I think she is a great professor. Her class is one of my more interesting ones this semester, and her discussion technique is very simplistic. She also is very helpful in terms of essay and paper structure.

Augis has a nice, girly personality which is absolutely charming. She gives a lot of reading for homework, but not much else. She explains things very well in class, and is extremely friendly. Its an easy class as long as you keep up.

A terrific professor and a great lady. Smart, Smart, Smart. This one has looks and brains and personality. All around a terrific class, interesting reading, trips to restaurants, etc. She really adds a lot to this college. A real keeper!!!! Ramapo is lucky to have her! I would HIGHLY recommend

She is aching for a chili so i had to give her one. Dont expect this class to be easy, but nevertheless its very interesting. This beautiful young lady, assigns plenty of HW and assignments, but in the end u come out of the class educated. Go ahead and take her for a class.

expects a little too much for a intro course but a good teacher anyway. helpful and cares about students learning.. very knowledgable about subject. a little bit feminist which can get on your nerves after awhile but if you put that aside its a good class if you're willing to put in some time

She's not bad but she expects ALOT for an intro class. Assigns a lot of reading and expects everyone to participate a lot in discussions which can get pretty boring. Overall not too bad-I did learn a lot from her.

I had her for Intro. to Sociology, liked her so much, i took her again to fulfill a gened. Good teacher!

The first class I took with her I dropped immediately b/c I thought she was too hard. I ended up having to take her again after crying about it. She turned out to be a great professor. She's really hard and does expect a lot from you b/c you're in college. She's very bright and helpful and gave quizzes at the beginning of every class. If you're there to actually learn, try Erin!

Seemed really tough at first; tons of readings - you do learn a lot if you stick through all of the work. Hard but VERY helpful and flexible.

A lot of reading and tells you flat out that her class won't be easy. If you stick with it you will learn and be glad you did. Once in the class she isn't as tough as seem makes it seem on the first day of class. Very flexible and willing to help you ouy whenever possible. Take her.

I wish I had taken this class earlier in my college career because I would have changed my major to sociology. At first, it seems like there is a lot of work, but don't let that fool you. This class will truly enlighten you and Augis is extremely helpful. There is a lot of reading, but it is very beneficial. I highly recommend.

Capstone class is tough, face it, its your last class. A LOT of reading. She is a great but tough teacher, she knows what she wants and expects you to leave doing your best.

I took this class just for credits and am SO happy I did. Its a lot of work but she's such a great professor. Just do the readings (there are a lot) and the assignments how she wants and you'll get a good grade. I think she's a great prof. and recommend taking her.

Prof. Augis is an amazing professor! Yes, she is tough but you will learn so much in her class! She is very intelligent and at the same time hilarious and down to earth! She's an inspiring woman and I truly look up to her!

I took her class as an elective. She expects a lot of work from you, but is extremely helpful and genuinely wants you to get a good grade. I found her to be really courteous, funny, and overall enjoyable to learn from. Do not blow off the work, and don't take her if you arent willing to read/write/try

She is very helpful. The map tests were hard, but we were able to retake them. There were quizzes on many of the readings, but if you do the readings the quizzes are easy. I'd recommend her.

She almost scared me into dropping the course after going through her syllabus. Very glad I didn't. She gets a bad rep for being strict, but really just wants her students to do their best. Do not take if you don't feel like reading or writing or doing real work. But if you are okay with following some stricter guidelines, def recommend her. Got A-

She's not that bad. The readings are absolutely necessary if you want to pass. And she will hold you to grammatical errors in papers. A couple times she responds abruptly to student's comments. Is very strict about attendance. Class was challenging but def not impossible. I thought she made the subject interesting even at 8 am.

Had her for Capstone. I understand everyone's comments on here, but I can't help but disagree. Yes she is strict, yes she demands near perfection. However if you are taking her for Capstone you should know this by then, for your final paper that represents your undergraduate work. do it right. Anyone that has a problem in her class is just lazy

Professor Augis is probably the best professor I've had. She holds high standards but outlines exactly what she wants you to do on the syllabus. I say take her, but make sure you go to class and do the readings and assignments on time.

She is extremely helpful and expects a lot from her students. She pushes you and expects a lot and is willing to help. Yes she is strict but she wants to help prepare make you into a better student and future worker, not just get you through the class but to be a professional.

I've had Professor Augis for two terms and she is a fantastic, wonderful professor. Yes, there is a lot of reading but if you pay attention you will learn so much. She chooses her texts with care so that students get the most out of the class, not just a worthless grade. Take her!!

Prof. Augis is one of the best professors I've had yet. She holds high standards for her students, but you absolutely learn a lot. She also likes to talk about things that can help you throughout college, and she is always there for her students to help them with papers, and more. She's really a great professor.

She will push and critique u in the most honest way but it will be worth it b/c she will prepare you for the real world, make u a smart worker & help u become more intellectual. She is passionate about her work & never accepts half ass. If you want to walk away a better & smarter person, TAKE HER. You might cry at times, but you won’t regret it.

Wonderful professor! You have to experience one of her classes to truly appreciate how great she is. No other Sociology professor at Ramapo even comes close to her quality of instruction, care for students, and the amount you will learn. Even if Sociology isn't your bag, I recommend taking Prof. Augis once while you're here. You won't regret it!

An all around amazing person. I cannot think of one bad thing to say about this woman, anyone who has said something negative about her here really needs to reevaluate their lives. Go to class & give it your all & you're guaranteed a good grade. Best teacher Ive ever had, hands down. She provides detailed directions for all papers which really help

She is very tough grader, and very strict when it comes to thesis statement, grammar & spelling. However, she is willing to help if you go to for help (appointments). Lots of readings, 6 quizzes, 6 essays, one long paper, and bunch of other assignments. Still teaches well, very funny and interesting class. Took her for Soc. of Race-relations.

Want to learn and have fun? Take her. Are you lazy, hate challenge work, looking for easy elective and high grade with little or no effort? Stay away! I never had seen any more picky grammar checker as professor Augis LOL. Thesis statement and answer = Important!!

I thought Prof Augis was wonderful. She's upbeat, passionate, and very intelligent. YES she expects a lot, but this is college! I thought the class was fairly easy & super interesting. Just READ!!! If she sees no effort on your part, she will NOT feel sorry for you.

This is definitely among the hardest classes I have ever taken. Sure, she is funny and makes class interesting but she is a tough grader and expects a lot even for college level. Disappointed! I have also noticed that in person in class she is nice but when you email her she is rather rude and assumes she explained things already "numerous" times!

The first course in my entire college career where I read every single assignment. That is because she either checks your reading notes or gives you an assignment/quiz on it. But, you do fully learn the material because of that. The class consists of many grades including 10 point assignments, final and paper. She is very nice and understanding!

Dr. Augis is one of the most caring profs I've had. I wasn't fully understanding the work, so I always sent it to her & she actually checked it and helped me. She makes things super simple & wants you to do well. As long as you do all work & put in effort, you will get a good grade. Stay on her good side! Very supportive of students!

She has become one of my favorite professors at Ramapo. With remote learning she is very patient and understanding of students. She reduced the workload for us. Class had a 60 sentence take home final and a reading assignment every week. We only met once a week. Work was very manageable. Feedback was great. Responds and works with students well!

She's an amazing teacher. Very easy all you have to do are writing argumentative paragraphs every other week on the book you take notes on. Ive taken her 2 times already and have passed both classes. Anyone who says other wise just didn't do the readings or take good notes. Easiest and nicest professor I've taken.

There were weekly assignments or quizes based on readings. Had a final research project and worked on resumes. Tough grader but understanding. A lot of work will be the final project due to the amount of research that has to be done. However if you choose an easy topic you are interested in, you should be fine.
