TERRIBLE. Has no format to her lecture, let alone an explanation of anything beyond the outlines she writes on the board and calls teaching. She talks a whole lot for someone who says nothing at all. AVOID this prof like the plague.

She is a jerk to people. She has no respect for people, all she thinks is that she is the master of the biology universe and she knows everything. Well it seems like she doesnt you crap. She never gives a clear answer. I thing she is a bad teacher and a bad person too.

What everyone has said about her is true. She is one of the worst teachers i have ever had here at winona state. She is unfair and very unclear. You ask her a question and most of the time she doesnt know the answer. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!! my average is also in the 60s

OH my goodness if you want to be taught by a Nazi then take her but if not avoid her if possible. She is the WORST teacher on this planet!! She is never clear, never Prepaired for class or lab (hint don't take labs on Mondays),and she doesn't care about anyone!! Cold hearted Dr.Peters=the grinch.

Her class is pointless to attend. She has unclear instructions in labs. I've missed grades from her lack of organization. Information she gives in class can be recieved in reading the books. I would never recommend this teacher.

Dr. Peters is very unreliable in her teaching style. On our first and second exams the class's average was below 70.

WORST PROFESSOR EVER! Her lectures are pointless, as she just reads off her notes she puts on blackboard. My highest test score was when I read the book and did not attend lectures. Can not answer questions and insults people constantly. DO NOT TAKE HER!

Definitely the worst teacher at Winona, hands down. Read the book, forget about attending her lectures, and shred her incoherant notes. The fact Peters can get a job teaching gives me a proactive look at the job market. Avoid her at all costs; you have been warned~

Dreadful! Peters is an awful teacher, she does not cover the material sufficiently, she is unorganized and is reluctant to help you. The tests are next to impossible because of her lack of teaching skills, not to mention how specific they are. Good luck if you decide to take her...you'll need it

Dr. Peters (I don't know how she ever got that title) is the worst professor I have ever had in my life. She is always late to class, and thinks it is funny. She has ridiculous test on her random stories about her life and ecology. DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING WITH HER. WSU should think about a replacement.

She talks like a tape in slow motion, no expressiveness in her voice, late for class, the way she words is rediculous to understand..ARG I hated this class...the only nice thing she did was let us "redo" tests, only because the first time you take it, you can't understand what she's asking!

horrible teacher. this is worst class i have taken. she should learn how to teach 1st before becoming professor. she will basically make u feel that u suck. if u wanna degrade ur self esteem and feel that u are dumb then take class with her. if u are smart and don't wanna be proved dumb stay away from her.

Tests are crap and do not show what students have learned. Many questions have multiple answers worded exactly like her notes, but she will only consider one correct. You can read the chapters repeatedly but it won't help. Take class with another professor at all costs! Ruined any interest in ecology for most of the class, only 1 student got an A.

She's quirky and kind of wierd but that's the only entertaining part of her class. I absolutley love biology but because of her I had to drop the class. She doesn't teach she reads from her slides which are just outlines from the book. If you need her help she's is never available. She knows so much about biology just not alot about teaching.

DO NOT TAKE Bio with Peters. It was the worst class and she is not a very good teacher. Very unfair in her grading and attendance policies. AWFUL!!!

I am pursuing a pre-vet career and this class SUCKED! I didn't learn a DAMN THING! I am very interested in biology!!! I took a load my first semester which could have taken a toll on all my grades in general making meeting the grades I wanted impossible! I recommend not taking a load with her and putting forth lots of time and efft into her clss

This professor is horrible. She is not accommodating to students at all. I wanted to take a test a week early and she makes me take the final along with the exam that I missed...I have had WAY better professors than her..She tangents on to stupid stuff...THIS CLASS is a 100 level and makes it more like a 300..Ridiculous and take Nosak if possible!!

The worst class ever! All she does is read from the powerpoint. Her tests are really hard, the only good thing about them is that she curves them and sometimes that won't help you. She doesn't tell you what you need to know for the exams and the book isn't helpful either because thats basically what she uses for notes. Avoid this class if possibl

The only reason I went to class was clicker questions. She was very unhelpful and extremely boring. Her exams are impossible, even with a notes page. Everyday all she did was read off power points that were taken straight out of the book and that were accessable online. Be smart and do NOT take this class with this teacher!!

Her teaching style is why I swore I'd never take a Bio or lecture class. I gave her a chance, but no. Doesn't make time for students and seems to find joy in tricking us. Enjoys putting answers that are all 1/2 true on MC tests. Emphasizes nit-pickiness instead of concepts. Doesn't explain things well enough to merit such hard exams. AVOID HER.

I have never encountered a teacher who has appeared to be as clueless as Erin Peters. During the class you will literally learn nothing. She goes off topic at least 10 times per class which makes it pointless to pay attention. The class is really easy if you can put up with her using the word "critter" to describe anything that moves.

The worse class ever. Hard for a 100 level class. She has a horrible sense of humor and seems like she hates her students and doesnt want them to do well. She talks about fish and other "critters" the whole time. DONT TAKE THIS CLASS

She goes out of her way to make the quizzes and tests worded tricky in order to make you read through every sentence and graph to find the answer. Changes due dates without notification. Her goal as a teacher isn't to inform...her goal is to destroy you with her shenanigans.

Very strange personality, hard to understand. Tests are difficult, online quizzes are VERY tricky. Don't take if you are not majoring in science. Not an easy 100 level course by any means. Class is fairly boring, it's hard to pay attention. You may end up playing hangman with your neighbor if you don't take your computer.

DO NOT TAKE HER! She tries to trick you on every test and quizzes will sometimes be due on weekends at 8am. Goes off topic all throughout class, expects you to know everything about bio, lab reports are 5 pages long, HORRIBLE TEACHER. Does not care whether you fail or pass.

i knew there would be soo many who agree with me .her problem is simple she needs to get laid. her cow boy apparel does not help her either. you know it dosent surprise me that she is as frustated as she is, but the fact that even after soo many bad comments she is still here. If you can take another professor for this class do so. She is the worst teach I have had to date. She makes you buy the book and never really goes over whats in it. She doesn't help you when you have questions in class, she basically says it's your own fault for not understanding it. SHE HAS NO CLUE WHAT SHE'S TALKING ABOUT!!!

If you can do NOT take this professor for General Biology. While she cares about Biology, she can't get her points across clearly. All of her PowerPoint lectures are from the book and you should keep track of the clicker questions because they will show up in the exams. Attendance isn't mandatory but the clicker questions counts. Avoid if possible!

Peters is terrible! Avoid at all costs, exams are impossible. Class average was 56% on one exam.

Makes class way to complicated for an intro class! She rambles about nothing but then gets mad when your on your comp. She once hit a kid in the back of the head for being on the internet. Have to read the book to learn anything and to even have a chance one the exams/quizzes.

She is a terrible teacher. She tries to tell jokes which makes the class even worse. In her lectures she does not teach the material. She is not very helpful. Do not take this class. If you have to take this class I recommend showing up everyday and read the book, take your own notes, and do the best to teach yourself.

This professor is to be honest one of the worst I have ever had. She doesn't put grades up, she doesn't make her own quizzes (which are not easy) and there are only two exams, and the final. She doesn't really talk about much during lecture, and singles people out all the time. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

I thought this class would be interesting but she made it seem like a waste of everyone's time. There are weekly 25 point quizzes and pointless assignments online. I worked harder than any other class just to get a C and I can usually get A's. The best advice I can give you is to AVOID HER!

She is horrible. Students basically teach her class and write the tests, which would be awesome if she would not sit there in class and lecture about nothing even related to biology. Do not take her.

If youre into plaid and denim take this class. She doesn't teach a thing and goes on tangents that have no relation to class. The students give the lectures, make the tests and all she does is sit in the back of class and criticize the students while she often times is not very knowledgeable about the subject. She is very rude too. Don't take her!!

She is fairly useless. The whole course was outlined by the students and she didn't do anything. She is beyond nearly impossible to understand her rants. The tests are easy, you just show up for the presentations. If you are looking for an easy class where it doesn't matter if you get up in the morning, then this is the one.

Peters is honestly one of the scariest teachers I have experienced. She has this smile and is sometimes quirky but she uses that same smile and quirkiness to insult the class multiple times a week. Sit in the front and never use your computer or cell for the sake of the whole class.

I literally went to class four times and still ended up with an A. You have online quizzes every friday. If you read the book, and go on exam days and the day you present you will get an A. But Peters is a scatterbrain, and super boring. If you are looking for a class you don't have to go to take her.

WOW! let me just tell you she is the WORST! professor you could ever get! AVOID her. She doesn't tell you what she expects you to do until she has already failed you.

She rambles on about nothing. She doesn't explain any assignments and then grades extremely harsh and unreasonable. You can study all you want for the exam, but she sets you up for failure. She leaves it up to the students to write about 1/3 of the exam questions, so she relies on the students to pretty much teach the class. Avoid if possible!!!!!!

HORRIBLE PROFESSOR.If I could give her a zero I would.My roommate and I go to class everyday, or he does more then I, he barely has a B and I'm struggling with C.She says look over the chapters and know the objectives..we do that, highest we get is a C. Some people flourish, most do not.Recommend not taking this class with her if you dont have to.

Absolutely a horrible teacher. The class consists of other students presentations and she rarely teaches. Her exam questions are incredibly confusing. The average grade in her class is a D, so I suggest you DO NOT take this class unless absolutely necessary.

Worst professor I have yet had. Doesn't teach a thing, assignments were all posted in different sites so it was hard to follow and remember. Hard grading and makes an interesting topic uninteresting. I'm usually an A student. This class sucked the life out of me, and it was a side class. DONT take it.

Horrible. Group presentations everyday, she doesnt teach anything. I stopped going to class and actually did better on my tests. The quizzes are easy but the tests suck. She is pretty helpful when asking questions about group presentations but that's about it. I do not suggest taking her....

Attendance in this class isn't important at all because she doesn't teach anyway. The whole class is pointless presentations. Studying for the tests all comes from the textbook, but it's pointless because no matter how hard you study you'll never get a good grade on the tests. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. Avoid at all costs.

Literally the most useless professor I have ever had. Not only is she not helpful in the least bit, but her lectures have almost nothing to do with the tests. She gives no type of guides to study. There is so much material that could be covered to be for the exams during the lectures but instead she tangents leaving you with useless information.

Horrible professor. did not help at all. was basically a babysitter instead of a teacher, she made us learn everything on our own, didn't give any extra help or resources like other professors and when you would ask a question she didn't know the answer and never found out.

This Professor is very tough the lectures don't have a thing to do with the tests, and neither does the book really. The tests are very in depth beyond the book...I do not recommend this class to anyone run in the other direction as fast as you can.

Do not take her class if you don't have to. Horrible professor, if you ask her a question she tells you to look in the book. She treated anatomy lab as a study hall, and made fun of students if they left early or didn't understand the material. I honestly would have failed this class if I didn't have a good lecture professor. Do. Not. Take.
