It covers a lot of material. You should read and study before class. Very helpful instructor but she talks too fast sometimes. Therefore, try not to fall asleep during class. Exams are pretty fair but require a lot of memorization. I recommend this teacher if you are good student.

Very good instructor. She gives plenty of opportunity for extra credit and her multiple choice exams are very fair. As long as you study hard and stay current you can get an A.

She is a great teacher. She may not be the easiest, but her tests are multiple choice and she has extra credit questions on her tests plus an extra credit paper, which all you have to do is make interesting and you get an A. She may talk fast, but there is a lot of material. She is a good teacher, so give her a chance.

She was a good teacher. She gets annoyed when people don't come to class and then want to spend class time going over the material again, but she was nice. She tells you what's on the tests and there is always extra credit, plus an extra credit paper you can do to get a lot of points. If you come to class, you'll do fine.

NOT THE EASIEST BUT YOU CAN GET AN A IF YOU TRY. SHE CURVES TESTS AND YOU CAN DO EXTRA CREDIT ON ALL OF THEM. THERE'S A LOT OF STUDYING BUT IF YOU KEEP UP, YOU'LL BE FINE.

Excellent teacher! Don't miss class, if you have a question she'll stop everything to answer you as many times as you raise your hand. Don't bother with the book her lectures and notes are plenty. This is a must study course there is a ton of information. Always extra credit and she curves the tests. She loves what she does and it shows!

I took her for anatomy lab and she was amazing! I only wish I'd had her the first time I took it! Her notes were very complete and she was clear about what was important for each lab. You will be there the whole time each week, but she will spend every minute answering your questions and helping you.

Good teacher, lots of studying. She is a Hardcore Liberal. Very opinionated but not interested in your opinions. If you don't agree with her she gets made. Just had a chapter where she spent lots of time bashing conservatives. This pisses me off. Politics don't belong in an Environmental Science class. But the class was overall ok if you study.

she assigns a lot of work but this is college what do u expect? i learned a lot and she was really helpful when i went to her office. she really will spend any time u need to help u pass

I had her for lecture and lab and really liked her. She tries really hard to make things interesting even though we're not science majors, and she made me think a lot. I have to study hard but I think I'll get an A.

Dr. Morrey gives many large assignments all due around the same time. However, she makes note taking very simple.

65% of our class got As and Bs--how bad can she be???

Dr Morrey really knows what she is doing! She was always willing to answer questions and was pretty good about e-mail even on weekends. Her powerpoints and outlines for each chapter are all up on her website. She lets you keep all your old tests. Give her a chance--she really was great!

I am not a science person but I really liked this class. I did OK in the class even though I didn't do well on the tests because there are a lot of points that don't come from the tests and a lot of extra credit assignments. The lab was less fun but still not bad, just annoying.

She followed the syllabus to a T; there was a paper due, but she will GLADLY review your paper for you before you turn it in and make suggestions on how to improve the paper! Very open and easy to communicate with, answers all questions and was extremely helpful in LAB

Her tests are no joke they are hard but she adds points if most of the class gets things wrong. She will meet with you for as long as you need to understand the material. If you want to actually learn A&P take her class she is awesome!

didn't use the texbook and probably should have i agree with other comments she is hard but will spend sooo much time helping you if she is there she will help you we did get off the topic a lot but we learned a lot also dr. m thank you!

This is the type of class where the student must take responsibility for the grade. You cannot learn anatomy from just lecture class. This much should be common sense. Negative criticism seems to be given by bad students. Your fate was sealed before you stepped foot into the class. Dr. Morrey did a great job, I learned a lot.

I don't know why people are saying she is not helpful. She has a million office hours and meets with you anytime you want if you can't come then. People need to be more responsible for themselves and stop hating on Dr. Morrey. She teaches in the dental hygiene department and knows what they want--if you want to learn that level, take her class!

Dr. Morrey is a great teacher. I must say it is very unfair to rate a teacher based on the grade you recieved. This course isn't meant to be easy. This isn't high school. No one has time to babysit. You have to study a lot to get a good understanding of the material. She is extremely helpful and cares about her students. Take her class!!

smart person, and I believe that gets in the way with her social skills. Overall good teacher. She is not easy (this is college bio not high school bio) and so sometimes you will feel overworked. She helps you if you look for her and shes usually curves IF she feels people studied. Without reading the book, your pretty much doomed.

Very nice teacher. Excellent slide show. She expects you to learn for yourself. She knows a lot too. Her slideshow is very helpful. If you are pre-med major, take her and learn as much as you can.

Fabulous professor. She knows this subject and it shows in her excitement. I actually looked forward to this class every day. Even better is that she owns what she doesn't know, will look it up and get back to you with an answer. Amazingly good teacher. She isn't easy, she makes you think but if you do you will make an A. Highly recommended!!

Definitely take prof. Morrey for Biology. She knows the subject well and you can tell she really enjoys it. I think she likes to see her students do well. She is very responsive to her students. She explains things very well and if you don't understand she will personally help you out during office hours. She is genuinely a nice lady.

Raters are right when they say she isnt an easy teacher, she req. and crap load of work. but, she is a GOOD teacher. if you are diligent in your studies, the class shouldnt be "that" bad. she def. req. quite a bit of work though!

She is NOT an easy teacher. Her tests take a minute to get used to (she has 2 essay questions worth 15% each, but you can study them before the test). Treats everyone like a Bio major but she DOES know what shes talking about. VERY strict. Miss an assignment and you're boned. But she is a good teacher. Take her if you don't have a full workload.

she is not a high school teacher. no curves. if you master the material you will get an A, if you don't understand it you will get a C or worse. she is very smart and will help with any questions. if you put the effort in you'll do good. gpc students seem to rate professors low because they aren't easy A's, which is unfortunate.

She is an excellent lab teacher. She wants her students to excel, and it shows in how helpful she is. I am extremely glad i took her, she was an amazing teacher. She is very knowledgeable, and offers opportunities to have essays turned in early for editing, which is amazing. You will have to work, but an A is attainable!

Maybe she is a tough professor and I do agree that it is hard to get an A, but a B IS REALLY easy to get according to the way how she grades. She does give extra points (quizzes) for each test. The essays are not that hard because they are basically what you are learning. You really need to study that is for sure.

She was wonderful. I only had her for lab so I am not sure what she is like for lecture, but I really enjoyed the lectures in lab. She was very clear and helpful. She allows you to send your lab reports ahead of time so she can review and give you pointers on how to make the report better. She is a cool teacher and I would recommend taking her.

She is a great teacher! Yes, she is hard but that's because she truly wants you to learn instead of just memorizing stuff. I'm taking a different teacher for 2112 and I think I was spoiled in her class! I miss the way she actually taught the material. The teach I have now is nothing compared to Dr. Morrey, so appreciate her while you can. :)

She is probably the toughest professor I have had yet. She know's her stuff and is very willing to help explain things during labs. She also gave the opportunity to proof read reports before turning them in which was nice. Word to the wise... don't expect a cake walk. She demands a huge amount of work. You must work hard to pass her class.

Yes, she is a hard teacher, but her classes are hard subjects. If you are lazy and want an easy A, stay away, but if you actually want to learn something you should take her.

Dr. Morrey actually cares about what she teaches and you don't see a lot of that now. Yes, there is a lot of work outside of the classroom, but it's extremely helpful and beneficial to your understanding of the course material. She is very focused, but also very willing to help you if you just ask! Highly recommended...especially for science majors

Unfortunately, the material taught is extremely dense. Dr. Morrey is willing to do and/or help students at all times. Probably one of the most "available" professors I have ever had. Unfortunately, tests are hard and ensure that you not only memorize the material, but actually understand it. Definitely not a cake walk, but a B is easily attainable

Excellent Professor!!! She knows her stuff and is excited about Cell biology. The class isn't easy, you have to really study hard to do well in this class, but she gives you all the tools to do well. Highly recommend.

If you want a spoon fed "A" and have no desire to learn biology then DON'T take her class. If you want to EARN your grade, LEARN biology, and have a science based major then I would highly recommend her. I'm a straight "A" student and probably got a "B" in her class, but I learned more in this semester than all others combined. TAKE INITIATIVE!!!

First of all, Bio is a hard subject. There are a lot to memorize. This is the subject that you can't just slack off and expect to get an A. Dr. Morrey is a great teacher. She gives out Powerpoint notes which I love. Really, focus on what she taught in class, do your HW, and do what she asks you to do. You will be fine!

1st of all biology is not an easy class with that said Dr. Morrey is a tough professor. But the failure or success of her students depends on the effort and work they put in the class. She gives out helpful resources such as powerpoints and STUDYGUIDES for each unit! If you do your part you should do well. But be warned she does not curve!

she is good. I didn't put a lot of effort in her class and still made a decent grade. her test can be a bit tricky but overall with homework and class assignments you should be fine

She is nice and passionate about what she teaches, but I still do not like her. I spent much more time studying her class than I did for the 1161 lecture and still only got a B. Her quizzes are pretty hard because you do not get to have a lecture before taking them. If you only aim for 2-year degree and care about your GPA, avoid her.

I adore Dr. M; she posted weekly due date reminders, offered extra credit for every exam, and was always willing to help through text, email, video chat, you name it! The class itself did take organization, dedication to reading each textbook chapter, and hard work for an A. The tests were straightforward and fair; if you study, you will do well!
