I took this teacher last year and it was hell! First of all, she doesnt teach anyone, nor is she helpful or interesting. She is literally horrible! Second, don't take her!What a dumbass!

This class has officially ruined my semester. Martinez is by far the worst teacher i have ever had in my entire life. She should not be allowed to teach. her syllabus is 20 PAGES LONG!!! who does that?

This profesor was the worst one I ever had. She was unclear in class when we went over the literature. I should have had a B in the course, but she gave me a C-. When I e-mailed her about my grade, she ignored me. Do not take her if you do not have to.

worst teacher in the history of teaching. so hard, expects you to just learn spanish. she does about 2 chapters a week and gives tons of quizes. failed me. wouldnt help me wiht anything. total jerk. hate her. loves blackboard

This is a ridiculous class. Every week there is a quiz of 120 questions. She does not know how to teach. If you need to take a spanish class this is not the professor to take unless you are willing to lower your GPA.

Don't take her! Fight for any other teacher. She gives quizzes every week and teaches two lessons a week. Not a people person and doesnt care what you have to say. She curves big tho, I got 30s on all my quizzes but passed with a D+ but she will make you hate Spanish forever. Don't take her!!

WORST PROFESSOR EVER!has no idea what is going on in the book,has to read up while in class,returns work two months after it is handed in and usually with coffee stains on it,thinks she is the authority on many subjects and its her way or no way,i hope i never have to take her again,avoid her...

She is the absolute worst. Her first test was easy but then she makes the rest like we were born in puerto rico or something. She is nuts. If you want to pass DO NOT TAKE HER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I remember 1 time after the final she mumbled under her breath that the class was a bunch of white porkers. Since the white ppl in America were all fat. She also said in her country they boycotted fat ppl and sent them to fat farms. The oter raters are correct her favorite phrase is me no remberrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

She is the worst. Drop out FAST. She is mean, she curses at the class. She looses all your work. She fails white people. She makes fun of people who have difficulty. Remembers nothing. She looses your tests. Gives back nothing. Tells you your doing great and fails yah - dont waste your time w appeal - she wont do it. She lies constantly.

I greatly suggest that you do not take her as a professor. She knows the material, but doesn't know a thing about teaching a class. She won't think twice about failing you. Take my advice and choose someone else and if you already have her...good luck.

She doesn't teach! She expects you to know everything right off the bat and doesn't slow down...I took Spanish in high school and still know a little but by the second week I was completly lost...don't waste your time! I just dropped the class

This class was hell! I had to do more work in this class than I had to for my major courses. Tons of homework-Tests are SO hard-class moves VERY quickly! You have to devote at least an hour or two per night just to understand the material. NOT WORTH IT!!!!!

RUN!! RUN away from this professor. She is one of the best examples of why WPU has no respect as a university. She is totally rude to her students. She didn't give us the syllabus until the 2nd month of class and then didn't follow it. She was always late or didn't show up. She doesn't have one unique thought about Spanish lit.

Very tough teacher. She assumes Spanish should come as easily to everyone else as it does to her. If you already have a decent grasp on the language you might do ok. But if you're Spanish isn't that strong avoid her class!!!

Honestly, her class is so hard. She's a horrible professor. She doesn't teach, all she does is read out of the textbook and expects you to understand it. Someone in my class complained to the board about how horrible she is.

Moves way too fast through the textbook. She gets mad when people ask her to repeat things more than twice, especially oral sections on tests. The department final was very difficult, make sure you know your vocab! Martinez even stated she saw the final before it was administered and did not give students any tips or hints on what she saw.

She cannot teach the Spanish language. Everyone in her class failed all of the quizzes. She did not prepare anyone for the final. She did not reveal the grade of the final exam. She is a horrible teacher. Do not take ANY of her classes.

Just because she can speak the Spanish language, doesnt mean that she can teach it.

She is the least professor you wanna take!! Even SPN majors do not take her!! First day gives you an 8-paged-paper to answer wc is due the next class already and obviously there's a bunch of HW to do as well. NOT RECOMMENDED unless you want a poor grade on your transcript!!!

She is a very difficult teacher. I would not reccomend taking her. If you get stuck with her, automatically go for tutoring and accept that your grade is going to be very low. Her tests are very difficult and not related to the key vocabulary words in the text.

She does not know how to teach! Gives crazy amount of assignments that are almost impossible to do because she does not explain the material clearly. She expects us to basically be fluent in Spanish, although it is Spanish 1. Her lessons are too advanced for the class she is taking. Avoid at all costs !

Do not take Esther unless you want to feel overwhelmed and overworked. Coming from an individual who never learned spanish, martinez was very tough because she expected a above average understanding right at the start. I passed the class due to excessive extra credit in which she stopped offering.
