As someone who has always hated math, Erika's class was wonderful. She explains everything clearly and is ALWAYS willing to help if you don't understand, in class or out. She's a fair grader and offers decent extra credit. Homework is online, you get 3 tries per question and can turn it in late for a small deduction. Uses lots of technology.

Good teacher. She is willing to help you and to reward your efforts. Practice and practice is a must if you want to succeed in this class.

I have Erika for both Math D and Math 12, she is very helpful, clear, and concise. Uses helpful program coursecompass for homework. reviews before each exam, offers study groups, offers ample extra credit, enjoys getting to know each student. the negative reviews are ridiculous, if you think her class is unfair you won't get far in life.

This teacher is very aware of the all the dimensions of teaching - instead of nonstop lecture, she often takes breaks to keep us focused throughout the class. She also asks the students what they think would help them learn better, which is rather wonderful since people learn differently. One drawback is that the homework can be tedious.

Good professor, has a clear understanding of the topic and provides useful help. Notes are easy to take because she writes out the problems completely on board and moves through the class at a good pace. Use of i-clickers also make the class more interesting.

Was a really helpful class, i have had math teachers before who knew just about everything about math, but were unable to explain things which made things really difficult. She incorporates the iclickers into the class lectures to help keep paying attention and following the new material. Overall was a good class that i learned alot.

Erika is an great teacher who truely cares about her students.She was able to help me before and after classes and didn't mind that I needed to go over a certain question multiple times.Math has never come easily to me and she was able to help me overcome and pass this very hard class.I would recommend Erika to anyone who takes any math class.

It had been years since I took a math class...yikes!But Erika was really clear and her lectures were excellent, Course Compass homework can be frustrating, but overall the examples on the program nicely re-enforce her teaching style, she gives lots of extra credit oppotunities... great teacher!

I thought the professor was very thoughtful of her students, was mandatory to perform class participation using an I-clicker in which helped maintain attention and a new learning process. Was considerate about showing up late and having extra credit for tests along with docking 1% from late hw. Learned a lot and was a fun class.

All in all this class went really well. I all ready think math is fairly easy and Erika made sure that it didnt get any harder. She always helped those who needed it and explains and coniders what you have to say/ask. Good teacher, tries to make things fun. I have no measurable complaints.

Mrs. Noffsinger was so helpful in re-teaching me algebra. I had taken it in high school and had a dreadful experience, thus leading me to hate math with a passion. She helped me actually understand what I was learning. Mrs. Noffsinger is very easy going, approachable, patient, and an overall kind person and I would recommend her to anyone.

Professor Noffsinger is my favorite math teacher. She is helpful, interesting, explains things well and is fair.

Erika is patient and willing to give extra time for some assignments. She will explain problems until you understand. Very helpful, I didn't understand algebra in high school, and now I know what I'm doing!

This teacher is clear and gives very good examples of the problems. When taking this class there was the least amount of dropped students as any other math class I have taken. That has to say something about herteaching

The thing I enjoyed most about the class was the number of examples we went over on each subject. This was a little monotonous when we reviewed at the beginning of the semester, but later on, when we got into new concepts, it was invaluable.

Erika is great at explaining things in ways in which many people can understand. She was very helpful this semester with tutoring as well as working with my personal needs on the side. I highly recommend her if you like straight forward style.

Very easy to follow along in her lectures, made me realize that I don't have to be bad at math. If you follow along and keep up with the homework you will do fine.

Easy homework grading, easy test grading, all you have to do is do most of the on paper homework and study for the tests.

I am not a math expert by any means but I feel Professor Noffsinger was so helpful and encouraging. I would recomend her for students who are great at math and who struggle. She is very understanding and helpful.

I actually really like Noffsinger and her teaching style. Her grading is very fair. I study hard, and do all my homework, leading to my 97% in the class. As long as you stay on top of everything, it will be hard to get a B. Her classes can be a tad boring at times, but everything else is great. Definitely recommend, especially if you dislike math!

Erika is a great teacher, she's laid-back and easy going but still makes sure that the students who show up and take an interest learn the material they need to succeed and be well prepared to higher level math classes. I've tried many other professors and have to say she is the best at NCC. Don't hesitate to sign up for one of her classes.

I felt like I was able to ask her questions about the problems that I was struggling with, and she would take the extra time that was needed to help her students to better understand the problems. Great review class for me. The online portion was easy to use. Everything was explained in class though sometimes a little bit confusing to understnad.

Noffsinger is a good teacher, and she is extremely nice, but she's not the most detailed. I'd doing trig next semester, and i'm nervous on whether I learned what I needed. However, her class is very easy as long as you work hard. I have just about a 98% now, so she is very fair. Not the greatest, but if you want to pass a math class go with her! :)

She is a good teacher. You will learn for sure. Show up to class and study for exams...IT WILL HELP! She is easy and willing to work with her students. Overall the class was pretty enjoyable!

Thorough lesson intruction

Erika is a very understanding professor who will give you extra time to do your homework. Just remember to KEEP UP on it or you will be stuck behind. Erika is fair and her tests are short and to the point.

Erika is a great teacher, she moves at a nice pace and has no problem answering questions as needed. My only advice for this class is to show up and ask for help when needed, otherwise you should do fine. She also offers an abundant amount of extra credit, which can dramatically increase your grades. Office hours are always available as well.

I love how she helps so much on tests but I don't like how disorganized her notes are. Sometimes she is hard to follow and my notes didn't help me very much on mymathlab. Other than that she is very direct with what is oing to be on a test and fairly available outside of class.

She was really clear on the materials she was teaching and if you needed help she would do her best to get you to understand it. I would recomend her to any of my friends because she was very helpful and after not being in a math class for almost 3 years I came back and this class was a breeze mostly because of all of her help.

She has all the infor and is very helpful. If you are not a fan of math you might have trouble staying awake. She tries to get the class involved by asking question but few want to answer them especially when they are the ones everyone knows. Ex: what is -6 +3?

Really nice teacher who means well but doesn't always teach what is needed. Does work wrong on board and gets class confused. Very willing to help but teaching style only fair for a difficult subject. On-line book that didn't help much either. Really sweet person but she needs to work on teaching skills.

Homework is online which is nice. She's very lenient, nice and helpful, but a little awkward though. Very easy class! Just do you're freaking work on time, it's not that hard!

Erika was a very sweet and easy teacher. If you did not understand something she will work with you until you do. The class was 3 hours long, but she always let us out early or she would show us funny youtube videos. I absolutely hate math, but she made it very easy to understand. I wish I could take her for all of my math classes.

If it wasn't for her I really don't believe I would have passed these difficult classes. Words can't say enough of how grateful I am to have her in my life. She knows her material well, and does not make you feel dumb if you don't understand. I am forever grateful for her.

Really nice lady, calculus class lectures can be confusing at times. But the test are pretty easy. She's there to help if you have any questions.

Erika is an amazing teacher. She cares very much about her students and there understanding of what she is teaching and is willing to take her time until the whole class gets things. Prof. Noffsinger is a very nice teacher, but her teaching isn't necessarily as clear as it could be. She assigns a lot of homework in addition to MathLab, which you will be expected to complete on your own, without a teacher available. Her tests are both easy and tricky at times, but she's there for her students if they need her.

Really kind teacher. She really wants you to succeed. Willing to work with you outside of class and responds to your emails. I would suggest her if you are anxious and want to really learn. I would love to take other Math classes of hers. Truly one of the best teachers I have had. Gave me hope and courage to succeed in math.

I really like this professor. I am currently taking her class and currently have a C but that is due to me missing several classes. She is extremely nice and helpful and does not mind repeating herself or clarifying things. There is a good amount of homework but this is math so what else would you expect. I would take her again.

Erika Noffsinger is pleasant, easy going and makes math seem not so scary. if you need help, she is eager. if you do the work, you cant help but do well. She will take how ever much time you need to get the information. She lets you know individually how well you are doing. I only wish i could have her for my next math class!
