Do NOT take this teacher... I took his online class; it was really bad. He takes forever to return papers and rough drafts. You don't learn anything from actually handing in the rough drafts, since the comments you get back are too general. He grades hard and is no help.. I don't know if I actually learned anything at all in his class!??

He likes when you get into the class and talk and make comments and get into the lecture, but the lectures are boring, he seems like he doesn't care about your interpretation and he's kind of mean.

WORST TEACHER I EVER HAD. such a jerk, and doesn't care about any of his students. Had him at 8:00 in the morning and I feel bad for anyone who has to deal with him.

Horrible man that should have been fired long ago. Not only does he have a predjudice against females, he has an even bigger FEAR of females with a brain. This professor is the worst ever! He is boring, redundant, does not encourage students, he talks about his job and himself all the time. Summer course with him...ahhhhhhhhhh!!! He is not intersting, he is just a bad teacher. I would highly recomment to NOTTTT take him.

He's a horrible teacher, very repetitive & treats you like you don't know anything. He makes everyone feel like crap & will make you look bad any chance he gets. This teacher is the worst. Thinks he is god's gift to English cause he worked for some publications firm. No idea how to teach; just rambles. When you ask questions and he can't answer he degrades you, because he needs to, to compensate for his lack of classroom ethics. Strongly urge to avoid if you're looking for a legitimate education.

Without question, Eugene Gorksy is one of the worst teachers I have ever had. If you are scheduled to be in his class, get out! Listen to somebody who had to endure thism moron!

This teacher should definately not be teaching. He ruined English for me which was my favorite subject! He tries to incorporate Star Wars into it which made things even worst. The absolute worst teacher I have ever had. I had a very good college grade English teacher through High School and the head of the English department (at another university) for English101. I got A's and high B's on every paper from them. I have not gotten above a low C from this character.

The worst professor in history. I've had over 20 professors at Mont. Co, but he has been the worst. My dad died near the middle of the semester, and I couldn't deal with school because of the trauma, and all my teachers signed a withdrawl form, except for HIM!!!! so I got an F! Heartless, can't Teach. Every writing and english class i've goten a's.

I had Gorsky 2 years ago. His instructions were to take a different approach in analyzing a poem, don't make him read the same old paper he has been reading from students for years. I took a very different approach and supported all of my work, rough draft got a D. Then I dumbed it down and wrote a generic paper, got the A. Its a power game to him

I got out of that class in a hurry. He's in love with himself and has a temper. If you challenge him on any point, even to question whether a given book is available on amazon or not, he goes off. Immature. Petty. Cruel. Uncalled for. If given the chance, he will make an example of you in front of the class for the smallest mistake. Should be fired

He is the absolute worst teacher I have ever had in my school career. He has a terrible temper and does not know how to teach/handle students. He gets frustrated with the littlest things and is completely useless when it comes to helping out. He definitely needs to be fired.

Worst teacher ever. Gives poor grades no matter how much of an effort you show. I've never had below an A on any of my english papers since middle school and in his class i could NOT get above a low C. He's absolutly HORRIBLE. He does not give good insructions and he's rude. I would definitely consider switching out if you have the chance too.

THE WORST TEACHER AT THE SCHOOL!! He lied about passing me on my paper I went from an A- to a D because he claimed I plagerized (when I really did not). He makes you submit all your papers on turnitin.com and if anything comes up he will fail you. I would rather skip a semester then have him again. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON HIM!!!!

He shows up late for class a lot, but dont you dare show up late or he will ask you to leave. Also no cell phones but his will go off in the middle of class and he will take the call. Our class size went from over 25 to 12 by the end of the semester. That really says something for a 102 class. He is insanely obsessed with star wars. DO NOT TAKE HIM

This class was the biggest waste of time. The course topic was rarely about english, but more about science. He loves to prove students wrong and argue. He's extremely immature in his teaching methods and frankly doesn't know how to treat people. His position at the school should be highly re evaluated. If your schedule says Gorsky...RUN!

DO NOT TAKE MR. GORSKY! He is the worst teacher I've ever had, his class is very boring and the work given is unclear and when you need help, he gives you an attitude and goes on about how you should've listened, but he just didn't explain things well. His blackboard page is also the hardest thing to navigate around. Save yourself and do not take.

I could go on a full rant on this guy. He took FOREVER to grade our papers. And he kept telling us the same excuse "I have a busy schedule". He also made everything way too confusing. everything from his syllabus, to his blackboard page, to his assignments. Also some of his topics had very little to do with english. Whatever you do DON'T take him.

This professor is too hard. He expects students to read 4 parts of a book in two days.

He was the replacement for a professor who had left on medical leave. Our class never got a syllabus. He had changed the grading system, which automatically lowered our grade from the previous teacher. In the two months that were left of the semester, I did not learn one thing from him. Absolutely the most horrible professor. He was disrespectful.

One of the worst professors I have ever had. His lectures are long and boring and we learned things that had nothing to do with the class and its syllabus. He is quite rude and he doesn't take the time to get to know his students. I payed for this class, learned nothing and did work from other classes.

Quite possibly the worst teacher I've ever had. This "English" class is more Science/History oriented. All of the assignments must be completed through his confusing blackboard page. He didn't post grades the last two months of the semester. If you see Gorsky on your roster, get out ASAP, and don't waste time and money.

i am taking this class right now, and he's terrible. I have an A as of right now but his 4-5 page essay questions are so hard and make NO sense what so ever. I suggest you to not take any of his courses. very nice and will help but still is terrible.

Do not take this course. We lost our professor and e gorsky was the rePlacement and completely changed the course in a terrible way. This is the most ignorant, hypocritical, (bad word) professor that I have ever had. He is also the ultimate class discussion killer if he can even get one started. Lastly if you get on his bad side it seems like he tries to make things more difficult for you, like not being able to cite the same story from a different anthology.

What can I say that hasn't been said but if you have any choice at all, do not take this professor. He assigns readings and never discusses them, and the lectures are boring and sometimes disorganized. I am hanging in there, but if our class did not lose our professor who we loved, I would consider dropping Gorsky's course. Mr. Gorsky is rude.

Have you ever had a dream where you're running and running and running and then you realize you're not going anywhere? This class is physical embodiment of that dream.

This was the hardest course I have taken because this professor was very hard to follow and understand. The Blackboard was extremely confusing, lectures long and very boring, and at times, it seemed that the course was very disorganized. Class discussion was nil, and many students felt that instructor gorsky cut students off when they spoke. Awful.

I absolutely would not reccomend this professor. Like if I had to pick between taking his class again or burning in the fiery chasms of the underworld for an eternity, you betcha I'd pick the latter. He is rude, self-entitled, and boring. He grades things at the last minute, gives terrible feedback, and overall bored me to tears.

I have never had a more horrible teacher in my life. I did not learn a single thing in this class. You have to read about nine books and if you don't read it you can't do the papers. If you actually like English and enjoy reading, take someone else's class. This is one class you do not want to take.

Please for your own benefit stay away from this class and if u end up getting enrolled in it drop it as soon as you can. You have to purchase about 10 textbooks and read from at least three every night, as if its the only course you have... Yes this is college but Gorksy will make u read 3 books a night, that consist of 20-30 pgs like it's the only class you have. If you have a question about an assignment he looks at you like u have three heads. He is rude,uptight and very strange. I wish I went on this website first before I signed up for his class. I've written papers at 3 different universities, and I've always been a 4.0 student. This is the only class I've received Ds on ALL of my papers, and he doesn't even explain why. He loves to talk about off topic things that he's interested in. He is very rude and combative. I do not recommend him at all.

I do not suggest taking any classes given by this Professor, considering he made students cry, drop, or completely hate English all together. He's very disrespectful ! Whenever you need help he wouldnt help . He made a student in the class cry and drop the class. He never grades his papers on time, he makes longgggggg lectures about irrelevant things that takes up 45 minutes of the class, and his class requires multiple books that we barely read in class or even used !

This is really the worst English class I have taken in years. He gets very side tracked. For example we were watching a life science move in a english class! For WHAT! and he is very disrespectful. If you get him transfer out as fast as you can!

Aside from being an insufferable human being who holds grudges against students (especially if you dont agree with him politically), he is a horrible instructor. RUN. This professor is extremely rude. I have noticed in class when someone starts to participate, he will cut them off in the middle of their sentence. He will argue with you over differing ideals. Professor Gorksy is a very harsh grader. He lectures every class. He tries to be funny and is not. His papers are ridiculous and not creative in the slightest. He forced topics upon us rather than giving us options. If you receive him I recommend you switch professors. 0/10.

This guy really likes to hear himself talk, and thinks he is the smartest dude on the planet. He also really likes Star Wars and he bases the majority of the course off of that. So if you don't like Star Wars definitely don't take this class. Also he does bring up politics and he is very left wing so if you have any conservative leanings, AVOID!

The good: Assignments aren't too long or difficult The bad: 5 books required and needed to be new ones from the bookstore, no way to save money The ugly: He treats you like a middle schooler. Was not very kind towards students or understanding of at-home situations. Tough grader and doesn't explain instructions very well. The classwork is easy, but the lectures are monotonous and dull. Attendance is for points. Avoid if possible.

Professor Gorsky is actually beyond disrespectful to students as he has a mindset that he is above his students, which is something that is already known, as he is the instructor. Professor Gorsky will ask the class if there are any questions, and then will get mad at every question. Lastly, you learn nothing in the class.

I often struggled to stay awake during class as well. The way he wants students to write essays feels confusing and difficult. Overall, a challenging and boring class/professor.

Eugene Gorsky is utterly incompetent to be a teacher, all of his so called "lectures" are either him yelling about things done wrong-not correcting them, or talking about stories from when he was a younger man. For three essays we had an average grade of 50%, when the entire class is failing, that's a teaching issue, not a student issue

Professor Gorsky was really rude and always seemed to want to be right in everything. Participating in his class is hard since he tries to correct you and even gets mad if your answer to his question is wrong. I would not recommend taking his course since his essay prompts aren't relevant and are difficult to answer.

stay away from this guy at all costs. imagine an old guy that has dementia trying to give you a lecture. takes him 30 seconds for him to think of his next sentence. if you don't agree with him, he will grade you worse and say that you didn't convince him. terrible teacher. heard he's retiring. good riddance.
