This guy is not good at all! DO NOT TAKE HIM if you are expecting to learn in class. You basically have to teach yourself by reading the book. His lectures are useless as he does not explain anything. He basically solves the problem on the board for himself and does not explain any of the steps he takes. Unless you're a Math Wizz or NERD, and
WOW.... THE most unnattentive teacher ever. everyone in class is failing. he is HORRIBLE. He doesnt explain ANYTHING he does, just writed problems on board and solves them. doesnt give reviews or test reviews, he thinks its cheating. all your grade is based upon on is what u get on tests, and the tests are only about 5-7 VERY difficult questions
He is not easy but he is very willing to help with any questions you have. Very clear explanations of concepts. Do your homework and ask questions when you have them and you will succeed!
don't think its an easy class, cause it isn't. It's lots of fun though and you learn some pretty wierd stuff.
Very knowledgable and friendly teacher. Terrific math teacher.
Greatest Math Man to EVER LIVE! Makes math fun, always looked forward to his classes! Bonus: Fantastic sense of humor!
Took it in summer and we covered the whole book in 8 weeks, fast pacing. He is nice and funny at times. Best advice: Do your homework so you can understand the class.
Eugen is a great mathmatician. He loves what he does. Sometimes however he can be fast. he is very approachable if you need help and explain exactly what you need help with. You will need to do your homework. So if your a first year freshman looking to have a good time don't take this class. But any real student shouldn't have a problem with it.
HORRIBLE... his class was pointless. he did the problems on the board pretty much for his own entertainment because he didnt TEACH them. he messed up probably 2 or 3 times a class.
he did not help at all and didnt even teach sine and cosine. he said that lying and cheating wouldnt be tolerated but im pretty sure he saw all of us cheating and didnt do anything about it. and he went outside of the building sometimes. he made jokes that werent funny and he had a bad accent and messy handwriting. he wrote stuff without explaining
He was unable to solve problems from the book which he gave as notes. Any other notes were taken directly from the examples in the book. Nice guy but oblivious to the fundamentals and purpose of teaching. I did not learn anything and probably ended the class more confused than when I started.
His accent is impossible to understand. He doesn't explain what he's doing. I took this class because I needed some filler units, so I took bonehead math. I did this stuff in 7th grade and I understood it better then. If you ask questions, he gives poor "answers". Never take him as a professor, he is the worst.
Eugene is a very good teacher. He teaches clearly and explains the material well. He knows what he is talking about. I highly recommend him.
Eugene is a great professor. He clearly knows the material and explains it well. I highly recommend him.
Do not recommend taking this class
I wouldn't recommend this teacher if you. He is the most boring teacher that I've ever had. All that he seems to do in class is read a problem, fumble through it, and then pick the next problem. He also makes a good amount of mistakes while doing problems in front of class. Me and my classmates often have to correct him.
Sometimes you will have to wait in line at Math Resource Center to get help with Calculus (not all teachers know the subject). Look up the schedule for Eugene Ionel if you need assistance with higher level math.

Mr. Ionel is so awesome. He took the time to make sure people understood what was going on. Math is not an easy subject to teach or to understand, so I give the guy credit. I wish I would have been able to take him for my next class too.
The semester is finally over! I do not have my grade yet, but I feel pretty confident about my final score thanks to Mr. Ionel.
Really not happy with him :(
Writes problems and solves them without really explaining. I do not recommend this guy. All he does is write and write. If you want to know how a problem's done, you have to ask him. He won't explain how it's solved if you won't ask. Also, he skips steps which makes it harder to understand.
Worst math teacher i've ever had. I'm a bio major, so i have a good grasp on math but this guy doesn't even try. Wont do reviews unless you ask, or allow calculators. Blasts through lessons with minimal explanation. Lots of mistakes on board, has a monotone voice and seems uninterested in our progress. At least 60 is passing in this class.
This is teach yourself math. Go ahead and look for another professor. He's not the one for you.
He takes so much points off even if you got the answer right (or partially right) because you need to write your solution "his way"! Meaning, you should do problems exactly how it's formatted when it was discussed. He is the WORST MATH INSTRUCTOR I KNOW! Some of my classmates are really good at math, and now their grades are PLUNGING DOWN.
The best math instructor! I finished high school abroad, and the instructor’s explanations were clear, interesting and enjoyable. If you're serious about Math, and plan to transfer to a top school, Eugene Ionel is the best choice! You have to really study at home, do your homework! Math is not an easy subject, but with this instructor it was fun.
He seems approachable & tries to be funny in the beginning. But when he actually starts to teach the class, it's all monotone. He basically writes problems on the board and tells you to study that. You really have to learn on your own in this class because he definitely does not teach it or explain anything.
He was a tough but fair teacher. I learned a lot from him and he definitely knows what he is doing. An effort to talk to him outside of class goes a long way. One must spend 2 hours out of class for every hour in class in order to succeed. He is tough, but he will make you a better student in the long run. I'm glad I was in his class.
He introduced me a new world of mathematics. It can be fun. He explains mathematics very easily and clearly based on the definition, and he could answer whatever we asked. I lile his lecture and recommend all of you.
Ionel was horrible when it came to pretty much everything. I can't even think of something that he was good at. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS. His accent is really hard to get past as well
ABSOLUTELY DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS. This is the worst teacher I have ever had in my entire life. He mumbles and slurs, he does not explain anything clearly, he extends class breaks as long as possible just to surf around on his laptop, I could go on.
I wish I would had read these reviews I took his class and it was unbelievable, He does not explain how he get the equation solved. He assumes that we know it all and he is there just to sort of explain. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS.
Really? Eugene has very traditional teaching style. He always makes sure that all the questions are answered, unless you ask to raise your grade for no reason. You do have to come prepared.
Good guy. Obviously loves teaching. Use the text a lot. Very funny and fun lectures and makes things clear. A lot of online graded homework. Not an easy grader. To get good grade you need to work hard. Very friendly and informal.
Took him in the summer with a class of 35, which ended with a class of 15. I was dumb not to get a refund. His accent is thick and annoying. He explains things to a point but his voice is so monotone and boring! Also, he will mark you wrong on a test if you get the answer correct, but write it HIS way. Do yourself a favor, and take another course.
My high school teachers didn't help me to learn at all. After taking entrance text, I got to embarrassing Intermediate Algebra level. Eugene Ionel was the first teacher who taught me to use textbook and explained math concepts. He had said, that when you understand the material, you do not need to memorize. It was hard, but paid off big time!
I think he's knowledgemable but his teaching style is tough. He doesn't explain concepts. All he does is make you work on problems and you have to take the time to teach yourself. The math lab employees become your teacher in this class. Unless you are the kind of person that can spend loads of time self-teaching, this class isn't for you.
Horrible teacher. Talks to the board all class and doesn't explain anything clearly. You have to do everything his way or you get points deducted. No calculator allowed. You have to teach yourself everything. He also assigns the most expensive text book. Constantly writes the wrong answers on the board. DO NOT TAKE HIM. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
Awesome. Half the class is failing because they didn't put in the work. He doesn't spoon feed you info, but if you stay up to date on the online HW/Reading, definitely not very difficult. I highly recommend him.
The teacher is a nice teacher, he teach content was easy understand. he like to help students solve different problems.
Has a very thick Russian Accent so is pretty hard to understand. Really bad at teaching the material. He does all the work on the board skips steps and doesn't tell you and then stands in front of it and expects you to see through him. He's only helpful if you ask him a bunch of questions. And his tests are really hard.
He is a pretty good professor. Although his class was not easy, he would explain everything clearly and detailed. I love his class because I can really learn in the class. He could make me pay attention to what he taught. Anyway, I highly recommend his class if you really want to learn something about math!
don't take his class. very hard to understand because of his russian accent (even though i am russian myself) and you basically have to teach yourself. very traditional style, hard tests. also, very unpleasant attitude towards his students. although he does give a lot of extra credit
This is true. He teaches very traditional way. He requires to have and read textbook. Tests are hard. Grading policy is very clear and transparent. If you want to learn math then take him. However, if you want an easy class then take somebody else.
This man was by far the worse teacher I have ever had in any subject. He speaks into the board, covers it, and skips steps among other things. His thick Russian accent doesn't help the process either but isn't necessarily the problem. If you ask him to break the problem down for you, he simply cannot explain it. He will just point at the board.
Worst teacher I have ever had. Very hard to understand his thick Russian accent. Very specific rules on how he wants you to write out your work. Does not know how to teach. Always messing up while doing examples on the board. No calculators allowed. Rude to students. You basically have to spend hours and teach yourself in this class.
Don't want him as a teacher again, Makes you write in pen.. for math, thought that was kind of weird. If you don't format the problems the way he wants on tests then it's a zero, even if all the work is there with an answer. Very rude when you don't understand something, and not very good at explaining. Heavy accent- never pronounced my name right.
Thick Russian accent hard to understand. Tries too hard on jokes that are not funny. Gives life lessons during class. Eats a ton of food nonstop, chews with a mouth open. Hard grader, very picky. And not to mention, when you ask for help, he gets really close to your personal space. If you don't have any knowledge of the math, don't take the clas
He is one of the worst professors that I've ever had. He teaches Unclearly and when you ask him something he says " you suppose to know this already" , He tells jokes that are not funny and he starts the class very late. I didn't like him at all. DON'T TAKE HIS CLASS!
You don't get to learn much from him, he always asks you to read the book instead of asking him the questions. But you can get an easy A because the tests questions are almost same (only different values) as in the study guide. Make sure you practice the study guide well and you will get an A. No homeworks at all.
Absolutely horrible. For half of the time you spend in his class, maybe even longer, he literally does not teach. He gets to class 20 minutes late daily, then take 15 minutes to take attendance, and when he gets to the teaching part, he mumbles quietly and does nothing to engage with the class. At the end of the semester, there were 9 students left
You need to study for his class. He provides sample tests on his website and in class tests are very similar to practice tests. If you study and reserve enough time then you should be fine. No surprises on the tests.
Do not take his class! He does not lecture, I get students are suppose to read material before hand but he does not go over it in class. He will just start doing examples with no explanation and expects you to know what he is doing. Any question asked will not be clearly explained.
He's the most infuriating and useless professor I have ever had. He blocks the board, says everyone's name wrong (Somehow, my classmate's name became "Roomel".) He does not explain anything. Apparently we should know everything already. He gives a TON of work-and doesn't go over it. I'd rather write 4 essays a week than take this class.
He is the worst professor I've ever had in my life, and one of the worst people I've ever met. Constantly makes mistakes but expects us to make none, exceptionally boring, impossible to understand, incompetent, can't do anything in his head, even basic math, and acts like if you can you're somehow an idiot. No partial credit, 5 hard questions exam.
Best math teacher i have ever had!
Professor Ionel was one of the best math teachers I've had. You have to work in his class, and he speaks like a textbook; but I guarantee you will leave his class with a much better understanding of the subject. Lot's of other students complaints come from their lack dedication and discipline. They believe they are entitled to have their hand held.
He is the worst teacher I have ever had. His lectures do not connect with the homework, he does not give partial credit on exams, and his explanations are very unclear. The class started with about forty students when I took his class. More than half of the class dropped, and only eight people were passing by the time of the final exam.
I took Calculus 2 from Eugene last semester and have learned a lot. I feel well prepared for the next class. Getting an A was a bonus too :) I really enjoyed solving an extra credit problem on each test.
With his serious demeanor and surprisingly funny jokes, I felt relieved with the difficult material. Underestimating what is expected will quickly result in a poor test grade. Even though he may be critical, he understands the human condition and will compromise to help students succeed. I would recommend this class for anyone who works hard.
Great Professor! Don't be scared by his serious look, he's actually quite funny. Practice exams he gives are very useful. Not an easy A teacher, but you can learn a lot from him. Strongly recommend.
He is a good and funny professor. Even though his tests are so difficult, but he gives anyone who shows thier efforts many credits! It was really hard for me but worth to take. His class makes you work hard and learn a lot. He also gives many chances for makeup, which is nice. Better read the textbook.
He has very transparent grading policy. Three tests, final and online homework. He publishes practice tests online and previous semesters real tests with solutions. Tests are not easy, but you do not have surprises on the test day. Gives you plenty of time for the tests.
Very good professor
Worst math professor at CSM he doesn't explain anything and just does the shortcuts and when people ask he makes them sound dumb and gives attitude and every single is a point and hes very boring and not funny at all
Mr. Ionel asks questions on tests in depth. You can use an unlimited number of pages on the test. Exams must be legibly written on graph paper. Assigns graded homework on WebAssign. It is a lot of work but counts as 20% of the grade. Definitely, likes math.
He has sample tests and tests from last semesters online. In class tests are very similar to these tests. As long as you study at home you should be fine. He really likes math. Gives plenty of time on the tests, but requires neat handwriting in return.
He lectures a lot. Assigns reading from the textbook. Provides sample tests and publishes solutions.
He publishes sample tests and tests and solutions for past semesters. Expects neat handwriting on the tests and it should be written on the graph paper. Graded online homework is on the WebAssign. It is 20% of your grade. You can use HW to move up your grade. Can talk about Math nonstop. Can be very funny.
Worst professor Ive had, doesnt even know how to teach basic algebra.
He is the best teacher
Took him for Calculus 2, he's not very good at explaining things, but the class isn't too difficult if you're willing to teach yourself the material. Your grade basically depends on three tests plus the final, but there are no surprises on the tests. You're gonna hate math for a while in this class, but the suffering ends quickly.
He expects you to write tests on graph paper very neat. But he gives you a lot of time. For 6 problems and extra credit he allocated two 50 minutes class periods. He tests your understanding, not memorization. Tests are not easy, but no surprises. He keeps all tests from previous semesters are available on his web site.
He has a great passion for Math and Physics. He always coveres sections of Calculus related to the application in Physics. You can find tests for Calculus he gave before on his website. Tests are very structured, no surprises. If you enjoy Mathematics and try to learn a lot, then he is a perfect match for you. 6 test problems for 2 hours.
Good: -Good sense of humor -Willing to help you outside of class -Gives straightforward extra credit -Gives access to many practice problems Not so good: -Very hard grader -Assumes you know a LOT from previous math classes -Moves too quickly through sections -Does not explain unless you ask him to -Lots of hw problems aren't taught in class
He is a great teacher! He does a wonderful job explaining the material. His lectures are clear and easy to understand and they will prepare you for the tests. He is gives very precise, well- defined, and easy to understand instructions regarding his requirements. He grades tests fairly and gives partial credit. I would definitely recommend him.
He's okay. He moves onto sections fairly quickly. You do have to study outside of class everyday to understand. 3 test and a final. Gives extra credit final. Drops the lowest test and replaces it with the final. He posts previous tests online also practice problems. There is also online HW which is like 20% of your grade.
don't take him if u value your energy, time and life. we live only once, and take 251 only once as well. gotta enjoy and learn sth in the class. but you can't learn in his class. I am telling you, don't take him!!!
He is a great math teacher with a great sense of humor. Very passionate. He asks students to work hard, Gives a lot of online graded homework. Uses webassign. It is 20% of your grade.
He gives easily extension for homework. Gives 10 extra points for using MRC. Clear grading criteria: 4 tests, final, online graded homework. Does grading according to his syllabi. Requires hard copy the textbook. And really expects you to read this textbook.
Nice instructor. Likes math. Clear grading policy. Great sense of humor. Study a textbook and do your online homework. You can practice solving problems from previous years exams.
If you can avoid taking Ionel do it. He's a friendly guy with a good sense of humor and likes to talk to his students but he's a pretty bad teacher. Expect to do most of the learning outside of class either with tutors or online resources. I dropped him about halfway because I really wasn't understanding the concepts, just memorizing for his tests.
He likes math very much. Homework is assigned online. It is graded and it is 20% of your grade. Do not skip classes. It is very difficult to catch up. Grading policy is very straightforward: 4 tests, final and online homework on WebAssign. The lowest test score is replaced by final exam score if your final exam score is higher.
He likes to teach math. You should read the textbook and spend time outside of the classroom. Grading policy is very clear. 4 tests and final plus graded homework. No quizzes/projects, etc. Hast all previous tests on his website. No surprises on the exam. 5 or 6 problems for 100 minutes. Not much time pressure, but you need to really know the mater
Good teacher. Passionate about Math. Clear grading policy. Online homework countered as 17% of your final grade. All previous exams are disclosed and published online.
Great math instructor. He makes available tests from previous semesters with solutions. No surprises on the exams. He gives two class periods (100 minutes) for 6-8 problems.
Very passionate and good teacher. Very good sense of humor. Clear grading policy. Gives extra 10 points for studying in Math Resource Center for 16 hours per semester.
Professor Ionel takes great pleasure in proving how clever/smart he is to the class. I'm a very strong math student but he doesn't explain things in a helpful way. He'd rather have a "gotcha!" moment than an "ah ha!" He frequently goes on tangents that he expects you to find funny, even if they're factually inaccurate.
Great Instructor. Very enthusiastic in class. Transparent grading policy. He publishes solutions for all exams online. You can see all old exams in the archive online.
Great teacher. Gives plenty of time during exams. No heavy time pressure on exams, but you need to know material well. Exams are similar to previous exams which you can find in archives on his website. He publish solutions of the exams online after it is graded. Classes are lecture heavy.
DO NOT ENROLL IN ANY OF HIS CLASSES! This professor is absolutely terrible. His teaching methods are bizarre and don't allow students to comprehend the material. He doesn't care about the success of his own students. To give you an idea: The class average final grade was 51%. He tests physics concepts on exams. 13 people "finished" class.
This was my last class prior to transferring to a UC. I feel well prepared thanks to Mr. Ionel. He makes sure students understand the material, not just memorize. He encourages students to ask questions and takes time to explain problems step by step.
I am glad I took professor Ionel's trig class. The material is a bit challenging but he does an awesome job explaining the concepts and making it very clear. He is very upfront about his requirements and you can definitely succeed if you put an effort and do the homework. He has a great sense of humor. You will learn a lot in his class.
Very detailed professor. Lectures were structured and well organized. Very helpful. Exams were true to lectures and practice exams. Having one problem be 10 to 15 points made it possible to make a mistake but still get most of the credit. Gives enough time on the exams. Can use unlimited amount of paper on the exam. Just be sure to staple it.
Very knowledgeable and methodical professor. Makes material easy to understand. Tests from previous semesters with solutions are available online. No nasty surprises on the tests. Good sense of humor. Will take his class again.
Very good lecturer. Transparent grading policy. Provides sample questions for the exams.
I took Eugene Ionel for Calc I, got a B, and took him again for Calc III, got an A. These classes are not easy, and Prof Ionel makes you work for it. Lot of people don't like him for it, but he is a tough grader but will help you understand your mistake. Don't be afraid to approach it. Despite his rating, he is a good teacher if you make an effor
There are 4 midterms(make-up test available) and one final. The professor is very careful about how the students are doing, so he would adjust the level of difficulty by it. Also, he gives review sheets for every midterm. So to get good grades, you should do all the homework, be clear on the material on review sheets, and be clear on the concept
I did Algebra 2 with him and easily passed with an A. There are 4 tests and 1 final at the end. The practice tests and the actual tests are very similar so if you do them you should pass. He gives good lectures and has a good sense of humor. He give a lot of HW so its better not to fall behind. He also gives Extra Credit opportunities.
Professor Ionel is pretty hilarious and has a lot of insights on life to share. He has a very straightforward teaching and grading style and sticks pretty much to the textbook. He provides plenty of test prep questions, some of which show up on the exam so it pays to put in the time to work them out beforehand.
If you show up to his class, take notes during lectures, and supplement with a fair amount of reading from textbook, you will understand the material as well as pass with an A. Exam questions are never out of left field, always covered at some point during lecture previous to exam. I do recommend him.
Awful at online teaching. During the tests (that he made us buy a tablet for to write digitally and then made us use a separate computer for the zoom camera to show our face) he talks and he allows other students to talk. He also is very unforgiving with this online format, expecting perfect handwriting when some of us have only a finger to use.
Be sure to review all previous exams in the archive on his website. He records all his lecture and you can export all his notes from scribblar to get a pdf file. Download recorded video lectures on your hard drive. He lecturers a lot over the Zoom. Eugene covers all sections in order. No jumping around in the textbook.
He didn't spend enough time explaining, and spent too much time on tedious problems. His exams varied in difficulty, but he graded much less harshly when he accidentally made the test too hard. He's helpful in office hours and often told us what to expect on the tests. He posts many practice problems/past exams. Take book notes + do book problems!!
He is no joke one of the worst if not the worst math professor I have ever had. Class consists of him writing the main theorem of the section on the board and then immediately doing problems with no explanation whatsoever. It feels like I am paying to watch someone do math problems instead of teaching them. If you want to self teach take this class
Do NOT take him. He doesn't teach at all. I literally would learn more off some random YouTube video than to watch him doing math problems on his own for two hours like as if it was his own homework. He doesn't explain ANYTHING. He sounds so depressed and unmotivated. Like he had to have 10 cups of coffee just to function properly. DO NOT TAKE HIM.
Professor Ionel teaches you to understand the problem instead of memorizing formulas. I like his presentation style and step by step instructions. If I have a question, I can get on Zoom during his office hours, and he provides one on one support until I understand the material. He makes math interesting. Highly recommended.
I have taken this class during Summer, during the lockdown. I have really enjoyed the class as we have covered a lot of material, which was delivered clearly and properly (with proofs, examples, etc.), my calculus understanding has been sharpened greatly. The professor is ready to talk about mathematics and physics beyond the class which I liked.
He's just a bad person. It feels like the 5 star rating people didn't even take the same professor as me because he's pretty much Mr. Crocker from Fairly Oddparents but less funny and more monotonous. His two moods are angry at the whole class or dead inside. Also, he pretty much doesn't teach but that's already stated in other comments.
Professor Ionel was very demanding, and this had the effect of my learning much of the material. His insistence that we not use calculators or any other aids during exams seemed annoying at the time, but in retrospect was probably a good thing: It forced us to learn the material more deeply.
Mr. Ionel provides a lot of lecturing material. He hardly skips any material from the textbook and goes in direct order. All previous exams including final exams are available on his website. He used WebWork for homework instead of WebAssign. It is free. So it saves you $100. You are required to read textbook. But it is Ok to use older editions.
Eugene uses DePrima textbook. You do not need to buy the latest edition. I use the 10th edition and it is good enough. He publishes review questions before the text and goes over most of them in class. He lectures over the Zoom using Zoom White Board. It is like going to CSM but no driving. All lectures are videotaped.
Eugene used the Scribblar whiteboard in the class. It was very nice. You had a PDF file of the writing to complement the video recording. Be sure you go over all problems in past exams. Grading is very clear: 4 exams, final, and homework. He was fine to give extensions on the homework, but you have to do it. It is 10% of your grade. Likes jokes.
Are there 2 professors with the same name? This guy had 0 sense of humor. He runs his online class with a dozen rules - cameras always on, must use tablet (no pen&paper allowed) during exam, Zoom chat disabled (even though people were helping each other on there) Seems falling asleep in his own lectures. Half the class got <70% in first exam (fail)
Be sure to go to the office hours and ask questions. Eugene will help you, but you have to be proactive. He discloses all previous exams with solutions. Be sure that you do as many problems as you can do before the exam. It helps a lot. His exam patterns do not change much. Read textbook. He follows the textbook very closely.
Eugene is very easy on being late for students. Just send him a message in chat that you are here. Gives extra time on an exam if he sees that most of the students need it. Be sure to do all problems from past exams on his website.
My experience in a Calculus 3 class with Professor Ionel was positive. I think that his use of many drawings as well as a lot of homework helped me understand the material, but it required a lot of work on my part. If you miss the lectures, make sure to tell him in advance with a justification and watch the recording, it helps a lot.
Be sure to go over problems done in class before exam. Listen him in class. Then you will be fine. Eugene gives enough time on exams. Write nicely on exam papers.
Very good serious class. I like his way of teaching and the level of a lecture presentation. Be ready to read a textbook and invest a lot of effort.
Take this class if you want to learn Calculus 3 by yourself. The lectures personally did not help at all because he worked word for word off of textbook. Tests are 70% with a 20% final and rest is HW. Homework is a lot and not very related to tests. Definitely look at the past tests because they're basically identical.
There are 4 exams, the final and homework. All previous exams are available online. Be sure you do all problems from previous exams and review questions. He is easily reachable during his office hours. I like his style of lecturing.
Eugene gives four exams and a final. There are a lot of previous exams from last year. I try to do all of them because his tests are similar from semester to semester. He records all his lectures. So rewatch them after class. He does not skip material from the textbook. Try not to miss his classes. It is hard to catch up during the summer.
I did very well in this class. It was hard; you needed to rewatch his lectures and read a textbook. But he keeps all previous exams for this class available for students. Difficulty between exams is consistent from exam to exam and year to year. I particularly like that all his lectures are handwritten on the whiteboard, not slides.
I DO NOT recommend taking this teacher. The whole semester was him just reading word by word off of a slide show without explaining anything in depth. When he does problems, which is not often at all, he just writes them down like he's doing it for himself. There is no teaching really involved.
He loves telling stories, has a thick accent, and makes you pay for textbooks and the class on mathxl. He is flexible about giving extensions on homework. He only teaches by reading off the slideshow which is already posted or gives practice problems to work on then solves it himself after. He is there to help you but get ready to teach yourself.
