Class is relatively easy. Be sure to go to class, because the attendance points will sneak up on you if you miss a lot. teacher is really nice. her tests are fair, but again, make sure you go to class, because she pretty much just asks questions that she covered in lecture. her TA's are good too.
shes awesome, the tests are easy, shes hot
i didn't like her very much because she gives an insane amount of assignments. paper due every friday, plus in class assignments weekly, and random ones thrown in as well. plus attendance will kill you. had it not been for attendance grades, i would have made an A, but because i hated class, B.
She's very straightforward. Most of what is on test is from lecture and there are random attendence assignments, so you should go! Some of test Q's are from readings, though. HW due every Friday. Tests fairly easy-all multiple choice. Gives extra credit options. If you GO TO CLASS, should make A/B.
I think she is very fair in her grading and teacher. She gave extra credit for doing certain surveys and everything presented is according to test. Attendance may be a killer and there are quite a few assignments, but nothing that is excruciatingly hard.
She is very good at explaining things. It makes the class really interesting. She has good power points and gives you enough time to write stuff down. Great professor.
This classe is ridiculously easy. She teaches out of the book. Class is boring. Subject is interesting.
I really liked this class. It was interesting and fairly easy. You have to go to class because there are quizzes and in-class assignments. Moderate studying is necessary.
Easy class, material is boring since she teaches straight from the book. Make sure you show up to class on time, quizzes are generally given at the beginning.
Good teacher, she engages the class well. I think she is starting to make the tests just a little more difficult but overall they aren't too bad. Tho the questions are "Pick the best answer." Which can make them kind of confusing. Study the notes (the tests focus on them) and you will do fine.
She is a wonderful Professor. Engaging, thought provoking, intelligent and a hard worker. The test are difficult, you really have to show up for class and read ahead of time. She outlines things clearly in the syllabus and keeps it simple. I would take another class by her. You get more than you pay for.
Class is very easy. Only a dunce could fail. Just read the material and show up for class and you'll do well on the test. Attendance is very important because of pop quizzes and in-class assignments.
Test were hard. Memorize the book. Read notes before each class. Quizzes every week (easy if you read), weekly assignments in class somewhat complicated it will either clarify or cause confusion. Tries to make it more diffcult(scientific) than it is. But then that's just psychology. She is a good Prof who really tries to help without getting close.
Dr. Cox explains everything very thoroughly, and she really knows the material well. Her class is not incredibly hard, although her tests can be a bit tricky. She tends to lecture almost verbatim from the book about 85% of the time. Sometimes she even gives the same examples. Also, her lectures can be a bit dry. But she is good overall.
This class was pretty hard. You must put your thinking cap on before you take the test. You have to know the material inside and out. Im not kidding. This class will consume you.
Intro to Personality. This professor is the worst professor I have ever had at any school! She is horrible. Not willing to help, she is rude and inconsiderate. Basically I was a psychology major until this class; she made me cry and change majors. By far an awful person! Class would have been awesome just take it with someone else if you can.
i took this class as an elective and i got a C!! i got three zeros for pop quizzes that i know i didnt miss. I hate one of the TA's. the tests are hard because she can be tricky. read the book since she asks questions that can only be found there and not in her lecture.
This was one of my most enjoyable classes, not necessarily because it was so fun, but because I learned ALOT! She is a really nice professor that really knows her stuff. The material isn't hard, but if you don't want to apply yourself and read the chapters then you won't get an A. I would recommend this class!
She is a sweet lady but her tests are very confusing. It seems she picks the most obscure things out of the book and puts it on the test and the wording can be confusing. The TA's do not seem to know much of what is going on which is no help in a class that size.
Dr. Cox is extremely knowledgeable and I learned a lot from her course. Read the text, attend class and you will do well
This teacher is very intelligent and knows her field in and out. But, she seems stuck on herself instead of helping/teaching her students. Never answers emails or phone calls and tends to ramble about useless information that doesnt even relate to the course. I would not recommend this teacher to anyone interested in this class!
I loved this class and Dr. Cox was amazing. She really knows her stuff and is very interesting. I thought the tests were easy, and the outside homework was basically just completion credit. Her lectures were easy to follow along with and I liked the book we used. I had her for Personality and I would recommend it to anyone.
5 Exams. Extra credit offered towards end. A lot of in-class assignments, and 16 out-of-class assignments (total). Her tests were very specific at times, but the final was for the most part pretty general understanding of the information. No study guides, but the content makes sense. She's very helpful for the most part. Just put in necessary time.
She's great! Helpful and nice!
She is an awesome professor. Just pay attention in class. You should do well!
Anyone with a single bad word about Dr. Cox is full of it. She's the sweetest woman and will help anyone. She may not respond to emails very quickly, but she is more than willing to talk after class or during office hours. Feel free to raise your hand during tests, she's willing to help with anything unclear. Always looked forward to her class.
Dr. Cox is an extremely sweet person outside of class. But as a professor, she has some work to do. Her tests are poorly written and her lectures are a little boring. Her tests are mostly vocabulary and understand the theorists.
Though the theories are fairly interesting, I have to say that Dr. Cox's lectures weren't -- unfortunately, they made me fall asleep. Instead of poring over notes, I think the most surefire way to get a good grade in this class is to read the textbook. But you have to go to class too, since there are in-class assignments.
Dr. Cox has been my favorite professor at OU thus far. She has such a passion for the material she teaches and I quite enjoyed her lectures. I looked forward to attending class every week. Take good notes, actively read the text, and attend class. It is not an "easy" class, but I absolutely loved it. Sweetest woman ever!
This course is one of my absolute favorite courses I've taken, it made me even more passionate about the field. The lectures are great and very interesting. However Dr. Cox does not post them online and gives a lot of in class assignments. The assignments are not hard, but she does not tell you when they will be, so do NOT skip this class!
Dr. Cox gives interesting lectures, but they can often seem to drag on for to long. The tests are not very hard as long as you take good notes. Skimming the text book is all that is really needed from it. She is often unclear in class about when assignments are due, but if you go ask her she is vey nice and helpful.
Amazing lectures! Such a nice teacher too!
She was wonderful. She told funny stories and made sure we understood the material by giving real life examples. She is very understanding and is fair!
Even though attendance is not mandatory, she gives little assignments in class that sometimes bonus. About 60% notes and 40% from text are in the tests. The tests are pretty easy if you read and study. Engaging and clear lectures. Highly reccomend.
Her lectures are very enjoyable, she makes the subject very interesting.
She's a pretty good professor. Attendance is mandatory because she gives in class assignments. She's very willing to help you if you see her outside of class! The exams are easy as long as you study, and I do recommend reading the textbook.
I was a little nervous at first b/c of all the assigned material for the 4-week class. Yes, I had to take a few hours everyday (not fun in the summer especially) to dedicate to this class but it was so worth it. Dr. Cox is insanely sweet, very knowledgable and has the students' best interest. Truly great professor!
Dr. Cox-Fuenzalida is super kind and very knowledgeable. Although her lectures were very interesting to me, the main reason I earned the grade I did was because I read the textbook inside and out. Read the textbook and you're set. The class is not homework heavy; all she made us do were case studies, which I enjoyed. I highly suggest this class!
Attendance is not mandatory but she tells you what assignments to do. Hw is not included in the syllabus so this makes you go to class. She also sometimes gives extra credit as incentive to go to class. Not a hard grader on hw. Tests were difficult but I guess the textbook helped. She rambles a lot but is very nice and cares about her students.
Dr. Cox is awesome. She knows what she is talking about and gets the info across very well. There are in class assignments and out of class assignments worth 10 points each and 4 tests plus the final. You need to read the chapters in the book to get As on the tests and look at you lectures. I would take her again because she is awesome!
I took her online class. Overall she is an easy grader. However, we had 10 quizzes, 16 assignments, 10 discussions and 5 tests in four weeks. If you want a chill summer/winter do not take her online class. Even though she is an easy grader you will have to put some work into her class every single day to get an A.
Great
Dr. Cox is one of the best psychology professors in the department, as well as one of the best professors on campus. Her advanced personality course is wonderful -- a good amount of reading each week, but that's what you sign up for. She is the sweetest woman, and she does a wonderful job of encouraging independent thinking about personality. 10/10
She's a good psych teacher, her class is easy to pass and i definitely recommend her. Class isn't mandatory but she does have random in class assignments sometimes. She's super caring and understanding and very sweet. Her tests can be hard sometimes so definitely read and study for those.
Easiest class I have ever taken. I took the May intersession course and enrolled one week in, so I only had 3 weeks to complete everything. I finished with a 95%. As long as you actually complete the work, you will pass with an easy A.
Not at all how I thought this class would go. She cancelled lectures frequently and was not present for almost all exams. The tests covered material that was missed from the cancelled lectures (hardly fair). When she was there, I learned a lot from her lectures; she teaches very well. I would not recommend taking any class taught by her though.
I took her class May 2017 (intersession+online) and it was great! She's very nice and gives great feedback on hw and written discussions. You MUST read to do good on the tests. Easy hw assignments. The only thing is you have to spend quality time reading and doing hw everyday.. When I had questions she emailed within the same day, she was awesome.
Dr. Cox is a wonderful teacher, she explains things very well in class and although she canceled class (only twice) she went over topics again in class. Yes the exams are a bit hard but if you read the textbook, go through practice problems (she gives) and go to office hours, plus do the TON of extra credit. You will make an A, just work at it!
Intro to Personality. She used a lot of real-life examples in her lectures, which helped make exam-material memorable. She gives random, in-class homework assignments; theyre not hard and usually based on recent material. Lots of extra credit opportunities. Reach out and shell help you.
Dr. Fuenzalida is great! She is sometimes disorganized, but means well. She is nice and always wiling to help as long as you are trying. Read, study, and go to class! Easy A
Dr. Fuenzalida is phenomenal. I don't think I ever sat through a boring lecture with her. She's very knowledgeable and personable as well. She's always telling us stories about the people she sees in public and relates it back to course material. Really awesome course.
Super interesting lectures. Tests are super easy. You may have to read the book and come to class, but you should do that for any class. She gives pop quizzes, but they're easy.
Take her class!! One of the best professors at OU. Dr. Fuenzalida really cares about her students and gives great feedback. I took her online class so I didn't even need the textbook, just used the temporary link she gave us along with google and made an A on every assignment.
I really in enjoyed this class. The test are definitely worded were you need to read from the book. Very inspirational and I would take this class again
BEST BEST professor ever. She is very kind and helpful. She brings her own life experiences into class. Her lectures are never boring and very interesting. Tests are multiple choice and easy. She does extra credit In class a lot so make sure you are there. Homework is super easy, she does case studies that are interesting. TAKE HER CLASS!! Easy A
Sweetest lady! She always gives super interesting lectures, I was never bored in her class. Dr Fuenzalida is a super smart person and I wish I could take more classes with her. Tests are easy if you read your book and take notes!
She is the kindest professor I have ever had. She cares about her students and how they are doing in her class. Take notes and take advantage of the make-up exam!! Take her, you will not regret it.
Dr. Fuenzalida is an amazing psychology professor! She truly cares about her students. Although attendance is not mandatory, I would recommend going to class because she gives extra credit at random times just for showing up! The only downside is that you have to read the textbook in order to pass her tests. Other than that, she's awesome!
Dr. Fuenzalida was excellent and I would completely recommend taking any of her classes. I had her for Personality and it was my favorite class all semester! Lectures are very important, and there's in-class activities relatively often. Tests are not difficult, but do make the main portion of the grading, so read the relevant chapters before.
Dr. Fuenzalida is an inspiration. She cares about her students, gives very good feedback, and a lot of extra credit. As long as you show up to class and listen, you'll pass. The book isn't required and you could probably pass without it because the lectures provide a lot of information. There's random in class assignments so show up!
She was great definitely would take again! If you come to class take notes and listen you will have an A.
Prof. Fuenzalida is a great teacher! She's very engaging and has many great stories that tie into her lectures. She's excellent at explaining things and I learned a lot through her intro class. She tests a lot over the lectures in class, and the exams aren't the easiest, as they pull a lot from the book, but she provides chances for extra credit.
Dr. Fuenzalida is a great professor for intro to personality. Her powerpoints are a bit bare but she makes up for it with her examples, she provides a lot of examples for every piece of a theory making it the material a lot easier to understand and grasp. You can get by with just going to lecture but reading the book helps a lot.
I had Prof. F for Personality Psychology. Her class was super easy and fun. The only downside is you do have to read the book for tests and there are a few pop quizzes in class, but she is amazing and it's an easy A!
Amazing professor! Her lectures are very interesting and engaging!
Dr. Fuenzalida is a true gem! Her lectures are interesting and she's very accommodating and understanding. The assignments are clear but don't forget about them.
If you do the assignments and show that you have general understanding of the coursework then you'll pass. She is so nice, enjoyable, easy grader, and the assignments and exams are very easy. Her lectures have a lot of real life examples and she gives plenty of extra credit. I highly recommend taking this professor, you will not regret it!
She is such a passionate teacher and is so invested in her students. Although this class was online, she did an amazing job of making the class feel very personalized. She offered amazing comments on all my assignments which was extremely helpful. She is a fair lenient grader and tests are very note based! HIGHLY recommend
She is a great professor, this is the second time I took this class. Because it was online it was self learned, but very clear on what to learn! I would highly recommend her, she is alway there for students, lover her job and this class will get you thinking about great things. no textbook! easy grader! one final!
3-4 easy assignments due every week. Short quiz, discussion post, EA, and sometimes a case study. It sounds worse than it actually is. 4 easy tests (mostly definitions) and a final. Watch the lectures videos and skim over reading and youll do good. She dropped our lowest 3 assignment grades.
She is quite possibly the best professor I've had. It was a completely online class, but she still makes everything so personal. She gives her personal cell number out to students so she can get back to them quicker than email, and she always responds within 5 minutes. Also, she always leaves comments on your assignments encouraging you.
I ADORE Prof Fuenzalida! She makes everything very personable and gives lots of examples so you are able to relate to the material instead of just listening to it and trying to retain it. I would take her for every single class if I could! Also, her voice is so easy to listen to and to genuinely pay attention to!
She is RUDE. She is not understanding all of our problems. She told me she would help me withdraw from her class when I calmly came into class to speak with her on something I took full credit for being wrong in. There is no way you can talk to her about something because she is not understanding and she simply does not care.
While the class was interesting, Prof. Fuenzalida is extremely rude. The coursework according to the syllabus didn't line up whatsoever. She hands out zeros for almost anything. She doesn't offer partial credit, its either a 100 or a 0 for assignments. The TAs do all of the grading but you aren't allowed to speak to them about grades.
Great professor and has interesting lectures. Her test is easy as they are basically definitions copied and pasted from lectures. Her final exam consists of using old questions from the past exams. Attendance is not required but I would go because she's wonderful and so nice!
My experience was Dr. Fuenzalida was not great. She was rude to me a number of times for asking simple questions. She didn't show up for the in class case studies, which were run by the TAs, the TAs were fine. For one of our tests she posted it 15 minutes late so we had less time to finish it. Also lots of pointless discussion posts.
Quite literally one of the worst classes I've taken at OU. Don't be fooled like I was. Lecture is terrible and she doesn't even post her lecture notes to help the students out. Too much busy work that doesn't even help with understanding the material. The test is way too hard and requires you to remember every single detail in the book.
Dr. Fuenzalida's exams are worded so confusingly. Her lecture slides are organized really poorly and hard to make sense of sometimes. She spends too much time talking about her personal experiences rather than the actual content and she doesn't help the students prepare much for the exams. Basically, the textbook is your professor in this class.
I am a good student. I always come to class and I complete every assignment given to me. This class is INCREDIBLY difficult to get an A in. The in class assignments are worth 15 points and if you miss it then you don't get to make it up. What is taught in class is not the same as what is asked on the tests. Exams are impossible too.
she is very nice, but this class has been the toughest i've had at ou. lots of in class work and homework that is diff then what we learn in class. exams are impossible bc they ask stuff we dont learn abt in class! and she doesn't answer questions properly so you leave even more confused. AVOID AVOID AVOID. im very smart too and im barely passing.
4-wk online. All the "don't take her she's too hard" comments are CAP. Sweetest teacher ever. Great feedback and responded to all my canvas messages. 4 tests and a final, case studies, discussion posts (like every online class get over it), didn't really use my textbook, quizzes, and an extra credit assignment at the end. 10/10 would take again.
Loved her class so much! There is a lot of work but it keeps your mind thinking about the material. You HAVE to read the textbook!!! Lectures do somewhat help but most questions on the exams are from the textbook. Her lectures will keep your attention. If you do the work and actually study/read the textbook then you will easily pass.
Loved this class! We had a lot of homework due at the end of the week, but it wasn't that hard. Just make sure to time it out when you start. I liked the concepts and topics we learned-- they were pretty interesting. She graded very easy and is an amazing person. Definitely recommend taking her classes!
Lockdown browser is required for every quiz, and if you lose internet, there's a chance you'll get an automatic 0, and she won't let you retake it. Other than that she knows the material and is a pretty good teacher.
The material itself was pretty easy and self explanatory. However, communication with the professor was almost impossible. Very inflexible and disconnected from the class. The textbooks were by far more helpful than the lectures.
