Erin is amazing and the best professor I've had in the special events certificate program. She is very nice, straightforward and covers useful material. You actually learn from her & she doesn't just read off the slides or make you do unnecessary work like other professors in the program. I have learned more in her class than other event courses.
Class was easy and for my major, though it was paper heavy and some of the grading material was way too rough for an intro class. As long as you do the work though and actually read things, you should be perfectly fine.
I took this class for a requirement outside of my major and ending up really enjoying the course and learning a lot.
Professor Schneiderman is a wonderful instructor with interactive video lectures, appropriate reading material, accessibility, willingness to help as much as possible, very informative, especially with feedback on your work. It was my first class with her (PRM 483 - Sports Tourism). I hope to have her again. Can't wait to go to Baltimore July '20!
Erin is a really great teacher. She made the grading criteria very clear and simple. The class requires site visits to different locations during class time but she makes sure they are easy to get to. The whole class is working towards the event that is planned and put on at the end of the semester. Honestly a super easy class with a great teacher.
Lots of site visits for this class which is fun and informative, but be prepared to travel around the city. Make friends with somebody in class who has a car.
Prof. Erin Schneiderman is a real gem. She is involved and takes the time to get to know each of her students. Always available to answer questions promptly. Her courses are clearly defined and easy to follow. Will take a class with her again.
Her grading is very clear and to the point, she lists all of her expectations up front. I took this class as a session b and so obviously there was going to be a lot of work to do in a short amount of time but I knew what was expected of me. The material was easy to understand and very relevant to absolutely anybody who takes this class.
Prof made the class pretty cut and dry, no surprises. Not sure about the TA. Alot of writing but was not hard writing, anyone that is able to articulate their opinions and feelings will do just fine. Get ready for some APA formatting!
Take this class! Professor Schneiderman is the best! She is efficient and friendly. Her class is super organized and there's not a lot of busy work. Interesting material. One discussion board post with two responses and a quiz per week, and then two papers. As a working adult with a family, I wish every online course was like this.
Professor Erin Schneiderman was great and her class opened up my eyes to the importance of leisure. If you take the class you won't regret it. If you do the work you get an "A", it's that simple. I would definitely take her courses in the future. I easily passed with 98.31%. It would've been 100% if I took the extra credit final exam.
I gained a lot of real event planning experience & skills. Erin is kind & genuinely does her best to help her students be successful. She has TONS of connections in the event world that she uses for guest speakers & shares job openings in the field with us. Goal is planning a REAL event with the class. Attendance is graded. Field trips! No exams!
This class has been great and I was able to gain hands-on experience in the event planning world which I can add to my resume as well. I learned so many new things and all her assignments are easy to understand. She is very responsive over email and replies almost immediately. I would definitely recommend taking this class, Erin is incredible.
She is great! Not only do you learn but you get hands on experience! Through the pandemic we were still able to do the event and she handled everything great! She used to work for the NFL so she is amazing to go for inspiration and is always willing to help! Dont be afraid to ask!
Erin is an AMAZING teacher!! As long as you show up to class, and get your participation points; you'll pass! There are only a few assignments and the guidelines are very clear! She provides feedback on all assignments and cares about each and every one of her students!! Cannot rave about her enough!!
She is honestly such an amazing teacher. I had her for an online class and she was always super present and helpful. Our textbook seemed to be a little outdated but she makes up for that by providing supplementary readings and videos. I learned a lot from her class.
Erin is a fantastic professor and an all-around great person. I have had her for multiple classes now and she never disappoints. She cares about her students as people as well as their learning. If you get the chance to have Erin as a teacher take it! You will learn so much from her and all the while you'll enjoy what you're learning.
Erin is an amazing professor I highly recommend!! I took her in-person PRM 475 class and online TDM 483 and both classes were so fun to take. She has a very clear syllabus and grading criteria, if you follow that you will definitely get an A+!! She cares about her students and their success, and does not want anyone to fail.
It was clear from the beginning that Professor Erin really values and respects her students and wants them to succeed. I'm grateful for her commitment to us during such an uncertain time. She far exceeded my expectations !!! I definitely recommend taking a class with her!
Prof. Schneider man was great. Was very helpful and was always accessible at anytime for questions. Always in a great mood and excited to help, and keep pushing you forward toward your goal.
Would highly recommend taking this class with this amazing professor!
I loved this class!!! The professor was so nice, and I really hope I get to do more classes under him! This is definitely one of my favorite ASU classes so far! The professor is really understanding and even offers an extra credit course if students need it. I've never had such a flexible professor before, I wish more professors were like this one!
Breezy class. Very straightforward and simple. The professor and assistants interacted well with all of the students. Would take this class again or another class with the same staff.
This was a session b class for me so naturally it felt like a good amount of work but it was the same every week so I knew what to expect and you could technically go at your own pace as he takes late work (all the way until the end of the semester) nothing was confusing so it was a good course if you need something to fill your schedule
Concepts explained in an easy to understand method.
I really love this class! I highly recommend this course. It's not much assignments, but each assignment makes me learn a lot. Prof. Schneiderman is very helpful to the students and answers any questions patiently. I learned a lot from her class.
TMD350 was really interesting and only had a weekly reflection that was easy. The midterm and final are open book and only on one chapter each, making it really easy. This was an easy GPA booster and really interesting! Also, no papers over 2 pages or discussion boards!
Overall one of my favorite professors. She provides amazing feedback and allows freedom for creativity. I definitely feel like I was able to learn a lot as well as understand her assignments. Every week there is something due, but often enjoyed doing her assignments as they are related to my major. 100% recommend.
i like the class she gives significant feed back . She also great on providing information about any event that happened and show where to go if searching in to getting a job or internship .Also, is understanding when things happen and helps you .I truly would love if she had lectured and some examples of few activities but i loved the class .
She is an awesome professor who loves to help others and watch them succeed!
Amazing teacher that I would take a class with every semester with if I could! She is a wealth of knowledge and resources. She is very kind and fair and cares amount her students so much.
Erin is a wonderful professor! I've never been inclined to write a review for a professor, but I couldn't pass up this opportunity. Erin is easily reachable, very responsive and she will help you get connected with her professional contacts. Her class is one I wish I could take over and over again. Highly recommend taking any class Erin teaches!
Erin was an amazing and communicative professor and I look forward to having her again through the rest of my Special Events certificate!
Erin is amazing!!! She has taught me so much about the event world and how to create a great career for yourself! I will definitely miss her :)
I must say that my professor really structured the class very well. I didn't feel burnt out and was was able to retain the material due to the pace of the modules. My professor didn't give too much and also didn't give too little. I really enjoyed my class and the teaching model.
Erin is great! Her lectures are easy to retain with little to no study and are very interesting. There are group projects but they are not difficult. As long as you answer the questions and try your best, she recognizes that. This class was an easy A. Take advantage of her network. She can connect you with people in your field of interest.
As this is one of the first classes I have taken at ASU, it is by far my favorite! Erin Schneiderman is my favorite instructor, she always gives great feedback. As long as you read the course materials you are able to complete the assignments. If there is a chance for me to take a class with her again, I would love to!
Frankly, this is definitely not my favorite course. The workload is a lot for a 100 level class. There are quizzes, discussion boards (3 posts), and short papers due every week, w/ a minimum word limit. If you're okay with reading multiple sources and writing every week, you'll learn a few interesting things and the prof is accessible too!
Had her as a professor for TDM 350 as an icourse. She graded assignments within minutes of submitting and the assignments were fun and easy to do. They were outlined very clearly. Her lectures were entertaining to watch and I learned a lot from them. I would take all of the classes she teaches!
Great class. Lots of reading but that goes with the amount of learning you will go through.
Such a good class, if you are interested in the material the assignments are actually helpful and she is a such a great professor. If you want connections in the industry she will help you reach out to them and get you involved.
Class requires a lot of time for reading and watching lectures, but assignment instructions are clearly stated and not too difficult, just might require a little creativity. She grades work extremely fast with helpful comments, and as long as you put in the effort you'll get an A.
Erin is one of the best professors I had at ASU. I've taken 4 of her classes and each of them is very straightforward, reasonably paced and engaging. She's a really light grader and always gives plenty of time for assignments. Sometimes Erin takes us on cool field trips to that's a bonus.
Erin is AWESOME. She cares about her students and about the material she is teaching. I have had her as prof for two different courses, and she is always encouraging, clear, and knowledgeable. She has lots of experience in the events industry and is eager to share wisdom, but be sure to remember that she values active participation. Take her class!
The best Session A course you will ever take! Only one assignment a week and it's so simple (make a flyer/write a 4 page reflection paper (2 of them only)). Her lectures are very understanding and she doesn't assign too much to read. She isn't a touch grader but is strict with late assignments, she will absolutely not take them! Overall I loved it
Make sure to pay very close attention to all Rubrics, there are small things I would miss that aren't necessarily in the instructions but on the rubric. So pay attention! Overall, she is super easy-going, although she will make you work for it! Great class.
Schneiderman is awesome if you want to work ahead in your classes. Everything is pre-recorded and she doesnt lock anything, you could finish your course in a week if you really wanted to. She really understands how to teach an online class, and has fairly quick responses.
Super easy class. Minimal assignments and fast grading with feedback. Complete the assignments and you will do great.
If you read the chapters and watch the required videos, you should have no problem getting an A.
She is an excellent teacher. I took 2 classes with her and I learn a lot.
Professor Schneiderman was amazing, her lectures were great and she allowed us to work ahead which I appreciated. She also graded everything right away even if it wasn't due for a few weeks and unlike my other professors this semester, she actually provides feedback which is greatly appreciated.
Love Erin! She truly cares about her students and her classes are useful for day to day life. 10/10 recommend taking her courses.
Erin is an amazing teacher! She really tries to get her students involved as much as possible and also tries to make her lectures fun and super participative!!
This is the second course I took with Erin she is always so caring and provides a lot of out-of-class site visits and activities. Mostly projects with one final exam at the end of the semester, attendance grade is also worth a lot of points.
Professor Schneiderman is amazing! I've taken three courses with her and all of them have been super easy and very interesting! TDM 487 is full of guest speakers and cool site visits like the phoenix suns stadium, chase field, Hyatt hotels and much more. No quizzes, easy assignments, one multiple choice final that allows study notes.
Best professor! Love you Erin!!!!

Overall she is a great professor
This professor genuinely enjoys sharing information and wants to help you learn. She's very accessible and returns emails quickly and gives feedback on assignments. She's a joy!
Professor Schneiderman was enthusiastic about the learning material and made the course exciting.
Professor Schneiderman is awesome she responds to emails quickly and clearly. She is flexible as she understands life happens but be honest up front and don't wait till the last minute nobody likes that. Great person and truly cares about your education and you as a person, I highly recommend her
Erin is an amazing professor! She genuinely cares about her students and does everything in her power to help you succeed. 10/10 professor and 10/10 person!
Erin is wonderful. She uses a hands-on approach to teaching the event industry. Field trips ("site visits") and do-it-yourself assignments really help you learn the material and apply it in a real-world sense. She tracks attendance using name tents. 1 assignment every 2 weeks, 1 group project, and 1 test.
PRM 494 was such a fun class that allowed me to have real-world experience working for the Arizona Cardinals. The class was structured where participation was the primary form of grading, where you have to get so many hours to pass the class. I would highly recommend this class to anybody who is interested in sports or working in stadiums.
this is fun
The class is very organized. Just take your time to read and watch the videos to learn well. Homework and quizzes are fairly easy. She is very communicative and cares about her students, even posting volunteer opportunities.
This class was incredibly fun! Although there were a couple of readings, there are no exams and the majority of your grade comes from discussions and the two reflection papers both of which require you to attend a sports event and participate in one! Overall, great class. 100% recommend!
Professor Schneiderman is very available, so if you have any questions just email him and your questions will be answered!
Erin is such an easy professor to like as she is super accessible outside of class and is highly experienced in event management. The textbook is extremely cheap and a light read while the assignments are very doable and not overwhelming. Just keep in mind attendance counts for a quarter of your grade but this class is actually fun to go to.
Allows you to work at your pace. Also, reads and comments on every assignment. This was super helpful. Awesome instructor!
Erin Schneiderman is an awesome professor, she was my first professor when I started my degree and she has continued to be my professor throughout my education journey at ASU. I am currently entering my home stretch in my time at ASU and she is helping me and guiding me with an internship. Best professor ever!
10/10 this class was so easy and soo fun and i was actually interested in what we learned
Erin Schneiderman is one of the best teachers I've had. She actually cares and has so much information for anyone wanting to be in the event industry. I highly suggest taking her classes.
She is one of the best professors I have had. She is well connected and provides opportunities such as site visits. This is a fun class!
Professor Schneiderman is awesome. Took PRM145 to meet my SBL requirement and I even enjoyed the course. Was very interesting to get a look behind the scenes of how an event is constructed and everything that goes into it. Also enjoyed this class for the site visits. Very down to earth professor and cares for your success, 100% recommend.
The course was incredibly organized and informative. Participation is mandatory, and the professor is incredibly empathetic and student-focused. I would recommend taking her course if you are interested in the foundations of events management!
Erin is so kind and wants to help you in anyway she can! Super great professor with a ton of experience and connections! Highly recommend
Awesome class with clear guidelines and plenty time to complete each assignment.
erin was an amazing professor for my internship course, she gave me good feedback on how to execute conversations between my employers to seek opportunities for my next steps in the my current position.
I knew pretty much nothing about sports when I first began this class, but the textbook, lectures, and videos she had available in the weekly modules were very easy for me to follow along, and now I know more about sports! She's very sweet and caring, and it feels like she's passionate about what she teaches, I'd 10/10 recoomend her as a professor!
Loved the class and Professor Schneiderman. I really liked how she always gave feedback in the comments for assignments. That doesn't happen all the time with some professors.
The best professor I have ever had! 100% recommend taking any of her courses, she is so helpful and really wants you to succeed.
Professor Schneiderman seems to really care about her students and works really hard make sure they are getting what they need to be successful in her class.
Their personal experience truly makes this class enjoyable because it shows she really cares about the subject and the success of her students. She has a vast network of connections that will prove useful for assignments within the course and if you want to continue within the event management field.
W prof
Fun class! Assignments were easy to complete!
Erin is AWESOME
Great professor! Good class and good knowledge behind it. She answers emails quickly. Not too much work. I took it as an icourse B session and it was very manageable
Erin was an amazing professor! We took various field trips through out the semester to get real experience in the events field! Absolutely loved the class and learned so much! One group project that is super simple and a final.
Erin is one of the best professors you could have at ASU. It doesn't matter if you need this class as a requirement or as an elective there is something for everyone. There are also a lot of wonderful guest speakers and site visits throughout the class that make this course fun. Erin is very understanding and the coursework is engaging.
Erin is such an amazing professor she really cares for students and the course itself. I recommend you take this course she truly is an amazing professor.
Very friendly, as well as understanding. She clearly knows about the subject of the course and even provided good recommendations on a few matters. I definitely would not be against having her again.
Amazing professor. She grades on time, gives great feedback, and truly values the success of her students. I would definitely take her again! The content was very interesting, and I learned a ton about sports tourism.
I really enjoyed having her. Initially, I was struggling with the second project, but she was caring enough to provide me with suggestions to make it work out. Of course, it did work out.
I love Erin! She is very knowledgeable, and anyone can do well in her class. She really cares about her students and their futures!
Erin is a caring professor that sets students up for success. She is someone that will be in your corner and provide you with the resources you need in order to succeed. If you get the chance take one of her classes; they are fun, engaging and provide opportunities to get involved in the events space.
She's literally amazing, i loved her. ive had her for so many classes and highly highly recommend her to everyone. shes amazing.
If you have the chance take this class. Highly recommend, super easy and overall fun experience.
She's pretty cool.
Once you take her you won't regret it, she is very understanding and easy going. Just communicate with her, she always responds.
Erin's class is a must-take! The assignments are manageable, and she makes learning fun with engaging guest speakers and field trips. Unstuck ai was a lifesaver for my study prep.
She's a really good professor. The workload isn't too much and I enjoyed learning about the 5 different regions of Arizona. She's also available if you need help. I would definitely recommend her for PRM 294
Incredibly kind and willing to help out even outside of the course work material. Absolutely take her she will do everything to make sure you succeed and that you are able to have the resources to find scholarships, internships, etc. The class is also very easy, assignments should not take more than an hour.
I would recommend to anyone interested in tourism and hospitality! Professor Schneiderman is well-connected in the community, and she really cares about her students. Part of the grade is working with a team/planning a real event; the clear expectations and support from her made me feel super prepared for it. I learned a lot!
Easiest HUAD class ever. Highly recommend.
The class I was in was CSM 483. Schneiderman was efficient in grading in a timely matter. The reading was not too much, was able to work at a good pace for summer. She also gave feedback which I greatly appreciate. She was very clear in her course expectations.
Professor Schneiderman is very friendly and gives great advice. This class was for my senior Internship. I also took her Sports Tourism class which I highly recommend!
Amazing professor and only wants the best for her students. If you have a problem, she is quick to reply via email. It was an easy course to take for your senior internship, and she makes her expectations very clear. As long as you do the assignments, you are sure to get a good grade.
Professor Erin is an amazing educator whose passion for teaching truly inspires her students. As a fashion major minoring in Special Event Management, she helped me see how both fields connect and opened my eyes to new career possibilities. She is kind, supportive, quick to respond, and genuinely cares about each student's success!
This course was enjoyable. It also provided a lot of great information. Secondly, if you are not on top of your assignments, it does get complex. However, it was super easy to understand. It was a great experience.
