Dr. j is one of the best profeccors you can take. The only way you can fail his class is if you dont do any work. He give great feed back, and critics you not so harsh during your first 2 speechs. Youll have 2 more speechs and hell be critical because he wants you to be great and competent at speaking!

Docta J! Definitely one of the best professors I've had. He is super funny and super chill. Speeches are a breeze in his class and he gives GREAT feedback. He tells us a lot of stories but it makes you more comfortable and more involved in his class.

He's a great instructor. He tells you what he wants during his speech and outline, and if you don't do it he'll "flunk you" (not really). The only time we go into the textbook is during the quizzes, which are on-line. A lot of times he shows up late, but he never leaves you behind. You are able to leave the class and say you learned something new.

Honestly, I had a blast taking this class! Dr. Jay is hilarious and you will laugh every time you're in his class. He has amazing stories that tie to his lectures that makes them interesting and fun.

Slow grader; do not expect speech outlines to be graded until the end of the semester. Very chill and relaxed and in general is an easy-grader, even when it comes to speeches. Your last speech is a group speech and there is no final. There are 18 quizzes, which most are 15 questions (all of the answers can be found on Quizlet). Great teacher!

I've never been comfortable with public speaking. However Dr J made this class fun. He was very encouraging and sympathetic to those of us there were extremely nervous. If public speaking makes you want to vomit and pass out at the same time the you should definitely take Dr Js speech class, you wont feel that way after!!!

This Class is amazing! I enjoyed everyday I spent in this class. It is easy to pass if you do the work (which is not hard), and you are encouraged to speak and do your best. He will only let you do your speech when you are ready and if you are not he will allow you to come back next class and try again (for points off of course). Would take again.

Dr. J is an awesome professor. He takes stories from personal experiences and puts them into his lectures which make them more interesting. There is 3 speeches but the first one is an introductory speech and it is only 2 minutes long so i don't know if you would really consider that a speech. Make sure you come to class or he takes points away.

Dr. J is a very positive teacher that likes to tell stories, and he maintains a very relaxed atmosphere in the classroom. He doesn't dictate your topics or your tone, just the type of speech (e.g. persuasive). The book is only used for the easy online quizzes. There's a final group project for 25% of your grade, and he does grade for attendance.

I took this class at a campus I usually don't go to, because of my fear of taking speech. Dr J is so funny and does an amazing job at making you feel comfortable along with a lot of flexibility and freedom in speech topics! I was really nervous for speech, but overall this class wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. He is a pretty fair grader and gives good instructions. My first speeches went along without any issues, and I got high grades. However, if you don't do well with group projects, please be aware that there is one that counts as your final!

Dr. J is a really cool dude. He was the only teacher I looked forward to seeing. His class is easy with clear direction. There are 26 quizzes you take on your own time. 4 speeches ( introductory, informative, persuasive, group speech). One downside is that you can't pick your groups for the group speech. He has the computer break up the class.

Dr J is the best teacher I have ever had hands down. He cares about each of us, and he makes a relationship to have us grow during the class. In speech class you will listen to his lectures, and begin to make your own speech. You have till the end of the semester to finish the online quizzes. Make sure you redo them to get 100%.

Very laid back class. Has four speeches, and 1 40-minute group speech as the final. Dr. J grades speeches leniently, but will be fair and provide feedback when necessary. The quizzes can be done at home, and repeated as many times as you'd like taking the highest grade. I would recommend him to anyone who needs the credit.

He's a super nice guy, there are a total on 26 15 question online quizzes open the entire semester, that are based on the book but almost all the answers are online, I have a 97 and never pick up the book. There was 1 group project and 3 individual, fundamentals of speech was super easy and super fun, and Dr.J is a nice guy, I really enjoyable.

It is important to show up to class so you can receive specific information on what not to do for your speeches. Dr. Jackson is a very inspirational professor truly. Not only have I learned to speak better from taking his class, but I have learned to appreciate a lot more things in life from his lessons.

He often changes his mind about things without telling the class and kind of gaslights us about it. Definitely the best choice for speech though.

He was a very good teacher and he was really nice, my only problem was he kept forgetting our class was a hybrid class so he always had to be reminded we only met once a week so we got a little behind and had to rush a bit to catch up, but otherwise he was great.
