I LOVED HER! I took Turov for CHM 104 lab and probably enjoyed it as much as a possibly could because of her! She was so helpful and she always made sure you knew what you were doing. She's very personable and is definitely the only professor that knew my name. The class it pretty easy because all pre-lab quizzes are online! TAKE HER!

Dr. Turov is so great, I honestly love her. She's a new professor, but has learned quickly on what works. Her tests are difficult, but she is very helpful if you ask. She is so sweet and I would really suggest you take her if you like an easy to talk to professor!

She is so helpful and brings a sense of humor into her lectures that lightens the not-so-nice Chemistry mood. She is always there for you and will not make you feel stupid for asking questions. She uses lecture outlines, which helps a LOT. TAKE HER!

She is such an amazing teacher. She makes everything interesting and is super hilarious. Take her for lab if you can, she is very helpful. You don't get note cards for exams though- which a lot of other chemistry classes do. That is the only bad thing about her class.

Prof. Turov was really helpful in lab. She explained all the labs in a lot of detail before and really wanted to see students succeed. She is really friendly and approachable. I always asked her a lot questions and she always happily helped. She also plays Pandora during lab. She is a stickler for sig figs, but quizzes are easy!

She is a wonderful professor! Very helpful and tries to have a good sense of humor! Usually always has a chance for extra credit on exams. Exams aren't too bad just make sure to study and ask for help when you don't understand something. She is honestly very helpful!

Dr. Turov is wonderful. She is younger and can relate to students easily and makes jokes and tell storiesmakes connections to lectures ideas so that you can follow along. She makes learning fun and is incredibly helpful during office hours. I would highly suggest taking Dr. Turov for CHM103, I don't think you will be disappointed.

Dr. Turov is the ideal teacher. She loves teaching and Chemistry. She is always showing cool chemistry videos or telling chemistry jokes. The class is tough, but she makes it enjoyable. Highly recommend her for lab and lecture.

I had Turov for 104 lab but I wish I could have had her for lecture too. She made every subject we went over extremely easy to understand, even concepts my lecture professor couldn't help me understand. She always made jokes and made lab enjoyable. Always willing to answer questions. Only complaint is shes too picky about sig figs & online quizzes.

Do Take. Dr. Turov is an amazing teach, I had her for all three sections of Chemistry and I believe she excelled in all them. She provides detailed lecture notes and made the lectures entertaining. She overviews the labs well and I never spent more than an hour and a half in lab. Her exams are fair and she allows the final to replace one exam.

Very approachable and helpful. she goes over each experiment and equations you'll need for that day. She's very smart, funny and outgoing. Loves students. I had her help me with lecture material as well that was confusing. She explained it much better than my lecture professor.

100% recommend Dr. T! I was looking for her for any other Chemistry classes for next semester, but she only teaches Chem 103, and since she doesn't do research she has more time for you. Chem lectures are boring as it is, but she always spiced it up with her awesome humor and great stories. Takes time through tough concepts and is a nice person.

Dr. T is the best! Her lectures are not mandatory and she records them, but I would recommend attending them anyways. She always has some cool videos and jokes to share! The class isn't too hard, just review your notes and print off the extra practice problems. This class isn't something to stress over!

Honestly, I struggled at first taking this course but once I went into her office hours, I was successful. Dr. T truly cares about her students and about the material she is teaching, is SO willing to help whenever possible, is always available when you want to rant, and I could not have asked for a better professor at this school. Her notes are very organized and makes it easy to study. Put in the work and go to office hours. She is very helpful one on one and remembers everyone who is in class. Her lectures are kinda fast but posted online. She is a great prof and person, would recommend. She really cares about students and gives you more than enough practice for exams.

She's my absolute favorite professor. I'm awful at chemistry, but I'm still going to end with a C, not her fault. If I had a different professor I probably would've failed. Dr. T is an amazing professor! Chem 103 is a hard class but she made it so much fun and very possible to get an A! She has interesting lectures, gives helpful practice material, her tests are very straight forward and she gives extra credit. She is always willing to meet with you outside of class and truly cares about each and every student!

I absolutely loved her! She is amazing!She provides a note packet for you, which I wish all professors did. She records all her lectures, so if you have to miss, you can still catch it on D2L. Her tests aren't bad if you study, plus she always offers a few extra credit points on each test that anyone can get, very approachable too!

You buy a lecture packet which is the only thing you take notes in all semester. She posts all the lecture recordings online. Her lectures are fun and she does a lot of practice problems. She assigns easy homework and you have quizzes probably every 2-3 weeks. 4 tests and a final throughout the semester. Highly recommend for chemistry 103!

Dr. T was a very easy first year chemistry professor. The note packet you have to purchase for her class was very helpful and kept all of my notes organized. She loves memes and makes a daily chemistry joke. She also has the habit of going on rants about life so that's always fun. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Shes an awesome professor and person! She knew every single person by first name in our lecture. Shes super personable and does a good job trying to keep lectures interesting. She tells a lot of jokes and shows us videos to keep us paying attention. Shes very, very nice and plays music in lab.

Professor Turov is extremely approachable and helpful (go to office hours!). This class is difficult and requires some dedication, but Turov makes the class a lot more interesting by adding humor into every lecture. She also puts a recording of each lecture online which really helps if you need to miss a class.

Dr. Turov is the best teacher I've ever had hands down. She bent over backwards for me when I told her I had anxiety but I would do everything to pass her class. Dr. T is by far the best gen chem professor you can get. Chemistry is hard and sucks but she makes it bearable. She goes through lots of practice problems and will help you with any questions you have. She wants you to be successful and learn. Tests are super long and hard to finish in the class period but other than that she is great.

This Prof really cares about her students succeeding. However, she still makes you work for it. She is almost always available to help if it is needed. Chemistry is Chemistry so it is not necessarily an easy class, but if you work a little it can be. Don't give up if you do poorly on 1 Exam. Overall, I highly recommend her for both Lab and Lecture.

Seriously the best women on this planet. She cares so much about her students and is soooo helpful! I recommend going to class because she is a delight, but if you ever miss she records every single lecture and puts them online. This is a hard class but if you do the practice problems you will do well on the exams.

Dr. T is the best professor at LAX by far. She cares that each of her student succeeds and understands each topic before continuing to the next. Equation sheet with periodic table given for every test/exam, online quizzes, consistent schedule, extra credit opportunities, no group projects, also great sense of humor - prepare for many chem puns!

I took Dr. T for both Chem I and Chem II, and I couldn't have asked for a better teacher. She loves to help her students and gives plenty of practice problem for pre-exam studying. TAKE DR.T!! She is by far the best prof on campus. She genuinely cares about her students wellbeing. The online transition was nearly seamless with her and she opened up her office hours from 8am-11pm. Lecture is 8 hw, 8 group quizzes (when on campus), 5 exams, and a final, plus extra credit. Seems like a lot, but she makes it more then manageable.

Take Dr. T for Chm! She is a very kind professor who cares about her students. During Covid, She made herself available to talk with from 9am-11pm everyday and worked with her students to give them the best chance of succeeding. She uses skeleton notes so you end up with a reference for higher levels of Chm. 100% recommend you take Dr. T.

Instead of textbook notes, you buy a huge packet of all of the notes in "fill in the blank" style. There are also PDFs of the notes in case you take digital notes. Take this professor!! I am horrible at Chem, but she makes this course easy. She cares about everyone and learns everyone's name. She gives lots of homework, but that means a lot of points in the grade book. I literally failed one of her tests and I ended with B, before she dropped that test and replaced it with the final (making my grade an AB).

If you can't get an A with Dr.T in Gen Chem 1 then you probably should re-evaluate your major. This is by far the most clear, concise, organized, and helpful chemistry professor you will ever take. Expectations are clear and every type of exam problem you will have seen previously via discussion problems/hw problems and notes. She is awesome!

I loved Dr. T she was understanding and flexible, it made my semester 100 times easier. She zoomed and recorded all her lectures and discussions so it was ok if you couldn't make it. She also provided all materials so you don't really need the textbook. She provided extra credit for tests and drops your worst score and replaces it with the final.

Easiest chem class you will ever take. She has fill in the blank notes. Her notes are exactly what will be on the exam. You are very well prepared for the exam. A whole packet of problem questions is given to help with each exam. She also gives practice exams to review. TAKE HER!!!! I do not have a single complaint about her.

As for the class, the lectures are easy to focus into (as someone with a bit of adhd), she lets you have a piece of paper on exams, 1 group quiz a week, 3 post-lecture hw worth 2 points. She really prioritizes learning over pure memorization. So far this class has been manageable and kinda made me love chem
