to study from your tests, though.

He was one of the best math teachers I'd ever had. He wants to help you, not fail you. I hate math and I am not good at it, but I got a high B in his class. He explains the material very clearly. His tests aren't too bad either

Sorenson Is A Great Algebra Professor. He Assigns Homework But Goes Over All The Problems You Need Help With, Teaches The Course To Where People Who Don't Even Understand Math Will Understand. I Really Recommend Him. I Might Be Bias Because I Love Math But Still, I Think He Is A Great Teacher.

Wonderful teacher. Makes sure that you understand what you are doing. Tests are easy if you do your homework and study those problems. Extremely nice guy. Really cool too. Everyone should definately take him!!

Take it with him if you can! Test come straight from the hw. He's goes over everything and hardly collects the hw. Def an easy A for me!You have some webwork quizzes but if you don't undestand something he will go over it in class. Very easy class!

I've taken Mr. Sorenson 2 semesters in a row and he is the best! He's helpful,always in his office, and you can even call him up just to chat. His exams are not difficult and his final is just a combo of all the exams. Go to class because he gives points for attendance,but it's not hard to get an A.

I HATE MATH and have an A in his class. He is an awesome professor, VERRRYYY clear about the topics. Me and a friend in his class laugh about how he teaches like we are in kindergarten.. He goes over everything 10 times.. I HIGHLY recommend him!! I want him for EVERY math class I have to take here!

If anyone doesn't like math, take Mr. Sorensen! He is a great teacher who takes everything slowly and makes sure all his students understand before he moves on. He lets you know what is on test and gives a lot of chances to get a good grade! He's really nice too!

This guy is amazing, I thought I was just stupid when it came to math, but then i realized i have never had a good amth teacher. Very clear, will go over problems untill the whole class gets it, and loves for students to ask questions. He is also very flexible with exam conflicts. Great teacher!

Mr. Sorenson has the best approach to teaching math that i have ever seen. His methods of explaining new material should be used by all math teachers. No matter how bad you are at math after his class you will have confidence and no fear of math. Take a math class he is teaching you wont regret it.

If you pay attention in class it will be an easy A because he explains things until he is sure the class understands. If you start to slack off it is hard to catch up for the exam. A portion of the grade is attendance. Daily Homework.

Ive had sorensen for 2 math classes now and he is the best...he is clear and gives great notes and if u dont understand sumtin hes willing to help..u need to come to class but 2 or 3 absences r ok he goes over all the homework b4 u hav to turn it in take him hes the best

One of my favorite teachers at RU. I hate math, but his class makes it very easy to understand and enjoyable. I never thought I would say I enjoy going to a math class but he just makes it fun and easy! Highly recommended! I wish he taught more upperlevel math classes because I would take him again in a heartbeat.

I'm currently in his class. Great professor. Clear notes. He describes everything for the notes and goes over the homework at the beginning of each class. He is always more than willing to help.

Mr. Sorensen is a really cool guy. Explains everything fairly thoroughly. His tests are all scantron, multiple choice and not difficult if you attend class to learn the material.

Awesome teacher! Very funny and thoroughly explains all material, although most of it is easy. He randomly collects homework that only takes about ten minutes to do, so its worth it. Reviews plenty for tests and exams. Takes attendance so go to class! If you need any help he is more than happy to assist you. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I hate math, & am horrible at it, but w/ Sorensen as my professor not only did I pass but class wasn't miserable. He goes slow, & explains things a million times. And is always willing to help you if you still don't get it. As long as you go to class, & do the little bit of nightly homework then you're set. Great professor for those who hate math.

TAKE HIM! Especially if you struggle in math. Professor Sorensen is one of the nicest professors I have ever had. He makes math easier than ever, my lowest test grade was a 93. He gives out study guides before each test, which he goes over, and the tests are basically the exact same. I actually tried to take another math with him to boost my GPA.

BEST MATH TEACHER YOU WILL EVER HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY OF TAKING. Mr.E is absolutely amazing, he is extremely helpful, understanding, and he is always in a great mood! His homework is EASY! Helpful, understanding and clear. If more teachers were like this, grasping material would be a breeze. He made math interesting. He'd go over everything in strict detail but when the test came around he throw some curveballs in there to make you think critically. Worked for me!

I never understood math until I took this class. He was very easy to understand. Lectures and takes clear notes at the same time. Makes sure you do well on test by preparing helpful study guide. If you aren't doing well at first dont worry! his final will be crystal clear with all the review and that bad grade will disappear! :)

I'm HORRIBLE at math but he is one of the best math professors I've had. Makes everything as easy as possible, gives a ton of examples, and goes over homework assignments so you understand. He is very good about office hours and very helpful if you go! Tests are hard definitely tough.

Mr Sorenson is great! He's down to earth and always willing to help. Tests come directly from homework and class notes. As long as you do these you will pass. He makes math enjoyable and always says "Thanks for coming to class today" :) All homework comes from the back of the textbook so it's a must.

Only about 4 test total? they all come from the homework and notes. He reviews HW at beginning of each class(so if u forgot its fine). Notes are clear and detailed. Review class day before every test. No way you couldn't pass. There to help insideoutside of class. I got an A midterm and then for the final a B. I've always been terrible at math!

Easily the best professor i've ever had. Took him over maymester and received an A and i have never done that well in a math class before. You have to attend class, but he is so helpful and willing to do anything to make you understand. Tests are almost exactly like the study guide and he goes over the answers to the study guide before the test.

This is a great class to take! Professor Sorenson was really understanding when I got very sick and missed almost a whole week of classes! He drops two homework assignments and is a very easy grader. The tests are straight from the homework and his study guides make studying so easy! He loves to help you and the math is the easiest math EVER.

Professor Sorenson is a great professor! I would tell anyone to take him. His class is easy as long as you come to class. He isn't that tough of a grader either! Although there isn't many questions on exams so if you miss more than 10 you will most likely fail.

He's an amazing professor and is very clear. His tests are pretty short so you need to do good on them or you won't do good in the class, but they are pretty easy. Definitely an easy A class.

Awesome professor one of the best in Radford. Really cares about his students well being and success. Gives short homework assignments, hands out a role sheet. Tests are not hard but not easy just review the study guys and go to class and you will do fine. He drops lowest test grade too. One of my favorite professors ever stand up guy!

Awesome dude! Definitely willing to work with you on anything. HE wants to help as much as possible! Homework is really easy and the work book is cheap! Pretty easy section of math. Tests are typical math tests, you kinda have to know what you're doing but go to class and let him teach you the subject- you'll do great!

He is an amazing professor and really breaks down math problems and simplifies them for you. I'm expecting a high B low A in this class and that is much higher than I expected to get before taking the class... I'm really bad at math, but he makes it easy.

Honestly the best professor I have ever had. I tell everyone taking a math class to take Professor Sorensen. As long as you go to class you will understand the material. The textbook is mandatory but one of the few textbooks you will use everyday. His review sessions are identical to the exam. He makes the class relatable and fun. Highly reccomend!

Mr Sorensen is very understanding and willing to work with everyone. He also is very realistic and real with the class. He shows you real life stuff not just random problems. I would take him again if he taught another class I was required to take.

I could brag about Professor Sorensen all day. Math is my worst subject, but his lectures are crystal clear. He tells you exactly what you need to know for tests. No quizzes. Homework and participation make up a good part of your grade. You don't want to miss his class. It never lasts the full 50 mins either. Would definitely recommend him.

BEST PROFESSOR!!! I have dyscalculia (disability understanding math) and have never done well in a math class, but with Mr. Sorenson he explains things so well and is very helpful. I actually look forward to going to his class. GET HIM IF YOU CAN!!

he is one of those professors that genuinely cares about his students and their well being. I am no longer his student and he still stops me and asks me how things are going for me. If you did the work and the study guides, the tests were extremely easy. Explains the material very well and if help is needed, he is always available.

This class deals with practical math and by that I mean Erik makes the math relevant. He's very willing to work with you if you need help, he's always in his office hours during them and he's really just an all around great guy. Take him if you want to actually learn some math that'll help you or if you need a GPA booster.

Erik Sorenson is by far the best teacher I have EVER had. He is the kindest, most compassionate person I have ever met. He cares about how his students are doing and he is overall a wonderful person. I will miss having him as a teacher! 10/10 would recommend!! Love him!

Sorenson is the absolute best math professor on campus. I had him at 8am and I actually enjoyed waking up and going to his class. He gets back to you within minutes about whatever you need. Tests are super easy and so are the homework assignments. I would 100% take him for any math class that you have.

I cannot say enough good things about Mr. Sorensen. The class is very very easy and he makes it enjoyable. There is usually a page from the workbook for homework so you have to buy the workbook (not rent it). The homework is generally only like 6 questions, note cards are allowed on tests and there is no other work in this class.

I am HORRIBLE at math and was extremely anxious to take this class, he made it very easy to understand. I would definitely take him again and actually wish I could. Try and go to the lectures because it will help you out, but they are not necessary.

Erik is one of the best professors I've ever had. He's super funny, cares about his students, and teaches the material in the easiest way possible. There is homework every night but generally it's only 1 or 2 questions. It's really not mandatory because he puts the answers on the board before class and doesn't generally collect it. Awesome guy!!!

I suck at math so I took this course to cover a basic math credit. Professor Sorensen actually made learning math fun and super relatable. He is always very positive and just tends to put you in a cheerful mood, even in a math class. Very caring towards his students and confident in the subject he is teaching.

Best math teacher to ever take. I've always hated math and always received a C on everything. This is the first math class I have ever taken and have received A's on everything. Take him for Math 114 that is usually what he teaches!!!! Just pay attention and you will get an A! 3 tests, 1 final, Attendance is 5%, Homework is 10%. He is amazing!

Best math teacher ever! Kind of old school so he doesn't use D2L to post grades, you just have to show up to see what you got. I had this class at 8am, so I skipped a few classes but he was nice and always ahd extra copies of what was missed.

He is so caring and loves his job. His class was easy if you tried. He forms relationships with his students and to this day when I see him we communicate. He is a positive and happy person to be around. Radford is lucky to have him!!! I would love to take his class again.

If I were you I'd choose this instructor he really cares about his students and wants them to pass. His homework and tests are easy although tests are each worth 20% of your grade. Just do your homework, use the lectures, and notes he provides online and you will pass this class.

The best math teacher I've ever had! Professor Sorensen is one of nicest people I have ever met and he truly wants his students to pass. He answers student's emails very quick and is very kind. He provides notes and even videos of him working through each problem. Extremely hard to fail this class.

Mr. Sorensen is exceptionally friendly and kind. He sincerely wants to help students learn the material and earn good grades. He was very laid back about attendance and even canceled class on numerous occasions. Lecture was minimal; class meetings were mainly help sessions. This is a fairly easy class with a super nice teacher.

Professor Sorensens class is super easy. He has short videos every week for the modules which are super easy to follow and he explains everything very well. Quizzes are pretty easy, tests are also easy, he gives a practice test every test and if you do that youll be good to go.

Even if you are very bad at math her makes it very easy. If I could take him for every math class I would. Is very good at explaining and giving out extra credit. Very nice and bubbly person.

Explains everything in a perfectly simple way that makes sense. Open note online tests, take your time and you're guaranteed to do well. He's also hilarious and responds to emails very quickly if you need help.

Only reason I passed a math class, he will email you back so quickly for any kind of question and is extreamly helpful with anyone you need, attendance isn't required and he's very clear and open about assignments and grades

Dr. Sorenson is the best math professor I have ever had. I am not a math person but he makes it fun! I highly recommend taking him because he truly cares about the success of his students. You do not need to come to class and exams are open note, book, and internet. He makes learning fun and easy. He is the best math teacher and a great person.

He gives the option to do the class in person or online. The assignments aren't hard and they're all online, you're allowed to use notes. If you have issues with homework then you can email him about your issue and he will work it out for you and help you. Makes math very easy to learn

His class was super easy. He gives the option to do class via in-person, zoom, or online. The tests and quizzes are open notes. Also, if you don't feel well, you can opt out of a test. However, the final exam counts towards that missing test grade. He also responds to emails very fast. If you have a chance to take his class, take it!!

Amazing teacher, Attendance isnt mandatory and everything is open note. I highly recommend this teacher.

He is very helpful. Attendance wasn't mandatory. When assigning quizzes, you could email he and he would respond in a timely manner, to help you with said problem.

Professor Sorensen is the sweetest person ever! I definitely recommend taking his class. Attending class is optional, you can join through Zoom and he posts all of the notes online. He hands out printed notes in class. The tests are OPEN NOTES!!. Homework is online and you get unlimited attempts to get the correct answer!

He is one of the best teachers I have ever had. His tests are super easy and they are open notes, along with homework too. If you miss a test, then it does not matter because he replaces it with another test grade, and he drops a lot of your lowest grades so you make good grades. Awesome teacher and I would def take again!!

I took Math100 through zoom, which was really amazing. You also don't have to even go to the zooms, just read the notes which he has posted and do the quizzes on time. Quizzes are unlimited attempts. Very easy.

Professor Sorensen is an amazing professor and honestly one of the best in the math department. I would gladly take any math class he is teaching. He allows you to attend his class in-person, zoom, or not attend at all and treat the class like a distant learning course.
