Had her for lab. Nice lady. When she lectures it does get a bit boring. When doin the labs she will answer all questions you have. Will give you extra time if needed to hand in work. Her tests are fair. Also will take time to review for lecture exams.

This class is absurdly easy. 3 multiple choice tests with 1 essay each, plus a few 1 page writing assignments and 1 5 page one. A chimp could ace all of them. She's nice, but the class is too dumbed down to learn anything if you took bio in HS. Read the book if you want to learn because it's more advanced than lecture material.

Although she isn't too entertaining, she is kind and willing to help. Her exams are fair enough. I hardly stayed for the lectures because she prints out the power points, which really gave us more freedom when it came to choosing how we wanted to learn the material.

i was nervous about taking biology with a lab, however my experience was a wonderful one with this professor. got a B+ in the class, and the material is very straight up. 3 tests noncumulative, and lab is worth 40%.

I took this class during summer session 1-the hours were pretty brutal but overall easy easy A if you study just a little bit. Lecture=3 tests in which you gives out a review sheet. Lab= attendance is mandatory,2 exams, 2 quizzes, 2 lab book gradings. Def take this prof if your looking for an easy A in Bio

Lecture part of Bio011. What a wonderful woman - hands out power points, gives review sheets for tests, & tests are all multiple choice & straightforward. Really easy class. She's very understanding as well - I had a death in the family around midterms & she did everything she could to help me out. Would most definitely reccommend her.

We also had to write 2 journals from reading Origin of Species-I learned a lot!

Great choice for non science majors.3 non cumulative MC tests, straight off the review sheet, and the material comes from the notes she give out. Easy class. The class average was like the lower 80's, but that is because half the class leaves right after they sign the attendance sheet. She gives a pretty good review sheet, but I think its best to understand everything because some stuff not from the review sheet is there. Not hard at all if you study. Easy A if you study a little!

Amazing class!! Lectures are crystal clear and posted on blackboard. She also gives a review sheet before each exam and the test is 50 M.C but very thing if you know the review sheet. Overall, an easy A without too much effort required. Highly recommended. Easily the best class to take to fulfill the lab requirement.

Great professor, and easy. If you understand the review topics, you should be fine. I would not get the textbook though since you won't need it. Everything you need to know is on the slides. Would definitely take this if you need a Lab Science (LPS) credit. By the end of the class, I actually liked Bio.

Super kind woman. This class is very straight forward, she gives study guides that reflect exactly what will be on the test. She tends to read off the slides a lot, and does post the powerpoints on BB, so attendance is not mandatory. The textbook isn't necessary either, study the slides well, and you'll get an A.

Bio 13- Writing in the Sciences- was a great course to fulfill the EC2 requirement! Even if the topic of evolution doesn't thrill you, you'll be glad you learned it with Professor Muehlbauer. She assigns 4 papers throughout the semester with guidelines of what to write, but you can choose the topics. She is a very fair grader!

Easy a if you study for your exams. The labs are a review of hs bio its simple as long as you look it over. Im not a bio expert, and it takes me 3-2 day to study.

She gives a review for every test, the questions are all in the order of her review questions. She also posts slides to help you study. Take a week or two ahead to study and youll be fine

She is a good professor, fair grader. I took Bio11(lab science) and Bio13(English composition 2) with her, both got A. The exams are straightforward, MC, similar or same with the review sheet. Just read the slices, and review the study guide for exam. You will be good.

3 non cumulative tests (50 multiple choice) that come straight from her slides which she posts on blackboard. Lecture counts for 60% and lab 40% so lab professor could make your grade but she ends up weighing lab less or more depending on how you do (she wants you to do well)!

possibly the most boring class i have ever taken especially because it is 3 hours straight and lectures are irrelevant to the papers you need to write. Either way, she is super chill and you don't need to work too hard to get an A. She gives 4 papers and she grades them after looking at your first and second draft so it impossible not to do well.

I took her for my winter course. Since winter course lasts only three weeks I didn't want to take any difficult professor. For this class, I only had to write three essays and do some class participation to get an essay A. She will give you multiple chances to boost your grades if you're not happy.

I took her for a summer class. The lecture is 3 exams and Lab is online quizzes, essay(summary), lab manual, and test). You need the plato book for online access and lab manual but not the textbook . She curves the grade up.. I recommened taking her , if you study from her study sheets and go to lab you will do great.

Professor Muehlbauer is a great Professor. Three 50 multiple choice questions exams and she literally tells you the topic each question will pertain to. She recommends u read the textbook, but the slides r definitely enough to get an A. Even offers extra credit! Easy class with an amazing professor. Pick Professor Castillo for lab too if available!

I do not regret taking this course over the winter. She is very sweet and passionate about what she teaches. Although attendance isn't mandatory, show up so you can participate. The 3 essays are not long (3-4 pages) and they're fairly creative. She is an easy grader. Definitely take for an A!

I went to all lab classes, but stopped going to lecture midway semester bc it wasn't necessary, she uploads all the PPs and no need for a textbook. I took Professor Muehlbauer's Bio 13 - Writing in the Sciences for EC2 credit during the winter session. Such a great and kind professor. The class requires 3 writing assignments on evolutionary topics and discusses how to write for professional and instructional materials. The topics are varied and allow students to pick truly interesting topics.

Best EC2 class you'll ever take. The class only meets once a week. You only have four essays for the entire semester.

I took Dr. Muehlbauer for Bio 11 & Bio 13 in the same semester. Both classes were made to help students pass and do well. Show up, do the assignments, and use her reviews and you will do great. Overall very nice, helpful, and accessible outside of class. I would highly recommend her!

Amazing professor! Grade is only based on the four essay assignments given. Each one is a different format of writing so it can be a little difficult to pinpoint exactly what she wants you to write, but she's very good about grading essay drafts and will let you know exactly what she wants you to change to get an A. Definitely recommend!!!

Class is asynchronous so you basically just read the textbook on your own. The test was super simple. I barely read and got an A, she is a really easy grader. Super sweet as well and always willing to help. Did make us pay $50 for a book she wrote, and we needed to buy it to access the online quizzes.

Asynchronous class, final grade is a combination of the lecture midterm & final, along with labs, lab quizzes, midterm, final, & a paper. The lecture midterm & final is easy, you get to choose a few essay questions to answer & you can use your notes. Extra credit for attending a zoom with a guest speaker. Decent amount of work, easy A.

Professor Muehlbauer is very nice. The class was three papers and two homework writings. Youre graded based on your draft and final draft. Shes a very fair and easy grader and gives you feedback. Very simple and enjoyable class.

Exams were two paragraphs. Lectures were very long but good reads. Textbook is very beneficial to passing.

Midterm and Final were mini 2-paragraph essays. She gives you the lecture slides but also put detailed notes about the lecture contents on the blackboard. I only read her weekly backboard announcements. This was the easiest class in college so far, and she's also a really nice person. It's gonna be hard to not do amazing in Bio 11 with her!

Didn't have much trouble in this class. She would post her slides and her essay questions would be based on that and her book which you will have to purchase lol. The hard part is just grabbing the notes for you to use in your responses.

I had Prof Muehlbauer for my asynch bio class. Definitely this easiest class I have taken so far. Since it was asynch there were no meetings, and we did the work ourselves. By work I mean 2 easy exams that were based on the slides. 1 easy essay. If you see the class is asynch take it! So easy to pass without even trying!

Shes amazing! I took her for the winter so there were 3 easy essays only. She gives great feedback. She also answers her emails very quickly. Asycnh for bio 11 lec. Notes sent every week. 2-3 tests, short answer questions. very very easy and simple def take for creds.

There were 3 essays and someone else said 3 reflections but I only remember 2 (maybe I missed one, lol). She took attendance but I only showed up for about 3 classes and my grade was not harmed, she cares more about doing the assigned homework. Readings are all accessible online, some are tough to get through but there aren't too many. Easy A.

3 papers, 2ish reading responses and thats it. Assignments are spread out enough so you're not overwhelmed. Honestly an easy A if you just get the essays done. Lectures are kind of boring at times but whats new. Classes are mainly her talking the whole time or playing videos. A lot of people dropped the class but it's a super easy A.

She does take attendance, but I don't think it impact your grade ( I barely showed up lol). Exams were online, 3 shorts essay questions. that's it. You do however, need to purchase her book to do the quizzes. In conclusion an easy A if you put an ounce of effort

Highly recommend this professor 5/5 rating for a reason! There was only two written tests (midterm and final), you answer 3 of the 6 questions given. Your grade for lec is based on two exams. That saying you should not worry. They are online and you are allowed to reference her slides to help you answer the questions given. I took her BIOL 13 class this spring and it was great! Professor Muehlbauer was clear from day 1 about the assignments and grading rubric. Participation matters! And don't put off the readings! She's very kind and helpful.

One of the most kindest and sweetest professors I met, I would definitely recommend her. She has three essays(drafts you email and she revises telling what to change) and 2 reflection reading assignments based on readings which aren't too long depending on the text. Gives an extra credit reflection assignment to boost grade. Not a hard class.

Absolutely loved her. She was so sweet and caring. Very accessible outside of class. Took her for summer and while attendance was not mandatory, she promised to pick your higher grade if you were present. No homework and exams were at home essays. Lectures for summer are 2 hours and 40 minutes, we meet 4x a week.

All slides covered in lectures are provided online on Brightspace as well. Generally not a difficult class, most of the grade is based on the midterm and final, with some of it also coming from the lab portion. Doesn't give homework or require attendance.

Three essays that are easy, very chill teacher, interesting class. She likes participation and sometimes it is mandatory but she makes everyone say something, so it is not bad. Very clear assignments and grading criteria.
