Most of the tests are taken from the powerpoint notes. He is a very good professor and makes the material easy to understand. Doing the extra credit website can really boost your grade, so I would do it.

Gene is a very good teacher! He's very enthusiatic about what he's teaching! He also wants to help any students who need it! Def take this teacher!

He's a very fair teacher, and if you study the notes well and go to class you can easily get an A. He gives random Blackboard that are easy, but worth lots of points! And the exams aren't to bad, and the final isn't cummulative!

The class is very interesting. Eugene, on the other hand, is boring. He just reads off the slides. He has a tendency to talk to his students as if they are little kids. This can get annoying. The class is fairly easy, but you will have to work to get that A.

Intro to Child Development was my favorite class spring quarter. He tries to make some of the theories interesting, but fails miserably. The class isn't all that difficult, as long as you study the online slides like crazy. Also, quizzes are easy points. Go to class and get the passwords!

Amazing professor. His class lasts for 2 hours but I can honestly say I was NEVER bored. He has a great way of getting the point across and making it interesting too. He also is ALWAYS there to help and will answer EVERY question even if it takes 45 minutes. His tests are easy if you go to class and pay attention.

I liked this class b/c it made me realize that I would rather shove a rusty nail in my eye then teach kids. I loved him though! Take it with him, he is very helpful and such a good professor, go to the review sessions they are helpful..Good guy

I took his T336 class in Summer/Lancaster. We had a lot of great discussions where EVERY PERSON got involved. (Everyone was interested.) I would easily take another class from him. We did have a lot of reading and writing, but I understand every T3 class is that way.

One of the most interesting classes I've had this quarter. You can tell he is very passionate about what he does. I think that it might only be interesting for ECE majors though.

He is a really nice guy and the class is really interesting.. its actually better if you take hccf170, 160, and 160a all in the same quarter (I did) because all of the information overlaps and you can study once and be ready for 3 tests... also psych is closely related to this class

Dr. Geist liked to listen to himself talk,and easily got off-topic. All of our tests were extremely easy and online because he never finished the lectures in time, but he said future quarters would have in-class tests. Must attend class to get quiz passwords, but otherwise class isn't worth attending. Would recommend prof if required for major.

Easy class, all the quiz and test material comes straight from book. He lectures the entire two hours and it got quite boring, but sometimes you had to feel bad for the guy, no one was ever paying attention to him. His email responses seem kind of rude, however he is nice during class. Class can be boring on occasion because he talks for the entire time. Some material is beneficial and interesting.

AMAZING! I didn't mind going to this class it was not mandatory. It was super laid-back. He was so nice 1-on-1 and seemed extremely intelligent! I love the way he did his lectures and adding videos into it They are clicker quizzes randomly so go to it he will tell you in advance! AMAZING GUY!!!!! RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!

Professor Geist is very nice and does whatever he can to help. This is a very easy class because all the quizzes and tests are online, so you can use your notes to help you. And the quizzes you can take as many times as you want, so you get the grade you want. DO NOT waste your money on the book, I haven't opened mine yet and I have an A.

Professor Geist's class is really easy and is a great way to raise your GPA. He is a really friendly guy and is passionate about everything he teaches. Online quizzes and online tests aren't very hard and required writings are very easy to do. I would definitely recommend taking his course!

I absolutely loved Dr. Geist's class! He was clearly passionate about what he was teaching and it showed in the lectures. He played fun videos and really made the subject interesting. I felt like I learned because I wanted to, not because I had to. Definitely take this class!

The class is lecture heavy and activities are mainly online, focus on the online chapter over what he is teaching in class. Attendance is not mandatory on most days but he will tell class beforehand when he will be giving a TopHat for points so make sure you are there for that. Overall, easy A.

Eugene is a saint. Ive had him a few different times in my 4 years here and he is really great. You will never do busy work, the work you do is very fair and he makes sure you get the grade you deserve (honestly more than you deserve). Take every class you can with him.

This is the easiest class you will probably ever take. I barely showed up at all. Just make sure to show up for Tophat points. Professor Geist is also a very nice man and wants to make this class easy for you.

I did not go to class for a majority of the semester and got a 97%, just don't miss the Top Hat questions (they're on random days). Look on top hat to see if you got a 0/75 then show up to the later class and answer the question to get your points for it. Finished all the online work months in advance. SUPER EASY!!!!

EDEC 1600 is the easiest class ive ever taken. I havnt been to class since week 2 and I have a 96% in the class. Book is online, class is basically online. Psychfiles are easy, he doesn't even look at them and youll get full credit for them. Overall easy class 10/10 recommend

Dr.Geists course isn't complicated, the work includes completing modules and raising a virtual child. While the assignments have due dates they can be completed whenever you want to do them, as long as they are done prior to the end of the course. The final for this class was a 15 minute podcast, which seemed intimidating but was fairly simple!
