All teachers should be like this. Organized, clear, open to questions, knowledgeable and with a great sense of humor to boot. I highly recommend her class.

She is a really nice person and very understanding, but her lectures are boring. It is a long two hour class so unless you can sit still i wouldn't really recommend her. But you can tell she's passionate about what she teaches.

Eta is a very nice person! She is funny! Her child psych class is easy, 1 essay assignment, 2 miderms and a final! All you gotta do is pay attention in class and take notes!

She is hilarious! She's very clear when she speaks, and has no preferences. She enjoys teaching this class and is opened minded. She gives a lot of extra credit opportunities which is prety much to go to an event and write a 1 page paper on what you thought about it. Its an easy class.

I knew from the first day she was going to be great when i found out 1/3 of class where returning students. She is ogranized, gives outlines for all lectures, makes studying easy, you could probily pass without going to class much, but i don't know why you wouldnt because she makes it so easy!

Her psychology course was my favorite class! She is always helpful, kind and respectable! I enjoyed the course the entire time, so I learned the entire time. Make sure to be engaged in discussions, turn all assignments in on time, and most important, be respectful (some tips if you want to come out with an A)! Grades on a curve.

Mrs. Lin s a great teacher and was always available to meet with students after or before class. Her lectures are very clear and test come from a combination of lecture an reading. Weekly online quiz can be tricky so do the reading and chapter tests first. Put in the effort and let her know you care about her class and it will pay off. VERY NIC

I took many psyc classes with Eta, she's the best psyc teacher ever! EAsy to get an A if you attend everyday.Not to much reading. Study guide tells you exactly what's on the test. Extra credit boost ur grade. The combinations of lectures, videos, pictures, group discussions make her classes easy to understand and learn without being frustrated.

I took online class this summer,it was really great. got A. I will point out a few reasons to take her, awful lot of extra credits,no final exam as such, she takes average of all the weekly exams, extremely generous with her grading. More than anything she is really helpful. i would recommend her. she is the best psychology prof at Foothill.

She's very nice and her class is pretty easy. Her lectures are clear& her tests are not difficult. And yet, I would not take her again simply because her method of teaching did not make me interested, and I often found myself dozing off during her lectures. I didn't take much away from her class. Easy A, but not very interesting.

I won't say her classes were the most interesting but she was always really organized and students had many chances to boost their grades if they fell. To her credit you can tell she put effort in tho. Easy tests as long as you come to class and read the material once. Her classes are safe bets if you are not sure which psych prof to choose.

Dr. Lin is really cool and explains the material in a completely understandable and often interactive way. She showed videos in class and had us perform activities and what not. Just rent the textbook and do the weekly online quizzes and your set! oh and pay attention in class, really helps.

She is the reason I became a psych major. Her lectures are very informative, and she helps break down a sometimes confusing topic. She loves what she does and it is evident everyday in class. Very easy to approach and will help you throughout the class.

Such a fantastic teacher! She gives the most hilarious examples of concepts that really stick in your mind when test time comes. Your grade is composed of weekly online quizzes, 3 exams and a paper. It's really hard to get a bad grade in this class. It's a great GE class, also great if you're interested in psych!

Eta was a wonderful professor. In her Pysch 1 class, her lectures were never dull- there were a few times where we watched videos on topics we were covering, which was nice. She was also extremely approachable if you had any questions or concerns. When it came to her teaching method, she was great. I noticed that she did tend to explain concepts very thoroughly-often too thoroughly though, which would cause her to skip notes, therefore, studying is advised. Fairly easy, straightforward tests!

A straight forward class with PLENTY of room for group discussion and opinions. Interesting facts and different learning engagement, such as video and games. Very approachable instructor and plenty of Extra credit assignments. : )

Extremely helpful and very understanding. She actually cares that about her students and will even go as far as remember almost all of them on a first name basis. Her lectures are interesting and her class discussions are entertaining. She offers 26 points of extra credit to help boost your grade. By far one of the best professors I've ever had.

She gives a lot of points in the class so she makes it possible to get an A. However every week she gives a short essay, a online discussion and a 30 pt quiz for each chapter so this class is a ton of work. More than I thought it'd be. You also have to do online studies with stanford. I took her online class. Horan I think would be easier.

She is very clear in her presentations/lectures. She uses a few video clips to help show concepts. She has almost weekly on line 20 point quizzes, and offers extra credit. She gives reminders at the start of each class about assignment due dates or extra credit.

Took general psych online with instructor lin. Very organized online class with weekly quiz, discussion and assignment. A bit time consuming but beneficial towards understanding and learning concepts. Quiz was 30 questions long and is timed one hour so be prepared! Overall, the class structure is very organized and easy going.

By far the best teacher at Foothill!! Very methodical, organized, and straight forward. Eta knows her material well and is a fantastic communicator. The most understanding teacher I have yet to meet. Take her classes whenever you can!

She's great! She's extremely warm and welcoming and makes you feel very comfortable. Her teaching style is very direct and you learn things right away. She's funny, too. I've taken 2 classes from her and loved both of them. She's very supportive, too.

Dr. Lin is a great teacher she's really knowledgeable about her subject. She will never finish the complete lecture so the boook is very helpful. Weekly quizzes, REP participation, 2 midterms, 1 paper, 1 final. Her tests are prety hard so study EVERYTHING.Definitely recommend but you have to really be on top of your work and do reading.

I had Lin for Socpsych. She knows her stuff and is really helpful Her teaching method is giving PP lectures in class and then taking a quiz every week. The quizzes are five questions and goes over information in the PP's.Then there is two midterms, a final, and a paper. It sounds like a lot but she makes sure you're on the same page. EC is given.

Eta is the sweetest lady and cares SO MUCH about her students doing well. I always saw her encouraging students who were failing to get their grades up. She offers extra credit generously. DO IT. It bumps your grade up immensely. The only qualm is that she gets off topic so you do need to review at home to get an A but it is doable for sure.

She is the best psych and soc teacher in foothill. I love her lecture and power point. Her lecture is funny. Moreover, she is a really helpful teacher. However, the quiz is pretty hard for me. I have tried my best and studied very hard to get and A for my psych. It maybe because of my English level tho. I do recommend her to be your psy soc teacher

I wish Dr. Lin taught more online classes. I did her Psych 1 course and loved it. Discussions were interactive, she made sure to post comments herself, and she got to know many of us despite the fact that we had never met in person. Her expectations were clear and her feedback on assignments were very prompt, detailed, and encouraging.

Mrs. Lin was very friendly and responded to all the questions I had very quickly! Her class had 2 discussions, 1 writing assignment, and 1 quiz every week. She's a pretty easy grader too!

I really like her and her teaching style. I took her for my online Psych introduction and Research Methods in person. Both times she was well informed, intelligent and provided interesting commentary. She's a good teacher.

I did most of the homework for the class and received good grades on that. The only thing i would suggest is to make sure you read the book. The tests and quizzes are strictly out of the book. She is also extremely fast in responding to emails and giving feed back. The most helpful teachers I have ever had! Highly suggest taking her class.

Her class is FUN. Lot of reading and memorization, but you will not regret it. There is work involved, and you will have to put in effort. However, even if you think the workload is too much, this class will make you happy and laugh a LOT. I love psych. I plan on taking Ms. Lin again in another course. TAKE HER CLASS!!!!!

Professor Lin is an amazing instructor. I enjoyed every lecture in her class, and she was VERY helpful in situations I didn't understand. The best way to pass her class and get a ton out of it is going to her office hours if you're unclear about something. Not only does she respect your urgency, but you'll have certainty. She's so friendly! Genuinely a nice person. Professor Lin uses a lot of examples in her slides which really help you to remember them.. she gives weekly 5 point quizzes which are easy as hell. She also gives plenty of extra credit opportunities. Would definitely recommend her.

1 assignment, test, and 2 forum posts a week. Stanford REP also but you can do all of it online. You HAVE to read if you want to do well on the quizzes, but sometimes quizzes dont align with the chapters which is weird. Easy B-C grade but you have to work to get an A. Dont buy the book cause you can find the PDF version online so you save $$$$

Dr. Lin is very helpful and clear on her assignments. If you have any questions she will respond quickly. It's a typical psych class and you definitely got to give input but as long as you turn everything in on time you will pass with flying colors. Read homework assignments carefully and respond to EACH question asked.

I am genuinely surprised that she isn't scored as one of the best teachers on campus. She has a very personal and warm way of teaching, it almost makes you feel like a family member is tutoring you rather than some stranger. Her classes are interesting, with clear expectations and without surprises.

Although I never met her in person (as this was an online class), she really cares about you and makes you feel you actually know her. This class requires a lot of work and time, but Dr. Lin expresses a positive attitude and replies to emails promptly. Great experience!

Professor Lin is really clear and shows a great deal of interest in psychology. Every week is a routine. You write 2 discussion posts, take a 30 questions quiz on the chapter (answers usually online), and have a writing assignment (usually 600 words total). The final was 80 questions based off the previous quizzes. Easy to get an A in the class!

Eta might be THE best professor at Foothill College! You can tell she truly cares about students. You won't even realize you're learning in her lectures. There are weekly lecture quizzes and a huge research project expected in 12 wks, but Eta is motivating, helpful, and gives plenty of time to work on it. Highly recommend taking her class!!!

Eta is one of the nicest professors in Foothill College. She is super helpful and understanding. During lectures, she often goes off topic but if you listen in class, take down notes and read the textbook, you'll do well. There is extra credit for her classes and the class is curved so it is easy to get a good grade.

Eta is very kind, smart, really cares about her students' success. Some questions on the midterms sort of surprised me, but overall if you pay attention in class and put the work in, you should be fine. I highly recommend, I feel like I learned a lot!

She is a really good and caring teacher. You need to get ready to read the chapters as much as you can and prepare your weekly quizzes and monthly mid-terms. She loves to help and answer to her students' questions whenever you need.

She's very easy to talk to and her lectures are interesting. Weekly quizzes are easy if you read the chapter. REP studies. 3 exams (multiple choice+short answer). 1 paper. She also offers an opportunity to earn 20 points extra credit if you need it. You probably won't need it since her midterms/exams/finals are very straightforward

I absolutely loved taking Eta's class. I've stayed in touch with her ever since, and she has become an amazing resource. You will have to study some, but it is not very difficult

Every week, there's a 30q textbook chapter quiz, 700+ word writing assignment due, and 700+ word discussion post due. Most people get full scores on discussion by just BSing their opinions for 700 words, but writing assignments are graded slightly harder (expect 25/30 class avg). Quiz questions are easily googleable (quizlet), but not for finals.

Took her online class. Quizzes were easy, you just had to read the textbook carefully. Writing assignments were fun and informative, and I also like doing the discussion as psychology is a very open ended subject. Final was around the same difficulty as quizzes. Recommend!

She is very kind and helping but be prepared to read and write a lot, although it is doable for an online 5 unit class. I wish that she did not assign two chapters the week before finals as well as another chapter during the week of.

It is an easy class if you do the reading and put in the work. She is really involved in the classroom and communicates well with students.

I really love Eta! She is so amazing and is always there to help students. She truly cares about her students and teaches engaging lectures as well. The research project could be challenging, but I learned so much from her and she is just a really solid choice for anyone who need this class. By the way I commute from De Anza just for this class.

Great professor. Discussion board post/reply, writing assignment, and quiz every week. For an introductory psych class, I found the quizzes to be somewhat challenging. Follow her instructions carefully and you should be fine. Be aware that there's work during finals week.

Eta is my faaavorite educator I have ever had :) Her lectures are based mostly off the textbook and her expectations for the class are very straightforward; she was very accommodating and kind and would help with anything you'd need. It's clear she knows what she's talking about but she's also very humble. I'd definitely recommend her.

This is a stress-free class. Do the homework, read the textbook, take the quizes and you'll be fine. I spent about 6 hours a week studying. The final is easy.

Eta Lin is a good professor: her feedback is good, and she engages you with the material, but this class is a lot of work! There are two 350 word paragraphs a week, a discussion post, and a proctored quiz (which I found tough). The final was just like the quiz. This class isn't impossible, but it's not easy: you have to put in the effort.

I've taken Dr. Eta's classes multiple times and she has yet to disappoint. This class isn't going to be easy, but it's definitely something you can do. She is always there for support and loves to have a discussion about the class or even something outside of it. Put in your work and I promise you will pass! Don't doubt your success!

Dr. Lin keeps her modules on Canvas very streamlined. No junk information that hides your assignments. She also gives detailed feedback on your assignments, so if you get points off you'll know why, and if you did something right, you'll also know! And finally, if you're struggling in class, you can reach out. She's very friendly and understanding!

I took her General Psychology course this year online, super easy to work with, very little work, she assigned the group discussion question (half a page) and the writing prompt (700 words) at the beginning of the week. There's a 30 question multiple choice quiz every week as well. All of the assignments were super easy, would take again!

I really enjoyed taking this course, She did provide extra credit and the assignments where pretty easy. I would definitely take this course again.

Prof. Lin is a so sweet and understanding if you need an extension or anything. The homework is easy to do, and so long as you answer her questions and meet the word count, shell give you full credit. Shes a bit of a slow grader, but only by a week or so. She also offers extra credit for psych surveys, attending guest lectures, and other events.

Her Intro to Psych class is definitely heavy on both reading and writing. 1/2 page discussion post, 1/2 page response due each week, on top of a weekly quiz and ~700 word writing assignment. Quizzes are closed note and are fairly comprehensive of the material covered. Not necessarily an easy A, but if you put in the work it's easy to do well.

Prof Eta is an amazing Psychology teacher. Sure there is lots of homework, but I guess this one class teaches us life skills! Eta Mam gives great feedbacks & is very motivating. She gave me extra time to finish some assignments due to my injuries. Overall I am glad I took her class, else I would have missed on such significant life skills.

She is a very fair grader. I took her async section and the class was very organized, you can clearly see all the assignments and know the expectations for her class. She gives good feedback and provides lots of help if you ask for it. It is quite a bit of reading, but if you do the reading and lectures the course is easy to understand.

Professor Eta is one of the most, if not the most, caring professors/teachers I've had, even comparing her to my teachers before college. This class is not an easy A, but if you put in the work to study, ask questions, and connect with Prof. Eta and your classmates, you'll get an A and you'll learn more about yourself and the world.

I got lucky coming across her class by enrolling into Professor Lin's course. Professor Lin is a great professor that I would recommend everyone to take! Professor Lin does a great job teaching social psychology that I learned a lot and still retain to this day. Participation matters, so definitely put in the effort in attendance and discussions.

She is the Psychology professor I ever had. Choose this class, you will get to participate in a Stanford Research project! Is not the easiest class cause she does make you put work into it but is so worth it. She is very caring and loving and truly the most insightful instructor. I learnt a lot of fascinating Psychology facts. Accepts late work.

Eta deeply cares for her students, and her lectures often reach a personal level I appreciate. Her class is a very safe space! She's very accessible and flexible with her assignments and quizzes. One thing I will note is that there are breakout rooms at least once in almost every class; you'll be lucky if you get other people to talk.

Slightly disorganized, but that is not out of the ordinary for a psychology professor. If you get bothered when professors change important course dates, she does do that quite a bit. She's super nice though and I learned a lot. She's a great resource for anyone seeking to publish psychology research.
