Great fun teacher!!!!
VERY FUNNY. Challenging multiple choice tests.
Does not teach. Class consists of her reading outline from textbook off computer screen. Tells excruciatingly painful and stupid jokes. Tests spaced too far apart to absorb material and tests on minutia. Makes many mistakes and has to backtrack on test questions. No bell curve, most fail.
She wasn't clear, refused to answer ?'s, snapped at students & was rude. Tests are horrible, with 5 options for multiple choice. She'd throw out test ?'s after the test because they were not understandable. Stay away from this instructor! This class was too advanced for an intro class. I will go to a new school if she's my only option.
crabby
I don’t know what these other people are talking about, but this instructor was my second favorite instructor (next to Don Epps). She is very helpful, makes time if you need to talk with her one on one, and will learn your name early on in the class. This is a relatively hard class and the tests are hard, but if you study and participate in class
She's absolutely adorable. She teaches a hard class but makes it fun.
Good instructor, but her lectures are long and contains a lot of information. Attendence not mandatory, only in Lab. Tests are unbelievably hard, but she is very helpful. Always encourages student to ask. My rating a B-...
The tests are extremely hard. Lectures are long and boring. Very hard grader. Labs are okay. 3 articles, 4 exams, and over 10 labs. Also, 2 lab practical. My rating- C.
I thought this teacher made it twice as harder than it was suppose to be. In lecture, she talks way to fast and is not clear about the formulas she writes down. When it came to test time the test was way too diffucult. I dont recommend her.
If you are going to take her class, think twice becuase you are going to regret takin it. The way she teaches relly sucks, she talks too fast, the tests are way to difficult, and she even teaches chemistry which is irrelevant to the class. I give her two thumbs down.

The worst teacher I've ever had. It seems that you either love her or hate her...I am definitely with the latter group. She is unfair in grading, her tests are vaguely worded, she allowed a student to cheat on the final, and she is rude and confrontational, she got in my face on several occasions. Plays favorites, horrible teacher.
Gave detail information on lecture, sometime they are not on the test, test was very hard, not sure what she want student to learn from, doesn't care if student learning anything in class, teach like a graduate program, don't waste money and time in her class.
Excellent teacher. If you work hard you will get a good grade. Take good notes in lecture and you will be all G.
i really liked this class. i learned a lot. erin is very well organized and genuinely tries to answer all of your questions. plan to give yourself quite a bit of time to study for the exams. be prepared to write notes, class is lecture based. i recommend getting a voice recorder. follow her guidelines and you will do very well. :)
I felt that I learned so much from her. Her quizzes were a piece of cake because you can do them at home with notes and whatnot, but her exams are extremely difficult. Plan on attending every class, because without hearing the lecture and taking notes you don't have much chance. She thinks she is a lot funnier than she is, but it's kinda endearing.
She is a very good teacher. She goes above and beyond to help her students. She emails back to every question. She knew every students name the first weeks of class. The tests are hard but she tells you exactly what is on them. Wonderful teacher.
Good- Clear..Take advantage of her ofice hours
Very good teacher. Interesting class. Difficult but not impossible to do well.
Erin is an extremely professional and competent professor. She reviews all test material and even let's you know what is on the test. If you study and attend her lectures, you will do better than just fine. Remember, this is college and you do need to actually study! Awesome Teacher!
She is a nice lady but she is a horrible teacher. Her test are extremly hard. she is funny but I wouldn't take her in the future...toooo hard
She is a great teacher. Extremely helpful and really informative. Exams are sort of hard but if you study they get easier.
Smart lady, but I felt she made things harder than they had to be. She tested on details instead of overall concepts and subject matter. Nothing seemed to tie together. On the positive side, she genuinely cares about and wants to help her students succeed. **Do not buy the book, it is never used - she tells you not to bring it to class.
She is very clear and knowledgeable, but you really have to study hard for her exams and lab exams. Lab exams have no word bank. Very funny teacher and very interesting to listen to. Would recommend others to take her. :)
Erin Carter made learning easy. What she covered in lecture and lab was on the tests so there were no surprises. The explains material well. There is no reason not to get an A in her class, she tells us what we need to know and study for. She has a good sense of humor and makes her class enjoyable.I will definately take her again!!!
Erin Carter has been my absolute favorite teacher at Century! I LOVED her class! She provided her lecture powerpoints online so you can print them off which were very helpful when taking quizes(which were online) and studying. She definitely rewards hard work and I fully recommend her!!!!!!!
Erin's a fun instructor with a sense of humor! The class isn't a cakewalk, but compared to the other biology classes it seems like it is.Work:lecture notes,2papers,4tests(mostly mult choice n 1 essay q@end),4quizzes(10q each). She allowed us extra point quizzes on tough test questions to get grades up and does her part to help!Bio+women isn't2hard!
For the intense workload, she made the work easy and fun! She had rules but she was so easy to get along with and relate to; it made passing the class a lot easier than it would have otherwise. Carter is prone to acting like a dork, but that's what made her so amazing (and probably why I remembered half the things I did) :)
Awesome teacher!! great baker!
She is very helpful but quirky love her!
Erin is the best teacher I've ever had in a science course. She makes class fun, and is very good at explaining the material to make you understand it. You def. have to study and put the work in on your part, but if you do that, you can get an "A". I highly recommend Erin Carter to anyone!
BEST professor I've ever had! You have to do the work, but she definitely makes it interesting and fun to learn the material.
She makes learning the material fun! She is funny and interesting. I have never had such an amazing science teacher before Erin. Science has always been hard for me, but Erin makes it a lot easier to understand. You do have to study hard but Erin makes it worth it!I actually enjoyed this class and found myself looking forward to going everyday!
Erin is fun and funny! Her lectures were awesome! I learned a lot from her! Wonderful and fun teacher. Loved this class!
LOVE HER. seriously would recommend Erin. She is an amazing teacher, she cares enough to learn your name, and honestly makes learning biology fun. I thoroughly enjoy her class.
Talks about food and eating food. A lot. Don't go to class hungry or you'll be thinking about food the whole lecture. Great Prof! She definitely cares if you succeed in her class. You will definitely need to study though. None of her tests are fluff.
Love this professor! she's really patient and open for questions. she makes everything seem easier and the materials fun to learn. I highly recommend her! Instead of just answering your questions, she helps you get to the answer instead...wish there were more prof. like her...if you have to take Bio. 1020 TAKE HER
Keeps class interesting and explains things clearly.
She's hilarious. Lets you ask random questions, even when they're bad ones. Actually cares about the student as a person. Easy to talk to. Random, so she keeps you paying attention. YOU HAVE TO STUDY! But she gives you study guides, so nothing is a shock. Hard tests, all else she helps you with. Highly recommend. Made me understand science
Prof Carter is amazing. She is hilarious, extremeley intelligent, and incredibly approachable. Her tests are hard, but her study guides are perfect. BE IN CLASS! The text doesnt cover much- her lectures and powerpoints are key. I HIGHLY recommend her. Online quizzes and a few, fairly easy homework assignments.
AWESOME professor! Very intelligent, approachable, and funny. She makes lecture fun, as well as the lab. Take this class!
Her exams are hard but if you study, you will do fine. She cares if you succeed or not, but you have to try, she seems to careless about those who don't seem to be trying to succeed. She may be easy to get a long with but that doesn't mean that passing her class will be easy. from all the bio prof. i have, she is the best, gotta love her.
Prof.Carter is a great teacher and always willing to help if you ask. It is a hard fast moving class so you have to show up and take notes. Tests are hard but the labs are fun. I feel like I really learned alot in this class.
Prof. Carter is a really good teacher in class-she is very interesting and you will do as long as you attend class and pay attention!
Hard exams but if you study you will be fine, has crossword puzzles for each chapter, chapter quizzes. Nice teacher, but when you go to her office hours, it's awkward. She always seemed stuck up about students coming in to her office hours, but yet she encourages students to come. Overall, I would recommend her.
Erin is great! The tests can be hard but she gives you enough time and material to study with. She is a very nice and helpful lady and her classes are very interesting.
Erin makes you want to come to class. She is fun, knowledgeable and witty to boot. She is very flexible during lecture and allows you to ask any "preponderances of the universe", if need be. I also enjoyed the labs and found them to be quite fun. She gives a detailed outline as to test material. She's very inviting and enjoys visits from students.
tests are extremely diffucult!!! labs are more work than they are fun. she always say come ask for help but when you go to her office she dosent seem like she wanst to help much. also,, crossword puzzles take forever to do.
Erin is a nice and helpful professor! Her exams are a bit difficult but if you study you should be fine. The only downfall is that she moves really fast so it makes the class more difficult to keep up with.
I loved her, she was always really funny in class, and made the material relevant. The tests were always really easy if you paid attention and took notes. She was always very helpful and I looked forward to this class every week.
I've never had such a disorganized class in my life. If you decide to take her be prepared for your labs not to match what you are being lectured on. The book is expensive and all it does is summarizes no detail. Alot of info I google it I almost felt like I was teaching myself along with many others. Lab is rushed and then your lost. Dont take her
This was an online human bio class and she was great. frequently emailed us to ask questions if we had them and kept us updated on upcoming due dates which is always helpful for an online course.
her exam is very difficult. its very hard. i mean its not just the test but the the words she use on the exam very complicated to understand. evethohg i study the notes hundred times all i get was a ''c'' because her exam is very twisted. hard to uderstand and only very questins from note. do not take her. most of the students are doin bad in clas
a person who takes her is someone who want to fell. she doesnt care about students. i been at century for two years this is my first time seeing an exam that is so hard to do and understand. please do not take her if you want to tet a good grade. the only reason i amtelling you is so you know before you choose her class. i really hate that calss
I just want to tell the future students that if you really want to enjoy the world of science the world of biology, come to Erin Carter's class. It's so interesting and so much information, but if you want to get an easy A and not learning anything, not wanting to put effort in it, don't come.
Excessive work, rushed labs, impossible exams. Overbearing.
Erin is an incredibly great professor. The subject-bio of women-is hard if biology isn't your subject. But her lectures are great-very interesting, really engages students. I highly recommend her to someone who isn't really good at biology and everyone else of course! I really learned a lot. Don't buy the book-not needed tho.
Erin is very outgoing. I found her class very easy. I studied a half hour before her first exam and got an A. If a lot of people got a question wrong she will let you redo it online. Go to lecture to receive assignments and redo options. I dont see how others thought this class was hard. I'm taking 19 credits this semester and had no problem here.
She was a great professor! Easy to talk to and helpful! Class was more interesting than I thought it would be. The assignments were fun to do.
Such an awesome and quirky teacher. I really enjoyed her lectures although the exams were rather challenging. Not an easy A, but if you can earn it you deserve it.
Carter is a really fun and easy-going teacher, she is really great at explaining things and gives super helpful study guides, study them and go to labs and you will do fine, but be warned this class is hard and if you aren't prepared to study you will not do well in this classal
Erin is a great professor! Very passionate and lively, she does a good job relating the lessons with real world examples. She is very organized and also very clear with what is expected. Be prepared to actually read the textbook, study for exams and thoroughly finish the lab assignments as well as weekly Q/A's, Erin grades very fairly!
Erin is a smart professor, however the content in her class is not for a community college student. The exams were difficult and I hated taking them. My friend asked her how to stay on top of her work and how to pass the class and she told her basically that she didn't care whether she passed the class or not. That's just unprofessional. period!
Carter's zany. Her course work's not meant for community college. Always has "tricks" up her sleeve to help others remember some terms, but good luck remembering them. take advantage of extra credit and bonus Q's. Tests are hard. Labs are Ok, But must understand the material before attempting labs. Grading is fair. Show up everyday and u'll pass.
Absolutely loved Erin. Best teacher I have ever had. She is VERY helpful if you don't understand something. Her class is so engaging and interesting. You can tell she is passionate about her job. Grade turn around is fast. Txt book use is average. Not a hard class. If you need a science with out lab you should take it! Learned so much.
Erin is really passionate about biology and made me more interested too. She provided more info that is outside of the book which was very insightful. If you don't understand something she will help you. Lab attendance is required, but not lecture. Extra credit opportunities are available, but if you stick to notes and the book you will do fine.
Hard teacher, and gives weekly homework. She does not give good directions on what is in the exam.
Highly rec taking her online class. U would need to spend about 4-5 hrs reading & studying each chapter. Make sure to do the practice quiz in the textbook & the online textbook link quizzes. This will help you score a higher grade on your 20 min online quizzes. 1 easy assignment on most chapters. Exams are tough so review each chapter, u get 2 hrs.
she's an okay teacher. she's not always online but does reply back soon. the longest she'll respond back is about a day or two. however, some of her questions on her tests and final exam weren't mentioned from the study guides or from the textbook which is fraustrating.
quizzes has 1 attempt and no excuses. outlines aren't helpful to review on chapters.
Prof Carter is a very passionate about her job but for some reason doesn't make exams clear on what is on them. The study guides help with a good overview but you are really on your own for what's on the exams. Expect to study because it won't come to you sitting in class. Online quizzes are a little tough but doable. Labs and lecture are okay.
Honestly the class is okay but I think she Takes it over board. The test are very hard and very twisted the reviews are nothing like the test. You seriously have to STUDY literally 2 hours every day to understand the material . The online quizzes are hard as well. The way she wordings is very confusing. Labs are rushed , lecture are rushed.
Fair but firm grader. She expects that you learn the material and you will be given a fair amount of homework in order to do so. She's a great professor. There are a couple of papers to write along with some worksheets which only serve to help you understand that material. This is empirical science not feminist opinion. Be certain to study.
Erin is an extremely passionate about biology and it definitely influence my interest in the subject as well. While her tests are tough, I don't think it is unreasonable for her to require students to apply what they learned to real life situations. I like that she takes her class seriously but also makes it fun and engaging for the students.
Even though there was lot of work involved, she was always really helpful and passionate about what she does. You can't slack off, otherwise you won't do well. I recommend this class to everyone.. she is amazing!
study guides and outlines didn't help with exams and tests. all lecture notes are not even close to the texts and exams.
A very good professor! She explains well and makes classes fun because she enjoys what she does. I would love to be in her classes again!
Erin Carter is by far the best professor I've had at Century. Class is so easy. Do the work and you pass. There is barely any homework assignments. At most 2 worksheets due the day of the Exams. Other than that, there is only one worksheet you do every week and about 3 writing assignments. Take good notes and you'll pass her class.
I took an online Biology of Women course figuring it would be easy. Not so much. Erin is a great teacher who gives great feedback but make sure you read everything! I was lucky enough to have her provide an outline for each chapter online (printable) but still ended up having to read everything thoroughly. Tests and assignments are very in depth.
Tough professor. Lots of assignment. Dont take her if you want an easy A. Makes students work for their grade with tons of assignments and quizzes. What's the point of taking this professor when others dont make you jump through hoops to get a freaken grade! TRUST ME, DO NOT TAKE HER!!
Took biology of women and she is one of those professors who wants to make sure you learn something. She's not an "easy A," but she isn't UNBEARABLE HARD. If you just want an easy class and not to learn anything, don't take it. This is for passionate students.
The tests are pretty difficult. She does give students a study guide but it can be 10 pages long so it's very broad and useless. She often cut off people who were asking questions and assumed she knew the answer. You may have to do extra digging for answers if you don't have the textbook, but I barely used it don't buy it! Overall decent class.
Hard class. Definitely need to put in the time but it is very interesting. she throws a lot of material at you in lecture. I would definitely study every week and keep up with the material, and stuff we are learning. I recommend taking notes via the powerpoint before you show up for class, because she moves quik. Test are hard , use critcal think
labs is mandatory but lectures aren't. go to lectures (sometimes if there's only a little bit of ppl that come, she gives extra credit), pay attention, and read!! i liked her. so happy she knew what the heck she was talking about. the class was really hard but if you really work, you'll get it. she makes lectures and labs interesting and fun.
She is honestly a terrible professor. Goes way to fast during lecture and lab so it makes it very very hard to understand complex concepts. Her tests are extremely hard. She gives a review packet that is 10 pages long with every single detail from the notes, way to broad and hard to study from. None of the stuff in the notes is ever on the test.
I wasnt looking for an easy A, but seriously, her class is tough! As others have said, she rambles during lectures and cuts students off when they ask a question. Her study guides are 10+ pages long and are useless. Offers extra credit but not often. She tries to trick you on tests, so read carefully and try to get into her mindset. Good luck!
don't take her class period.
Great teacher, fair grader. She gave us excellent chapter notes and good personal feedback on assignments. Responded to emails promptly and friendly. She made Biology interesting and essay topics were challenging but also interesting to write on, I would definitely recommend her.
Prof. Carter is a good teacher, but the quiz's are HORRIBLE! Questions are not relevant to the textbook --but can be found in the notes --Very confusing. Would take this class again since I now understand the method to her madness -- But right from the jump, NO I wouldn't recommend this course.
Professor Carter is one of the worst teachers I have ever had. Her feedback does not aid in my further improvement, nor does it help me to understand what I had done wrong. I highly recommend not taking one of her classes, if possible, due to her low standard of teaching methods. Her class has not helped me whatsoever in any way.
Professor Carter is a smart, fair and good-humored teacher of Biology. I appreciated how approachable she made herself as well as the many opportunities for extra credit. Expect to work hard, but seriously, this is college and as students we should expect to have to work hard for a good grade. I respect her hugely and absolutely recommend her!
The class wasn't too hard. I would recommend fully reading and understanding each chapter, especially when taking the online class. She is a pretty harsh grader on worksheets. Tests/Quizzes require the use of LockDown browser, you can't look up answers. Tests are 50 multiple choice questions with 1 written response. Gives feedback on assignments.
Prof. Carter is the best biology instructor I've had. She's really smart & funny which make her lectures super interesting. Her exams are questioned hard but you will find most answers on your lecture notes. She does a really good job at explaining the material & giving examples. I definitely would take a class with her again!
This class didn't have nearly as many assignments as I anticipated but if you don't read the assigned chapters and take good notes you will not pass.
Prof Carter is nice and has a positive personality, though her classes can be extremely difficult. Not showing up to lab or lecture will inevitably result in failure. Reading the textbook is a must to earn an A or B, the material is heavy and can be complex so it works to your advantage to read, take thorough notes, and ask Prof Carter questions.
Shes a tough grader. Although she has a sense of humor, wouldnt recommended her. In lectures, she randomly throw unrecognizable vocabs that makes everything confusing. Along with her writing, bad. You will never get a 10/10 on labs!
horrible at answering questions. best at going off topic. just don't take her class.
Shes an interesting teacher and makes lecture enjoyable but for assignments she can be a tough grader. Just make sure you study hard and read through the notes beforehand
Erin is such a nice and caring teacher. I thought this class was very difficult, especially the tests. She gives study guides, but they are ridiculously long. Class mostly consists of lecture, and she talks very fast, but she answers any questions. As long as you keep a planner to keep track of assignments and study a lot you will pass
Erin has been one of my most helpful professors. She explains things in great detail so its easy to understand. Shes always willing to help 1:1 if needed. I genuinely enjoyed going to her lectures. I would definitely recommend taking one of her courses.
I was once told not to take this class that it wouldn't be beneficial to my path of eduction but I didn't listen at all. Lectures was hard as well as her Exams and Quizzes. She could've cared as a professor. This course isn't worth taken if you are not on the path to become an OB/GYN. Do not take this class unless you have to.
Don't take this class unless youre planning to become a doctor because thats how hard she made it. Also a lot of the exam questions dont match what is taught in the textbook or powerpoints. Don't sound too smart or she'll nag you on plagiarism even if it TRULY is your own words. Worst class to be taking in the middle of a stressful pandemic..
Professor Erin Carter is very respected but she is a tough grader. She treats everyone as if they were nursing students or doctors. The tests are hard and she words everything very complicated, so definitely read the chapters multiple times and take notes.
I am convinced she didn't read the book she had assigned for the class. She would have questions on the tests that would have 4 options, one answer, but all 4 options were listed int he book as possible answers. Skip her at all costs.
not many office hours for one on ones with her online students. book assigned didnt match exam questions, multiple choice quizzes were like a set up and trick questions where any answer could be correct from exaplmes learned. heavy reading, tough grader, no lectures to help understand assignments and material.
she was the worst teacher I have ever had because she wasn't approachable. she will never help you to understand the things she teaching. In addition, her grading was harsh and unreasonable. if you are here to check this teacher, please dot take any of her classes unless you want to fail.
Very organized and gives clear instructions. Quizzes on every chapter but pretty easy. Not much homework, mostly just quizzes. Very good at getting you to really understand the material, makes the class easy if you try.
Her quizzes/exams never matched anything that was taught or in the textbook which made them very difficult. Very tough grader as well. Also, dont try to sound too smart on your assignments because she will tell you that its plagiarism. One of the hardest class Ive ever taken!
I took her online biology class and it wasn't too bad. The homework each week through the smart books is miserable to do, but you just have to get through it. The labs are super easy. 1-2 quizzes per week. Had about 10 assignments for the semester. 3 big exams, which if you don't do well on those you are screwed. It is easy if you put in the work.
She is not helpful, for example, she just copies and pastes the homework assignment questions basically saying read it again. Quizzes are hard and the textbook doesn't help at all. Good luck with her assignments because she is very picky on the answers, even if it's right.
Good Luck!
I took her class in Fall. Online class. There's A LOT of things you have to do in this class. There are chapter activities, writing assignments, chapter assignments, labs, quizzes, and exams. The professor was very responsive to e-mails, and nice. You have to really focus if you want to do well in this class.
I would stay away from her classes. She treats each one like it's a graduate-level course, and most of the questions on her tests are based on the most mundane or specific sentences in the textbook, so you'd have to copy down the entire textbook to even get somewhere. I've studied for weeks for tests in her class and I've still gotten C's on them.
She's happy to say she's a master at course content not technically difficulties with the platform she chooses and that you need to contact tech support if you're having troubles which can take more than 48 hours so be prepared to use one of her "oops" because you missed a deadline due to technically difficulties with her platform of her choice.
I took this as a hybrid class and I didn't realize how bad it was until I had in person Bio in 2nd semester. Everything is done on your own and the labs are very basic. Not the worst class but not the greatest. I passed but it felt like I taught myself everything which isn't what you want when you're paying for courses.
The quizzes had nothing to do w/reading assignments, book written by her that none of the quiz or homework assignment answers. The book is awful, assignments require outside research and hours of it. She says 9 hours a week, it is more like 20 hours. She likes to threaten to turn you into dean, but when she is challenged she can't answer.
Don't take her classes. I work two jobs and I cannot stress enough how unforgiving she is. Doesn't respond to me and still hasn't when I emailed her. Her D2L is hard to navigate and confusing. She makes you look at the course schedule for every due date instead of just having it on the assignment. Oh, and she doesn't take late work. At all. Its a 0
Very strict and does not provide much support. Very much not empathetic to circumstances that may impact school performance or deadlines. The class was taught and graded like a masters-level course. Be aware that the book is way overpriced (like all textbooks), and she curated it so you will not be able to find a copy elsewhere.
Dont take this teacher if uou care about your mental health. Or your physical one. You think everything is straightforward but she throws curveball assignments. if you do take her READ THE SYLLABUS VERY CAREFULLY.
took her asynchronous spring sem 2023 course, she goes by mcgraw textbook, assignments and hw goes by very smooth and everything is well organized. Only thing is, she does NOT allow second chances regardless of how good you're doing in her class, so stay on top of your work and always read the syllabus if you plan on taking her course.
I took her Asynchronous Bio 1020 class. It was very easy to navigate her class in D2L, she updated what would need to be done for the week and upcoming tests/exams every monday which was helpful. As long as you read the syllabus and did all your work on time, the class was fairly easy.
literally do not take her class, that's all!
This was definitely a tough course, and expectations are high. She's a really hard but consistent grader, and she doesn't really get to know you on a first-name basis even if her classes are small. This class took the most amount of time for me, so only take it if you have space in your schedule!
It was extremely hard and a very difficult experience. The online labs were especially hard too. dont take this class
This is the worst professor I've ever had. She rarely graded over a 75% for the whole class and will accuse you of plagiarism. There were many tests where content that was never taught would be questioned. She also acted like this class is for a PhD. Do not take if you care for your sanity.
By far the worst professor I've ever had. She's very nitpicky with assignments and will give you at most a B. Assignments, quizzes, and exams don't even take much content from the e-book. She accuses you of plagiarism but provides no evidence or advice. Treats the course like it's for a PhD and is a slow grader. Avoid her if you can.
My biggest issue with this class is anything the professor graded herself there was always a point deducted for the smallest reasons. Even though she is biology teacher she does care about her writing assignments. Overall not the worst class. Lots of work due each week. 2 Chapters reviews due a week, and usually 2 assignments, 2 labs & 2 quizzes.
unfortunately, she has left a bad taste in my mouth for professors. Claims that you commit plagiarism but does not give feedback as to where you plagiarized on an assignment or paper. When I know for a fact, I did not because I know the repercussions for doing so. Very harsh grader, long assignments. Okay tests as long as you are reading textbook.
Do not take the fast track course, there is an insane amount of home work that is extremely time consuming. It seemed as though the questions on the home work were not necessarily on the quizzes nor the exams. Almost all assignments were generated on mcgraw hill site. There were 10+ assignments due every week. 0/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.
Extremely tough grader who deducts points for the smallest errors. McGraw Hill textbook assignments and quizzes aren't too challenging if you put in time and take notes. Lab assignments are lengthy but seem manageable... until you get your grade. Be prepared for frustration with this instructor. Took spring semester, fall possibly different/better.
Avoid this class if you can. The professor is very harsh, often accusing students of plagiarism without clear feedback. Quizzes and assignments are unreasonably difficult, requiring extensive outside research. Unstuck study AI could be a helpful tool, but this class is a test of sanity.
Assignments were very harshly graded. Would dock points for literally no reason at all. Would always tell you to look at feedback and then there would be hardly anything. Assignments were super long and difficult but ok structure. Everything requires extensive outside research to complete. Weekly quizzes/exams throughout semester, not too difficult
class is very hard and super time consuming, you have to read one chapter every week and then 2 assignment's due on Monday's plus a weekly lab that are due the following wed, and on top of that a weekly quiz every Fridays. this class is not for the weak.
I personally liked her, she's organized and sweet. I was able to keep up with her assignments by doing some on the weekend, so pace yourself. If you're doing a late start, be prepared to make time! She is a very tough grader and would take off points even though I had everything required. As long as you do assigned hw on time its an easy A.
This professor is incredibly difficult. Anything that is written and graded by her will be nitpicked, critiqued & graded badly. She is rude on email and leads with no empathy. I had emergency surgery &needed an extension on one assignment & that was made nearly impossible while other teachers were understanding
This professor is nice in person but very strict academically. I've overlooked labs before I turned them in and made sure I had the answers right but I still end up failing due to minor mistakes. The quizzes often contain material that can't be found anywhere in the studies and I've done poorly on them even after hours on end of intense studying.
good luck, don't take unless your last option honestly. not good for your grade no matter how good of a student you are she does too much constantly. not a good experience in her classroom or attempting her tests and labs
She is very nice, but is a very harsh grader and I found her class very hard. I have B+ and A's in my other classes, but I never felt like the stuff I learned stuck in my brain and I felt like I had to study twice as much in this class. I wish I would've checked this site before I took this teacher.
