A really down to Earth, cool teacher. She's extremely helpful and was always willing to help me and reply to my emails out even if it took 3 or 4 of them for me to catch on. The worst part of the class was WileyPlus, which isn't even her fault. Makes an inherintly difficult subject easier; I wish I'd had teachers like her back in high school.

She is very easy, and the whole class is run online. You never use the text book and everything is simple. Only problem is you have to attend class. She takes attendance every day and if people leave early she takes it twice.

She was great, always willing to help after class. Never shot anyone down when they asked a question. Take her for this class! You won't regret it!

I'm terrible at math and Erin made everything super easy to understand. She never makes you feel stupid even when you ask a really stupid question. She's extremely supportive and nice and you can tell she loves teaching. She's one of the best teachers I've ever had. I actually like math for the first time in my life. Incredible!

She is the best teacher I've had for any subject in my life. No matter how much you suck at math, she makes it easy for you and you actually remember what you learn. She's extremely helpful outside of class and I'd recommend her a thousand times to anyone.

Awesome teacher! She gives a detailed study guide before every test and later gives you the answers and also the work. These sheets made the tests almost TOO easy. Attendance is mandatory, but note-taking definitely isnt. Gateways done inbetween tests also make sure everyone knows whats going on. Only bad thing is the 200 dollars worth of e-stuff.

I hate math with all my heart and thanks to Erin, this was my favorite class that semester. She was always nice and made everything clear.

AMAZING TEACHER! No one could have made the subject seem easier. HOWEVER, I should have had an A. Never has anyone else jipped me on participation points the way she did! I got amazing grades, didn't miss many days, and sat front and center. The syllabus is extremely vague on where those points came from-I was %100 expecting an A.

Erin is a wonderful teacher. She is always cheerful, prepared, and very easy to understand. Her class gives you the optimum opportunity to learn the material and do well on all assignments. I'm so glad she is my teacher; she makes an 8:30 math class seem like a blessing.

Very good teacher and very clean about everything. You need to come to class to get participation (which is very helpful!) and how to do everything. Doesn't use the book at all, you just need the software.

awesome teacher! last math teacher flew through everything. erins awesome. she realizes that what shes teaching is new to most of the people so she takes it slow and gives lots of examples and is really generous on grading.

I took calc in high school and had a difficult time, but the way Erin explains everything step by step is awesome. She actually makes math enjoyable and easy to understand. Definitely take her if you can!

She is the best math teacher for MATH 150. She makes everything clear and easy to understand. She is very strict when it comes to attendance and most times waits till the end of class to collect attendance, so those who leave early loose.

This is the first time I've actually completely understood a math class and it's definitely because of Erin. She's such an amazing teacher, you really understand everything she teaches you. If you don't, she's more than happy to go back and explain it again. One of the best teachers I've ever had honestly.

Erin is an excellent professorteacher. She does an excellent job with getting everyone on board with the topic! Quizzes during class are frequent and are used to count attendance. Make sure you do the homework and exam reviews (which are exactly like the tests) and you should get a good grade. Couldn't recommend her more!

Helpful and knows her stuff. Knew nothing about Calc before coming in, but caught up and did very well in the class and I owe it to this woman.

I took math 150 with Erin, and to me this class was a walk in the park. I haven't taken a math class in 8 years, so i'm pretty sure anyone can pass this class. I went to every lecture (DON'T MISS CLASS) DON'T BUY BOOK EITHER. NEVER ONCE USED. DOES NOT CURVE, but will give you extra credit at the end of the semester worth a lot.

She is always very clear and does a lot of examples in class that help with the homework and tests. You can tell she really cares about her students and wants them all the be successful. You have to have the book to get the access code, but other than that I never opened it.

I took math 150 with her. Basically, if you do the homework and go to class you'll get an A. There are no surprises on exams. There is a lot of homework though.

I loved Erin! she is such a great professor! Math 156 isn't an easy class, but she offers SO much help! if you have the opportunity to have her as your professor you wont regret it!

She was such an incredible teacher and I always looked forward to her 8:30 Calc class. Very clear, helpful, and knows what she's doing. On top of that, she's sweet and relatable. She was there for me and helped me make adjustments when I had to miss an exam too. Her class will give you such a good understanding of the material.

Professor Goodykoontz is easily the BEST math teacher I have ever had. She is clear, concise, and knows how to make information understandable and easy to apply to homework/tests. She is very kind and really loves what she does. I highly recommend taking this teacher!

If you don't like Erin then somethings wrong with you. She's so sweet and willing to help at anytime. I've always dreaded math but I look forward to having the class at 8:30 because she actually knows what she's doing and makes it worth your time.

Dr. Goodykoontz has no problem going out of her way to make sure you know the content of what she is teaching. Never be afraid to ask questions or send her emails.

Professor Goodykoontz was the best math teacher I have ever had. She gives a clear explanation for all the topics even if they are not easy. At the end of the semester there is extra credit that can save you if you fail a test or two. Loved having her!

Highly recommend her. Comes off as tough but really isn't. Super good at what she teaches and makes everything easy to understand. Gives occasional pop quizzes but they aren't hard. Lots of homework. If you need help, go to her office hours and she is more than willing provide it. Super friendly. Won't make you feel stupid for asking a question.

This class is simple calculus. She teaches thoroughly. I would advise going to class to learn the material.

Best professor I've every had and I would take the class again for even no credit. Lectures are clear to understand. Stays in her office hours way longer than scheduled until you understand the material. She is here for the students and would take her again if I could.

Dr. Goodykoontz was one of the best teachers I have had so far! I took calc once before so I have seen the material before, but she teaches the class very well and is super clear when teaching the material. She is always available to help you when you need it. 10/10 would recommend!

Great teacher, Tests aren't to bad just study and you should get a B or an A. DO YOUR HOMEWORK. Thats what screwed my grade. My test grade was a 94 and my lab grade was a 100 but my Homework grade was brutal. Do your homework and should not get lower than a B.

I took Math 121 with a different professor and failed it. I took Erin's class online over the summer, and have never been more impressed. I am horrible at math and have issues understanding the info, but she took her time on the online recorded lectures and was very clear in instruction. I got an A in the class. Great professor!

Erin is very good at explaining the materials. in addition she repeats everything more than two times. she cares about her students. if you are taking this class you gotta be ready to do a lot of HW weekly.

She really explains everything in detail. She wants everyone to pass so she tries to be as clear as possible. You have to be prepared to do all the homeworks but you have 3 tries on each question. You have three tries on each of the 4 quizzes. She gives an extra review sheet during the review sessions before the test. She is an awesome teacher.

She is really nice and always willing to help. I would recommend taking her because she is really good at explaining and getting the point across in a good amount of time. The quizzes really help you prepare for the test.

I was terrified to take Calculus because I'm a non-traditional student and it's been 5 years since I took college level algebra. She explains everything in a very simple way and makes it easy to understand. Biggest tips are go to class (this means on time), listen, go to the LARGE amount of help hours they offer if you need. You'll pass no problem.

Erin is probably the best math teacher here at WVU. Explains things in such a way that someone who isn't comfortable with math can excel in the class. Homework, labs, and exams are all structured in the same format, giving the class a nice level of consistency. You have to put in the effort if you want a high grade, but it will certainly pay off.

Erin was a great professor! She offered lots of feedback to her students and gave a ton of opportunities to ask questions (both in class and one-on-one). There were review sessions for each exam and some exams had extra credit. The final was cumulative but not too bad.

Great professor, skip class you wont pass, no textbook just a notesbook which you are allowed to use on exams. Class is very easy overall you just need to go to class, pay attention and DO YOUR HOMEWORK. the extra credits provided are extremely easy and should be taken advantage of. Exams are way more difficult than the homework problems SO STUDY!

She is just amazing at the way she teaches and how little homework she gives. The content of her class is easy to grasp and she is excellent at explaining it. There are so many resources to help you in and outside of class, which makes it hard to fail. She also allows cheat sheets on exams!!

Although we had video lessons outside of class, when we were in class she made sure to go over content and do practice problems with us to make sure we understood the content. She is lighthearted and I would highly recommend her. Had her for an 11 o'clock class and she always had good energy!

Erin is literally the best math professor I've had. She is so good at explaining things during lecture and is very thorough. The assignments on webassign were due before each class and really helped prepare you for the lecture the next day, the videos were very useful.

Very nice and clearly lays out all the work so it is easy to follow/understand. She makes you stay the full time of class though which can become annoying because she grades attendance/your notes must be submitte dto make sure they are completed.

She always reminds us what is due at the beginning of every class which is helpful. She also walks around the room for one-on-one help very often. Staying on top of the homework and taking notes is very important.

She is a GREAT calculus professor. The workbook problems we do in class directly align with homework and exams, and submitting pictures of the pages counts for points as well. Exams are very straightforward and review sessions are offered. She also gives out multiple extra credit opportunities for extra points on exams. Highly recommend her.

Great professor, best one I've had for math. The class is somewhat difficult, however she lets you retake the test open notes for 10% credit back on exams, so you're not screwed if you fail a test or 2. If you're looking for a good professor for math, she's it.

Professor Goodykoontz is the GOAT. For reference, I asked her a question one time, and she told me to address her by her first name, so I think that speaks for how cool she is. She is very knowledgeable, but sometimes it can be hard if you are not good at math, but overall, the class is made to be very easy with extra credits and grade incentives.
