no homework man

This teacher never grades homeworks and you actually never do the homeworks.Gives lots of notes. sometimes covers a section in one day and gives a test on the next day.tests are fair but sometimes tricky.

he helps a lot if you ask him. tests are fair. I've had teachers a lot worse than him. easy to understand if you sit up front. Overall he's helpfull and fair

I took his class during Fall 2006 and I got A though I am not so strong in math.He is very kind and always ready to help his students.Don't think twice,just take his class.After taking his class you will be proud of your GPA.

Crazy teacher never even opened the book and pulled off a C, never studied just kicked it , Pope is a nice guy and a good grader except i couldnt tell if he was looking at me or not...kinda trippy

He is a good teacher. He tells you everything you need to know about math. Makes it clear. He is not the greatest when it comes to social skills. When he talks, he seems bitter about his current job. My advice, pay attention in class, don't talk during class, and TURN OFF YOUR CELL PHONE! He hates cell phones.

you can convince him to do anything as long as the entire class asks together. like take home a test or turn in the homework late. i failed like 4 out of 10 tests and bombedd the final nd he gave me a C. hes very understanding. dontt drop himm if u think ull fail trust me talk to him about it nd he wont fail you. i highly reccomend him. easy class

Very goog Professor. He will make maths easy. The examples in the class are the ones he will ask in the exam. Use the book and you can get an A.

He was a helpful teacher and wanted everyone to pass the class. His homeworks and tests are tough, so you have to make a lot of time to study the material. Overall good teacher

Mr. Pope is no Pope if you know what I mean, but a great Professor in any case! He will find time to tutor you, he won't sleep just so he can help you pass! Befriend him as he is friendly and open once you get to know him. He becomes a life-long friend and jokes with you. He is one of the best and cares about his students a lot!

just finished calc1 with him. Probably one of the most thorough teachers there are. He gives out lots of test prep material and is a pretty generous grader. He did SI's twice a week, test questions are hard if you dont study and just cram before the test.

Great math teacher. He makes an effort to offer instruction outside of class - more than most. Definitely attend his SI's. His tests aren't easy but they're reasonable. His work on the board is very thorough. I took my best notes in Calculus I.

Has difficulty answering questions in class. Collects and thoroughly grades homework assignments, which is helpful if you do the homework. Gives plenty of time for tests. Basically if you spend the time to memorize the different theories and trig definitions, you will get an A.

This professor gives a ton of extra credit. It is in his homework and on his tests. The homework can be challenging, but it=f you succeed with the homework it makes the tests easy. He is stern but kind. One thing to note: lateness is a pet peeve of his. Besides that I highly recommend him.

Math isn't necessarily easy and teaching requires some pushing. Professor Pope really helped me learn math. He is genuine and sincere and really cares about his students!

Best professor! I got a A+ :) you don't really need the book either because he emails his own homework. He helps out any way he can! His tests are not hard if you study. He gives a lot of opportunities to get extra points as well!

Mr. Pope is one of the best professors at GCC. All these bad comments are from those lazy students that did not do any work and expected to get an easy A. If you do all the homework and understand the material, for sure you can get an A or a B in the class. AND TO ADD, if you do attend class and do all the work, he curves your grade. Love you Pope

Great teacher. only uses the book to assign optional homework and to use as an outline of what needs to be covered. He uses his own examples most of the time and yes they are HARD but prepares you very well for the easy exams and the hw in the book. And he drops the lowest test score and homework scores. GIVES PLENTY OF E.C. throughout the course.

Hi is the best teacher at GCC. I wish I could take all my math and science classes with him.

First time i went to class, i was kind of regretting taking him (when you see him you will know what I'm talking about), but hes greats very clear , all the processes are to prepare you for calculus , allows graphing cals, hw is about 6 - 8 problems , in total around 14 hws, the hw is as tough as he will go ,test are easier ! Take him For summer!

Good professor. Take notes during class. His homework are harder than his test. His test are not bad at all, they are similar to examples from the notes. He drops the lowest test and homework scores. If you study all your notes before the test you will definitely pass his class.

I did very well in Mr. Pope's class. He's an exceptional teacher. He's very interactive and positive. He takes the time to learn everyone's name. His homework is hard but his tests are easy. Pay attention in class, take good notes and ask questions, then you'll do fine. He gives a lot of extra credit. Many other students seemed to like him as well.

He is fantastic, friendly, explains things clearly, cares about his students, is just an all around awesome teacher. The homework is hard but short and designed to give you a deeper understanding of the underlying concepts behind the material. Tests are easy though and he drops your lowest exam grade and 4 lowest hw grades. Highly recommend.

The class was easy. Do the homework and study and you will be fine. He is very clear and makes you understand math. If you need help ask him, he will gladly do it. He is a little quiet, but the class was still good! I recommend taking his class for G.E. The tests sometimes have tougher questions, but they are doable if you study and understand it!

His class was challenging but fulfilling. Homework was given once to twice a week, and his lecture covered the majority of it. Tests were quite tough, but all questions were covered in his class. Pope was very clear in his lectures and answered questions nicely. I wish he taught Calculus!

Great. Amazing. Professor EVER! I seriously suggest taking math 100 with him. Lectures are concise and organized. Tests are based off homework. He will make his own hw questions which truly test your knowledge on the subject. He is a great teacher, cannot stress that enough, if you want to slack off, take another class. Copy down his notes exactly and pay attention to do well in his class. If you goof off then you'll get what you deserve. Other then that you'll pass easily. Ask questions if you have any because he assumes you understand a few things that you might not. Only the final is hard, so study for that A LOT (grade changer). Drops lowest test and 3 hws.

Ethan is the best math professor I ever took at GCC. He writes down every step and explains everything clearly. Professor Pope was phenomenal; he exercised proper care in his lectures and really gave his best effort in making sure his students left his class educated and well prepared. I took 110B. Professor Pope got the class prepared for the next level of Calculus. His teaching is different, but he goes through step by step if you don't understand what is going on. There is a lot of homework, but it is spread throughout the course. A GROUP quiz is given every Friday. *No quiz = Regular test day. * Happy calculating!

Took his Calc 1 class over the summer. Mind you, I haven't taken much math (it's been 8 years) and had I took it with any other professor, I'd have failed miserably. He truly cares about his students, though he is tough. He wants you to understand the material, which I respect. Overall, great person, well-spoken and god bless.

I took Professor Pope in the fall, and he was an amazing professor. I'm not the best in math, but his class made me enjoy statistics. There is a lot of HW, but he extends the due dates and is always willing to help. He also drops the lowest exam score. He's incredibly kind, you just have to put your part!!
