The guy has a strong ego and can be tough to take, but the bottomline is this: attend every class, do every homework, read every word of every chapter assigned (twice), go to every lab, ask tons of questions if you don't understand something, and truly do more than cram the night before a test. If you do all of the above, you might get an A.

Did the summer semester, would not recommend unless you have previous knowledge of physics. 3 tests as mentioned by other people, with massive curves as otherwise the class would fail due to the poor teaching style. All that the lecture comprises is him going through hw questions without explaining any of the concepts. 8-10 lab reports for lab.

Took him in the summer. Easy class and a very nice professor. Even if you somehow bomb his exams, after his 20-30 point curves you'll get an a. Also, even if you miss an assignment, if you talk to him he'll give you credit. Take him!!!

Professor Bourkoff is amazing. He is very knowledgeable and I love his lectures. He also has an awesome sense of humor. The labs are fun as well. Professor Bourkoff is accessible outside of class, and he is very helpful. He was one of the best professors I ever had. You should definitely take him!

As someone who has never taken physics/bad at math, Prof. Bourkoff made it easy to understand what we were doing and how to do the labs. Just make sure you're able to come to every lab. The lab report criteria is simple and clear. As long as you turn them in on a timely manner you will be fine. He is also accessible outside of class. 10/10!

Professor Bourkoff is great. I didn't take lecture, just lab because that's all I needed. Just put in effort and do everything on lab reports, easy A. Exams are easy A just take notes in his 20 minute lectures. And class is only once a week (if you guys finish the lab). No final too. If you need lab credit, this is the class!
