A lot easier to understand than previous profs...she gave pretest out on first day of class and results sort of steered direction the course would take. Quiz every day but well worth the stress. Actually got you to learn.

She's a good teacher, and is funny...take her, just make sure u put a little effort and you should do fine...

If you plan on ditching lectures, and not doing any work, this class will be hard. She's pretty easy and also leaves a large amount of cushion of extra credit points. If you put in the effort to get an A, you will definatley get an A.

Go to Class and You'll LOVE her. She's so crazy!! Excited about bio and makes the class seem interesting. Take her if you can!

The class was okay, we thought it would be easy with the way she formatted the class, but the final was worth 300 pts. We got lucky that she was late for the final or else I bet everyone would fail, b/c there was just way too much information.

whut can i say ...she is helpful, and really teaches stuff really well..we had a quiz everyday but that is because we are in summer school.i came in 4 days late and yet she understood that it was untentional. but other than that she is cool and easy.

She is very good. Really recomend her. She is the only teacher for bio that i like. I got a B in the class but anyone can get an A. I think she is the best

Overall an alright teacher. For Biology 100 during the summer quizzes were easy and came straight from the lecture maybe one question from the book. Don't wait until the final to go over the pre test. Study that mug and make corrections whenever possible. Other than that the class is easy and you may learn something too!

Dr. Martin is an Angel. . . She will go out of her way to help you IF she sees that you are trying in her class. . .Her quizes were Easy and based off of her lectures, her exams at first seem difficulty but if you payed attetion and studied then its easy. . . I loved her notes; she is so organized with her notes and makes them easy to follow!

She is an awesome Teacher!!! She really knows her stuff and is great at lending a helping hand to students in order to clarify ideas. She is a gifted Dr who somehow made a class like Biology an EXCITING Class and anyone that says other wise is either A) Asleep in class or B) Dont study so you have a bad grade and your mad at her. Just study!

She is very kind a very funny. A few studnts got on her bad side and she was mean to them all semester. She tries her hardest to answer any of your questions. The tests are open note and book but make sure to be very specific on your answer. I hate science and slacked off and pulled a B. Only flat grades! No + or - which could be good or bad.

I can't believe anyone didn't like Dr. Martin. She's fascinating, and she was nice enough to let me bring my paper to her house. She was very helpful, even outside of class. She's also just a genuinely nice person.

Easy Cr/Nc class. Not a lot of work. Dr. Martin is sarcastic and entertaining, don't act out in class if you can't handle being humiliated. this class is very helpful for freshman science majors.

Super easy cr/ncr class. Not very useful for the most part, but she did give me some information that I probably wouldn't have known about otherwise. There's not much work involved, and lots of "open discussion" in classes. She's really unorganized, but she means well. If you're choosing between this and some all-important class, take the other one

she is probably one of the best professors to get to know on campus, she will help with anything to roommate dilemnas to withdrawals foom class, shes the example of a perfect advisor, strongly reccomend taking her class

She is a sweet, funny, & awesome professor. She knows her stuff about the college & the class is extremely useful for your whole college & post-college plans. She is very helpful & easy to talk to. The work that was required was not difficult & very do-able.

Dr. Martin is the greatest teacher I've encountered in San Diego State so far. She cares about her students a lot. She is always there when you need her and the psych 250 class is very helpful for the freshmans out there. Take her class if you can.

Took a seminar class with Dean Martin. The class was easy and generally a good introduction to SDSU, but there were lots of assignments. If you ever need help or advice, she's great to go to! Way more helpful than the academic mentors and the major advisors.

I had Dr. Martin in a CR/NC class. She is funny, sweet, kind and helpful. She truly cares about her students. She provides a lot of good advice and information. I feel safe meeting up in her office because she's such a nice person. Though she is a tough grader, she actually read your papers and hunts down every mistake. Still, I really like her.

I didn't have her for a class, but I had her for a counseling session. She was very nice and very thorough, and I don't know what I would have done without her help. She is clear and reasonable, but stern and does seem to expect the best from you (which is a great thing). I would love to take a class with her. :)

Dr. Martin is strict, but she wants the best out of her students. I do agree with the previous comments that the workload feels like too much for a one unit and that she is a bit disorganized. While I would not take the class again, it gave a decent introduction to the university and its resources.
