great professor, very helpful when you have questions, so patient.
Pro:Good teacher, young, helpful, Cons: Extremely hard final (2012W)sometime makes mistakes on powerpoint
An extremely patient teacher who is very energetic during her lectures! She tries to explain things using simple examples you can relate to!
Lectures were deeply uninteresting.
She made chemistry a fun subject, and i enjoyed learning about it even though it was a less interesting subject.
I thought she was a great professor and because of her I passed chemistry and kept my interest in the subject.
Made concepts more confusing then they had to be. The textbook saved me.
great profmade chem 201 so much easier! definitely go to every lectures of hers! very helpful!
Always make mistakes giving notes and correcting them the next class. gets flustered when questions are asked. Makes things overly complicated
tries really hard, but she's not a teacher material at all. jumping between lecture slides, and it's better off to learn from text book and online resources that are provided.TAs are helpful.. there lots to learn in 357 tho, she's prob just overwhelmed by it and doesn't know where to start. extremely poor organizing skill. worst i have seen
Extremely disorganized in her teaching. Power point slides have no useful information. She encourages you to go to her class by posting lecture templates missing a lot of information. Then skims through them really fast during lecture so you have no time to copy it down. Simply put, over enthusiastic but lack in clarity and not helpful at all.
Lecture templates = terrible idea
She's an awesome prof! Really enthusiastic, young, relatable, and she tries really hard to make chem exciting. I had 0 interest in the course before, but after taking it with her, that's changed. Go to her office hours -- she really wants to help all her students learn!
She is incredibly disorganized. Not only are the lecture notes useless, they provide no real information on how to solve exam type questions. Her lectures have almost zero value, and an half empty lecture room is indicative of this. Students have complained throughout the semester but she won't change anything...very frustrating prof!
She has a very condescending demeanor. She has enthusiasm for the course, but she is not a good teacher. For a pHd, I'm surprised she can't pronounce tertiary.
She is really friendly and patient, you can find her at almost any hour of any day. Her slides can become a bit messy but if you're playing attention you should be writing your own notes anyways. Any reviews that say they skipped classes and thought the slides were messy are because of that.
Professor Sullivan is friendly and kind but she can not teach whatsoever.Ochem has a LOT of difficult concepts that require time and diligence when explained, neither of which Sullivan had.She rushes through complicated material. I taught myself the entire course through online videos- its pathetic considering how much the course costs.
She has a degree of chem or fishing?Absolutely useless. She was freaked out by amount of material she have to cover. Please do us a favor and stick with intro chem courses.
Chem 201, the course has very simple topics. However, Dr. Sullivan made these topics very very unclear. To do well on the midterms do practice midterms. The final was extremely difficult, but still a very fair test. So in order to do well with Sullivan, do the practice midterms and study like crazy for the final and getting an A is possible.
She is easily one of the most disorganized professors at the University. She actually manages to make a few concepts more difficult than they actually are. She is enthusiastic but it is pointless if she cant teach well. All that said I still did fairly well in the class but I think that is more related to the course it self not being to difficult.
Course itself is not overly difficult. Sullivans lectures were not very clear and she often would have corrected lecture notes posted after to correct mistakes in the original lecture notes (which you need to print- fill in the blanks so cant keep up in class). Not an awful prof, but not fantastic either.
She's extremely unorganized. Makes mistakes, has messy lectures slides and led the whole class astray many times. I had her for CHEM 201 as well and thought the same. If you have the option, go to a different lecture section.
She is a decent teacher, and keeps me motivated. I would recommend her.
Very disorganized and borderline unprofessional. (Wore a shirt that exposed her stomach and lower back whilst invigilating for the final. Not sure what that was about.) Messy writing/lecture slides. Made mistakes frequently. Was unable to answer questions about labs. Actually taught some flawed theories regarding E1/E2 rxns. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Lecture templates are a horrid idea, and her notes are quite vague. I used my high school nites to study, because they were more useful.
The prof isn't bad. Usually when you ask her a question she is able to answer it fine. The format of the course is awful, but that's expected with any chemistry course at this university. Lecture templates are dumb, the textbook is practically useless, and I even find the course useless to most engineer departments that are required to take it.
Sullivan is one the worst professors I've every had, ochem is a difficult course but pair that with sullivan and you're screwed. Her powerpoints are useless and at best provide a barely superficial knowledge of the material. I learnt the whole course online from other resources.
Dr. Sullivan does a great job at teaching a lot of material in a difficult course to a bunch of engineers who have no interest in organic chemistry. While her lecture slides caused a lot of frustration for some people, I can't think of any teaching style that would be more effective given the nature of the course.
Dr Sullivan is very helpful in smaller settings (after class, in her office), however I didn't love the lecture templates and found we sped through a lot of material that we needed a more in-depth knowledge of. Don't buy the textbook, it didn't help to explain any material, so useless.
Aside from what everyone else thinks, I think Sullivan is a great first year Chem prof. I recommend you go to every lecture only because she does cover a lot in a lecture but other than that she's pretty good at explaining concepts with clarity and she continuously refers back to previous concepts (refreshing your memory) while teaching new stuff
For a 200 lvl course, it was easy in her class. She explains concepts clearly and uses everything to get a concept through. Does quite a few tophat questions in every class, but its good to get practise right away. For a prof with so many students, I was surprised she knows my name. I havent really talked to her. Cool. Takin her class next semester
Her teaching style doesn't work with my learning style. Hate fill in the blank notes, especially for chem. Hard to keep concepts organized. Would like less words and more examples. Felt she wasted time explaining things that didn't need explaining and skipped over harder concepts. A little patronizing at times. Does put in a lot of effort though.
Sullivan is definitely involved and fun. She REALLY likes her Top Hat, so class attendance is a must! I find her notes very helpful, as long as you're paying attention.
Dr. Sullivan is very enthusiastic about everything she teaches in this course, and is very good at teaching concepts and terms that will be on exams and on tests in tutorials. You can tell she is very passionate about what she teaches, because it shows in her communication to the lecture, but also to students outside of the lecture hall.
Had her for CHEM201 and loved it so thought she would be great for CHEM351, was very wrong. Might have been good for simple chemistry but organic chemistry is clearly too complex to be taught by her. Unorganized lecture slides, unclear explanations and responses to students. Horrible writing. Miracle I passed.
shes very nice and means well but her lectures are useless! I learned the whole class off the internet
Dr. Sullivan is obsessed with Top Hat and they're for marks! Attendance is necessary if you want to pass the course. She is a nice lady and good lecturer but this course is full of notes and drawings, they can be tough...
Very good Lecturer
Dr. Sullivan is an excellent lecturer. She knows her stuff and will go to endless lengths to help you understand what you need to know. Print off her lecture templates and fill them in during class, read over those notes, and you'll be fine.
Erin Sullivan is an amazing teacher! She is very understanding and is willing to help when needed! definitely recommend!
She is a really good prof, knows her stuff and makes you work hard which is a good thing.
Dr. Erin shows passion for chemistry and wants her students to really get it as well. She is willing to help. Exams can be tricky but sample exams are given. She cares to know you if you engage in class participation. Lectures have a slow pace and slides to fill in
Dr. Sullivan is an okay professor, but her teaching style is very abstract. Instead of covering material appropriately, she asks TopHat questions, as if expecting students to already know the content. Some of the tutorials test material you haven't seen in lecture yet, and some labs are very long. She really cares about her students though.
amazing teacher! goes out of her way to help students!
She has so much passion towards what she teaches. Though the course is tough, you'll definitely pass if you actually try your best by showing up to lectures and listening. Furthermore, there is much practice available with the assigned questions in the text (barely needed) and doing the practice tests posted online. The tests were really easy too!
Erin is so passionate about what she teaches. She goes through material very slowly so if you don't have a clue what's going on, she has your back
Sullivan is a very nice prof, she's always there to help if you're in need. Lectures are really long sometimes but she explains it carefully and her notes are pretty great.
Erin is a very nice and approachable prof. I would not hesitate to ask her a question or send an email. She is prompt with her emails. Chem courses at u of c are all very well laid out. If you can you should find a friend who took the course last and get some help with labstutorials (they dont seem to change the questions). Get a used textbook.
very approachable. definitely my best prof this semester. seems very passionate about what she's teaching and always tries to explain every topic in different ways so everyone can understand. would recommend
Really helpful if you go to her office hours. Seems to care about her students. Replies to emails quickly. I would definitely recommend taking this course with her.
Dr. Sullivan is always enthusiastic about chemistry and teaches the subject very well. Her notes are very well detailed and I never had to open my textbook. Whenever I had trouble with anything, her office hours were very convenient and she's always very helpful. Highly recommend her for 201.
She posts lecture slides online and expects you to print them off and fill them in as you follow along in class. If you are a learner who needs to write down your own notes you'll be rushed to take notes in her class. She rushes through topics so study hard! Lots of tophat questions in class. The exams aren't worth much but are tough!
Chem 201 with Sullivan was the best chem experience I've had so far. So helpful, always available to talk to, notices when students are struggling and re-explains concepts so they are understood by everyone. Lectures a little heavy on Top Hat, but template slides are good.
Only profesor that I looked forward to visiting her office hours, she genuinely cares about your success! Easy person to talk to, great Prof. Knows the material inside out.
She's just the best. Get ready for tophat central, she loves it.
Enthusiastic and gives interesting lectures. Overall a great prof
Great prof and gives amazing lectures that are very helpful if you're attentive in class. Stay on top of your work because most topics are an extensions of each other and the course is fast paced. Be prepared for tutorials and know your stuff before hand, this will make the tutorial quizzes extremely easy. Work hard and get help when needed.
Sullivan is a great prof - fill-in-the-blank lecture slides were great, although it means you definitely need to go to class. Always responds to emails promptly and is very helpful when you go to her office. Clearly cares if her students do well! Top hat heavy.
She's a good teacher, has fill-in lecture slides that cover topics simply but in-depth. To fill those in, you have to attend her lectures. Uses top-hat frequently. Course is fast paced. Prepare for tutorials before, as they don't explain the material covered in the quiz later on very well. Tests are basic and cover mainly stuff learned in class.
Dr. Sullivan is a super great prof! It is pretty necessary to attend all lectures though with how her notes are. She's very involved inside and outside the class with Chem 201. She's clearly very passionate about what she teaches too and cares about people's success in her classes.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS IF CHEM 30 IS NOT FRESH IN YOUR HEAD. Going into this class it is assumed you remember everything. Dr. Sullivan is a good prof and sets you up to do well, however she does not review or explain what things mean. She just jumps right into concepts without any background.
Eric Sullivan is a good prof and passionate about chemistry. She will try to get you to switch your major to chem. Weaknesses include brushing over important concepts, and unclear grading criteria.
AMAZING! She is super nice and is engaging with her class. She makes the material understandable and makes it seem simple. You have to work for it but she is doing the absolute best she can in the lectures. Attendance is not mandatory but I would strongly recommend it. Take it with Sullivan. Shes great.
An excellent professor. She is always there to help, comes to every review session that the school hosts even though they are on her weekends, easy to approach when you need extra help, gives in depth answers and will sit with you and give pointers if you are really confused. Do the TOPHAT and practice questions absolutely critical to one's success
She's nice, allows you to get bonus marks on term tests. Is way too tophat heavy, expect at least 5 tophat questions per class. Only posts templates on D2L, so you need to go to lectures to get the notes.
She's an alright Prof. Sometimes she talks really fast, and can't get the point across.
Is an overall good prof. Make sure you DO NOT SKIP LECTURES! also, DO NOT SKIP LECTURES! recommend getting and skimming the textbook, but is not necessary to pass. Uses a lot of in-class Tophat questions. Print out the notes for her class as she will go through her notes far too quickly for you to physically copy them during class/lecture.
Dr Sullivan is a very compassionate and caring teacher. She is always happy to help during office hours. Her printed notes are just templates that must be filled in, so don't miss lectures. This prof makes them seem simple. You will get an A if you put in the effort. Highly recommend!
I was terrified to go into a university chem class being that I barley made it out of chem 30, but Dr. Sullivan made chemistry make sense. She goes through the notes and writes them with you so you're not rushing to keep up. Would definitely take this class again.
Dr. Sullivan was the best prof I had in university. She really cares about her students and is always there to help. Her notes are very organized, and she makes lectures fun as she is very enthusiastic. I only used the textbook for practice questions as her fill in the blank notes and lectures were enough to understand the material. Amazing prof.
She goes quickly but explains things well. She also uses tophat a lot but does a really good job going over why the correct answer is right and why all the other answers are wrong. You have to come to class to do well. She's very nice and approachable
Was a very nice person but the class was quite difficult and not much time was spent on the tricky concepts
Dr. Sullivan was really hard to understand. Her lectures were really cluttered. She skips past a lot of definitions and goes straight into questions that are normally curveballs that no one can get right. She gave us tons of really confusing analogies that made our understanding worse. She's a hard professor if you didn't take AP Chemistry.
Sullivan is very knowledgeable about chemistry and while she does cover material very quickly, if you attend all lectures and stay on top of your notes you should be able to follow along. She does have a tendency to ask TopHat questions on specific things that haven't been explicitly taught yet, but she explains afterwards.
I have only good things to say about Dr. Sullivan's Chem 201 course. I found Dr. Sullivan to be incredibly helpful, extremely accessible outside of class, always friendly and patient. More importantly, the course seemed like it was designed to facilitate student success, there were many opportunities for extra learning (tutorial +, review sessions)
Even though I hate chemistry (It was a requirement), Dr. Sullivan was one of my favourite professors this semester. She chats with the front row before class every time, and is just a really wonderful person overall. Just a note, please print off her lecture slides before class and write over them during, her notes make a lot more sense that way.
If you work hard enough, good grade since she is a decent prof and tests are not overly difficult if you study. Attendance is a must because of TopHat questions, but if you sit beside your friend(s) or study a little beforehand, TopHat is also an easy mark. It could replace one of the worst tutorial grade. I recommend going to her office hours too!
There is a lot of tophat, but it helps. If you study for the exams they are super easy to pass. She actually wants you to succeed which is sometimes rare. My favorite professor that I have ever had.
Dr. Sullivan was probably one of the best profs Ive ever had. She made lectures very straightforward. Although missing a lecture can really keep you behind on material its worth going to lectures. The midterms and finals are exactly like her practise questions. She really cares about her students and teaches in a very engaging manner!
Amazing teacher, such a sweet woman that truly cares. I honestly loved her and she answered a lot of questions during class and during office hours. She made chem easy and actually fun so 10/10 would recommend
I loved her! She is literally the sweetest teacher so I really enjoyed her class. Going to her office hours and asking questions was no problem she made it easy to set a day. She gives great questions and gives you enough time to do them and ask questions while she walks around.
For the one person who said that this class is hard if you didn't take AP Chemistry. This class is at least 10 times easier than AP Chemsitry in addition to Dr. Sullivan being a good professor. If you are going to comment on the difficulty of class maybe take it first.
I truly am grateful to have taken Chem 201 with Dr. Sullivan. Her notes are impeccable, her delivery is clear, and the exams are fair. Also, she always makes time for students, even outside her office hours. And she has an adorable dog. Best professor ever!
Amazing prof! If you work hard you can get an A. Very few tricks in testing. Lots of Tophat but she makes it fun. They arent made to confuse you and anger you because you dont quite know how to tackle them Theyre made to prepare you for new concepts and to show you how difficult for each person they are. Then the concepts are explained in depth.
Dr. Sullivan is one of the best profs I've had. Really good at explaining concepts, so make sure you go to all the lectures. Even skipping one class can put you behind. Tutorials helped a lot unlike 203, in my opinion. Tests are identical to the ones posted, so do those too.
Wow, this class is so much better than 203. Sullivan is kind, easy to talk to, wants you to succeed, answers emails fast, and does not try to trick you every chance she gets. Tutorials and labs are actually helpful, and the criteria is clear for the most part. Final and midterms were on was exactly what we learned. She is my new favourite prof!!
Great Prof. Take notes, study, and hand in your work and you should get an A no problem. Everything is clear and presented in an interesting and well-organized manner. The course itself is less math-based and more about theory and visualization. Nothing like Carpenter's CHEM203 lectures. She should learn from Sullivan and her god-like teaching.
Really great professor, cared a lot about the material she taught and an inspiration, really brought up the enthusiasm for chemistry. 10/10 would recommend Provides ample amounts of office hours that if you go to every session, there is no reason why you wouldn't get an A in this class. Compared to 203, 201 with Sullivan is a pleasant surprise.
She cares a lot about how students do. She has lots of office hours and she usually gives good feedback. Comparing his course to 203, 201 is easier and not much of hard work is required. Overall she is a good prof but I found YouTube to be the most helpful in my case.
Dr Sullivan gave lots of examples in her lectures, extremely kind and accessible outside of class. Always willing to help. The topics of 201 are not hard as long as you go to class and do the practice she presents in class.
Dr sullivan is one of the greatest profs I've ever had for Chemistry. She was very enthusiastic to what she was teaching. She was loud if she wanted to get a very important concept across the classroom. She also worked on many examples that helped me for the midterm as well as her lecture slides which were simply amazing.
Shes a great professor! Shes very passionate and knowledgeable in her field. She makes lecture slides that are clear and concise including many examples and practice questions. Shes available during office hours and willing to make alternate times for you. Her feedback is useful and she makes sure you leave with a better understanding.
Amazing prof, but she was a little cheesy. In this course, if you haven't taken any AP chem courses in high school, a lot of it will be new and challenging at first, but she gives tons of resources for practice
I took this class in Fall 2017 and I'm honestly still impressed how much of the material has stuck with me. I have even used some of the notes from this class to solidify the fundamentals while preparing for my CHEM 351 midterm. It was such a great introduction to university level chemistry. Sullivan's notes are fantastic.
Erin Sullivan knows how to teach and she cares about her students. Funny and caring, she really made chem 201 a good time.
Dr Sullivan is a great lecturer who genuinely cares about her students and wants them to do well. Her lecture notes style took a while to get used to, and once you fall behind it's pretty hard to catch up. She's really helpful during her office hours too.
Explains the difficult topics of chem 201 in a clear and concise way. Uses top hat, attend lectures
Posts the best lecture notes ever. If you miss a class its not a problem because you can go through exactly what was done in lecture try the examples out yourself then compare them to the posted notes. Labs and tutorials perfectly correlated with the course so you knew what you needed to review more.
Always responded to emails/inquiries within a day. She was very involved with her students and made the content as simple and clear as possible.
Let's be honest here, the Chemistry program at the University of Calgary is god awful. However with Professor Sullivan it was really enjoyable and she made it quite easy for us! Best prof in Chem department tbh.
She tries her best to ensure that everyone in the class succeeds. But her lecture notes are hard to follow and she over complicates basic concepts. Her D2L shell is flooded with information that are useful but very hard to navigate. Prepare to spend extra time organizing and then trying to understand the content.
I absolutely love Sullivan, I think she teaches very well. Very skilled in teaching and can get even hard concepts across easily. Her powerpoint slides make sense but make sure to attend class or else the content might get confusing. Really easy to ask questions to. Overall she prepares you well or ochem
Erin Sullivan was lovely. Always explained things very clearly and kept my attention throughout the semester. Awesome notes that really made me love chem. Uses tophat. Clear on what learning objectives will be on the exam. Attendance is mandatory if you want to truly understand stuff.
Dr. Sullivan was one of the greatest profs I had in first semester. The material that was tested, was what she taught. She is very polite when you ask questions and is willing to ensure the success of her students. Highly recommend!
Dr. Sullivan is very enthusiastic and it makes taking this course a bit more enjoyable. In regards to the course, however, the lecture information is great but the labs are time-consuming and did not feel very beneficial to my learning. I would not recommend taking this class unless it is a degree requirement.
Best prof ever! She is a caring prof where if you ask for help, she will help you out! Her class was full of energy and fun and I loved it! For her lectures, instead of boring lectures, you will learn by doing Top hats and by going through her slide. To succeed, go to lectures, sit in the front, and ask questions! Thankful to have her as my prof!
Professor Sullivan was an amazing chemistry professor. She gave clear explanations for questions and oriented her class to be engaging through frequent TopHat questions. Showing up to class is definitely recommended but most of the content is AP/IB review.
Absolutely awesome prof. She is very passionate and extremely knowledgeable about Chem, she does a lot of TopHat which are extremely helpful if you actually participate, the tests are extremely fair.
Her lectures were very boring, and often confusing, especially when talking about MO theory. I didn't learn much from her at all and learned most of the material on my own. She was adequate but I would choose another prof if possible.
Loved professor Sullivan! Was a ver kind and great teacher, made real world examples to help explain chemistry theories which were helpful. Would recommend!
Really enjoyed having this prof, she was very passionate about the subject which made it more interesting, very organized and regularly reminded us on deadlines. You need to show up to this class however, as you can only understand most of the material if you hear it being explained in person.
Best Chem 201 prof! Had great lecture notes and did lots of top hat examples. Gave helpful hints as to what would be on term tests and final. Is really passionate and knowledgable about what she is teaching.
Most of her class consists of TopHat. Those questions are super helpful when preparing for exams SO DO IT!!
Dr. Sullivan's lectures do not flow nicely. They are not linear/she jumps all over the place. She's also very abrasive both in lecture and through email. She got genuinely angry at a student who asked about a concept that was covered way back at the beginning of the semester. Over email, she seems annoyed that you'd even want to seek clarity.
AMAZING. One of the best chem teachers I've ever had. Her class mostly consists of Tophat questions which are extremely useful for understanding concepts and preparing for exams. Pay attention, don't skip class, do the tophat questions and you'll get an easy A
Loved her class! She provided annotated notes online (after class) and was very effective communicator. Very friendly and responded to questions well. Lab work is difficult and you will spend hours on write ups but tutorials are easy.
Probably one of the best prof's I've ever had, phenomenal notes, great use of piazza, excellent communication of difficult concepts. Lab work is hard but if you look back at the annotated notes she post's you will be able to figure it out. Also created a personalized exam for me as I had an upcoming surgery, absolutely stellar.
She teaches pretty well, always politely answers students' questions, very approachable, and her notes are pretty good.
Erin is incredible. She teaches and leads you so naturally, it sometimes feels like you aren't even learning until you look back and realize how much she's taught you. Lots of TopHat which feels a little annoying sometimes but it really helps you learn.
Found it extremely difficult to learn in her class. While the tests were fair, there was a large gap between what we were expected to know for labs/tutorials and what we were taught. Most of class is top hat problems, and less so teaching. Her transition to online school consisted of very few lectures that were very long in length.
Dr. Sullivan is such a kind proff who is always willing to answer questions and make topics clearer when there is confusion among the class. I've noticed she explains concepts really well and I like the fact that the lecture templates are very clear and include many practice questions. She is to the point in her lectures as well. Great Proff!
She's an icon, she's a legend and she is the moment. If you're going to take ochem, take it with her. She's an amazing prof, very accessible outside of class, and responds to emails with detailed explanations very fast.
Dr. Sullivan is a wonderful professor and she made CHEM 351 extremely manageable!
absolutely fabulous professor, made all of the content manageable and easy to understand
two thumbs up
Dr. Sullivan was a fantastic prof! She stays after class to answer questions, is easy to talk to, and tells her students where and how to reach outside of class hours. I would take a class with her again any day!
She is a good and caring teacher.
An icon so useful and explains things clearly and with great detail and does not get fustrated if you ask multiple questions. Blew Van Humbeck and Ian Hunt out the water.. Racemic cyeah. bad little smooch from the x !@#$%^&*()
She is an amazing professor. She's so caring and goes above and beyond for her students. She provides detailed information and is always more than happy to offer help to students in any way possible. Her teaching style is good, the course is a hard course you have to put in more effort than just lectures but as a professor shes the best.
Amazing teaching method. Wonderful prof treats like she is your mother. I definitely would recommend to take her.
Amazing prof!
I had her for my Winter course. She is amazing, helpful, and tries to explain the material best and easily. Straightforward about what to expect on exams. Her lecture slides are useful for summarizing. Responds to emails quickly, always available for office hours. I was so glad I had her that I am taking an ochem course with her in the fall.
Erin Sullivan is INCREDIBLY rude and disrespectful with students emailing her about concerns and questions. I was treated incredibly poorly due to a mistake that was not even my fault. I am incredibly frustrated and disappointed that this is the Lab Coordinator I have to deal with this semester.
Dr. Sullivan is the sweetest prof in the chemistry department. She really wants her students to do well and makes sure to give them loads of practice. Ochem is a hard course, and you need to study A LOT to do even decent on the exams, but blame that on Hunt :)
Her notes were very detailed and helpful. The final was absurd and it is clear that the difficulty of the course depends on the luck of students and who wrote the exams. While practice questions were given, it was not enough detail or difficulty in class. They were basic application and widely underestimated the MT and final.
Good lecturer! Take ochem with her tho
I found her lectures pretty good in terms of explaining everything we needed to know, my only complaint was that in office hours she would answer my questions and just leave me more confused, always overcomplicated what I asked.
Overall okay professor, given this is an insanely hard course. However, did not feel like lectures prepared us enough for the MT or final, and more focus should have been on doing well on those, as the correlation wasn't really there.
Probably the best chem prof I've had. Her notes were very detailed and provided helpful examples. She was also super kind and helpful during office hours. Without her I never would've gotten an A in organic chemistry in my wildest dreams.
Prof Sullivan is super helpful and caring. Her notes are great, but the exams are quite challenging. Definitely take advantage of office hours and try out Unstuck ai - it really helped me prepare alongside the practice questions.
