He is an ok professor. He doesn't like to go over certain subjects that he discussed thoroughly in class. However, he is very dedicated to teaching and he gives out these cool power point sheets for every chapter.

He started out being a good professor but kinda teetered off in the end. He used the textbook's lecture notes in the beginning (which was really good) and then stopped after the 3rd test. If you're planning on taking him.......be prepared to DRAW....A LOT.

I dunno wat u ppl r complainin abt. yes he draws alot, but it helped me visualize wat the notes were talkin abt. he explained things clearly, & his tests were very fair, if not EASY! the questions were right out of his notes, that he gives online, & from wat he talked abt in class. study the class notes and u'll do well on his tests. SIMPLE AS THAT

He is a nice person and all his exams from his powerpoint and he gives fair exams. If you don't study of course you won't get a good garde.

DR. Harris is the BEST! i had him for A&P and he was very helpful. His classes are fun and his teaching methods really help you understand the material.

He's alright for BI302 Lab. Goes a bit fast in class but if you study the booklet that he gives out it's very hard not to pass his exams. Ask him a lot of questions. He's willing to tell you all that he knows. Need to dedicate yourself to any Bio Science. Lots of studying to be done. This is College not secondary school.

he is the very very best. if you want to get into the nursing program he is the MAN to have. he is very helpful in reviewing for exams, and a very good teacher. his technique is like no other teacher you've had. TRUST ME !

This professor is in a class of his own! I thought he was great. He is very knowledgeable, answers any questions you have inside or out of class, is very fair & understanding, and makes sure you have the resources you need to pass the class, but you must study. Though he may go quick at times, he will go over it as many times as needed by students

The Professor is really nice. He tends to go a little fast but that's because there are so much materials to cover in one semester. Text books are important since you'll need it for reference and study. AP2 is the same text book, therefore, you are not wasting $$

Prof. Harris is an experienced instructor with a great deal of knowledge in this subject. He states clearly what's expected from the class and those whose willing to put in the effort will most certainly earn a respectable grade. His lesson plans are posted on blackboard for easy access. I would not hesitate to recommend him to a fellow classmate.

Folks if you willing to learn something, take his class!

Entertaining prof. LOVES what he does and obsessed with monkeys. Quizzes are all mc, along with 4 papers. He shows a lot of documentarys. Don't let him get to you he can be condescending. He's real witty and sarcastic. Don't be late he will literally ask you why after class.. What is this highschool?!

The professor is straight forward with what he expects from you. Very particular about your spelling on tests so practice spelling! It's college, so you need to study and be present in class. It's a dense course so be prepared to work.

I had him only for lab, so I can't speak for lecture. In lab though, Dr. Harris is quite helpful and eager to teach his class about the subject at hand. If you don't get it, just ask him and he'll explain it to you in full detail. He's a tough grader, but study and pay attention and you'll be fine.

Aside of his obvious knowledge the professor was very willing to offer students extra help during his office hours or upon request. He acknowledges the student's effort and takes that into consideration when grading. The exam questions are no surprise but all thoroughly covered in the lectures.

Great professor, I had him for lab Omg he's Great. He makes sure you understands everything for his exams. Take him you will definitely pass your exams with 80's or 90's or even 100.

He is a great professor for biology 301 lab. He is very clear and his exams are really easy. In exam everything is from the list that he gave and he will tell you what to study during his class time. I will recommend him for biology lab. He is helpful!

To user that said "an 85 on his exam is due to self teaching" its called STUDYING & READING THE LAB BEFORE CLASS. He's very straight forward. Ends lab early but you can go over the models & ask him questions. He allows you to retest if did bad on a exam but the retest is completely different & is harder. His exams are fair & his last one was easy

I'll admit that his exams are disorganized at times but it is moreless straightfrwd. Exams r based on slides what he speaks of in class. Beware that there are many at times 2 seemingly correct ans but he wants the "best" choice. Prof is chill just pay VERY close attention to what he says in lecture or you just forfeited a couple of test Qs.

He is not a bad professor . I had him during the summer 2015 and he was willing to help. He understood certain family issues that can stress u out. If u miss one exam ,he gives second chance .I have nothing to complain about him. His class is not for lazy student and be ready to read before class. The key is to study most of his slides pink

Overall good professor, not easy A but very helpful and you must study and make sure you don't miss his class otherwise you are going to miss alot. All you have to do to pass the class is study and pay attention to what he says in class, cuz if he say it then no doubt it's going to be on the test.

I took his class while being pregnant, and i honestly loved him. He is a great professor you just need to attend the classes and he will help you if you need help if you don't understand something. I got a B+ in the class but i messed up on one of the test.

He goes by his powerpoint slides. He will point out what will be on the test. If you don't understand something on his powerpoint, then you just read it over in the textbook. Just study his powerpoint and you will get a good grade in his class.

Great professor, makes the labs animated/fun - explains in a way that's relevant to our everyday lives and easy to understand. Makes sure to cover everything in the lab packet. Read the labs before class, study for tests. AND listen/pay attention! people that had trouble probably weren't paying attention/were goofing around/giggling/etc.

He is kind of good. The only thing you need to do is to listen carefully and prepared well!!That helps a lot.

Dr. Harris was straight to the point with lectures and whatever he discussed in class basically was on the exams. There were no surprises! If you study, you'll do just fine.

I had professor Harris for Bio 301 Lab and I've to say he's very easy to pass. he tells you what you need to know and what's important to memorize.

Coming into QCC as a transfer student who previously took A&P at Nassau CC, I didn't know what to expect. Professor Harris is excellent for lab. I didn't have him for lecture, but his labs were surprisingly easy. He wants his students to pay attention so they can pass... seriously. I recommend taking him for lab, not sure about lecture.

I took Professor Harris' A&P I class in the summer. He was clear with what material he wanted you to know and what was going to be on the test. Lectures were fun and interesting. You should be able to self study like any good college student but he helps you with anything you don't understand. Be sure to ask questions and also answer them in class.

Dr. Harris is an exceptional professor, his lecture and method of explaining has been one of the best and easiest to understand. Likes to work with images so you can understand better and know what he is explaining when you see it in Lab. I just finished his class this summer would definitely take again.

Hes a great professor! He says that you need the text book, but you really dont. You have 4 exams all PowerPoint based and thats really It .

Best professor. His power points and notes are everything you need to get an A. You can use your notes for the exams. No need for textbook. He really knows what he's talking about and enjoys it too.

If biology isn't your best subject take Dr. Harris. Such a good professor. He makes each lesson understandable and his exams are exactly what he teaches. I recommend studying from his powerpoints because thats what's gonna be on the test.

Dr Harris is so good! Had him as my Anatomy & Physiology lab professor. His test aren't hard but you really have to study for them or you will not know what is what. His class is easy to understand and he even says corny dad jokes which I personally find hilarious. I would take him again in a heart beat. Just be prepared to STUDY! And study hard!

Dr. Harris is a great professor. He cares about all his students but you need to come to him when you have any questions. He will try to help you. His lecture is fun sometimes. You can really learn something from him. His class is not hard but do need to study for his test. No study is equal to BAD grade. The test is multiple choices questions.

As a lab professor he's great, he's very clear on explaining what needs to be on the tests. As long as you pay attention and review the material. You will be fine.

Dr. Harris was clear on what would be on the tests. As long as you study what is in the lab packet and write down what he states would most likely be on the exam, you will do well in his lab class. Advice- ask him multiple times to review the models with you in class. No surprise questions whatsoever- just manage your time and study.

Dr. Harris is a great Professor. if yoy pay attention in his class you will understand everything. he doesnt like anyone using phones or being late which is resonable because he wants you to pay attention and wants you to acctually learn. He allows you to correct and assignment to get a better grade somtimes. He does allow you to submit it late

Great Professor! Hes easy going; likes to make jokes. He has a great appreciation for this subject which makes his lectures very interesting. Had a great time in this class. He gives quizzes and he gives a list of vocabulary words to define beforehand. He also allows you to use the vocabulary list during the quiz. An easy writing intensive class.

Professor Harris is easy going and very clear in lecture. He provides power point slides for all lectures at the beginning of semester, all info is from textbook. Power points are basic info, you need to read the textbook for everything to make sense. No review or review sheet for exams. Tricky multiple choice questions. Definitely study every day!

Prof Harris is a great lab instructor. He speaks clearly and goes over things if you ask. List of anatomy is given at beginning of semester, anything on list can be used for exams so make sure you know all parts. Bone exam was tough, be sure to study the smaller bones. Student learning center has all the same models and was super helpful

He is one of the best professor at the QCC. He makes it very clear what he want his students to know. He has great sense of humor, too. Make sure you do you part, go to learning center where they have all the models, and you will be fine.

If you have the chance to take Prof. Harris, do yourself a favor and take him. He is an amazing professor that knows how to teach, speaks clearly and cares that you understand the material. He'll make the class entertaining and interesting and go out of his way to help you learn everything. Take advantage of the learning center and you'll do well!

I really enjoyed both his lecture and lab classes. Very informative, helpful and extremely fair with grading.

Professor Harris is awesome! His lectures and powerpoints are clear and to the point. He teaches you exactly what you need to know. I highly recommend taking him! He'll give you a strong foundation for AP2

this professor is awesome just follow the lab manual and you will pass his jokes are funny class is always entertaining and fundamental.

Prof Harris is wonderful, he really cares about his students and wants each of them to succeed. After the second exam my grades improved dramatically mostly because I studied the material the wrong way in the beginning. Study the models using the study guide and you will be fine . He's also very funny and good looking which is a plus .

Prof Harris is good. I have only taken him for lecture. He cares. He says a lot of dad jokes, some are funny but it helps the class to stay awake. He teaches with pictures to help you understand. The only down side is what he emphasizes in class is never on the tests. But study the powerpoints and read the book for clarification and youll do great

Professor is very caring and tells a lot of jokes. apart from that, he is very good at delivering his lectures and knows the material in depth. I'm not saying the class is easy but just pay attention and come to class and I guarantee you'll get a good grade

GREAT PROFESSOR. i would recommend him for bio 301. hes one of the few that knows his material. doesn't need power point slides, books or anything to know what to say. he was an amazing way of explain his work. pay attention & take notes and you'll pass.

Dr Harris is one of the best Prof at Qcc. You wont regret for taking his class. You just need to study like for any other bio class. This is coming from an average student.

Professor Harris prepared me to succeed in nursing school. He is my favorite teacher at QCC. I learned a lot and enjoyed his lectures.

Amazing professor for lab. He goes above and beyond in his lectures and in lab. First test is based on the worksheet he will provide. The next 3 tests are based on identifying and naming the models used in lab. Never skip his class. A&P is a difficult subject and you owe it to yourself to give 100 percent just like he does in class.

Professor Harris is a very good lecture and Lab professor. His class is not hard if you study your materials. He is a good choice for nursing school foundation. Make use of the student learning center they are very helpful for you to be able to pass A&P. I got B but I know if I had work a little harder then I would have a better grade.

I really enjoyed prof Harriss Lec/lab class. However, he is a very tough grader. You have to really put in the time/work in order to pass his class. He does not curve & does not give extra credit which I did not like but I respect it because he wants you to work hard for the grade. Although I got a C+ I still have respect for prof Harris. Dr Harris is probably thee best A&P Professor you would hope for both in class and generally as a person. He believes in putting in work to achieve the grade you desire. A&P is only easy if you seek extra help, study his PP ahead of class, record him �� ,Youtube and go thru the text book for additional information. An A is achievable.

If I had the chance to take this professor for A&P2, I would. He is one of the greatest anatomy professors. I took A&P1 in a different school and I did not learn as much as I learned in his class. Hes very entertaining and funny during lectures. He is not a tough grader. His exams are fair if you study. He grasps every students attention. TAKE HIM!

Dr. Harris is a great professor. He clearly outlines what he expects from you and makes sure you have all the tools needed to get a good grade in his class. The material is difficult but he makes sure you understand it clearly.

Dr. Harris was one of the best science professors I have ever taken. His A&P course is heavy but he is clear, patient, and answers all your questions. As long as you study hard and know the material, you will do well. Also, he cracks so many dad jokes, its great.

I took this course during the summer. Since summer course is 7weeks long study, it was intense. There are many things that I had to memorize and understand, but Professor Harris explained explicitly and repeadly (if we asked for clarification). I think the material itself is hard, but professor made it easy and fun for students to understand!

He's extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the subject and can answer almost all questions pertaining to it. A+P is a tough subject but he's great at keeping your attention and explaining the material in a way that will translate over to the average student. He also gave great tips on studying habits! My best professor in college thus far!

Professor Harris is one of the best professors I have right now. His lectures are very clear, repeats it when you didn't understand something and very specific to details. He would let us review only for exams/quizzes his powerpoint summary and what he discussed in class, making things easier for us to review and get better prepared for it

HE IS A GREAT PROFESSOR FOR lAB, I WOULD TAKE A CLASS WITH AGAIN, NO DOUBT

He explains things on the power-point in a simple easy to understand explanations, and he will answer your questions. There's no extra credit or assignments. He will point out things you have to memorize, but there is no review sheets, so attending lecture is highly recommended to know what you need to focus on, so you don't over study.

WOW! Professor Harris really makes everything clear, great lectures and the taste are based on what he said in the class. DO NOT TAKE HIM if you don't want to study. BUT if you want to improve your knowledge and use it for the future professor harris is a must. Take him if you want to learn something.

Prof Harris is very enthusiastic and it makes this very hefty subject very enjoyable. He goes slowly, however, my suggestion is to take a lower level biology class before you take A&P if you can. Even though he goes slowly and explains thoroughly, this class is still difficult for beginners. Great guy though!

He writes his own pp, and exams, so the content is consistent. He also includes a few questions that you only get in the books, but not much. Does not use connect, which is huge. He also makes the lecture simple and easy to understand. But if hes behind on lecture he will rush through the lecture so I had to re watch the recordings.

Professor Harris is one of the most memorable professors I had so far in QCC. I respected his curriculum because A&P isn't an easy course, yet he was able to get information delivered CLEARLY. He teaches very well, he cares about his students and he will answer any question you have regarding the topics you learn. TAKE HIS CLASS!

Professor Harris's lectures are very clear, and he explains in detail when you have questions so you are never lost. Exams are very fair, as long as you paid attention in lecture. He's a great teacher and it's clear he wants the best for you!!

He is very good professor, he goes over slides and breaks it down for you to understand. He also has a funny personality. You do have to study for his test if you want a good grade so you have to work for it.

I really enjoyed his class. Makes the subjects feel not-so-serious. I think the negative reviews are about his lectures? But honestly don't see how people could feel that way. I had him for lab & loved the class. I learned so much & really didn't mind being there. He seemed helpful to people who missed classes & exams too. Highly recommend!

A&P is a demanding course. Highly recommend you take Dr. Harris for both lecture & laboratory! Your allowed to record, & he provides videos for you to watch that are short & clear. The slides are good too, but you have to actively listen in lecture (take notes) for a good grade. The textbook is a good study addition. His teaching style memorable.

If you go to class, pay attention, watch his slides, show your effort, and study hard, then you will get a good grade. Professor Harris is very helpful, and his class is clear and wonderful.

I received a low grade on my anatomy class not because of him but because of my lecture professor. HE'S THE BEST PROFESSOR. He cares about the students and makes sure you understand everything he's saying. I don't think I will forget professor Harris. HE IS AMAZING. TAKE HIM, not just to get a good grade but also to understand anatomy

Dr. Harris was by far one of the best professors I had. Easy going and always in good spirits. He tries to get the class to participate. As long as you study the material he highlights, you will do great in his class.

Very great professor. He is a great teacher. Just study and memorise what he says you should. Also follow the key word list.

Taken during the summer. Prof Harris teaches the course well and communicates what he expects you to know.I will say that he made one too many comments suggesting that an "engineer" is not behind creation. Unprovoked comments that had nothing to do with the material (saying this as a Biology major at another school who has taken evolution classes).

He is fantastic and keeps you engaged throughout the whole lecture. He is full of dad jokes and does NOT like it when you are late, so please prepare to be on time. Exams are easy if you prepare, start to study as soon as he teaches the content because that will give you enough time to retain the information. I wished he taught AP 302, Im so sad:(

Please take him for BI 301 He is the best professor I have ever had and he made me love learning again! He cares for his students, is passionate about the subject, and he is so funny but he hates when people come late so make sure you are on time! I wish I can take him for A&P2 :( I always look forward to going in class and I will miss this class.

Professor Harris is the best.he alway explain every concept clear. besides, i like his jokes. he has passionate on teaching. 4 exams on lab and four exams on lecture, lab exams have a little extra credit. consentrate during class and review everything on the review sheets, don't be late for classes, you will learn a lot from him and get easy A!

Presents the information in a straightforward and clear manner, funny, actually enjoys teaching the material, and is always on the side of students and wants them to succeed. Truly a gem of a professor and I am bummed that he is not teaching A&P 2 because if he did, I would enroll in his class in a flash. Take him, you will not regret it one bit!!

I would highly recommend Professor Harris to anyone would like have good class experience and willing to learn AP. Attend well on the classes and ready for the review. If Professor Harris teaches AP2, that would be a wonderful thing. 5 star absolutely.

Took Dr. Harris for A&P 1 this summer for 7 weeks. Because it was a summer course, there was a lot to learn in such little time, but Dr. Harris really made an effort to work with us to do well on the exams. He even gave us review sheets for both lecture & lab exams. He makes an effort to make class fun & engaging. Highly recommend taking him!

Prof. Harris is a great professor bc he knows how to actually lecture well & describe material to students. I epermited from QC and have nvr been happier. Prof. Harris is a serious man but definitely cares if his students pass. Gives study guides that help sm. If u use them, study and pay attention in class you will do well. I had him for lab&lect.

I took his lecture&lab at same time. He cares about students. he always come to you ask if you need any help. Lab is soooooo easy, everyone in our class get A. Lecture is hard. His lecture test is hard.Just try your best to study. He gave curve for the letter grade.Just show good attitude, he will help.

I took him during the summer of 2024 and it was the best decision I made. He taught so clear and exams were based on what he taught. Really good professor. Just study and dont be so lazy and laid back.

his labs is easy, he mostly tells you want wil come on the exams, and gives you the information and explains it to you, but you have to practice. i Heard his Lectures is horrible though i hope this helps. You can definitely take him for Labs.
