I took this class when all of the tests were online, so the course itself is easy.. but be prepared, the final is in class and is worth 40% of your grade! She reads from the slides and only uses prezi. If you go to office hours she's helpful but class is boring.
Dr. Freeman is one of the best professors I have had at OU. She's fantastic. She can take advanced statistical concepts like multiple regression and explain in such a succinct way that you understand it perfectly. I cannot recommend her class enough.
Dr. Freeman is the sweetest professor I've ever had. She is incredibly caring about each of her students and will make time to answer any questions you're confused about. Test was 400 points but you get cheat sheets. Plenty of extra credit opportunities. Come to class and you'll pass.
She is pretty good for a class like stats. she loves what she teaches and give lots of extra points. she has discussion posts every week and lots of online homework but a lot of them are for extra points. shes good i guess , i hated the class not her.
Professor Freeman is one of the most caring professors I have had in college so far. She truly does want you to succeed and is willing to work with you a lot to help you understand concepts. Her office hours are very helpful! Don't bother buying the textbook, just use the online program, it comes with your book and homework.
Dr. Freeman truly cares for her students and wants to do anything she can to help them succeed. She is very reachable outside the class. Her tests are not difficult at all if you study the material she provides, of course. Weekly discussions also help further improve your understanding of the topics. Overall a great teacher!
Freeman is a really sweet lady as a person I think she is amazing. However, how this stats course was designed was confusing and frustrating. Unclear rubrics for assignments, tests were online so no one was prepared for the 200 point in class final, logically. Lots of extra costs for this class. Lectures were long and repetitive. No math.
Dr. Freeman is such a sweet person and you can tell she really cares about others. While there is less math than a regular stats class, the terms and concepts get foggy when 5 different terms mean the same exact thing. She does try to help with EC and a cheat sheet on the in-class final. Easy A if you do the assignments and study for the final.
One of the best profs I've had at OU. Does her best to make statistics engaging. Gives us time to process info and ask questions. Really listens to her students and values our input. Gives extra credit. A normal amount of homework (discussion and online stats practice questions weekly). Only con is exams are fairly difficult even with them online.
Fairly easy class. First three exams are online. Final is in person, make sure you study for this! She lets you have one page for a cheat sheet on the final!
Dr. Freeman is so so nice. She sometimes goes fast in lecture just because she's the director of all of the statistics courses, but if you raise your hand she'll go over it again. Go to class because attendance is taken and participation questions. Keep up with the material or the final will be really tough, even with a cheat sheet.
Dr Freeman is the best!! She so willing to help you so take advantage of her office hours. There is a lot of extra credit offered which is so beneficial for your grades. Attendance is mandatory so do not skip. One of the nicest professors I have ever have!!
Erin Freeman really shows that she cares about her students' success! Her lecture is a little weird, as the final unit was a lot harder than the intro due to how many statistical tests she introduced. However, the tests are online (except for final) so it's not hard to get an A!
Dr. Freeman is so kind and does everything she can to help all of her students succeed! Statistics is a boring subject but making an A in the class is totally doable.
Dr. Freeman is a great professor and person. She is very kind and is willing to help her students no matter the circumstance. It is possible to get an A in her class, but you must attend class and pay close attention. Her lectures can become very dull and boring (mainly bc its stats) but if you stay engaged you will do well.
Dr Freeman gives A LOT of extra credit and all the exams are online. Top hat is used in this class. She seems really nice but I really struggled in this class as the office hours and action center were not at convenient times for me. Theres a ton of discussion boards and two papers. Id take her as a professor if it wasnt in stats, she seems nice
Dr. Erin knows how to make her materials relevant to real-life topical cases; she knows when a material is difficult so she takes time to elaborate it more carefully; and she is remarkable at communicating esoteric ideas to comprehensible bite-sized topics. She is very knowledgable yet always speaks from a level ground with her learners--humble.
Super nice, and gives lots of extra credit opportunities and gives students plenty of chances to talk to her outside of class if they get confused.
Dr. Freeman is a wonderful professor! She is very upbeat and energetic, and it is obvious that she cares about her job and her students. Her lectures are very thorough, so I highly recommend going to class in order to do well on exams as well as participating because it is a grade. Also, the textbook is mandatory for completing online assignments.
She gives a lot of extra credit and is always willing to help! As long as you work hard, you'll get an A!
She is one of my favorite professors hands down. She is such a great teacher, and makes statistics so interesting by making it applicable to students in the health field. Although the tests are taken online, they are difficult and you HAVE to pay attention in lecture to pass. She also gives a lot of extra credit opportunities! HIGHLY recommend!
Please take stats with Dr. Freeman!! She is the sweetest and wants everyone to succeed! Her class is pretty easy with lots of extra credit. If you do not understand something, she will go out of her way to make sure you do. I loved her so much!!
Attendance isn't required, but most classes she does tophat questions. The textbook is required and comes with a fair amount of online homework. Her lectures are weird and can get boring pretty fast. I zoned out most of the semester and was fine. She really did care about the students though. All tests except the final are online.
Professor Freeman is definitely not just an "easy" professor but she does a great job of explaining anything you're confused about and trying her best to help you. I took her online and although it was a bit difficult, if you go over the power points she provides and take notes on them you should be completely fine in her class!
Professor Freeman was incredible!!! She has so many office hours and is very easy to reach if you have any questions! She makes the calendar very simple and sends so many reminders to students!! A very thoughtful professor!
For a stats class, this was pretty good and engaging. Sometimes she goes really fast, but overall she takes things really slow. She gives opportunities for extra credit a couple of times and it helps a lot. Gives practice tests and makes review videos so even though tests are hard you can prepare as much/little as you want. Lectures could get ehhh.
Shes a caring professor and really want you to learn! She gives out a lot of extra credit. If you do all your assignments, this class should be an easy A
She cares about her students and will check in on you to make sure your mental health is okay. She is super understanding and I would 100% recommend her. If you take her definitely go to her office hours and you will see how sweet she is. She grades so you could get a 0 on an exam and still receive an A. She understands that life happens. 10/10
Dr. Freeman really cares about her students and what she is teaching. I do not understand statistics at all and still really do not, but I still made an A in the class. Good TA's and large class. Would recommend her to any student taking Statistics.
Shes an AMAZING professor and teaches really well. Its hard to fail Bc she gives SM extra credit. I highly recommend. You need to put effort in the material but once you do its ez to understand and concepts build up from each other. Weekly hw/reflection papers but ez points.
I didnt attend class most of the time and still received an A. The tests were online and we got to use notes. Homework was a weekly thing that included a short 5Q quiz, a webassign, and reflection post. There were only 4 exams. She offers lots of extra credit so Im pretty sure everyone got an A. Her class is lecture heavy so it gets boring.
I thought Dr. Freeman was a really good professor. Her class was definitely not attendance mandatory, and it was pretty easy to receive an A. She was always offering extra credit and outside help. Her exams were open note and online, and we had about 3 assignments due every Saturday. Sometimes her lectures would get boring, but it wasn't too bad.
Dr. Freeman is a great professor and an even more outstanding person. She is very knowledgeable in her subject and is beyond helpful. I recommend paying attention to lectures as well as watching the review videos in order to do well on the test. Her lectures can become very engaging through her vevox questions. Overall definitely recommend.
The only bad thing I have to say about this class was she never looked at the comments or questions left on the homework. But all the exams were online and the quizzes and homework was easy to do. If you are not a math person take this class!!
Dr. Freeman is very kind. She genuinely wants her students to succeed. She offers TONS of extra credit and is super helpful when you ask for help. The class is structured exceptionally well. Lectures can drag on occasion, but they were engaging for the most part. I personally found statistics difficult and still made an A. Would def recommend her!
This class was very hard but the professor helped a lot. Theres a lot to learn, and it can feel overwhelming but as long as you show up and participate youre fine. Go to office hours.
Dr. Freeman genuinely cares about her students. She gives great lectures that help you understand, gives practice tests with an explanation video detailing every question, and offers plenty extra credit. There is a decent amount of homework, but nothing extreme.
Professor Freeman is really kind and wants to ensure that you understand the material. If you need help, just ask or visit her office hours. At times, lectures were a bit confusing but the slides she posted helped with further comprehension.
Professor Freeman makes learning STATS fun! Her lectures are informative and she is open to helping in any way she can. She is an exceptional professor that really cares about teaching and her students. The information you learn is relevant to real-world issues. I felt like I learned things in this class that will stick with me for life.
For a huge lecture class she still takes the time to care for each student. Although the material is tougher she is a really good prof that gives many extra credit opportunities. All the tests are take home.
She is good at making the concepts clear and boils everything down to its simplest level. Everything is online and exams are exactly like the mandatory practice exams. Class is super easy if you do your work and pay attention. She is super nice and it's a good class to take if you want stats with minimal math.
Freeman lectured mainly. All of her lectures were available online, but she formats them in s u c h a weird way. Three weekly assignments plus extra credit. Those took me hours because I taught myself a lot of the material. Attendance is not mandatory and tests are all open-note and online. She really wants you to pass.
the homework each week is super easy but the finals are difficult.
Statistics was a hard class in my opinion but professor provides a lot of extra credit and is nice. Biggest advice would be go to the lectures! Exams are online but are tough so you have to put in the work to study. Never answered any of my emails but the GTA's did. GTA's graded everything, if you meet length requirement you should get a good grade
Great lectures. Dr. Freeman is engaging and easy to understand. The online textbook is useful for examples of how to solve problems. Posts video lectures and videos reviewing the practice exams. A lot of extra credit opportunities. You'll do a lot of WebAssigns and reflection posts (written paragraphs discussing the topic).
This class was okay, and you can get an A in this course. Study forl exams, this is not a blow off course. The homework and reflection posts are fairly easy, along with the weekly quizzes. I never attended lectures, because she postd topic videos, I found the lectures to be very boring. Freeman doesn't respond to emails, but takes late work.
I really liked this professor and this class. She really cared about her students. I wouldnt say that this class is easy but it isnt hard. I think as long as you try you will do well. Make sure and do the extra credit because she will give out like 12+ points of extra credit. She tries to make this class enjoyable and simple and I think that it was
A great professor just showing up to the classes and doing your work is more than enough to get an A. I only got a B for not turning in a few assignments don't be like me.
Dr Freeman is the kindest prof I have had so far. She really cares about her students and wants to do all she can to be sure that you succeed. There is quite a bit of work but all of the exams were online and take from home. Her TAs did a lot of the grading but she was really accessible. I definitely recommend taking her!
Dr. Freeman is such a good professor that cares about her students and their understanding. She makes the material super easy to understand and goes at a pace that you can actually learn. There is quite a bit of homework, but it is manageable as long as you keep up with it. Her GTAs are always super available for help.
Dr. Freeman is FANTASTIC for Understanding Statistics. She takes a class that sounds daunting and makes it very understandable and easy to digest. Great lectures and easy tests.
She is able to teach a difficult subject in a way that students can understand. Lectures are important to attend in order to keep up with homework. She also posts lecture videos for when students have to miss class.
Professor Freeman was a good teacher and very easy to understand! The class was simple if you just showed up and paid attention to lectures. She repeats things many times even if you know to make sure you understand. 3-5 pieces of homework due each weak, but the quizzess are pretty quick to get through!
Extra credit is given, GO TO CLASS PLS. I would highly recommend you go to class, she really wants everyone to pass and it's honestly hard to fail this class unless you're not doing work at all.
I LOVE ERIN FREEMAN! She is so cool, great rolemodel, and her lectures are so easy to follow. Never in my LIFE did I think I would make an A in Stats, but I did-- and I loved her class. The TAs grade a lot, but I got great TAs. Erin is the best. Take her any chance you get!
Genuinely amazing. If you get the option, take this class with Dr. Freeman!! She is such a great teacher and explains so well. She also posts videos of all of her lectures on canvas. I was worried about having to take statistics, but she has so far made it great. I believe I will be able to finish this class with an A!
She is a great professor! She posts all lectures online and class is not mandatory. 3 assignments a week that are easy. Besides the 3 a week, there are 2 application assignments and 4 exams that are open notes that you take at home. If you are not very good at stats I would definitely recommend her.
Great professor. Attendance isn't mandatory but would highly encourage it as she gives lots of practice problems/examples and answers questions in a clear way. Explains everything in an easy-to-understand way. 3 homework assignments are due every week which are all easy. Do the extra practice problems before exams and you will end with an A.
Dr. Freeman is super nice and organized. She is a good professor and cares about her students. I found her class a little harder because she doesn't really explain how to actually do the math. The class and content is not particularly difficult, she just doesn't explain very well. Get ready to write a lot in this class.
Just stay on top of the workload. Consistent assignments every week, but there are about 3. Pay attention.
Freeman is a very kind teacher. She cares about her students a lot. You will have homework, quiz, and reflection due every sunday night on the topic of the week. There are 2 Application Assignment essays which are weighted the same as tests. There are 3 tests + the final. I barley attended class or my grade would be higher. Stats was never my fav.
Professor Freeman knew what she was doing but I feel like I couldn't connect with the class that well because she wasn't great at explaining. The math was a little difficult to conceptualize and the lectures weren't very interactive. Just go to lectures (or watch the videos) and take notes. Very long lectures + very many lecture slides.
I took Professor Freeman for Psy 2003, was her TA, and currently assist her with research. I can wholeheartedly say that she is the kindest woman you will ever meet. She has meant so much to me over my college career! Super helpful during office hours and works with you to get the grade that you want. 10/10 recommend her!
She is AMAZING!!! So smart and really enjoys and is interested in what she's teaching. The class is 100% online so its not hard at all if you keep up with the lectures.
Professor Freeman is a pretty good statistics professor. There are usually three weekly assignments. Her lectures are decent but can get boring at times too. Beware for her TA's some of them grade extremely harsh and it can hurt you grade severely.
This course was a little hard for me but, Dr Freeman is an amazing professor and actually helps you. She is there when you are confused and so are her TA's. There is 3 homework assignments per week which helps you understand material more so yes it's a lot but it helps. Although I do not enjoy math, she made this course enjoyable!
Very good teacher! Going to her lectures is very nice!
Absolutely adore her! She is very passionate about stats lol and her lectures are always energetic. She is very sweet and I love going to her office hours. Not a hard class by any means as long as you attend class or watch the lecture videos. Quizzes and reflection posts are easy, but Webassign can be a slight pain sometimes. Overall, 10/10 class.
Dr. Freeman is a great woman who cares for her student's learning. Multiple aspects of the class help reinforce topics and there is 3 weekly homework assignments but they are not bad at all bc one a 5 question quiz, one homework that's around 20-25, then a reflection post that is very easy to answer. easy to access and she cares about her students.
Definitely one of the easiest classes I've taken. Lectures and in-class Vevox questions are the exact same format as her open note exams. Be warned if you don't go to class the material can be confusing, but with a little effort it's doable. There is a weekly homework, quiz, and discussion board but nothing too bad with lots of extra credit.
She was great! She really cares and loves what she teaches. Definitely go to class because her examples help. There is a lot of extra credit offered, so you can pretty much guarantee the grade you want.
While statistics is a hard class, she makes it as clear as possible to where it is difficult to simply not get it. She is very patient and cares about us passing the class. I enjoy her as a professor; not so much the class but the way she lectures is very effective.
She is a very kind professor. All of her homework is due Sunday nights and is very consistent week to week. The exams are online-take home exams which is great for anyone who focuses best when they're alone in their dorm. Stats is pretty difficult in itself but she did a great job of teaching, attendance is not mandatory but it is helpful.
She's a great professor and very kind if you need help. She's happy to help and great at explaining. Attendance isn't mandatory but I would highly recommend going and taking notes as the lecture slides can be kind of confusing without her explanation. Everything is online/open note (including exams). I think there's a textbook but I never opened it
Dr. Freeman was a great professor. Her lectures were good but attendance is not mandatory. You could definitely take this class online and be totally fine.
easy assignments. easy grader. a lot of extra credit opportunities. online exams. no required attendence. amazing at explaining things. overall, a great math teacher!
Tests and projects will be your largest assignments, but there are a lot of other assignments to compensate. However, the tests are not bad and everything is graded fairly. Super nice person and very responsive to questions! Please participate in class because it can drag on lecture and she isn't afraid to wait for a response.
I loved going to her office hours anytime I was confused! She worked through as many problems as you need and gives even more in depth explanations. Overall, the content is not too hard as long as you listen to her lectures and look over the textbook.
Yea if you're not good at math this class will still be hard for you. Professor is nice but the homework can be a lot sometimes. Especially the application assignments. She can be a tough grader, but only if you didn't give your best effort. Not my least fav class, she's a good teacher, but I hate math so not for me
I took the for a psych credit. I barely went to the lectures but ended with an A. She's a nice professor but since attendee wasn't mandatory and we had 3 weekly assignments plus projects, extra credit, and exams I felt that I was able to teach myself most things. Also the exams are online and not proctored (just on canvas).
Great teacher! Easy class!
Dr. Freeman was really sweet!! You can tell she really cares about her students and what she is teaching. That being said, there are three easy assignments due each week and every quiz/test is a lockdown browser but not proctored. I highly recommend taking her class!
Shes a good professor but the class topics are so boring that the lectures are better for sleep than my bed. 3 assignments due every week, some lengthy, some short. Tests were online and were not too difficult.
Ms. Freeman is a very good and nice professor that wants you to pass. she has many IA's to help with grading and office hours giving every student a chance for help. attendance isn't mandatory but I found concepts to be confusing if I missed classed because her slides present differently on our screens then how they do in class.
amazing professor and very genuine person, but i could not for the life of me focus in lectures. there are quizzes, webassigns, and reflections due every week and 2 big application assignments. exams are online with extra credit opportunities with each exam. TAs graded so strictly but overall it was decent class. definitely take stats w dr. freeman
Dr. Freeman is one of the most caring professors I have encountered here at OU. The concepts in this course can be difficult, but she provides her students with everything they need to succeed, and I cannot recommend her class enough to anyone needing a stats course. Lecture is not required, but can be incredibly helpful for understanding material!
Great online course! Good amount of homework per week which gets repetitive, but it does help to grasp the concepts. Review videos were very helpful for tests. Great grade-drop policy in case you miss some assignments. Absolutely recommend!
Favorite teacher by far. She wants to help you succeed by communicating through email or office hours. Total of 15ish extra credit points + lots of review for tests. Homework/review is 1 webassign/ discussion/ quiz per week. Can be difficult concepts but if you ask questions she WILL HELP! 10/10 wish she would teach more classes
3 assignments due every Sunday; not hard, just tedious at times, but it really helped me understand the material. Dr. Freeman is AMAZING! Love her to death. Attendance isn't mandatory, but it really benefits you to lectures. She explains things really well.
I took this class as one of my summer courses, and all I can say is be prepared to do 6-8 assignments (including topic quizzes, discussion posts, reflection posts, extra credit, a practice exam, etc), including an exam. The assignments are not hard, but it's a lot of work. She gives extra credit, which is a bonus.
she seemed nice hated the way things were graded. also i hate stats so i never showed up all of the tests are taken on your own computer at home and are unproctored so do with that what you will
I am taking her stats class and it is so hard. She goes way too fast and gives out way too much homework. She seems like she is caring but she just reads off slides and expects you to basically already know most of what she's discussing. I never have time to study because I'm too busy doing tons of hw she gives out. I'm hoping to pass with a B.
This was a great class, very boring though. The homework was never hard, just 3 assignments due every Sunday (Webassign, Reflection, and a Quiz). There are also 2 big application assignments, which are like essays. Exams are online but proctored, with extra credit opportunities with each exam.
LOVE HER! She's super nice and an excellent teacher. Attendance wasn't mandatory, and there is 3 homework assignments per week with 4 total Exams. Exams are easy in my opinion, just take good notes. A lot of people struggled with the exams, but I never went to class and got all A's. She is super understanding. If you need to do Stat TAKE THIS CLASS
Dr. Freeman is an expert in the field of statistics, so much so that it begins to become sort of challenging to stay on pace with her lectures even while attending every class. Other than that, she is a wonderful instructor and I would recommend everyone to take her course. You will have 3-4 assignments a week and 4 total exams ( all online ).
Dr. Freeman was a great professor, she is very caring and considerate towards her students. Even though statistics is a boring subject overall, she made it understandable. There is also a ton of padding because of weekly assignments and extra credit so if you perform poorly on one of her exams like I did there is so much opportunity to make that up
Overall good professor, kinda a lot of hw each week but helps you learn the material and build up your grade. M
If you're thinking of taking a statistics course, take it with her! She was one of the best teachers I've had at OU. She has extra credit before every exam, her exams are online and open note (can use your IPad), the final is just on the last two topics, and she answers every question any student had in a kind manner and explains very detailed
The professor was cool and hilarious in the office. She tutored me way better than the TA and others, who didn't even help me at all. She's always willing to help when you're struggling with stats, so you'll be fine. However, she doesn't respond to emails, but you can always ask her in class. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
She is so energetic and fun! She made exams quite easy if you know how to do the practice exams. I watched her videos going over the practice exam and it really helped me get good grades on them. The exams are not easy so you must study beforehand. She really cared about her students and made class engaging. There is so much I learned!!
Absolutely loved her. Energetic and kind. She would give examples when teaching and has a video going over the practice exam. WebAssign is difficult, but exams are much easier to understand since she writes the questions herself. If you are confused on a topic she is very helpful at her office hours. However, emailing can be frustrating.
