Super helpful person. IS always around to answer quesitons, and will bring stuff to class the next time if it was unclear before. She might be a little scattered sometimes (I think she really knows her stuff, but gets flustered by dumb questions), but I would definitely take another class from her!

She was definitely challenging, but i also definitely learned the most ever in math since taking her. A lot of homework but it only helps you understand the concepts.If she was not so thorough i would be falling behind in 150

Prof. Medrano has been the best teacher i have ever had. She is hard and requires alot of work from you, but if you are a determined student you will receive a good grade in her class and depending on how committed to math she does Saturday morning tutoring. What a dedicated teacher!

Professor Medrano is an amazing teacher. She's always there to help you if you need it. She does give a lot of homework but it's math we're talking about. This is college, it's expected to be difficult so it's no walk in the park. She has standards, which she states the first day of class so as long as you meet them and study then you'll be fine!

she is a great teacher! she will work as hard as you do in the class...i've taken her for both math 20 and 29..i am also taking her for 130 in the summer!! GREAT TEACHER! but yes you do have to work...MATH IS ALL ABOUT WORK!! do your hw and understand it YOU WILL GET AN A JUST LIKE ME :]

This teacher was great! She does assign a lot of homework, but just do all the homework take good class notes and you'll do just fine. Get extra tutoring if you need too as well. But overall i loved her teaching method. she really helped me, and I'm horrible at math

Fabulous professor! She is strict on form but this helped me make less mistakes. She is very thorough & has us do practice problems in class period & checks them, this helped me a lot b/c if i didnt undrstnd something she made it clear & showed me what i was doing wrong. Including great feedback on tests/hw. I aced the class, thats new 4 me.

Great teacher. very helpful. her test are not hard take good notes and study from them. she does give plenty of homewrok though. She explains clearly.

today was my last day!! she does help you when you ask her for help. she helped me after class, during class if you have a question she will help you too. she is not easy but if you ask her question when you are confused she will make sure you understand. and the final exam is made by all math teachers so its not hard at all!!

I took this class online which made things alittle harder than i think it would have been if it was on campus. I got the grade i deserved. People on here complain alot and it's not true. the only thing i agree with is that she doesn't answer emails right away. If things move to fast tutoring is probably the way to go.

I was horrible at math in h.s.(bad teachers),but with Medrano I learned alot! She is the best math teacher I've ever had. She's crystal clear and concise. She's approachable and doesn't make u feel stupid for not understanding something. She gives lots of homework but it really helps if ur bad at math. She is fair U get what u deserve in her class

I took her for math 20/29 fast track, and she is a very nice professor that gives clear lessons and encourages students to come into her office for help with homework, exams, etc. Attendance is mandatory, but overall she is a really amazing professor and I recommend her! I use to hate math, but now I enjoy it!

I took her for fast track math 20/29, and I am thankful that I did. Her lessons are clear and helpful. She is huge on notation and attendance is mandatory. But overall, she is the best math teacher I have ever had, I strongly recommend her.

She is the best math teacher I have ever had...in my life! She does give out a lot of homework, but if she didnt, how else would you learn? I am taking her Math 20/29 fast track, and I hope she teaches Math 130-150!

she makes you lose interest in class because she can go on and on with even the easiest problems. sometimes rather confusing because the mores she talks about a problem the more it doesn't make sense.

She gives a lot of homework...but that helps me out...she keeps it real...if your looking for the easy way out don't take her.

She is one of the best professors at Citrus. Explains all the information thoroughly and willing to meet with students who need extra help after class. She assigns a lot of homework, but it helps in grasping the information. I hated math before taking her and now sort of enjoy it.

EXCELLENT instructor. Gives a lot of homework. Quizes and tests usually come from problems in the book. VERY helpful at all times. If you took this class and failed, its because you are a poor student. You only have yourself to blame.

Although Ms. Medrano did explain things well,she was a little unreasonable. Absolutely NO extra credit and she acts as though you don't have any other classes with all the homework she assigns. I would only recommend if you were going to school part time!

I can't stand math, but she made it fun. One of the best professors at Citrus by far. She assigns a ton of homework but it really comes in handy when it comes time for the tests. She seems to genuinely care for her students and is willing to help students away from class time. Highly recommended

Mrs. Medrano is a very good teacher, she knows her material very well. She can be difficult,but is always willing to help. She does give a lot of homework. She is very strict about attendance and also strict about showing all steps to a problem. But she is definately a teacher you can learn a lot from. I would highly reccommend her!

Mrs. Medrano is one of the best math teachers I've ever had. She's incredibly challenging, and a good teacher. The material is hard, but she is extremely willing to help anyone who asks. You have to put in the effort to get a good grade. She will not do it for you.

Fantastic teacher. Class by all means is not an easy topic to learn and i think people who have harsh reivews didnt want to put the effort in. She is extremely helpful and knows alot! She does say "do you agree?" but if you dont....say something..thought that was implied. Excelent teacher! Everyone should take her! Youll learn a lot!

I'm currently taking Mrs. Medrano she is the BEST math professor on campus take her she is so helpful,sweet,caring and is always there to help you the exams & quizzes aren't bad as long as you study and do homework you'll do good.the test & quiz questions are the same as the H.W take her you wont regret it and I highly recommend her!

Took Medrano for fast track 30 and 150. She gives a lot of homework but it prepares you for quizzes and test. She gave 2 quizzes a week, we covered 1 chapter a day. The class moves very quickly its definitely not for everyone. She will help you if you ask . I recommend taking her if you are willing to put in work.

She will post a lot of sample problems on the board and gives step-by-step explanations. Very straightforward, but pay attention. She assigns a decent amount of homework, I recommend doing it all because it's good practice. She will meet during office hours if you need help with something so don't hesitate to meet with her.

I'm taking an accelerated course and it's not easy but she is always there to help. She is very up front about the class and does not sugar coat anything. If you listen to her and do as you are told you will pass the class with a good grade. She is always willing to help and she pushes hard to make sure you get the basics so it is easier later.

She is a little tough. The test sometimes don't match the reviews that's the biggest thumbs down for me. Like the test were harder than the questions we reviewed. Still she stayed on task and up to date with chapters. I know some teachers get sloppy and fall behind but with her she is a little more organized. Another thing notes are everywhere

Best math teacher. just learn how to do it her way. it's easier in the long run. she is very honest and up front. you can tell she actually cares about students and where they are all going.

I took the accelerated class and she moves at a very fast pace. Although she is helpful and cares that you pass she does give a lot of homework and it is tough. so are midtermsfinal. quizzes are easy. Work hard and dedicate a lot of time to your work and you won't have trouble in the class. Also, be sure to always STUDY! she is very smart & funny.

I LOVED Dr. Medrano, shes an amazing teacher. she cares about her students and all she wants from you is to work hard, stay focused, and pass. if math is not your strongest subject, i highly recommend you take her. I failed trying to pass Math 130 twice, prior to this class. My only option left before having to go to a different school was the Math 30 & Math 50 fast track course... I've never understood math the way I do now until taking Prof. Medrano. She's an amazing teacher and person and I recommend her if you want a great experience in your math course.

Awesome person, not a teacher, she is Professor. Caring person, also you would learn because she goes the extra mile in teaching. Professor like Esmeralda Medrano are the ones that make student want to become better no only in math but also in life. Dios la bendiga.

This is the first math class that I have ever received an A and I believe it was because of the professor. She really emphasizes attendance, but everything that she covers in her lectures is so clear that you learn all the material. Very doable amount of homework that is very relevant to quizzes and exams. mymathlab purchase required to pass.

Don't pay for the textbook you won't use it. Grades on a straight scale and teaches with examples. Tells you what to expect since the start. This class is not an easy A!!! If you don't like doing a lot of homework do not take this class!! And if you're bad at math don't take it! If you like math then this class is easy!

When I signed up for this class, I didn't know the first thing about statistics. Now I have more confidence because Professor Medrano's lectures were clear, and she made sure we all understood the material. She gave us chapter reviews before exams, and was always available for office hours. Professor Medrano cares about her students.

I took her summer Math 140 class and although it was aloall work at first once you get into the rhythm of things; The class becomes fun. She was always professional and always spoke to you like a human. I miss her class.

I took her 2 of her classes. Math 030 and Math 150. As long as you do the homework and quizes, the tests will come easy to you. She is a fair grader. Will get points for doing the "work" part of the problem correctly even if you get the answer wrong. Replies quick to emails. Always available when you need help.

Dr. Medrano was great! By far the best lecturer in Math I've had, I actually understood her and was more than willing to pause and explain. She was funny too which was nice to ease the tension math brings upon. Super inspiring to see a woman of color teach math, representation matters folks!

Mrs. Medrano has been my favorite professor at citrus so far. She knows the criteria and will make you learn everything. She has a lot of work which is expected in any math class. She's helpful in every way, she's also funny to help with your mental stress during the class. Great professor all around!

Lectures are easy to follow. Homework is graded based on two randomly chosen problems after she collects the homework. Do and understand the homework to do well on the quizzes and exams.

I took stats one time already and I completely failed. It was so hard and difficult but then I took it online so different and easy. It really helps when you learn how to use stat crunch, and my stat lab. There is homework every wee but it inst too hard at all because I remember from my last class.. I had Professor Medrano for Linear Algebra and really enjoyed the class. Her lectures and very clear and the homework is very connected to both the lecture and test material. Her exams were fairly challenging but doable. She expects you to work hard, but it is definitely not an impossible class. I would take her again if given the chance.

If I could take every math class from Professor Medrano I would. The way she set her class up (multiple attempts to answer homework questions, multiple attempts at quizzes and tests, adding points for scratch work) shows that she wants her students to learn and gave me a chance to succeed. Loved it, 10/10, amazing - but you have to put in the work.

Grades quizzes & exams. The homework is your responsibility to do it and practice no credit. Tough grader but actually teachers. She will help you during office hours and break every problem step by step.She does expect you to know calculus1 & algebra knowledge without it you will fall behind. Take the regular class avoid Hybrid. STUDY UNIT CIRCLE.

Professor Medrano's class is challenging, but she wants students to learn. The format, with multiple attempts on homework and tests, gives you a chance to succeed if you put in the work. Unstuck study was a lifesaver for extra practice.
