Great teacher, very helpful and very concise when teaching.
she is the best teacher ever!! she is brilliant and and adorable, i love her! i learned so much
She's a delight! I'm an English major and suck at Biology. I recommend this professor. She had problems controlling the rude freshman, they would be eating and all she did was make faces. She loved discussing off subject (still biology) questions from her students. I was often overwhelmed but she was comforting. TALK TO HER.
She's clear, fair, nice, helpful, and funny at times. You can get an A if you're a Bio major or non-bio major. She mostly gives quizes, but they're not too hard, and she gives your a chance for a re-grade. If you don't make an A in her class, then you probably aren't a very good student.
She explains herself but is still a hard class. She uses words i dont understand and the outside/inside essays are diffcult. I reccomand that if your ok in bio take her but if not....You NEED to study
Hard Class if you dont study!
Don't rely on her lectures. Although you need to attend her lectures, reading the book is the only way to actually understand. My advise: Act as if the lectures are just for testing and seeing the flow of the class. Her quizzes are hard and her essays are even harder.
She is a hard professor but does want you to pass. Essays are hard and the quizzes will make you go "what the?!?" but if you show her you want to pass she'll help you. To boost your grade there are re-grades so don't loss hope.
Im not a bio major and i found this class pretty cool. Her lectures are a drag but if you are doing good in lab and do a little extra reading you will be fine. 10 quizzes. 5 in class essays and 5 outside essays. she is a nice lady. no midterm or final. take her!
This professor is cool and professional. She is friendly, passionate about her subject, and enjoys a warm character. I was there at her class even when I was barley able to walk due to illness because I loved her lectures. She wasn't on the list next semester for 1402. I would have registered for her class.
Not that of a hard class, but requires to do alot of studying. The lab is very tedious. Her powerpoints are very vague, so you might as well just read the book. Her class is based on essays and quizzes. If you're a senior and don't want busy work, dont take this class.
I really liked her teaching style. She wrote everything on the board and used powerpoints as reinforcements. Your grade is based on quizzes and essays which require the book. The good thing is you can get partial credit for the essays. I would definitely recommend this professor.
You do not take test or finals in this class. Its all about essays, and quizzes. The quizzes are very easy since its basically the notes that she writes down on the board. The outside essays are easy since you get to use sources and the in class essay is not that bad. I barely read the textbook and got an A. I highly recommend this professor.
I think she was a great teacher!!! Her powerpoints are just pictures, she writes everything on the board. The quizes are 5 questions and then she has you take the same quiz but in your group. The essays are easy, 2-3 pages, and she isn't a hard grader. Overall it was a very easy class. She does take attendance though. Doesn't care if youre on phone
No tests; her tests are essays (2 in-class and 4 outside) and she doesnt grade hard at all! What I like is that she gives you alot of opportunities to make up grades: for example, she gives 10 quizzes,5 questions each, but lets say you get a 60, she gives you up to 30 points if you submit a short statement on why you got a certain question wrong
She is one of the best biology instructors I've had. She gives in class and out of class essays instead of a final exam. Also, expect a lot of tests. Although her class is a bit challenging, her grading structure makes it easy to make an A. Turning in an essay gives you extra points if on time, tests are done in a group, and there is extra credit.
Erin Louise Schenkel was the most amazing Bio 1 professor I ever had! Yes, her lectures may be long but it's worth it. She gives out no exam! Only In Class (super easy) and outside (most easiest assignments ever!) exams. There is little quizzes of 5 questions and you are in groups to answer them (so be wisely on who you choose). PICK ERIN FOR BIO!
This was a good class but definitely I would prefer another professor. Yes! You don't have tests but instead you have to write essays inside and outside . Those essays are not going to be like in high school ! Be aware of that! Quizzes are easy only if you know the material, if you are the student who expect to pass without notes forget it .
She was very nice and made such an advance class easy. As an undergrad (grads were also taking this class), you had to do 3 very easy presentations and 1 review paper. Your "exams" are 2 essays. Your "finals" are basically 3 lab reports due within a two week span. Make notes on every lab you do, even if it seems insignificant!!! Beware quizzes.
Her class seems intimidating at first but it's actually not that bad. There are many quizzes in her class but she gives extra credit on each quiz! And be ready to spend time for her class! She gives you outside exams and they take a while to write but she still accepts it until the last day of class so it's plenty of time.
Here's the thing, there are several essays that have to be written outside of class; if you turn them in on time you can redo them. If you don't turn them in by the deadline you are not penalized but you can't redo them. That being said, if you know you're the type of person to put things off til the end - don't take this class! Lots of quizzes too
Easy A. She gives 10 quizzes and 4 essays and a lot of extra credit. You can do regrades on all of the quizzes and the essays (as long as their turned in on time). She's a really wonderful professor and really helpful. She also grades leniently so I don't see how someone can fail unless they really aren't putting in the effort.
Easy A. The exams in this class are outside of class essays. There are only 2 in class essays (study and they are easy) There are group quizzes as well, just join with the smart people. write everything she says in class, you will need that info for the essays, as well as the book. super nice teacher, i recommend!
Awesome professor. She gives really good lectures and her expectations are straight-forward. She's organized! Not hard at all if you are willing to try on the essays. She gives lecture-based quizzes and gives you opportunities to raise your grade on those. There is also a chance to raise an essay grade. Would recommend! Got an A in the course.
She's a really good professor. Just do your work and show up to class and you'll be fine.
Gen Bio II HON. Test portion of grade is based on 4 essays on topics covered in class. You get a week to write them, and she more or less outlines everything you need to know for them in lecture, after which some extra things from the book land you an easy A if you're a good writer. The rest of the grade is quizzes and in-class stuff.
She doesn't give extra credit but does give a regrade, where you can correct a question you got wrong.
Her lectures are based off PowerPoints, every week we would have a 5 question quiz over the topic we discussed in lecture. She assigns essays in class and outside class essays there are 4. They aren't too difficult. Make sure you just understand the material taught in class and you'll be fine!
Ms. Schuenzel is a great professor, she loves wbat she does. She made me love Biology agyer hating sciences. You do write essays instead of test, she gives you a week in advance, they are tough if you leave them to the last minute. But these essays help you learn alot and love the material! She also gives afew quizes, on your own and on groups!
Dr. Schuenzels class is actually pretty easy, even if you did not study much (me). Instead of a midterm and final exam we had 3 essays which are around 2-3 pages, and instead of a final exam we took a final essay. Also, you are grades on 10 quizzes and blackboard quizzes where you have multiple tries for the highest grade!
boring professor you essentially only have to show up on mondays for quizzes. there a lot of group work that no one seems to mention, don't take her if you dont like working with others. Exams are essays instead of actual tests
Attendance is not mandatory but the are in class quizzes so as long as you show up for those you are fine. There are 5 essay exams about 5 pages long but she gives you a week to turn them in and as long as you read the chapter and quote correctly you'll do fine. She also lets you do regrades to for the quizzes and the exams.
Took her for Bio 1. Essays instead of exams. Group work. 5 question quiz every week. It's not that bad and I learned a lot from her. She grades hard on the essay exams but you can re-do them as well as 1 question you got wrong on the quiz. She knows her stuff and her class is structured to help you pass. I would take her again.
Dr Schuenzel makes you work for it, but you will learn in this class.
You can get an A, but lots of busy work, quizzes, and essays. Need to go to class to get participation points, take quizzes individually and in groups, and notes to take in class each lecture. Dr Schuenzel is nice and loves what she does. Between lab and lecture, can be a high maintenance class.
4 Outside-Essays; She grades tough on those. If you're not good at writing, don't bother taking this class. You can only re-do 1 essay if you turn it in on time. 10 quizzes; She lets you re-do all of them. 2 InClass-Essays; Good luck on those, seriously you'll need it. Attendance isn't mandatory but I HIGHLY recommend you go to class. Lots of work!
So there are 4 outside essay exams instead of actual exams which are not as difficult as many say. Just write down the notes she gives you and use your textbook. There is quite a bit of group work. The work is not difficult, it is just quite a bit of work.
She is a wonderful professor! Gives many extra credit opportunities. She even allows you to regrade everything except the in class essays. Her exams are in essay format. I found the biology lab class difficult, that was the main reason why I did not receive an A in her class. Other than it being an 8 am class, it was great.
This professor was awesome! Her lectures are clear but long and the essays have clear instructions. The book is needed. Re-grades on everything except in-class essays. Quizzes are really easy if you write the notes down that she provides by writing on the board. I got an A and I would take this professor again
Dr. Schuenzel is a great professor for lecture. Her exams are all essays and students can use their notes, and the book to do them. There's two in class essays and one quiz per week. There are online quizzes to take. She gives the opportunity to regrade your assignments.
Really good and passionate professor. In replacement of tests, you are required to do 4 outside essays and 2 in class essays in the span of the semester. MUST go to class for lectures to pass her weekly quizzes and attendance, but overall you should be able to get an A/B in her class. There are regrades (basically extra credit opportunities) too.
A knowledgeable professor who displays passion for biology- but what a lot of reviewers dont tell you was how harsh she is at grading essays. If you arent the slightest bit great at writing essays I would recommend another professor. Her weekly quizzes were difficult too as a lot of students would fail them. Just be advised!
DO NOT take this class if you are bad at writing essays! All the 2 in-class and the 4 outside-class exams including the final are essays, ONLY use the text book for them. Anyways, she's always smiling with a positive attitude and gives good lectures. Always copy her notes, will be useful. Study hard because there's a quiz every Monday.
You will do many essays in this class. About 6 essays, 2 inside essays and 4 outside essays. She is lecture heavy professor and for me it was very boring. Almost always fell asleep. (maybe because im a high school student though) Writing down everything she has on her powerpoint and what she writes doesn't always help. Look through the book too.
Dr. Schuenzel's BIOL1406 and BIOL1407 classes are essentially the same criteria. Writing down notes during her lecture is an important aspect to passing her almost weekly quizzes. Essays replace tests which I personally enjoyed. She is a great professor and there is much to learn with her!
She is a good professor she writes all the notes on the board during class. All the notes are exactly what you need for test, quizzes, and lab. She doesn't do test instead she does essays, she is lenient with formatting however she grades them harsh. Overall I think she is one of the better professors at the school.
Took her for Bio lab but never once met her. Whole lab is taught by a TA who incompetent, rude and entitled. TA will show up to lab 10-15 minutes late and makes sure the class knows her time is more valuable than yours. Always has prior commitments that restrict her from grading or having office hours. Not the TA's fault the prof could care less.
Prof is never in lab and whole class is taught by a TA. One TA could honestly care less about you or the class. She regularly made it clear she had no time to deal with emails or office hours. Guidance in the lab is non existent and she never comes prepared. Once she showed up 10 minutes late had to call campus police because she lost her key card.
Shes never in class and has ridiculous grading criteria. Refuses to fix problems she has created and throws her TAs in the deep end. Class is taught by her TAs. Avoid Laas at all costs. Both she and her TA are incompetent. Dont take this class if you dont have to. Consider taking it at STC.
Cant talk about her objectively bc shes never in class. Her TA is an extension of her and its absolutely tragic. Disrespectful. Constantly tardy, but has the audacity to take points off students for being late. 20 mins late to midterm and 30 minutes late to class. Unprofessional. Doesnt even wear proper PPE for lab. Dont take this class. Ever.
Dont even bother, this teacher doesnt care about you and just collects the checks. Doesnt even show up to class. Save yourself the time and money and take this with a different professor. Her TAs teach the whole class which is sad bc they dont know what theyre doing. Please dont take this class.
If a person can do a MidTerm & Final Exam in 30 minutes, 40 questions, & having to type in most levels of phylogeny tree with scientific names. Most in the class couldn't do it. I did 36 on MT & 32 Final. Usually am an A & B student barely got a C! Don't take her she don't belong teaching!!
Worst professor ever, she is super rude. During this pandemic shed assign a bunch of HW that took 3-5hrs for an hour Lab class, apparently unaware that we have other classes and lives outside the university. She doesnt teach at all, you basically do it yourself but retain nothing. Midterm and final are open ended just to make it harder on us.
Prepare yourself to do A LOT of homework. Her test grades are based on essays you'll write. The essays are graded ridiculously hard. You'll have timed essays also where you don't know the topic, which I find ridiculous too. Her class is manageable, if you choose her, make sure stay on top of things and look at the lectures.
Don't take this class Extremely ridiculous the work load 5-8 assignments each week and its just busy-work that takes for ever. I had to draw 30+ organisms and for what? I didn't learn anything. Requires Smartbook. Some assignments don't make any sense but if you mess up it's your fault Pray you get a good TA if you take this class
Ok, so even though she gives like 6-8 assignments a week she does it in the hopes that we retain the information in intervals. I took biology 1 lecture with her and she is really nice! Her essays are tough, need to be about 3 pages. Quizzes are so tough, but she will add points at the end of semester. Honestly, she's not as bad as people say she is
I had this professor for biology 2 lab and the workload is the usual lab exercise, prelab, post lab quiz, and participation points to do. there was a set date before the midterm and final to turn in assignments so we could work on it at our own pace. overall a very good class you can learn a lot of stuff midterm and final are open ended so STUDYY
Dr. Scheunzel is a tough professor, her exams are open ended but the questions are fairly easy if you study her reviews. She gives a lot of homework, but it is doable. It is given that would have to study for this course, and if you study well you are guaranteed an A. I did take her class asynchronous so attendance was not mandatory.
I would truly not recommend this professor to anyone that is taking multiple classes or anyone who likes a professor who is responsive. She never replies to my emails and has never gone to a lab to even introduce herself. Her class is definitely not impossible but I would rather have a tough class with a professor who cares.
Her grading and the way she operates the classroom is so odd. She talks to undergraduates like they're Phd students. She'll talk about enzymes and somehow turn enzymes into a military conversation. Such an odd professor. However, if you do bad on the quizzes, you do have a redo. Same for the exams (if turned in on time).
Dr. Schuenzel is a really good professor. she gives you a total of 4 essays on fairly easy subjects if you understand your notes and do a little background searching on the topic. she is fair and allows redo for everything. if you simply do your work and try you can get a B but if you push yourself a little extra you'll get the A
Had to show up to lab to receive your weekly participation points. Quizzes and lab assignments were easy and the lab TA would give answers, usually. She only graded the literature review and bibliography, plus the 2 exams. Class was attendance points, participation points, quizzes, exercises, midterm, final and literature review. DO PRACTICE TEST!!
Class not taught by Erin but by a TA, so your experience is pretty much dependent on who your TA is. This lab was structured like any other one, with pre-labs, post-labs, weekly homework, and participation points + a bibliography project. Instructions were sometimes unclear for participation points. do the practice tests for midterm and final!!!!
Dr. Schuenzel is great. I had her for lab, so we never saw her. She would do lectures on zoom before going to the lab which helped a lot. She would also do an additional lecture on Fridays which helped on assignments. Mid-term and final was in person.
Professor was never in class and was never available. It seemed like she almost ignored students emails? Luckily the TA was very helpful and motivating. She does not like to give feedback either. Everything you really need will be on blackboard, so the class was not impossible, however she failed as a professor
Terrible! Just chose another one. Her quizzes are the hardest and you are expected to learn all terms and bacteria's names and domain and kingdom and everything. She was never in labs and just had TAs. Its too much work for a lab and you have pre lab zooms and post lab zooms. She makes the class harder than it is.
AVOID THIS PROFESSOR AT ALL COSTS. She is insensitive about family deaths, serious illness, etc. She is rude and grades harshly.
I took her for bio 1407 lab and man was it bad. She was never there. She would work from home and have her TA's do everything. The class was easy and rating would be better if I could rate the TA instead. She didn't care for excuses at all so don't bother with deaths or covid.
She is the worst! I have her for Lab and she does not even know her terms right. Her class is all over the place and every week you have about 7 items due. Her exams are a nightmare. You have to memorize every class, phylum, subphylum, etc. and she just laughs about it, like it's either you know it or you don't.
I had Dr. Schuenzel for 2 labs, this course and also microbiology lab. She is an awesome lab professor. Her lectures and reviews prepare you for midterms and finals to a T, which a lot of other biology professors unfortunately don't do. She gives a lot of extra credit opportunity at the end of the semester also!
This class was a little difficult, lots of homework and class but all given a week to do, so plenty of time. Very blunt email replies but nonetheless she was accessible outside of the class. The TA made lab super enjoyable. Tests were super difficult if you didn't study, she does give study guides. Extra credit given at the end of the semester.
Don't take her if you're not ready to put time aside for her class. I did fairly well in her class for not 100% understanding the concepts. She was funny and would try to keep the conversation going. The work load is manageable She gives 4 long essays like 5-6 pages.
This lady is so difficult. So many notes and so much material. 5 question quizzes. Tough grader on essay exams. She teaches in layman's terms but tests you in scientific terms. Only her and the textbook are correct!!!! No one else! She is making this very challenging for no good reason and she makes you do group quizzes. The labs are worse.
Horrible professor. Extremely hard to get in contact with and does not care when it comes to family matters and not being able to show up for an exam or class in general. Never once did she show up to class, everything was taught by the TA. I would not recommend taking her at all.
She wasn't really ever in lab, it was run by the TA and she was okay, kind of monotone. Dr. Schuenzel does post video lectures that you are expected to see outside of class. There is a lot of lab assignments some easy but the drawings are time consuming. Her lab practicals are a nightmare and require a ton of memorization.
I took Professor Schuenzel's lab for 1407 but I had a TA. I think the TA you get is important. My TA was pretty fair. Sign-in sheet for attendance, lots of specimen drawings, prelab & post-lab quiz for each class (no lockdown). Midterms & finals aren't weighted heavily instead lab & bibliography assignments (5 summaries of published papers).
She is not teaching the lab, for us, there was a TA. Each Monday and Friday a zoom meeting was organized to discuss the prelab and post-lab. I recommend you watch those since the meeting is detailed on what to do and also read the PowerPoint.
I was so scared to take Bio, but schuenzel was straight to the point and super organized. ALL the assignments and tests are in the syllabus, she won't surprise you with pop quizzes or anything. She allows regrades for essays and quizzes which helped a lot and aren't due til the end of the semester. She grades fairly and is not too strict on it.
I had her for Biology 1401 fall semester. She assigned a fair amount of work it wasn't overwhelming. Her grading was fair and she was pretty clear about what she wanted when it came to the assignments and essays. She offers lots of extra credit opportunities and even drops your lowest grade at the end of the semester. I recommend taking her class
SHe was very straightforward with her lectures and always gave the opportunity for regrades.
This class is not as hard as people make it out to be, however, the exams are very difficult. Some days you might have 6 items due on Monday, but its not too hard. This class shouldn't be your first option but if you have no other options take this class. The whole class was thought was a TA and Dr. Schuenzel was never available outside of class.
I took her for Biology 1 and 2 because she is great at lecturing. Her notes are super helpful and she makes sure you understand difficult concepts but there are NO tests only quizzes and 4 major essays. The essays have long criteria but are not due right away you have mostly all semester to work on them but they are super time consuming.
Her personality on zoom was nice but her emails not so much very straightforward and sometimes blunt so beware I would avoid emailing her had her for lab she will go over the pre lab and lab exercises to help make lab less stressful if you want to communicate and have the most pleasant experience please wait until after the end of your zoom meeting
I had her for lab and she goes over the exercises and pre labs over zoom which is super helpful. She gives you a list of everything that will be on the exam, so as long as you study that you'll be good. There is a mini paper that is most of your grade but it isn't hard. Notebook assignments were meticulous.
I had her for lab and it was really just about getting your assignments done. We had small assignments to do after every lab, a literature review, and a midterm and final. Biology is hard as it is but in this lab it is possible to get an A without even knowing what is going on. She also gives you the answers on a lot of these assignments.
CORRECTION:I had her for lab and it was really just about getting your assignments done. We had small assignments to do after every lab, a literature review, and a midterm & final. Biology is hard as it is but in this lab it is possible to get an A without even knowing what is going on. She also gives you the answers on a lot of these assignments.
I took Bio 1406 and 1407. Four essays through the semester with the exact criteria. There are also 10 quizes and some participation quizes that will help you. So much extra credit you can use to pass. Although the textbook can be avoid it really help with the essays and quizs but it kind of expensive. Overall, a great and enthusiastic professor.
Took Dr. Schuenzel for lab. She does zoom meetings each Monday and Friday going over pre-lab and post-lab assignments and answers the questions along with the class so make sure to watch the recordings! Exams are like the study guides and practice test. The in-person lab can be super easy depending on what TA you get.
I took her for Bio 2 lecture, she gives 2 in class essay exams in which she gives the prompt and 5 minutes to read over anything to answer, after that everything needs to be put away. She gives 4 outside essay exams in which she does not clearly elaborate what she wants, and is such a tough grader. The only ones correct are the textbook and her.
Expect lots of essays in this class for exams and Hw. Her instructions for the essays are not clear and she then takes off points for things that weren't specified. Tough grader gives little to no feedback on why she took points off. Attendance is grade, bc she'll do in class participation activities for grade. Avoid if you want to save your GPA!!!
I don't know why she has so many good reviews, but please do not take her if you want an A. This course was beyond difficult. If you're working, even part time, and attending school full-time, you won't have the time to complete all the assignments nor the extra credit. She's a tough grader and the exams are all essays.
Dr. Schuenzel is a good professor, her class consists of 4 essay written exams. However, she does allow you to use all lecture notes to write your essay AND you can use information from the textbook. The book isn't mandatory but it was helpful for a few essays. Attendance matters! This class wasn't easy but getting an A isn't impossible!
Great biology professor, very passionate about what she teaches and includes some humor in her lectures. There are a total of 10 quizzes, 2 in-class essay exams, and 4 outside essay exams. You are allowed to do corrections for your quizzes and outside essays, and online lectures are available. Not hard to get an A/B.
She was a great professor; she writes notes during her lectures. There are no tests in class, but there are 4 essays which count as the tests. The grading criteria for the essays are clear. If you turn in essays on time, she gives you a chance to submit a regrade. If essays are not turned in on time, there is no point deduction.
Took her for lab, omg so much work its like 7 different items due every week plus papers. I would not take this one for lab; avoid at all costs.
She was only my lab instructor and had a T.A. for the physical lab but would lecture on Fridays via zoom. I actually enjoyed learning from her and wished I had taken the lecture too. Her course consists of a lot of homework and she allowed redos and makeups if you didn't get the grade you wanted the first time. She also offers extra credit :)
This lady is whack, her lectures are all over the place. She thinks she's a scientist or something goes on rants about weird things. Boring class overall
Horrible teacher. Do not take. She has a condescending attitude towards her students and if that wasnt enough, her lecture notes barely have any info so you have to search everything up. When you read this in the future during registration, i am actually begging you not to take her, she really is that bad and shouldnt be "teaching" a college class.
I usually dont do this but i felt like i should warn prospective students who want to take her. Erin is definitely knowledgeable in her works but she is not suited to be a teacher. She isnt good at teaching and doesnt have enough content on her slides so going to class is a must. Overall, this class was definitely harder than a&p1 imo...
I love biology but this professor made me dread going to class ! She would mostly talk about her research works and made lecture unbearable. Not only that she's very rude when you try and ask her something whether in person or through email. Take someone else who actually wants to be a professor and doesn't just want the title
This class has a heavy workload, with lots of essays and assignments due every week. The professor is a tough grader, but attendance is important, and the textbook can be helpful for some essays. Unstuck study proved a useful study tool alongside the lecture notes.
worst lab ive ever taken DROP HER DROP EHR LAB HER LECTUREEVERYTHING
DO NOT fall for these FAKE positive reviews DO NOT take her class DO NOT believe this propaganda i bet the professor herself wrote these FAKE POSITIVE REVIEWS report her because who ever hired her NEEDS TO GET FIRED ASWELL this isnt a lab THIS IS ENSLAVEMENT she had me working on a ESSAYS I DIDNTY KNOW I SIGNED UP FOR ENLGLISH INSTEAD ON BIO LAB
This teacher cares for no one other than herself. She is here for the title of being a professor rather than actually doing her job yet somehow makes it ridiculously difficult to get a good grade. If you want an entitled "professor" then here you go.
for bio majors, you will be forced through the torture that is Bio informatics lab, kicking and screaming. Three "exams" that take hours to complete with VERY specific requirements. If you don't do things EXACTLY her way, prepare to suffer. She is infamous for being a bad prof. don't bother trying to get an A. She also has a staring problem.
Absolutely horrible professor. Extremely disrespectful inside and outside of class. Treats you like a first grader and is extremely arrogant since you don't know the subject. Never kept up with our TA, even they had a hard time ever being able to reach her. Convinced she's a professor solely for the title, not for educating. AVOID IF POSSIBLE.
It is extremely hard to contact her since she never replies to emails or her office hours.
Worst lab professor I've ever had the displeasure of taking. She never communicated expectations, only cared about herself, never EVER answered her emails, was rude in general, never even got to see her in person, among other things. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!! Somebody fire her, please.
I took BIOL 1407 Lab with her as the instructor. The in-class professor was pretty cool, but Ms. Schuenzel had us read a lot of papers and write reviews; she even had us write a review on our peers' reviews. Hard on grading grammar, spelling, etc (30% of grade). Lots of artwork, easy homework, and difficult exams, but they were ony 10% of the grade
This class requires so much and she is not great at giving clear outlines. I felt very lost in class and would constantly ask questions only to be answered in very passive aggressive tones, indicating I should already know what I am asking about. Quizzes are worth the majority of your grade and she structures them in very difficult ways.
Dont take this prof ever seriously worst prof ever , she makes us do so much research shes just upset that students dont want to go into research
