I put off this math class as long as I could.Prof.Nikjeh is the best math teacher I've ever had! He teaches exactly what you need to know. He truly cares for each student's success and gives you the tools you need to excel. He is patient, helpful and kind. I really appreciate that he teaches simplistically. He is GREAT!

Esmaail is easily the best professor I've had while at Moorpark College. The math material itself is known to be tough, but Esmaail did a great job at simplifying the conceptual details and ultimately made the class enjoyable. He is also very fair when it comes to the test and homework. You would have to work hard to not do well with Esmaail.

Overall, great professor, but fairly challenging class if you're not interested in computer science. However, if you're a comi sci major, should be a breeze. Great teacher, helpful, fun, and wants you to pass.

Professor Nikjeh is very kind and understanding. He's willing to take late assignments up to the day of the final. Exam's are easy but make sure to read book and review his notes. Programs are simple and he's willing to help you to complete them. Best professor in the CS department in my opinion.

Esmaail's lectures do the miracle work of taking subjects that seems extremely dry and technical on the surface and making it palatable and interesting. He explains the material very well, and goes at just the right pace - not rushing through complicated topics, but not repeating himself unnecessarily either. Highly recommended.

I have had Nikjeh 3 times now, and my opinion of him keeps raising. He was very clear and happy to answer questions, both in the middle/end of lecture and email/OH. Tests were realistic and very doable if you know the material, but not overly easy. He's an asset to Moorpark College, hope he teaches much more!

Esmaail is an extremely helpful professor. His methods of teaching far surpass the other intro to programming professors. In this class, I learned a lot about programming in C++ and made many programs. To keep it short, I don't think that there could have been a better intro to computer programming professor.

I've learned SO much and, suddenly, comp sci feels accessible for someone as humanities-minded as myself. My favorite professor to date. If you're new to coding, it's still possible to get an A in this class. His lectures are entertaining as he himself his entertaining. If you skip class, you may miss out on a crucial concept and will make the homework much harder. Though he does post his lecture notes and all the code he wrote in class on Canvas.

Professor Nikjeh is a tremendous instructor! While being so intelligent, he is so humble and caring. He does care about attendance, but only for the fact that he really wants his students to learn the material. Tests are designed for students to apply concepts rather than memorize definitions which can get tough at times. He curved every test 10% !

He is very inspirational as well. I really enjoyed having him. I wish he taught other subjects here at pierce other than math.

This is the clearest, most helpful professor I have ever had. Period. Some of his assignments are harder for a lower level class, but they're doable and you learn a lot in one semester. He's very good at helping you understand the "why's" on everything CS, which helps the information stick much better. Go out of your way to take classes with him.

Tests can sometimes have a few tricky question but read the text book he gives via pdf and his print out lectures and youll do fine. Professor Nikjeh is a great professor. I took his python programming class and found it easy to balance my job w his class. Many teachers punish students for absences, but Nikjeh doesn't care as long as you learn the material, and do the homework. At least for his programming classes, it seems he does 1or2 homework assignment per week. Curves tests

Professor Nikjeh is very knowledgeable, explains difficult concepts well, is an engaging lecturer, and makes a large class work. He is incredibly friendly, accessible and inspirational.

C++ is a difficult language to learn and he made it as easy as possible and answers questions. Class is only lecturing which gets a little boring but you learn a lot if you pay attention. When studying for the exam I recommend reading the notes he posts, they really help. Great professor, really cares.

He was understanding and wouldn't lecture the entire class period, though it was a lot of note taking anyway. Typically he would lecture and give an in-class lab. He grades slowly but is lenient as long as you follow instructions. He was also very lax with exam dates, and adjusted the schedule as needed. Overall a very chill class and professor.

Best professor I ever had in Moorpark. Dude is what cemented my decision to stay in CS instead of change major. He is super nice, and extremely helpful. He gets along very well with the students and is a fantastic teacher.

Professor Nikjeh is a gem, he has great command over the subject and the topic. Puts a lot of effort in teaching, explains the topic with an ease. Attendance is mandatory to understand the topic. Some of the assignments were tough, but you have to do them in order to learn. Love to take his class again.

Highly recommend for the beginning a computer science education with Nikjeh. He makes learning CS meaningful and empowering to even the most novice computer scientist. I genuinely looked forward to Nikjeh's lectures, they are informative and engaging, not to mention funny. I learned web design and some C++ programming in the course.

Nikjeh's lectures do the miracle work of taking subjects that seems extremely dry and technical on the surface and making it palatable and interesting. He explains the material very well, and goes at just the right pace - not rushing through complicated topics, but not repeating himself unnecessarily either. Highly recommended.

He is willing to help you as much as possible, he is extremely caring, and he wants you to succeed. Nikjeh is great at explaining material that at first glance looks like an intimidating mess of numbers and symbols. Lectures are easy to follow and interesting, the homework is intuitive and immersive. He's also very approachabl and wants to help you succeed. If you're scared of comp sci, there's no better teacher. I'm staying in CS because of him.

Relatively easy class, Nikjeh gives all the necessary material needed for each quiz/test. Put in the effort and you can get an A. I recommend retrying the examples he does in class to prepare.

Prof. Nikjeh is a caring & overall great. His lectures are very helpful, especially when explaining each chapter, so don't skip class! He is so kind, genuinely understands what a student is going through. He will prepare you for the final but you will need to prepare yourself as well. Overall he embodies the ideal of what you want a teacher to be.

HE IS THE BEST TEACHER! He is sooooo nice, and kind and caring. His class isn't easy, I mean CS classes are always hard. But even if you are not a CS major, he makes class easy and his notes are great and easy to follow. Would take him again and again.

Excellent teacher (probably the best teacher I've had). Knows his stuff and totally willing to help. He really wants his students to do well and succeed. Over all the class was not easy, but it was worth it. Listen to what he says, there are no twist or turn or surprises when it comes to exams. It's straight forward.

Prof. Nikjeh is an amazing professor. I would suggest going to class, as he explains topics really well. The Homework gets a lot harder and more time consuming as the class progresses, but as long as you go to class you shouldn't have too much trouble. Tests are not too bad either, just a bit of a time crunch. 10/10.

His lectures are boring... And that's the only bad thing about him. He is super wholesome, very kind and very helpful. He also seems like an easy grader. On exams (at least in CS M01) the formula for his curve percentage is 100 minus the second-highest score. He actively tried to not overload us with too much stuff and usually ended class early.

Professor Nikjeh goes above and beyond to teach us the material. Im a CSUN student and specifically go to Moorpark College just to take his classes, even classes I don't need. this guy legit said he would teach us these classes even if he wasn't getting paid, that's the kind of dedication he has as a professor and we need more like him!

DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE HIM. He is very lecture-based but his tests are built off the lectures and homework. He is very negotiable when it comes to your grade and he is very well respected in his field. He also knows his stuff and helps struggling students in his office hours. Also, he lets you eat in class if you are quiet. That's a mega bonus.

As long as you show up to class, raise your head a few times, and actually try to complete the assignments, Nikjeh will help you out at the end of the semester. Even if you don't have to take a CS class for your major, TAKE THIS CLASS. Nikjeh is always unbelievably jazzed to be programming. Huge inspiration. I changed my major to CS because of him. Very clear, thorough teaching, clearly cares about student success. Builds excellent relationships with students, funny, recommendation letter,easy to approach.

As far as teachers go, He is absolutely top tier. Never met a teacher cared so much about his students. The class is fast paced, he is awesome though, always there to answer questions, makes sure to go over challenging topics multiple times. I would recommend him to anyone. He is there for you school-wise & he is also there for you life-wise.

Prof. Nikjeh provided videos, lectures documents, and tutoring sessions 2-3 times per week. It's challenging for me since it's my first code class. But you can pass the class as long as you put time and effort into your study. The Prof. was very experienced and responded to questions quickly and always gave plenty of details, super supportive.

Professor Nikjeh is my favorite professor I've encountered during my three years at Moorpark. Usually, online asynchronous classes are tough, but he made it so clear what was due and when. He also really cares about his students - he offered office hours five different times throughout the week. I am definitely going to take a class from him again.

Absolutely great teacher. He knows his stuff and is more than willing to break everything down for you. I came in there not even knowing what code looked like, and I left with the ability to trace and code by hand with ease. He was very helpful and replied to emails promptly.

Professor Nikjeh takes the time to explain the concepts thoroughly, taking notes is really easy. This class this semester is particularly odd though because it is in a lecture hall with no computers. Biggest critique is that he will go several weeks without grading any assignments, so you don't really know how you are doing in the class

Absolutely great Prof., so many chances to improve your grade, Coding tutoring was very helpful and held twice a week. Maybe I was just slow and need more time in getting better, it moved a little fast for me. He and the TAs are very sweet. Good class.

Has a really great teaching style and engaging personality. He actually engages and presents code clearly. It's all Python, but his teaching is easy enough for beginners to pick up and yet gets challenging enough for those with previous experience. Great for CS courses and non-CS majors as well.

He's the best option for the CS courses because his lectures are clearly curated for people with no experience in coding. The homework will prepare you well for the relatively tests. Each HW and Lab had 10 points. He also extended deadlines of assignments so you have plenty of time to do them. There are plenty opportunities to get extra credit.

The professor is very nice, he explains material in a simple way with examples, I never learn Python before but his lectures help me understand the Python like learning a new language. Honestly, take his class if you want to learn Python. Lowest test gets drop too!

Greater professor! Super good introduction to coding and goes very slowly to help people with no coding experience. Class starts off slow but starts to pick up in like week 6. Do the HW's and go to the class and you'll be fine. Lectures are actually very helpful and you can even watch the lectures. Everything is recorded and posted as well. 10/10

I thought the material was difficult, but I really liked how it was organized and distilled in the lectures with engaging examples. I also liked how he demonstrated how to fix errors in his coding examples, it really helped. Great class.

Nikjeh was super clear about all of the grading criteria, tests were entirely based on what was covered in class which could all be found in the lectures and class activities so tests were pretty clear. gave extra points when one problem stumped a lot of people on one exam.

Literally probably one of the nicest and most caring professors I will ever have in my life. Even if you're struggling, which you most likely won't be, you can text him or stay after class and he will give you his full, undivided attention. He won't give up on you.
