Great professor. Explains well and tries to make sure everyone understands. Knows what he's doing and will teach you in an understandable way! Take him....
Professor Gobert is a really good teacher. He teaches at OU during the day and OKCCC in the evening. Really tries and helps the students understand. He let me enroll late in class. He does have a thick accents, so beware, at times hard to understand.
Prof. Gobert is very helpful. I struggle in algebra constantly and he always goes out of his way to make ensure that I have grasped the concept of each unit. He is very nice and easy to approach. This is one professor that wants to make sure each of his students succeed!
Great Professor. He makes everything very simple and explains well. Uses real life applications to what you are learning. Does have a bit of an accent , but did not really hinder learning that much, but be prepared. He made the class easy.
The best College teacher I have had yet. Beware of accent at first. Doesn't take long to get used to. After that barrier is crossed you will never have a better math teacher in school and would be hard pressed to find a better teacher in any subject. If possible take him! I will if I have chance to
He skips steps and the tests are extreme.
BEST MATH TEACHER I EVER HAD!! PERIOD!! GREAT TEACHER!!
Best College Professor I have ever had.
I made an A in the class but only becuase I studied a lot and went to the math lab. He is a good teacher but be prepared to have to self teach and learn a lot on your own. He is not the easiest I've ever had, but I did learn a lot.

The class by itself can be difficult, without him making it more confusing! He is helpful most of the time, his test review do not always match up with his test.
He is nice enough, but can be very unorganized. Teaches too many classes during the semester and gets confused as to what he has told each class. I had to spend hours in the math lab to understand what he taught. DO NOT depend on his test reviews because they will not match his tests and neither does the simple homework. Tests are not easy!

Great Professor. Explained things well and was always willing to help if needed. Also used good examples that didn't bore me to death. His accent isn't too bad. Passed easily with an A. I would definitely recommend.
He is unorganized and what he teaches does not match what is on the test. He will count off for what he promises not to. Make sure you put dollar signs no matter what he says. Also, he will tell you that you did well on a test when you really didn't do so well. I felt as if I was ignored for no reason while others were focused on.
Great teacher. Ignore what people have said about his accent -- it's very mild and presents no problems to your comprehension. Good lectures, tests are easy as long as you study the objectives in the syllabus and do each homework problem.
I had him for Calc I. He does have an accent, but it's not that bad. He doesn't assign a lot of homework, and they're usually all odd problems, so you can check your answers. He prepares you well for his exams. I was worried coming into his class because I didn't have an extensive history in math, but this guy made the subject very easy to learn.
He is unorganized and the materials that he teaches doesn't match what is on the tests. The tests are very hard. He always say that if we need anything, talk to him after class or in his office hours. I tried to talk to him many times. However, it does not help talking to him at ALL, because of all his excuses.
horrible
Very good guy! He has an accent but hes easy to understand. If you do the homework u will make a perfect score on his tests. He even lets u bring notes to tests.Easy class!!
Don't listen when he told you that he will help you after class or in his office. I stop by his office three four times, because I needed help from him. Doesn't help me one time!
This prof. is not very helpful. If you need assistance from him or he asks you to meet at his office, do not do this, go to the mathhlab and seek assistance. In the end, I should have stayed with my college algebra prof. to teach me calculus because I knew what to expect from that teacher. I hope this helps you make a good choice in calc courses.
Professor is a very nice guy and is helpful at times. He has a strong accent, but you can still understand what he says. His test are kind of hard and aren't exaxtly like what is covered in class or in the book. Other than that he is a good teacher and tries hard to make the subject fun. Even allows you to use a note card on some of the tests.
If you show up and do your homework, you should be ok. I took Bus Calc over the summer and some people bombed it, but I noticed they never did any of their homework. Put some effort in this class and you'll make the grade. I also took him for Bus Stats..another A. Same strategy used. I recommend him. You'll get used to his accent.
Horrible professor. Material he teaches and his notes don't match what textbook and Mathlab teaches. Doesn't respond back to emails when you ask for help. His grading on tests are unfair. One of the worst professors I've had.
Just go to class. Do the homework. Take notes. You will get a "A" in this class. He is really helpful to student and know how to teach. A good and nice teacher.I take his business statistics class, and I took his calculus class before.
I took stats online during the summer to bridge in to Grad School. Prof. Gobert was easy to get in touch with and eager to help if need be,
Gobert makes this class very easy. He's very unorganized but as long as you do the homework, you should do well.
He is an excellent teacher. I have no idea why ppl say otherwise. Explains things until you understand. You will know exactly what to expect on tests and quizes. Do hw on time and study what he says and you'll do fine. Not a hard class.Very nice and approachable.Use notecards on tests.Ask questions if you don't understand-he helps. Take his class.
He's the sweetest man alive! He's extremely helpful. anytime you go into his office he is willing to help you out with your homework! He gives extra time needed to finish homework. he is very easy and you should make a good grade as long as you do the homework. you get to use notes on the test that makes the tests so easy! I made an A! Take him! =)
Don't let anyone fool you! As long as you attend regularly and pay attention, this class is a breeze. He is willing to help during his office hours. If you dont come to class, you have no room to complain. Your grade is in your own hands. Welcome to college!
Love, Love, Love this guy!! This is my 3rd time to take this class....I passed with an A and little effort. He makes the material easy to understand. I hightly recommend Him for College Algebra and Business Calculus.
He's kind, patient, and knowledgable. Will take the time to explain things to you if you don't understand. Allows us to bring a page of notes to exams. If you attend class, and make sure you understand how to do the material, you'll be fine. I highly recommend him. He pauses during lectures to make sure everyone understands before moving on.
He has some funny questions and answers in his exams which make me feel less nervous while taking them :D. He's helpful.
He is funny, helpful and smart. Do ur work and everything will be smooth!
The materials for Bus/Cal II are harder than Cal I so make sure you study for the class. He's helpful. I got an A.
a Great caring teacher. I went to his office hours if I needed help and he was great to help me with anything. You need to do all your homework so that you are ready for your test.I wish all pro would teach like he does. Some students really want to learn and he will help you.Believe me I spent alot of time doing work in his office very helpful.
One of my favorite professors so far! He was very clear in class, going over things as many times as needed. Homework was easy,he answered questions over it at the beginning of every class. He sincerely wanted everyone to do well- even asking us to come in before the test to review if we didn't make an A on the previous test.
I wish all of my professors were like him. Very fair. You will wear out pens during his lectures, but his examples & explanations are worth it. Do your work and you will do fine.
He was not completely organized by the first day of class. Due dates are never clear, neither are test dates. HOWEVER, if you are not ready to turn something in or take the test, he takes personal situations into account. Some chapters' lectures aren't very clear, but the first unit and last unit are extremely easy.
Great professor that has been teachng for over 17 years. He is super helpful and always available during office hoours. He really wants you to succeed! Highly recommend his class! Examples done in class are very helpful and you get to use a notecard on your tests. He was so awesome, I am taking him for Calculus II! Gobert=Awesome professor!!!
Professor Gobert was amazing! Probably my favorite professor in college....Prepare to write, though! He writes all of his notes out on the board each class. HOWEVER, his notes go STRAIGHT along with the test and, if you study from his notes word for word that he writes in the board, GUARANTEED A. The guy is also hilarious and really easy going!
Gobert is AMAZING!!! I absolutely love his teaching style. Super helpful and wants to make sure you understand the material. My favorite professor thus far!!!! Highly recommend him.
Cool guy
The best way to succeed is to attend class and ace the exams.
Interesting guy. Really Easy class, you just simply need to ace the exams. Don't even bother with homework, they are worthless! All that matter is the exam.
All you really need to do to succeed in the class is do well in the class.
I just finished his Calculus I class. I would put his quality of teaching against any other math teacher. He really knows how to help students learn, instead of making them memorize data that will soon be forgotten. I will be taking him for Calc II and III. His tests aren't "easy", but they aren't hard and match up with the material gone over.
Gobert was a very high quality teacher. He does have an accent, but I never had any trouble understanding him. He knows his math and knows how to teach it in a way that's easy to understand. He's always willing to help if you have questions. He's very likable and it's hard not to laugh with him throughout the class. Tests were relatively easy.
The man! He makes calculus manageable. Just Gobert it!
Best calculus I professor! Funny guy. There is one difficult module, derivatives, but he tries his best to help you practice and understand it. He teaches the lesson and the rest of the class period is used to show and work out examples with the class. Also, do your homework and bring it to class because he will work problems you don't understand.
He is the best teacher he gives a lot of partial credit for problems in test u get to take notecards to the testing center and use calculator to check he is very helpful and understanding and he will give u 100 points for doing ur homework and he does a test review which is very helpful too his teaching method best I ever had I will keep taking him
Simple the best math teacher you can find. He doesn't make you memorize all the things. He wants you to understand what you are learning and he explains all the things clearly until you do. He will make you laugh a lot while giving quality lectures. He also knows a lot of interesting statistics that he loves to talk about.
if you want an easy A take him. If you want to build a good mathematical foundation forget about it.
Flexible, easy going, course requirements were outlined ahead but Gobert still made accommodations when I had trouble getting into the testing center on time.
Excellent online professor. Very helpful. Lots of feedback. Would take again.
The best teacher that I have ever had. He puts full effort into making sure you understand the material. He puts things in perspective and is the most encouraging teacher that I've ever known. I've never been talented at math, but with Mr Gobert as an instructor, I've had an A for all three semesters of Calculus.
He is an amazing teacher. Really gets into teaching with passion. He understands that he already understands the material he teaches so he makes sure that he makes it understandable for people who aren't good at math. He does have an accent, but you will get used to it quickly and it doesn't hinder your ability to learn.
Gobert's class is a bit different than most Pre-Calc courses, during his lectures he likes to throw in some jokes and has fun with the class while still maintaining concentration on the material.
He is one of the best Math professors at Otrip. Explains things well and knows you don't know the material since you are a student and makes it easy for you to learn it.
One of the best math professors has OCCC. He is more than willing to work with you, his email responses are timely and is great at breaking the material down to make sense. Tests can be very hard. You need to know what is being asked, than just punching numbers in the calculator. Overall, a wonderful professor.
Be ready to do all homework by hand! Also do not expect to have grades posted at all through the semester, and it can be like pulling teeth to see where you stand in his class.
The best math professor I've ever had(eng calc 1,2, and 3). His lectures and office hours are very helpful. Very nice guy. Also his tests only contain content straight from the homework, not to mention he also does test reviews and allows you to take a note card to the tests. He makes sure the class learns the material very well before moving on.
Took Business Calc 1 with him over the summer. Absolutely loved the class. Yes theres homework, but it helps. i did all of my homework and got an A on all. but got 60's and 70's on the exams (which were curved). but the home work saved me and i got a B in the course. He wants you to pass and he cares. I recommend to everyone.
Really good teacher. Test did count for a lot though and I'm horrible at test taking. I might still pass. Really enjoy full class I would take it again.
He's helpful and gives you opportunity to earn extra credits for your loss points on the exams. His exams were difficult at first, but later on became easier. He's very funny, too.
I am taking Statistics with him over the summer and he is great! He loves to answer questions and seems very passionate about teaching. He keeps class fun and will help you whenever you need it! If you do your homework the tests will be extremely familiar to you.
Professor Gobert was very friendly and happily answered any questions we had. He was also understanding and funny during lectures.
Gobert is a nice professor. If you ever have a question, he never minds helping you and making sure you understand the material. But don't let his kindness fool you, Business Calculus can be a tough class. Make sure you don't miss class, especially if you take it in the summer. Do tons of extra problems and you should have no problem succeeding.
I took Gobert's stat class over the Summer and he was great. He teaches in depth and doesn't assume his students already know the material. His homework is mostly graded on completion and you can bring a notecard for tests. He's a nice guy and made lecture enjoyable. Attendance isn't required but he explains material a lot better than the textbook.
I tried to take this class with a different professor who didn't want to take the time to explain, so I dropped that class and now I am so glad that I took Gobert. He really takes the time because he actually cares that you learn the material. He is easy to understand and even has a study guide he helped make for the course-which works wonders.
Awesome teacher. I knew from day 1 I was going to enjoy his class, and I wasn't excited about Calculus 2. But afterwards I really learned and understood Calc. He made it easy to understand and relate to real life. Like his little personal stories :-) he's kinda quirky but really good. Partial credit is given.
Good about not requiring too much math to be written on homework, as long as you right down two or three steps to a problem, he won't count off for skipping easy steps you can do in your head. He is really funny and keeps things positive and upbeat. He understands the topic, and understands that students have jobs and will help them when needed.
Gobert is pretty great. He's passionate about what he teaches and always has some sort of application to share with the class. He knew every students' name and was very helpful when asked questions.
Professor Gobert makes learning statistics fun. He wants you to succeed. Attend lectures and you should do fine. He makes lots of jokes and keeps the discussion relevant and engaging. I would definitely take another one of his classes.
Professor Gobert is a great professor. He really knows his material and he really knows how to explain concepts well. He was engaging and hilarious. His tests can be difficult but he gives really good reviews. He also allows you to take a note card. Would def take him again.
Gobert made statistics relevant and interesting. He is always willing to answer questions, has generous office hours, and is not afraid of different approaches to problems. Tests are challenging so do the homework and take time to make your note card. He doesn't post grades online, so keep track.
Awesome teacher
His classes are interesting but the test are so hard. He doesnt have any idea about how to make exam paper. His exam paper have 3-7 questions which worth 100 points. So if you miss 1 question you grade will be C or D, because there are not a lot of question like other math tests. I took his trigonometry and statistic, its same for both classes.
He is a good professors. He is kind, caring and friendly. he gives extra credit. It is a real life class. Stuff in this class is use in the world. take is contemporary math class YOU WILL HAVE BLAST!!!!!!
He is in my opinion the funniest professor at OCCC. He makes math enjoyable and fun to learn. Which is kind of surprising right? I took his business Calc class for 16 weeks. But I wish I could stay longer. Exams are fairly straightforward, do all assigned homework. Also, fill that index card with useful info, leaving no room for open space. :D
Gobert is hilarious. He is very open minded and will own up to making mistakes. Easily my favorite professor of my four years of college so far. I don't dread going to class like I have with other professors. I have a one day a week class and he gives us a 15 minute break halfway through the class because he understands needing a mental break.10/10
The class is not mandatory but, it recommended to get info and dates for tests and homework. Gobert makes you laughs and compares what we are learning to outside world. He gives a 20 minute breaks so we go to the bathroom, eat a snack, or ask questions. I would take him again. If you don't like math or weakest suggest you that his class.
Professor Gobert is seriously the best! Take his class! Loved every minute of it. This man deserves a raise!
He is amazing! Best Teacher ever, I couldn't be happier!
I wish he taught more of my classes. He's thorough, clear, and will go over it until you get it. He's humorous and friendly. Probably one of my favorite teachers at OCCC
His test is not difficult but it is not easy, a little bit tricky. Doing homework and present at class will help raise your grades. He's funny and his class is relax to me. Recommended if you take calc classes.
I was nervous to take bus cal but he was AMAZING. If its OU football season, you can haggle bonus points on games. He is friendly, funny, and just a great professor. I took a hybrid class but his lectures were so informative that I did not need to study too much independently. He really knows his stuff and will work with you until you do too.
Professor Gobert is an intelligent instructor who has a witty sense of humor. Overall, this course is difficult, exhausting, and stressful. Professor Gobert is a well suited teacher, but the class is challenging for one to understand.
Professor expects students to do unreasonable things. You cannot expect a student to be able to take the course as if it was in-person. Most students chose online for that reason, the accessibility that is online. Not making student take pics of hw, email it in pdf, then expect that to be okay; when they already are paying for the online resource..
He was a good Professor. He genuinely seemed to care about the students participation in class. Always emailed us if his office hours changed. He did a good job covering the materials that would be on the Exams, and if you had any doubts on the homework, he would be happy to help during class or outside of class.
Took him in early 2020 during the semester that was half in-person and half-online after COVID started. In-person, he was easily one of my favorite professors. Always had good examples and I felt like I was learning something. Online, however, it was a complete disaster. Over 8 weeks he sent out just 6 emails, which lacked any kind of teaching.
This guy really wants you to pass the class. He makes it to where if you give a little effort that you can pass. He does 2 zoom lectures every week where you can ask him questions if you need to. If you to take calc, choose him!
I got a A in his class. As long as you do your homework, you'll pass
I took Professor Gobert for calculus, and I'm extremely satisfied with his class. He gave the class around four homework assignments due every two weeks and four tests throughout the semester. He does not give a final. Plus, he gives multiple days to complete the tests. Gobert is always willing to help!
Prof. Gobert was amazing! His lectures were clear and he worked through many of the homework problems with us to ensure we had the foundation we needed. He was also super available for questions with generous office hours and time after the weekly lectures. Would totally recommend him for future students!
he is a great professor and makes all of the material relatable to you. He is also very helpful when it comes to homework. If youre worried about taking a calc class definitely take it with Dr. Gobert youll have little to no problem with the material.
I kind of wish i had a reason to take another one of his classes. He makes it relatable to real life, gives alot of short cuts (as in, teaching an easier method than what the book gives). his pre-recorded lectures are very detailed and thorough, but not monatonous and boring. He has accessable office hours via Zoom to get live help as well.
Professor Gobert was amazing! His online class was very easy to follow along with, and he was easy to understand. I have never taken a calculus class before college and he made it so easy to understand and break down. I took another business calc class before his and he is by far the best at breaking things down and relating it to real life as well
I could not recommend him enough!! I was so scared to take calculus but ended with a 98 in his class. His lectures are amazing and he is so helpful for homework. Watch the lectures and submit everything on time and you will do great in this class!
He really cares about helping you understand the work. Great professor, and I would take a course he was teaching again.
Professor Gobert's calculus class is challenging but rewarding. His lectures are clear, and he's always willing to help. With the textbook, homework, and tools like unstuck AI, you can succeed in this course.
I wish I had a different major to take more courses offered by Prof. Gobert. He moves quickly but makes sure to give real life examples of the math he is teaching. He is very lighthearted and is extremely passionate about his job. If you have the option, I highly recommend taking one of his courses.
