Extremely knowledgeable and helpful professor who always has time for extra questions. Gives his students always a chance to make up exams and is never too busy to help them succeed.

HE IS THE BEST TEACHER EVER. HE IS VERY HELPFUL, HE MAKES ME WANT TO COME TO CLASS ALL THE TIME. HIS CLASS IS VERY INTERESTING AND FUN.

He's awesome, point blank. Very helpful, breaks mathematics down and makes it easier to understand. His homework is mostly online, seldomly uses the book and gives reviews before the exam. Just show up to class, and take notes. Coming from someone who THOUGHT they weren't good in math, getting an A sure means he must be a good teacher. TAKE HIM.

AMAZING PROFESSOR! VERY HELPFUL You can tell He loves to teach. This is my second time taking MAT1033 I'm passing it with an A. He tries his hardest to help everyone. If you fail an exam he allows extra credit up to 15+ points. It was an honor taking his class. He gets excited, & DOESN'T MOVE ON unless everyone understands. TAKE HIM!

Im taking him right now and I must say he is an amazing professor ,he helps you until you understand it. If you fail a test he lets you redo the ones you got wrong for extra points ,just take his class.

Great professor. I am HORRIBLE at math and I passed with a A. He will repeat himself until you understand, give you reviews before tests and all his homework is online. It's not a walk in the park but you will learn and learn well.

One of the best math professors that there is! You would have to be really lazy not to pass his class. Every day that you come to class you will learn something new, and he tries to help you out anyway he can.

I had failed MAT1033 w/ a different professor before & he was just simply AMAZING. I actually learned in his class & he gives you numerous opportunities to pass.. you can't fail. He lets you re-do tests for a perfect score & drops your lowest test grade! TAKE HIM (his accent is easy to deal with)

omg this is the man!!! I mean no sugar coding if you want to learn math and pass take him. There's no other words to describe this guy and this is coming from somebody who thought they suck at math. He is truly gifted must take!!

If you don't understand math , or hate it because of him you will love it. He goes over something over and over again until you understand it . Also add 15 points on your exams if you go do the ones you got wrong . Very helpful and understanding teacher . Take Him .

I have never rated a professor before but the only reason why I'm rating him is because he simply is the best math teacher and he deserves it. I'm bad at math. He makes it so clear and easy to understand. And he doesn't teach fast (hard to find a teacher like that) Take him. You will wish he can teach every other math out there. He's awesome.

He is alright,I had him for a 12 weeks course, the only bad thing about him is that he will take out a ridiculously huge amount of points out of your grade if you didn't do the whole homework online, I only got A and B in the exams through the semester but I ended up passing with a D...

Prof. Vaillant is an outstanding professor and person. There isn't one question he will not know 5 different ways to answer. I had a 12 week course, and the content was very fast-paced. But in that way he forced us to study and develop a sense of urgency for his class. Amazing professor!

took this class in the summer. has a strong cuban accent. since it was an accelerated class in the summer he goes sort of fast, but its an easy class. participate and he will give you an A. i did. few tests and a final. one test was take home. take notes in class, pretty normal math. go to class oh and you gotta do the onlie mymathlab hw

His classes are really nice. He explains everything very clear. If you have a question, just ask him, he will gladly explain it to you. Awesome teacher.

Loved this professor! I am not a math person at all, and passed this class with an A. He is there to answer any questions you may have and will help you as much as he can.

Has a Cuban accent, but his deep booming voice, along with his extensive math skills makes it stick in your head during a test. Absolutely the best math professor I have ever had.

I never take my time to rate a professor but this time i really need to rate Proferros Vaillant. He is a really good professor. All his explanations are super clear. He gives extra credits that really helps in you grade. The online hw is another good way to get grades, and his tests are easy if you do the study guide.

Great professor! He gives an exam review for each exam which counts as extra credit towards the exam. He encourages questions during lecture and will explain until everyone understands. His exams are all written, but anything that's on it he has gone over in lecture.

He is very caring for his students. If you completed the homework the class was a piece of cake.

I loved this professor. I would most definitely take him again.. although I passed his class with a C, it was my fault. You literally just have to attend his lectures and study for the tests. He gives you a very clear and easy study guide for each test. Honestly he is a great professor, and knows what he's doing. Has a very clear way of explaining.

He's a great professor, yes he does have an accent but I was used to it by the second class. He takes the time to explain everything but if no one has questions he's obviously going to move on. Professor vaillant, is a great professor. He knows how to teach and explains well. You must attend class to in order to pass. You get test reviews before each test which are very helpful. Overall, you just need to pay attention and you'll pass.

If you didn't receive an A it is because you did not practice enough. His lectures are thorough, he gives study guides, extra credit, and online homework. I don't understand what more you can ask from a professor. Attend class, pay attention, practice daily, and you can work for an A. Your grades depends on your effort.

The criteria is difficult no matter what teacher you take. You must apply yourself. He will be tough on those who don't not study and skip class but for those who put the effort, he will go above and beyond to help you when you are struggling. He is a really good professor. The actual content of the class is hard. However, he explained really well and give a lot of chances to the students to have a good grade. I would definitely take him again. I have a lot of difficulties and he helped me with that.

Professor Vaillant is THE BEST math teacher! When i think of math i get anxiety, but he definitely makes it an enjoyable subject. You actually learn and go to his class wanting to learn more. Hello Everyone, well this is the first time that i have written about a professor and well the third attempt for this class(not with him) the first two attempts i was really up for school and i took mac1105 anyways so i didnt pass adding also that my previous professors were not the best either, ( this professor is the best) "study "and done:)

This professor will not only teach you in an understandable way, be if you actually do your work you will pass. I was able to skip the final because since I had gotten an a ok my previous exams, he exmepted it from me.

This class was very straight forward. Since I took it as a 6 week course, he did teach at a face pace, but it was doable. If you study hard, and take really good notes, you will pass (I promise). He gives reviews before every exam, and they're practically the same as the exam. Also, you are exempted from the final if you have an A in his class!!!

Sadly, I did not pass his class but he is an excellent professor. It was due to my own fault for not passing. To avoid failing the class like I did, don't skip his class and do the homework which is online (It's easy) Expect 3 quizes (He drops the lower grade) and the final exam. You're excused from the final IF you have 95% in his class.

He is a wonderful professor! He knows how to teach! He never embarrasses you if you do not know something. He is very supportive. I understand everything with him and it is a hard class. Lots of homework, though. You have to give it a lot of your time and study. If not, you won't pass the class. He always gives you xtra credit to boost your grade!

(1/2) Love this man! I took him for both Trigonometry and Precalculus this semester. His passion for math is notable and he explains everything super clearly! He makes difficult concepts understandable and is always available outside of class if you ask for help.

(2/2) If you want an easy A, this is probably not the best choice. His class IS easy. 4-5 exams (extra credit available), drops lowest grade, mymathlab assignments, and an optional final (if you have over a 95), but you HAVE to pay attention. I wish he taught more classes!

Awesome teacher, explains everything in detail and has an amazing grading scale. Best teacher hands down. Even if you don't like math you will understand and love math. Not to mention, he has a pretty nice mustache.

I had to drop the class because I was failing but he is a very good professor. He will explain the problem 1000 times if he has to for you to understand but you must ask. problem with me was that he tought at a fast paste, tests were not multiple choice, and I did not study as much as i had to. He teaches like 5 different sections per class.

I think that this professor is little tough grader because every time time is in the test paper, you must show all works with every questions. It's totally hateful for me. He will drop your lowest grade and there have 5 exams except final. The online homework is 15%, 5 exams are 60%, and final is 25%.

Profesor Vaillant does his teaching job very well. Before every test, he hands out practice exercises, he drops the lowest grade and if you are present at every lecture and you score high at each test(it's about 5 of them), he may exempt you from taking the final test.

Vaillant is the best professor you could possibly get. He is very passionate about the subject and his lectures are very clear and organized. He also gives extra credit (10 points) for completing one or two exercises for homework. And if you have an average of 95, you don't have to take the final. However, his homework is very long but doable.

BEST TEACHER EVER!!!!!!!!! like oh my goodness, this guy is always ready to teach, if you don't get something do not hesitate to ask him, because he will literally stay after class and explain everything to you all over again. He also gives extra credit! take him and you won't regret it . He made me love math again.

One of the best math professor that I ever had, always ready to explain to you if something is not clear and a great person who is always ready to help. He gives 10 extra credits and drops the lowest of the exams.

Make sure to do your online homework on time. reviews are very very similar to the tests. if you understand the review then you should get an A. His lectures are amazing. Every math teacher should learn from his enthusiasm and passion for teaching math. He drops one test. Overall great professor.

Great professor, hes very passionate about teaching. Seems like an all around good guy. He grabs your attention as soon as you enter the room. I would take his class in a heart beat. The school should give this guy a raise . Listen to me!! My only regret is not taking him sooner.

I am a person who is not really good at math but this professor really TEACH YOU. He is the best teacher ever!H! He takes the time to explain any subject. I have learned a lot in his class. Reviews are exactly like the tests. If you understand the review then you should get an A on the tests(nothing lower than a B). Do the my math lab hw early as well. Do not procrastinate on the annoying my math lab. Do all this and you should get an A.

I took this professor for Mac 1105. He made the course easy to understand with clear notes and problems on the board. He does assign homework but all of it is due at the end of the course. His tests were just like what he taught in class. He gives study guides which are just like his test. You can do the guide you can do the test. Great professor.

This professor is a real example of how a tough class isn't always a bad class. Prof. Vaillant is exceptionally passionate about teaching. He is understanding and willing to help students with difficult situations. I really turned around my grade with his help and enjoyed every minute of his class. It was a tough, but rewarding. He won't let u fail

Professor Vailant is a good dude. I took Trig in 6 weeks over the summer and his course was diligent and fair. He lets us know it was a lot of homework, but all of it was relevant to the exams. Math MyLab is time-consuming but helpful if you complete and review it. Exams were both online and in-class and he helps if you ask. Definitely recommend!

Great professor. breaks the work down numerous of times to make sure you understand. He has office hours where he will help you. he always asks the class"do everybody understand" and would never get mad/frustrated/rude when you dont. I love this professor and if you dont know math i would recommend because he will help you learn. RECOMMEND 10/10

Very good professor, always making sure to ask if everybody understood the examples. If you didn't from the beginning he would repeat the whole thing not upset at all. You HAVE to work on MML, but it's the best way to practice. The reviews for the exams are exactly what is going to be on the exam. This class is not easy, but he helps a lot!!

Very helpful! always willing to answer student questions and does not mind breaking down each math problem. labs were easy to get through and the tests were short and he gives you all the material to pass the tests. definitely made math look a lot easier :)

I took this class during summer, so as you can imagine was a lot in a short period of time. The professor really wants you to learn, he cares about you understanding. Gives a lot of examples and asks for qts and will gladly repeat the same example over and over until you understand. One thing to keep track is my math lab, do your hw accordingly!!!!

I loved having classes with him! He's very passionate about his job and eager to answer questions until you completely understand the subject. He also responds to emails basically within minutes and gives tons of extra credit. His pace can be a intense and lots of homework, but it helps so the tests are a piece of cake as long as you do the hw

Professor Vaillant was one of the best math professors I've taken at MDC. His lectures were very clear and easy to understand, and he never begrudged questions (even if they were from topics in a previous course). He always gave a review packet prior to the test that tracked closely with what was on the test. He is extremely responsive to emails.

We were graded on MyLab HW, four exams, and a final. He dropped the lowest test grade and if you have over a 95, you were exempt from the final. His lectures were very informative/dense and he loves when people ask questions. It could be challenging to communicate with him sometimes, but he cares about his students a lot and will try to be fair.

Great professor, he explains the topics very well. You can reach out by mail to him at any day of the week and he will answer it with 2 hours or delay at most. If you do the online homeworks and the reviews, the test will be very easy. He appreciates effort, so keep that in mind if you want to get along with him

Had Calc 1 and 2 with him. Very good professor who will answer any questions you may have. The homework is a bit tedious but will absolutely help you for the tests. Not easy to get an A, so you will have to study. But you will learn for sure.

he lectures like he's a detective priming you to catch a serial killer but i can't say i didn't learn.

If you do your homework and know your formula it will be easy for you to have good grades, if you are not a serious student don't take it.

He is knowledgeable and very passionate about his work. Lectures are heavy content wise but he explains things very clearly and easily. Tests were very hard for me, it was a lot of content in short amounts of time, however he will provide an extremely helpful study guide that will be similar to the test. It is difficult but you will learn.

He's a great professor, and I learned a lot. Lots of assignments, get ready to do the work. If you don't have time for assignments he's not the professor for you. He answers every question and helps a lot. Considerate professor. I would definitely take another class with him.

Best Math professor I ever had. It is a lot of work and you have to put up the hours but you truly come out learning something. I was scared at first because of the workload but he was attentive, responded to every email and question, and help us with everything. I will try to take MGF 2 with him.

This professor teaches very well. I can say I learned a lot of things in his class. He will pause for questions and will answer any questions a student might have. However, one thing is that he is a tough grader for tests, you need to show work for each question exactly how he teaches or something similar. If you get a hang of that it will be fine.

The teacher isn't bad, he just wants you to study and pay attention. Attendance is required, if you're online your camera needs to be on the whole time. He does teach well and will answer questions you have even if its not what the lesson is on. Whatever he teaches will be on the exams. The homework tho is HELL and tedious. Take the online class!!!

This professor is one of the best I've ever had. This class was my first introduction to college math and I learned so much. You need to complete the quizzes very specifically and ask questions!!! Sure, the class is challenging but you learn so much!
