She is a very good teacher. As long as you study the notes, you will have an A. She never givesd homework & drop your lowest test score at the end.
She is super nice and very much into making sure you understand the material. She is very fair, I would definately take her again if I could. I highly recommend her.
She is fairly nice. She lectures the entire time off of powerpoint so if you take good notes you'll be fine. She grades on class participation, you have one group assignment, and 2 exams and 1 final no quizzes.(Not easy) she also gives you the option of writing a 10 page essay to replace your lowest exam grade. Just study and you'll do fine.
She is a really great teacher I made an A in her class she does only give 3 tests and a project but if you pay attention and follow her study guide you'll do fine. Her lectures are very hands on so it's very easy to understand, her tests are good just go with your gut and what you studied. Over all i really loved her class it was easy to make an A.
great prof.super nice and really easy.
She's adorable, smart, cares about her students, fun. It's an easy class. 2 projects which were both simple, only 3 tests and she drops the lowest, 10 shirt journal entries, gives extra credit. Made an A. I would recommend her.
excellent teacher ...very clear and very helpful..i took her for human growth and development..i loved her class...it is not hard at all if u put some effort and study for the exams..i got an A
Prof Erin Rogers is very professor and extremely sweet. She is very book smart in everything she teaches. Also, she provides several in class discussions and activities that really keep you busy!
Dr. Rogers is a great professor. She is sweet and smart, and her lectures are interesting. Her tests are all open book. We had 4 tests, with the lowest test grade dropped. I completed a service learning project and two papers, one on an article and one on a movie. If you read the book you'll get an A!
Very easy A, drop lowest of the 3 exam scores, only one project, easy participation points for comming
Easy class. She excuses absences if you write her an email. A lot of exam questions come from the quiz questions which you can take over and over again. Hardly had to do work and got an A
I would take her again if I could. She is very very nice.
This class was very insightful. Dr. Rogers is amazing. She's smart, nice, and she teaches very well. Her class is mostly power points, and some discussion online. She's very lenient and WANTS you to pass her class. TAKE HER! She's awesome, and I highly recommend her. She will work with you if you need the extra credit.
Excellent teacher. Her classes are mainly powerpoints and lectures. She also provides many extra credit opportunities. All of her tests are online which is VERY helpful. Really interesting class.
Good professor! Her class is all powerpoints and lectures. All the tests are online and assigns 2 major projects at the end of the semester. She is very sweet and she wants you to pass. I highly recommend her.
JUST come to class (earn credit just for attending!). She offers plenty of extra-credit opportunities in class that take minutes and tells you exactly what to write. Quizzes and exams (open book) are online (2 atmpts each + more than enough time to finish), although she does offer a hardcopy for those who wish (1 atmpt only). Drops the lowest quiz.
Loved her class. Her class can be taught in traditional or hybrid format. A chapter quiz on paper or online each week, 4 tests & a 3-5 paged paper at the end of the semester. Her lectures are pretty fun & she does whatever she can to capture the students' interests even further. I came out with an A. I highly recommend taking her for psych!
Dr. Rogers is a nice lady and very helpful. The assignments are all very easy and completely online so you can use your text book. There is one big paper and as long you put a little effort in it you can get a good grade. She offers lots of extra credit. Easy A I would recommend this professor!
Great professor. Take her.
She's very helpful and does teach from powerpoint BUT the tests are not open book and are multiple choice. Study hard and get A's on the three tests then you can drop the final at the end. She does provide a lot of extra credit.
Terrible teacher!!! She just stands in the front of the room and reads what the PowerPoint says in monotone the whole time. She gives a test review like a day before the test. There is one project where you only get the grading rubric with no description. It has no point and is harshly graded. I did well, however I regret taking this professor.
I went into this class believing PSY would be interesting -what a snooze fest! Good points: 1)attendance not mandatory, 2) course work consists of reading/completing modules online (don't waste $ on the book) & 4 online exams taken from the comfort of home = EZ A, 4) lights are dimmed during the disorganized power point which makes it easy to nap.
I took this class for human relations and it wasnt a waste but if u just wanna boost your gpa i would take her ...class is quiet boring because she reads off a power point u take a test and then you have a project where she doesnt explain anything... i dont regret this class but i have nothing overall positive to say
class can be done entirely online without seeing teacher. After first week, I stopped going and did all work online, day before it was due, and managed a B. all tests are open book, or online. If you study well, I'd say dont buy the book, just buying digital copy for half the price, though then you won't have the book for answers.
Great teacher for students who do their work on time and understands if you make a mistake or two. Lots of reading however. If you take this class, consider how many other classes you are going to take and how difficult they might become. Otherwise just depends on you doing the work to get an A or a B.
Very soft spoken, which at 9 AM can make you a little sleepy, but she's very sweet and willing to work with you. Her lectures are very interesting. All work is online, which can be a little annoying at times, but it's easy work. Would recommend for any class she teaches.
I have never taken an easier online course than this. It's self-paced and DBs are extra credit. It's a breeze. The online format does help with information absorption though, which was surprising to me.
Just completed PSY 1012 (online course) June 30, 2013. Very prompt in responding to emails. No deadlines for any of the work. Just make sure all the assignments, discussion boards, etc; were completed and submitted by the end of the term. Exams were online, all multiple choice and did not have a time limit. Impossible not to make an “A.”
Prof Rogers' syllabus is very clear, she is prompt to respond to emails, DBs are extra credit. Condensed summer course, so lots of reading, but manageable. Assignments online, exams online and multiple choice with no time limit. No set due date on assignments, work ahead but don't get behind. Read the text, get an A, that simple.
Had Professor Erin Rogers for SlS. She is a caring nice woman who wants her students to succeed. I would definitely recommend her. I got an A in her class
sweet lady, she will help you out if you don't understand. also quick response to emails.
Very sweet, but quiet so you have to keep yourself focused to learn. Easy A in SLS1103 as long as you do the work.
Easy class. One chapter a week, a studying tool, and a quiz. It's an interesting subject. The discussions are all extra credit. No paper. The exams are just three or so chapters packed in one. They're not insanely hard. Good class.
very easy class as long as you come to class and do the work
She is a great teacher you will learn a lot. The class is fun and there is an average amount of work involved. I would recommend her strongly.
Very sweet professor. It was her first time teaching college foundations.I would take her again.
I had her for SLS and PSY1012. She is a nice professor and is pretty laid back. The class was challenging at times because there was a lot of reading. However, in the end, it was a great class. Would recommend her to anyone who is interested in psychology.
amazing
Wow! What can I say about this professor? She is amazing! I would suggest taking her for a hybrid course since she is overall an amazing professor! I enjoyed going to class, and I actually felt engaged in class. The class content was interesting and she made everything easy and clear to understand. She is helpful! I suggest her 100%
I actually learned and I never felt stressed with any of the assignments or test because everything was clear and made a lot of sense. I highly suggest taking her for psychology! I didn't even open the textbook, its all online!
Dr. Rogers has a laid back teaching style. I enjoyed her class and learned a lot about myself. She is easy to talk to. She gives a ton of extra credit. She seems to have a full plate as of late. However, will make time for you and answer emails. I would definitely recommend Dr. Rogers class, come in listen, participate and do the work. Easy A
Easy A but you will also learn a lot. Sweet lady, take her!
One of the best classes at FSCJ! The professor is so sweet and soft spoken. I will miss this class because somehow she got everyone to trust each other within the first couple of weeks. There are a few presentations but they were so easy I'd do them again if I had to. This is an easy A but you learn so much and it might make you a happier person.
Professor Rogers is a pretty easy professor. I found Psychology interesting so this class was neat in my opinion. Do the homework and the study materials she provides and you'll be fine. Test are multiple choice and you have 2 chances to take it online so not very difficult. Has an essay at the end of the term that kinda sneaks up but it was simple
Took his class as an 8 week online. Was pretty easy and the material was interesting but there was a TON of reading. Not difficult just time consuming. Wouldn't advise taking this as an 8 week if your taking a full class load. Otherwise great teacher, everything was laid out clearly.
This is my second time taking Professor Rogers. She is amazing! I took her for human growth and development and psychology. She is crystal clear, grades fairly and is here to help. Take her!
I took her class online and there were no set due dates which I thought was nice. Loads of reading but the tests and discussions are a piece of cake. There is ONE paper on the topic of your choice at the end of the class. Nothing to hard, a simply 3-page paper with Cover and Reference page. I definitely recommend her class!
Professor Roger's is great. Follow her syllabus esp. on how she grades discussions, and papers and you will do good. There is a lot of reading. You get two chances to take quizzes. Research Paper, don't sweat it, just DO IT!! She responds quickly through text which was very helpful. Loved her!!
Shes a sweet lady but too soft spoken, the material was just not up my alley and kind of boring.
In classroom Fall 2016 INP1390 HUMAN RELATIONS class, Prof. Erin J. Rogers was a great teacher, followed the syllabus, and made adjustments accordingly. She also provided quick feedback and explanations when needed. There is a group project that counts as a final and she gives extra credit assignments throughout the semester if you should need it.
If you go to class, do the work and pay attention you should be fine. There is a textbook and yes it does help - especially on the quizzes and tests. There is also a group project due at the end of the semester so make sure you work ahead of time to get that done. Overall, the in class lectures are self explanatory and she is a great professor.
This was a 100% on-line 8-week course; very fast-paced. The subject of mindfulness is the theme throughout. I think all students should take this course even if your major isn't psychology; I have learned so many stress reduction skills that I will carry with me far into the future. Not a very heavy work-load and she is sincere in her feedback.
Took everyones advice and took her. It was an easy class, class attendance is part of your grade. One big group project that isn't that hard. I got the book but you can probably do without. She is sweet and considerate, and is fair. Lectures are long and boring but tests are off of the powerpoint so you don't have to totally listen.
I took an 8 week online class with her. It was my only class, I worked at it every day, and finished it in 2 1/2 weeks. It's completely self-paced, everything is due at the end of the term. Lots of reading and the homework is time consuming. The book was affordable. She emails students to encourage them not to procrastinate. Great experience.
Super sweet! Only had her once a week and she does a chapter and class. Textbook is on an online program (LaunchPad) that you have to buy to be able to do HW. HW is videos and multiple choice questions. Tests are CRAZY hard though- but their done online... and so are ALL THE ANSWERS. Seriously she is genuinely a sweet caring person.
I took her psy1012, 8 week course online, it was the easiest class ever! She grades by few things. 14 chapters with a few small quizzes and a final chapter quiz at the end of each. 2 exams. No discussion board! Shes quick to respond to emails. Very caring and wants you to pass. Do yourself a favor and take her class!
I loved how easy to access she was! I could text her and receive an answer within minutes, which i was very grateful for. lots of reading, made her expectations clear and sent out weekly emails as a reminder of the next week's assignments. overall, i was pleased with professor rogers and the course itself.
Amazing! Everything online and supperrrrrrr easy
He was an amazing professor. I would ask him questions and he would help with no problem. You could text him or email him. As long as you do the work you will be fine. The work might take a little time depending on what kind of person you are and how you like to study. Make sure you buy the book or get a online book because you need the code
One of my favorite classes I've took at fscj, very hands on, lots of group work and a few projects.
You work at your own pace. It was a really interesting class, just get your modules done. Easy and you learn a lot.
There is a fair amount of work but it's truly a great class. As long as you keep up with the work, you'll get an "A". I enjoyed the discussion boards.
This class is super difficult. She only gives you PowerPoint to study, she is not clear during the class period. Wont give an idea of what the test is going to be. The exams are SUPER difficult and one attempt. I dont recommend this professor.
No proctored tests. Two tests. All work is on a website that allows a 2 week access code and the text book is online.
She used a LaunchPad e-book program where the class was self-paced. Easy to get behind if you have lots of small children! You must prioritize your time and make sure you don't fall behind. Not really sure of her personality, as there was no interaction with her at all. No DB's, that's a plus.
Professor Rogers is very good at replying to emails. I took this as an online class and as long as you do the work this is an easy A. I would definitely take this professor over again. My first class back in college after 10 years, this was the best class to start with ! Work at your own pace.
I took PSY 1012 - 48 General Psychology online and passed with an A. You have to watch modules online and then complete quizzes. Very simple class. I would recommend taking it online. Professor Erin Rogers responded quickly to my emails. She was very thro on answering any questions I had. Her rubric was simple to understand.
She was so rude on the first day. i approached her after the 1st class and asked her for more information and clarification (she talks like a literal mouse and no one could hear her) so when i asked for clarification she blamed me for not hearing her. then i asked about the modules and she said she wont repeat herself. i DO NOT RECOMMEND !!!!!
Honestly, for this class I would wake up to put in the attendance code and then go back to sleep. She was an okay person I suppose, but she felt sort of condescending. There is homework and a quiz once a week, but it's due at the end of the semester. (super easy) There is also a final project about the human relations of a business of your choice.
Had to pay a TopHat subscription for video lectures but book was free. She was very engaging and willing to discuss questions. Gives good power points for exams and multiple attempts on quizzes. She was kind and funny and is clearly passionate about her area of study. Highly recommend.
This class was VERY easy. I would recommend this class to anyone who has a heavy courseload or a full time worker. 8 Quizzes optional discussion boards and one paper. I finished the entire course in one weekend.
I took the 7 week course, so it was 2 chapters a week, but there's only one discussion board and quiz with each module. She was there for questions and help, but it's very much a self taught class and you set your own pace. Except for the DB, everything is due at the end. One paper and an online proctered final. Pretty easy and interesting class.
The professor was very chill and lenient with grading as long as you followed her clear instructions. There are proctored exams but she did allow us to use notes not sure if its the same for her other courses. Theres a final paper due at the end so make sure not to wait last minute to complete it. Also be prepared for weekly discussion boards.
Twenty Five pages worth of useless examples or concepts about human relation scenarios just to take a 60 minute test (CANT REDO QUIZ) just about the vocabulary. Anything that isn’t automatically graded please let her know to grade it before the deadline date. 80 point project haven’t got graded even after I emailed her and class was over with.
I love taking her classes. Very nice professor.
was very nice and wanted to share her knowledge with her students. The quizzes were kinda hard but overall super easy class. the end of the semester projects were easy just time consuming
If you want to take psychology, she should be your first choice. She is very knowledgeable, and her lectures are engaging. Participation in the lecture discussions is very important. Class consists of 4 quizzes, a final, and a handful of (very easy) projects. There is absolutely no way you can fail her class if you put in the effort. A must-take!
Typical quizzes and discussions for every chapter which were very easy. 3 major exams, you are able to use notes and it is proctored so I recommended reading the content thoroughly and take really good notes. Paper at the end of the semester but good topics available. Overall, relatively fair and easy class if you put in the work!
This class was very fair and pretty easy as long as you put in the work. I should've gotten an A but I got lazy as it is a lot of reading. The course is pretty straight forward, you're allowed to use handwritten notes on the proctored exams. She provides the textbook, a lecture video and a powerpoint. Also interesting topics!
This class was so incredibly easy, and she was very nice! For each module she had the reading material, key terms, crash course videos, her lectures, PowerPoints, and practice quiz questions which made it so so easy to learn the material. I took the 7-week class, and the work was super manageable. I would 100% take her again if I could!
Her tests are 80% of the grades. Her class can be difficult if you're a bad test taker like me. 4 tests with 50 questions. 10% for quizzes and 10% for the final project. Class was interesting in and of itself but lacked interaction between students. Not mandatory attendance but gives extra credit for it.
She's a good professor. Sometimes the lectures were kind of boring. But she gives many extra credit options. There are 4 tests you get to use your notes, it is proctored. The quizzes are not. But she really cares about you. Im a bad test taker but was still able to do well on her tests. You're graded on 4 test, 20% quiz grades average, 10%project
Very kind and forgiving teacher. Would highly recommend this class to anyone and you can work at your own pace pretty much.
Great to work with. Detailed lectures, very fair at marking. Explained things really well.
Dr. Rogers clearly loves what she does, and it shows in her recorded lectures for an all-online class. The materials she provides for the class, including the lectures, provide plenty of ways to be successful. I would highly recommend her, and I would love to take another one of her classes!
Prof. Rogers was fantastic! I already enjoyed this subject, but her assignments and TED Talks kept it interesting. She's flexible with due dates and genuinely cares about her students—I experienced that firsthand. Her grading is very straightforward, which I appreciate. Do the work, and you'll get an A. I'd absolutely take her class again!
This professor talks like a puppy so if you are hard on hearing sit by the front. She is an amazing, sweet professor. Her tests are not very difficult, and she lets you write notes for the test, her quizzes are not hard, and many extra credit opportunities if you show up. An Easy A in this class. Little work outside of class. No complaints.
The class wasn't too difficult. There were an online assignment and quiz due every few weeks. There was also a presentation and a final which both were not difficult. You can also use notes on the final.
The online, work at your own pace structure was really convenient. Lectures include all necessary information needed for quizzes/tests while still being easy to listen to. Textbook materials are provided which is awesome! Professor Rogers is very quick when replying to emails and provided very clear instructions for assignments/projects.
