Professor Davi has the teaching prowess to take a complicated subject like intro to psychology and transform it into meaningful bite-sized bits that are academically easy to digest. Her patience with the class and her wealth of knowledge made it easy for me to internalize, as opposed to memorizing, the information presented in the class.

Professor Davi is AWESOME! She is down-to-earth and an incredible instructor. She invites you to participate in discussions about the material and is very positive. She is very approachable and wants you to succeed. She really cares about the success of her students. I wasn't interested in Psychology before taking this class, now I am. The Best!

Ms. Davi is by far the best professor I've ever had. I knew I liked psychology but after taking her class I'm literally in love with the subject. She's easy to talk to and she cares about her students success. She gives 4 tests, 4 quizzes, and she gives a few extra credit assignments in between. So long as you read your textbook you will pass.

Davi is fun to listen to, animated, and passionate about psychology. Lectures are straight from the book. Do a lot of text book reading/studying/memorizing, if you want to pass her class. I got an "A" in both psych 10/11. Davi has certain charisma! Very attractive woman. So, gentlemen, be wary of your thoughts drifting during her lectures.

Professor Davi is a wonderful instructor, very knowledgable and caring. Go to every class, pay attention and take notes. There was no homework, some extra credit, a short paper, and four tests. Use the handouts she gives to study for the tests and don't try to study for the test the night before and expect to pass. The tests are not easy.

Class was pretty easy, definetley take her if your looking for an easy A or B. She hands out study guides before every exam, if you do the study guides (which aren't hard) and read a bit from the book, you'll get an A fursure. I didn't even listen to any lectures just did study guides and read and got an A in the class.

Davi Hands out packets for the course, so you will have a good idea what will be on the test, she is very straight forward, do all extra credit, follow assignments, study the packet, and read the text book, and you should do well.

I hate easy A classes, but this was great. Info was presented in a straight forward way and lectures aided in retention. Study guides and online resources enabled me to ace every test with almost no preparation. Only had to write one easy short paper. Soooo much extra credit too. If you fail Prof. Davi's class, maybe college isn't for you...

Davi is a great lecturer. Showing up to class is not mandatory but she is a good teacher. The lectures are always interesting and the grading is clear cut. If you do not do well on tests DO NOT take this class.

Great professor. Knows what she's teaching. As long as you answer the questions on her SLO's by using the textbook, you will ace her class. All her quizzes are optional and count as extra credit which makes it very hard to not do well in the class. I ended with over a 100% in her class. Wonderful teacher! :)

Ms. Davi is one of the best professors I've ever had -- well prepared, caring and inspirational, down to earth when talking about the real world. Course outline covers it all, and her explanation of how you earn your grade alleviates (or should) any surprises. Just one paper, plus you can earn easy extra credit. She is beautiful, too. whew!

An amazing teacher, and is very experienced in teaching psychology. Excellent at engaging students in conversation and uses pictures and videos to support her lectures. She is clear and precise in her assignments and testing studies, so if you just pay attention and follow directions, it is an easy A. Great professor highly recommend the class!

Excellent grading criteria! You always know where you stand. Her SLO's are exactly what will be on the test. She drops the lowest score from one of your tests, so if you miss a test that's considered your lowest score. She is super organized to be more efficient. Wish all professors were like this. I took it in the summer and I'm glad I did.

Davi is straight-forward, no nonsense type of professor. She has a very clear agenda for what happens on what day. No homework is a huge plus, but expect to study your butt off because everything needs to be memorized for bi-weekly tests and exams. Lectures get super boring and drawn out, other than that, solid choice.

She gives a lot of extra credit opportunities, do them all you will thank yourself later. 4 mid terms, drops lowest score. Lectures weren't that entertaining, I felt that I taught myself better by just studying the PowerPoint packets & using the only resources for practice tests. (Use Wiley-home) and test questions are very similar to her test.

LOVE Professor Davi people will tell you not to take her but I sincerely think otherwise. Her lectures were amazing and kept me engaged every class. Show up, do your assignments and you'll pass.

AMAZING PROFESSOR! gives A LOT of extra credit! and does not want u to fail at all!u only have to worry about studying for midterms and quizzes (quizzes r extracredit) there is no homework and class is basically lecture. Easy A overall if u read the book! she also hosts study groups before midterms, GO!

Took Professor Davi in the Summer, she is an amazing professor and she is such a great person. You will pass the class as long as you attend lectures. If you want an A you have to work really hard towards it, it was one of the hardest classes that I have taken, but worth it. Gives 25 possible extra credit points, 3 tests, final, and 1 paper.

You have four midterms and one final (your lowest midterm score is dropped), there are no makeups on exams, so use your lowest score wisely, if you miss its a zero. As long as you read the assigned pages the class is an easy A , especially considering the amount of EC opportunities she gives! i think there are 6 so around 30 free points.

Make sure to really study the SLO powerpoints then go from the powerpoints to study in the textbook! To be honest, I wouldnt have gotten the grade I did if I didnt study/read the textbook. Shes a great person and I always enjoyed being in her class. Make sure to really study because the extra credit does so much for your grade.

Extremely well organized. Grading criteria clear with extra credit available. Amazing lectures, very knowledgeable. Will do study groups and meet with you whenever you need to. Syllabus tells you everything you need to know.

Professor Davi is great! I recently took her summer course and although I did study for her midterms she gives a lot of opportunity to pass the class . For instance she drops your lowest test grade ( the not final) & gives a lot of EC , so do it! Also recommend taking course over summer she even said students tend to do better.

Professor Davi was so supportive, especially during this time when we are experiencing the COVID-19 pandemic. It was extremely difficult to just jump into doing class completely online, but she made it enjoyable and informative even from home. She was incredibly understanding to the situation, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

So I know what alot of the reviews say. But I took her class during an effing Pandemic and Professor Davi was awesome. Yes you need to read. READ AND READ. Davi gives you slides per chapter but they are supplements to the chapters. So read. She tells you all this by the way, first day of class. This is not an easy A, but its worth it! Shes a gem!

Professor Davi was supportive during this difficult pandemic. Lectures and such went completely online. She was clear and concise with what was expected. I enjoyed her teaching style and would take a class that she taught in the future if it were possible. Future students: Do the extra credit assignments that are offered!

Estelle is Considerate, Knowledgeable, she knows and stuff and tries to impact her knowledge on her students, she's is always willing to help her students in their areas of weakness, and she's open to suggestions and feedback. Very clear with all information that was uploaded to canvas. Summer semester during a pandemic is rough however she was very supportive by facilitating zoom conferences and uploading short lecture videos via Youtube.

Hands down the easiest class I have ever taken. Ended up with a 97%. She is a really sweet professor!! Do every extra credit quiz and make flashcards for the test (really study the definitions) and you'll be fine!! Although I showed up, attendance is not mandatory. I recommend getting the book but if you don't want to pay, you don't need it.

Davi is an amazing professor! She truly cares about her students, but you still have to put in the work. You don't need the book, but you do need to review her study guide and Lecture slides! Open book test each week after reading one chapter per week. Her final is just on the last chapter you guys will review together.

I have never took a online course but after attending this class I think now that online courses are very unrated! This class was very well organized. Grading criteria extremely clear. Provides extra help in private zoom meetings if needed for more understanding. Syllabus tells you everything you need to know about the course.

Mrs Davi was an amazing professor. Her study guides are amazing because she has questions on study guides related to the tests that were posted once a week. I loved the extra credit assignments and all the videos for extra credit assignments. The only problem is the fact she doesn't use power points. Other than that I would take her class again.

Davi has been one of my strongest professors this semester, since we are still working mostly online this semester has been a little harder than usual. This teacher made herself available and was very attentive. She communicated often and made important information easy to access. I really enjoyed the personable quality of her teaching style!

Zooms if online are optional, she has lecture slides that are very straight forward and is willing to review them in her zoom hours. She replays so fast and is always willing to help. Though she may have a lot of students she always manages to help everyone the best she can. Honestly you guys should take her, she's quite a nice person too.

Words can't express how much I enjoyed this class. I really appreciated how she gave us emails in regards to when assignments were due weeks ahead and also days ahead. I had a good semester with professor Davi, she gives opportunities for extra credit, uploads documentaries that could help us understand a topic easily, conducts zoom meetings for each topic explanation, though I won't be able to take her class next semester, I will still recommend her class for anyone who would want to understand PYCH011 better.

She is very patient and very understanding. Shes a nice teacher to have and doesnt make it hard for you. A great introduction to the field of psychology.

Professor Davi is a very nice teacher, although we have quizzes every week but we do not have EXAMS! exams are not hard if you study. She gives couple of discussion board with videos to watch from TED talk which are inspirational. She also give extra credits and zoom meeting every week but not mandatory. she wants everybody to succeed and not fail.

Prof Davi is an amazing teacher. She genuinely cares for her students and wants them to be successful. Our class was completely online but she is has optional zoom sessions for questions. Study guides given. She's open to feedback. There is plenty of extra credit. Supplemental material so you have a good grasp of the content.

She was simple and clear. It was "here is your study guide, here is your quiz - it's due on Sunday". She put it on us to learn and opened zoom or her emails to chat with her. If you study you will do well. She gives plenty of time for quizzes. If you buy an older edition book you will have to look up info (you can get away with it in this course)

Weekly tests, all due on Sundays. You'll need to take a LOT of notes (from the ppt) and fill in whatever needs more clarification from the textbook. If you study well, tests aren't too hard. All tests are 25 multiple choice questions with an hour time limit. If you've taken an HS psych class it'll be even easier since a lot of it is just recap.

Modules were easy to follow, and every week was basically the same: read a chapter, watch a few lectures online, and take a test. The occasional discussion post came up, but it was very easy. Amazing professor. Super sweet and caring. Easy class to follow!

Every week there was a new module to do, with a quiz that would be due every Sunday. This means there was no midterm or final, which I liked about the class. If you don't have time to read the chapter, I suggest looking over the slides she creates over and over and you'll be fine for the quizzes. Plenty of opportunity for extra credit.

This was an online class, Test on each chapter every week. the SLOs are very helpful when it comes to tests. make sure you do your reading, the main info is in the SLOs. If you have the opportunity to take her class, don't hesitate.

Prof Davi is so nice! lectures align directly to quizzes, a very easy going prof and class, class work was light, only one quiz a week with a couple extra credit opportunities but you probably won't need it, I recommend if you're looking for a lighter workload/ less stressful class

Had her for fall semester and I loved her. She gives amazing feedback on discussion posts, and will host zoom hours weekly to check in and ask questions, always responded very swiftly to emails as well. At the end of every week, you'll take a quiz which were fairly easy. You'll read just a chapter every week, which can be time consuming, loved her!

Professor Davi's Psychology class is very straightforward. In the hybrid format, she lectures once a week, and most of the work is done online (textbook readings, Powerpoints, quizzes, TED Talks). The material is clear, and there are plenty of extra credit opportunities. Overall, it's an easy class with a supportive professor.

The easiest yet still informational psych class I've taken online. No big tests or finals, just 25 question quizzes every week. Did read from the textbook quite a bit and she offered extra credit assignments. Good class to take if you need psych but not a crazy heavy class.

Class is easy if you do the work. Weekly quizzes are simple with the resources she provides. Study guides and slides are very helpful so you don't NEED the textbook. Extra credit is offered often, so take advantage. I will say lectures are long and boring, with little participation, but passing is easy. There are also a few discussion boards also.

Wonderful professor, she often sends inspirational and caring messages to the class. Quizzes and assignments make up your entire grade so it's easy to study and prepare. All instructions are clear and understandable.

All the reviews below are extremely accurate. I do have to say that though, her lectures were sometimes boring. I spaced out multiple times and ended up skipping class. However, the professor is such a sweet heart, I love reading her motivational emails she sends out now and then.

Professor Davi is a really nice professor, honestly I enjoyed her class despite it being completely online. No big quizzes and she offers extra credit to make up for the assignments (quiz) you miss. I love the emails she would give us, and responds to our discussions with good insightful responses. I would take her again if I had the chance!

Def learn the material for the weekly quizzes because she will not under any circumstances round up your grade (speaking from experience), even if it's less than 1%. However the class itself is pretty straightforward as she unlocks a new module every week with a quiz at the end of it. She gives nice feedback and seems like a really nice person.

One of the best instructors at LMC. The class is well-organized -- power point presentations, extra credit opportunities, discussion assignments, more. Her feedback is kind and inspirational! I was in her hybrid course. She is not boring, asks questions, engages class with good questions/activities, but my classmates simply did not participate.

Super simple course. Took it for nursing prereq and received an A. Online class required little to no participation but I still learned so much. Her emails are extremely encouraging and she seems like a nice lady. Class was simple with one quiz each week and that is ALL. We didn't even have a final. Take her course!

I would definitely take her class, while there is a quiz every week they are easy, the only thing is that she provides a study guide but it does not have everything that will be on the test.

My only issue with this class is that the weekly quizzes are opened on Friday morning at 8am and close Sundays at 11:59, which left me to find time to complete all the work for that week on the weekend. I emailed her letting her know I'd be going on a trip over the weekend for either early release of the quiz or late submission, and she said no.
