awesome teacher... he gives a review sheet, and the test is just like the review sheet!
He gives reviews that are easy, but he teaches unclear and fast, and also writes sloppy on the board.
he's a cool guy and his test are just like the review sheet but i doesn't really teach so you end up not learning anything(talks way too much about anything but math)
Really cool teacher- funny and entertaining. Review sheets are the exact exam! Just understand the questions on the review and you will make A's and B's.

Esay A!! No homework. Reviews are exactly like the test. does go off topic sometimes. Not strict at all. It moght get noisy in his class sometimes. Basicallly oif you get the review sheet you get the test!
hes a cool and interesting guy and makes people laugh...everything here is true with the exception of the final...the review for the final and the final itself wont be the same...It would be wise to study the previous tests. But i still got a B and A

Mr. Nwachukwu is a nice teacher. He likes making fun in class. He doesn't teach good and clearly as well, but his classes are just easy to pass. His tests are all MC with the same version. If you just want to pass the class as well and do not except to learn. Take him...He is great!
If you want an easy A in finite or algebra then this is the teacher to take. all his test are multiple choice usually around 30 questions or so. but hes funny and real kool. even if ur bad at math you should be fine.
Took him for college algebra and finite math, very easy teacher, he knows the materal very well, he is hilarious like to tell jokes, his reviews are the same as the exams you can't go wrong!
In the summer, he rarely gave out review sheets but he is pretty easy teacher. When he does give out the review sheets-almost everything is on the test. He does tell jokes... some are funny and some are not. He goes off topics alot but he's pretty cool. I got an easy A!!! (and of course I didn't learn anything hehe)
If you want easy grade, then you should get him. But you want to Learn or understand, then your shouldn't NOT take him. He basically can't teach and sometimes really hard to understand him.
Good personalities are not always good teachers. This was definitely the case.
If you just wanna pass, take him. If you really wanna learn, take Bowen.

This was my second time taking him and i knew what i was getting my self into. Easy B, Difficult A depending on the Final. If your like me and like to teach yourself from reading then take him bc the guy cant teach. Test are fairly easy, but he DOESNT PREPARE YOU FOR THE FINAL. Take Bowen for CAL she's much better.

If you do the problems in the book he makes do in class it's pretty easy. Jokes too much sometimes and some people get annoyed of him, but i think he's pretty cool.

he is an excellent teacher who makes math VERY simple. I dont know what made other people not like him, but he is kind and helpful as long as u pay attention. he often gives alot of leeway to those who work hard. besides the corny jokes, he is nice. not: This is my third time with him, and so far i have had an A and a B .

I think he prefers to be a comedian more than a Math instructor. He gets a bunch of jokes and wastes 15 mins in discussing them. He gets annoyed if someone asks him a question and does not like to do more than 5 problems in class. It's upto u to decide whether u want him as an instructor.
Well Professor Ernest n my opinion was an awesome professor. He told us a joke each day & he would always leave a quote @ the edge of the board. His tests a r multiple choice but we review it right b4 the test. I had him for summer II I passed my exams except 1 & did OK on the final. Ended up with a C. I recommend him if u WANT to learn. Makes corny jokes and loves to teach. All his test are easy because you can use the calculator. ALL MULTIPLE CHOICE! He usually steps out of class every once in a while including on test days so yeah... Aced Every Test but I am Majoring in math. He should have gone into speaking, he loves to do it as long it's not about math. If you need to learn math, don't take him. Complete narcissist and his way or no way, he's never wrong. Doesn't extend homework due dates even when he delayed in unlocking it in time. Wants2 have easy students that already know the work. I wouldn't be there if I knew.

A great teacher and a inspiration. Students having problems in his class are probably over extended. Math is not my cup of tea,so I am taking 1314 only for this semester and I am making all A's. Thats because I have more time to focus on the multitude of formulas to study.

Pretty easy class. Attendance is mandatory. Books are used as well as the course compass. His quotes are interesting as well as his jokes.

EASY A. Take his class! 4 tests + MathLab homework. Tests are IDENTIAL to reviews & he drops your lowest grade. MathLabs are due near the end of the semester so you have so much time to work on them. I took his class Summer I and honestly im LAZY, math is FOREIGN to me, HARDLY studied and passed with a B. And the professor is entertaining!TAKE HIM!

Very easy teacher!! I hate math but I love the way he breaks everything down to make it understandable. I took his 8am class and was halfway focused in his class. But I made an A on every test, including the final!! VERY EASY!!

he makes class entertaining. his reviews are almost identical to the test and even helps you answer the questions (on the review). He explains things in his own way to make it easier to understand, but you do have to be a self starter and study the book a little bit. 3 exams, final counts for double. Drops the lowest of 5 grades.

Math has always been difficult for me, but I managed to get an A in this class. He gave 4 exams plus the final, which counts double. He'll drop your lowest grade and give test questions that are practically identical to those on the review sheets that he gives out. Do the reviews and you should have no problem getting an A on the exams.
To All the Students out there if you want to Fail or Drop out please do go to his class. His way of teaching is not clear and his joke are pathetics. 90% class is not getting satisfactory academic progress. BUT if you think YOU ARE GENIUS go to his class to lower your GPA

He is the worst professor i have ever known in HCC. If you are not the type that likes doing mymathlab assignments dont take him. He comes to class with stupid quotes he copied from someone else and claims that he was te one that wrote it. I dont reccommend him at all.
He is an awesome teacher I took him for spring , summer, and I will be taking him for the fall. HW is on mymathlab..he ask if you understand and will explain if you don't. I will be taking all of my math classes with him.

This is the best mathematics teacher you could possibly choose at HCC. The work taught is easily understandable because he explains everything perfectly. He is not one of those teachers who does not know what he is talking about. Choose him for a guaranteed B+ if you do your work. He does not use MyMathLab for Col. Alg / Pre-Calc/ Calc I,II,III.
I took this class because I thought it was easy and pre-requisitive for stat 1314. In fact, you better study in your own than listen to him. Sometimes he is confused what he is saying. He is not clarify at all. May be he teaches well in other classes but not this one.
At first I skeptical, however, I enjoyed his class and attend his class in spring also. If you fail this class, it's all on the individual. Mr Ernest main goal it to see all his students pass and succeed.
If you want to understand statistics, take his class! He is a true expert in his field, goes out of his way to help students when they have problems, and makes class time enjoyable. Of course, he expects students to show up on time and pay attention in class, but that's really not too much to ask.

Took professor N back to back, for both Finite Math and also calculus. He is an amazing professor that does his best to help others. He provides very inspiring quotes that really makes you think. If you ask for help you will surely receive it. I got an A in his finite and B in Calculus. He is also very funny and insightful.

WORST teacher ever for math. He doesn't do any thing..doesn't even move from his chair. makes class to solve all problems. sometimes he also gets confuse. But, yes one positive outcome, tests are same as review. DO NOT take him, you might get an A or B, but there are many other good math teaches in HCCS.
Skips from section to section and mixes up chapters. when teaching ch 1 (limits) he was getting at us for not knowing derivatives ch 2. self-study if you want to pass this class. He only gives a couple of examples from sections and tests on things he did not cover. Tests are nothing like review. Very heavy accent and HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION SKILLS.

Here’s the deal. Mr. Nwachukwu is a great teacher. Period. His jokes, parables, and life lessons are his way of keeping things light. He is very proud that he is from Nigeria and he will command you to “obey” him. Have fun with it. No HW. Tests are very similar to test reviews. This class was easy for me because i have a "do it yourself" mentality also not bad with math. If you struggle in math sit in the front and ask questions, participate. Over all great teacher i am looking forward to taking another one of his classes.

Mr Ernest is a very good professor. He taught me the basics in Algebra and I am very grateful to him for that. I took him for two of my math classes and got an A in both. His accent is a bit strong but he does explain to you once you ask questions. His reviews are exactly like his exams. I would take him again.
He is good , but for a student to survive in his class you will need to work in groups . His tests were not much of his reviews . The truth is that Calculus needs some dedication to it for you to succeed . . But on a general over view , he is a great teacher .

Nice and religious professor. Every few minutes or so in the middle of the lecture he stops to give a five minute sermon on how to be wise and obedient in life. Also you will get a good laugh in his class :).
Look he's not that bad of a teacher. I'm good in math so I was O.K. I feel sad for other people who are not good in math and are willing to learn. The only grades are the MyMathLab, and the tests (no quizzes or everyday homework). He makes random moaning sounds. Just do the MyMathLab before every test and you'll be fine. Multiple choice tests.

he is a really good professor. he is there when you need him, no very strict which is good thing. only thing i dont like is he explains the lesson very briefly does a couple of examples and moves on to next lesson which is not bad but the difficulty comes when solving web assign which takes A LOT of time.
Take this Professor, his class is simple, if work hard you will pass, don't be lazy!!
I took this him during the spring, he has a good teaching method, there is no way you could fail his class unless your not trying. You have ALL the resources you need.
Take him if u re really good at math because his test is easy and very close to the review. He has bad accent. The way he teaches is very hard to understand. ALWAYS tell abt himself. The webassign dues at the end of the semester, which makes u feel relax at the beginning of the semester yet brutal at the end of semester. Nv take again
All he does is tell quotes, make jokes, and be philosophical. He gets how to do Calculus, but he can't teach it! He'll at times forget how to do certain things and is very confusing. He goes way too fast and expects everyone to understand it on the first try. He skips over sections too. His tests are 35 questions tops and are extremely difficult.
Don't take his class if you actually want to learn mathematics only if you just need the credit. Tests are easy, homework on webassign are long and time consuming.
Professor Nwachukwu is by far the best math professor that I've ever had. He is great at explaining tough concepts. He explains very well the processes used in the textbook to get the solutions, and also teaches us his ways of getting around those same problems in a much easier ways. Homework and exams are not hard at all if you study your reviews.
If you obey to what he says.. youre good. Do the assignments and practise at home as well. Nearly everything is understandable and the class goes by stress free. He entertains questions
It's an easy A class. I took him for Math 1324. he is absolutely clear about his exams and assignments. take the notes and examples he gives you in class and you should be fine in every exam. i would say that the final was a bit hard but if you do the online Homework and ace the other exams, you would end up with an A grade.
I took Dr. Nwachukwu's class at the Stafford Campus over the summer. Our final grade was the best five out of six grades in the class (3 tests, 1 final- counts twice-, and the homework average). Good lecturer. In a short time, I learned and understood a good deal of material. Obey, do the practice exams, and you'll do great.
I don't know why people don't like this professor. He was a good professor. You can live without the textbook. You really don't need it. Study the review he gives you in class, not the one's online. His review are the same as the text just in different order. He was a good professor overall
His thick accent takes some getting use to. He likes to make jokes and give life lessons. He has a few assignments on my math lab but he gives you until end of semester to finish. All his test are literally like the reviews just different order ,different numbers study them well and you will pass his class ,
I took my math 0409 and i was very active in class always would go on board as he wanted someone to solve problem but never got awarded by this tough grader inst . U get what ever u get from tests and your 89.99 is not gona give you a B
Great professor, explains well, very inspirational and funny. His class is not hard to pass but if you are someone who wants an A I can assure you will definitely have to work hard for it. There is a total of three test, he does give you reviews but sometimes he will give two reviews per test which will throw you off, make sure you do good on HW.
He is a great person who is very inspirational. However, when it comes to being a professor, he is not great at all. He skips through the subjects and doesn't even make sure the whole class understands what he teaches. The entire class was always confused the whole semester about his lectures. The reviews are exactly like the tests though.
So this is my second time taking a math 1314, I was so afraid this time. Take him for summer online! Final is on campus that's only downside. Tests are all online and homework. I made a B! It is very fast pace so get a tutor.
I loved him! Took him for college algebra and stats. He is the best. He works with people. He's very inspirational. Every day there is a quote that's new and motivates. Reviews are the test! So when he gives the review make sure you study that and you'll pass. Attendance isn't mandatory and he drops lowest grade. Take him, won't regret it.
Mr. Nwachukru is quite a character. I took him in a 5 weeks summer session. He can teach quite well and the lectures are usually clear, only sometimes it became a little bit hectic due to the short amount of time in the summer semester. He gives a lot of homework which will be 20% of your final grade. His tests are similar to his reviews. Easy A.
He has a very strong accent that can often be very difficult to understand. If you're like me and math is a very difficult subject and/or you have difficulty understanding strong accents, you should avoid taking his class. However, if you have no problem with this, I am told he is an excellent professor

I took this class online. His grading was not transparent. You can't see all your grades in one portal. It's like the final grades were made up. I'm fairly good in math, but this professor expects you to do everything yourself. He keeps forwarding same irrelevant e-mails,junking your inbox, but have problems answering specific questions over e-mail
hes awful. im not even done with semester & im already writing this review. he yells a lot & struggles to stay on topic. he doesnt bother to explain what certain things are, & if u ask questions he makes u feel dumb. he only shows one example per concept, but expects u to know everything. hes fast paced & doesnt know how to explain things.
Homework is due at the end of the semester. Starts each classes with a useless quote. 3% extra credit. Doesn't use canvas. Makes fun of students for answering incorrectly or asking a question or providing an incorrect calculations. Don't take him y'all.
Take Him! you won't regret it. He knows his subject and his teaching style is very self-explanatory. Never miss a day, or else you will miss a lot of info. His exams are exactly like the review, especially for the final. If you study his reviews you will pass. He does give credit for perfect attendance.
Good is that he does a good job explaining the material . Bad is that he is very disorganized , he gives us 3 different reviews for each test and he seems to forget what we have gone over in class and asks questions on exam that we haven't covered. Homework is a lot , and I am pretty sure he didn't count it toward grade when it counts "20%" .
He's extremely disorganized. His notes and explanations were all over the place and very confusing. I didn't understand what he was teaching at all. His online homework is not only extensive but does not concern what he is teaching in class at all. Nothing in the homework was like what he taught in class. Taking his class lowered my GPA.

Don't take this class. You can't understand anything he is saying. He makes mistakes almost every time he solves a problem in class. We had to go online to make sure he is solving everything correctly.
Easy A if you actually try your best
He is hard to understand and goes very quick. However every test is an exact replica of the review, so if you don't get the homework or the lecture just know how to do the review. He lets you print out all the formulas and can use them on every test. Three 25 question tests in person, a final, and the hw. He was okay overall, not too difficult.

He's a great and funny guy. His class is very test and homework heavy, but he will drop your lowest test grade. His teaching is ok, but can be better. I don't really suggest taking him for stats unless you have no other choice and want an easy passing grade. Do not forget his homework though, it's all due at the end of the semester.
Took him online, there were so many lecture videos and I couldn't keep up ended up accepting my faith last week of classes and dragged myself to my doom finals week, thank goodness when I changed my major they said I don't need the class anymore.

If you do his reviews you will be set for the tests. He drops your lowest of 4 test grades and uses your best 3. His teaching style is not bad, but due to his accent, you may hear numbers or words wrong. He likes questions and will only move on until you understand. If you listen to him, getting an A will not be that hard.

I just want to say I make fair judgments with professors, with that being said this is easily one of the worst professors I ever had. My class had a GroupMe chat and everyone was frustrated with his teaching skills, and I mean everyone, his teaching is garbage, he never responds to email, the tests are not similar to the reviews. DO NOT TAKE HIM!
I have never taken a course with a professor like this. Worst professor ever. I had a loved one pass away and I couldn't handle their passing that I missed work and class because it was too much. I emailed him about it he didn't answer and when he did answer it was to remind me that I had an exam that week due. Btw he withdrew me from the course.
4 exams(drops lowest)+ HW + final ur grade. formula sheet/graphing calc on exam ok! self teaching is mandatory bc he skips things in class. Reveiws are only 50% like exam. Fair professor, not bad as everybody writes. If u just do your part instead of complain, an A is feasible. HW normal amount & all due by end of the semester. Formulas & calculator on exams. Drops 1 exam. Replies to emails on time. Some say handwriting & accent difficult to understand, I didnt find it too bad. Choose him if others are bad
This dude is awesome!! I took him for Pre-Cal. He teaches in a very fun way, very understandable. He would spend more time on topics that you find hard. Be prepared to keep up with work. He does have a thick accent but it's not bad at all, he MAKES you understand the work. Also, gives life advise ;)
If you have a question and it turns out he had already taught that he would get very mad (we were learning 3 hours of content a day so we arent going to remember everything). He doesnt have empathy for students and yells a lot. Reviews are not like the tests. HE WILL REMOVE YOU FROM THE CLASS IF YOU ARE NOT THERE FOR ATTENDENCE!
the online textbook had a lot of homework and a lot of video lectures that were mandatory to watch. he had 4 exams plus a final exam
4 exams, and 1 final exam (you need to proof your work at the end of each exam). Reviews are not similar to exams and homework is extremely difficult, with lack of guidance. In addition, homework doesn't help you understand the concept, and there is not extra point for participation or attendance. Be aware of the good reviews, rude professor.
Moment of the first day already stressing out, his handwriting is bad you can somewhat understand his writing, and he has the problems already written but he just explains it he doesnt wrtie down the problems again to show you step by step. I know we just started the semester of FALL 2022 but I don't recommend him. Wish me luck. I will write again!

If you want to pass Calculus, just take this man. You won't regret it! Do the Reviews and you'll be fine on the test. Coming from a procrastinator myself, don't listen to the negative reviews, unless you're just that student that doesn't believe in doing any work to pass.

I took him for Calc 1. My course was lecture-free. He gave exam reviews that basically imitated the test, with the exception of different numbers. I wish that he taught Calc 2. He was a blessing! God bless.
His lectures are mandotaory and his accent makes it hard to study but overall lectures are meh. They are helpful but to an extent. BUT TAKE HIM the reason to take him would be easy exams all from review sheet, hw limited and due end of semester. The exams were previously discussed in class. Proffesor is hard to reach.
I took the course online and attendance is mandatory. The lectures do well to introduce you to the material, but they are very fast paced and hard to comprehend. He does provide the answers to practice exams and they are very similar to the exams. the course is easy if you study the practice exams.
We went through the entire course with the teacher sitting on his chair! He barely got up to explain and usually just read through the book displayed through projector. He was also very fast-paced and there were several occasions where he made mistakes during lecture even further making concepts difficult for us. WILL NOT RECOMMEND!
This professor is quite hilarious at times; however, there are many down sides such as lecture heavy, test heavy, and a lot of required self-studying. It is a good idea to group up as he allows students to study together as the chapters can be confusing. Still, DON'T cheat! It is crucial to understand the material for the test and its review. glhf!
I took this class online-scheduled and used class time to do HW. Lectures for attendance but they are not that useful. He gets frustrated if you ask questions or have trouble understanding. HW all due at the end of the semester. 4 exams,1 cumulative final. He goes over the review during lecture before the exam. You will be teaching yourself.
took the course 'online anytime' to fulfill my math requirements for my degree. dont bother reaching out to him, he wont answer. his method of teaching for this class is just aleks, which is not always helpful. extremely test heavy, no makeups or redos.

DO NOT TAKE HIM! He literally gives u questions that he never taught in class and gives you questions in the HW that are impossible to solve. Skips so many steps that even after taking algebra, precal, and trig u will get lost. Hated his class, Will give you stuff he never taught on exams. I got the lowest grade in his class, RUINED my GPA. AVOID!

Very test heavy, homework using ALEKS, lecture hard to follow. Pretty much you need to teach yourself but as long as you do work and study on time it's not too difficult.
I took him for math 1342. He teaches out of the textbook. It was a little difficult, but I made it out with a B. If you're not good with math, I recommend another professor. If math is one your strong subjects then you'll do fine.
This Professor was nice. The homework is online and its open from the first day of class until the last day of class. he doesn't do extra credit, no calculator on exams or final exam (which is a bummer). He tells life stories, some are funny and some are like ok...he definitely is a good professor, he goes over the exam review in class.
He is really bad at teaching; everything is from reading through the textbook and just looking over his work. Exams are not too difficult but make up 85% of the grade for the class. If you take him everything will be self-taught, just know that he sucks and his handwriting is also horrible. I would not recommend if you are not good at math.
Lectures aren't very helpful and handwriting can be hard to read sometimes. There are 4 exams + 1 final worth 85% of grade (all lockdown browser + webcam) w a decent amount of hw. You have to teach yourself, but if you study and do the reviews you'll be fine.
