Kang is a very easy going person, he jokes around a little during class. His lecture notes that he posts on webtc. He tests and class are pretty challenging out of a 100+people only 8 are getting an A

He is a very nice guy who is approachable but his tests are very challenging so be prepared to study. Someone from a previous semster recommended Kang to me but apparently at that time he didn't give quizes every week like he did with his fall 2003 classe

Very hard class, but he makes it kind of interesting. He makes jokes and they are funny. You will definitley need to study though.

He is one of my favorite prof. Very helpful, understanding and willing to help. He is very easygoing but you have to try yourself and study though. Well, nothing comes from no effort.

Teacher is clear and precise, extremely helpful. Online quizzes can be intimidating, but just do them after the reading, and you should be fine. Teacher tries to relate the lessons to the students, which are helpful.

Go to class and take notes and the class is easy. He is actually pretty funny, too.

He is a very good teacher, he is also very helpful. he make the class interesting by telling jokes even though some of them are very bad. Going to class is a must. The online quizes are nice to have but they are difficult. At first his accent is kinda bad but it gets better once you get used to it.

very hard tests...doesn't curve...very clear...dont take an ECON night class...they suck becasue the material is only covered once...can any one say self taught learning?

He was a very good teacher. If you dont understand something he'll go over it for you again. You have to go to class and pay attention but if you do that you should be fine. He is really funny and keeps things interesting. Once you get over the accent he's easy to listen to.

The Teacher was extreamly knowledgeable and knew what he was talking about. He was really fun and helpful. His tests and quizzes were sort of hard but if you pay attentin and read the book you'll do fine!

Helpful...took during summer and had no problem with it...got through the class easy. Only thing is that lectures can get boring

Easy tests, lecture so easy a jr high kid shouldn't have a problem. That said, you need to read the textbook to do well on the tests since he doesn't cover everything in class, but reading through it once was more than enough for me. Got long as a night class, but at least it's one night a week.

Is a class taught by yourself. Need to read textbook in order to pass class. Three quizes per chapter readings. Classtime is 58% useless, nothing in class will help on d2l quizzes.

awesome dude! he's the coolest guy. loves what he does and clearly presents material. class takes moderate effort. i got a B but that;s because I didn't buy the book. i had no money. test will cause a minimal mental sweat but no biggie. good stories and examples about his life relating to the material. SWEET!

He was a great teacher. A lot of his exams were somewhat difficult but he made up for them by giving us regular group quizzes. He's very funny and entertaining, and explains the material in a very comprehensive way. He will also help you with any test question if you just have the nerve to ask. I would definetly reccomend him!!!

He is really a cool prof. He teaches the materials well-enough to be understood. Though exams are quiet hard, but worth it. You'll learn a hell lot of stuffs.. Better go for it dude.. But for your reminder only 5 out of 80 students got an A. But if you work hard you'll be one.I swear!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Exams are hard! Go to class because he gives some helpful extra credit points. Alot of online quizzes. Surprised at the grade I got at the end though, must have curved!

Kang is an awesome professor! He makes the material interesting, and in our class each weekly test was take home, or done in class in groups! The tests were a bit hard, but not a big problem, he is always there to answer any questions. And if you did badly on a test he is always willing to sit down and help with any questions. Highly Recommend!!!!!

He was a great Prof. Helpful and Nice. He makes the material as exciting as it can be. There were alot of group and take home quizzes. I recommend this class. Read the book and you should do fine on the test.

This class was fairly easy, and what other ppl said is all true. The final was damn hard tho. not out of the notes more out of the book. Do the online quizzes for all especially the first two exams, and you'll get a C by just memorizing those answers. Hard tests but kang is a good guy that knows how to explain concepts. Attend class! might get an A

Dr. Kang is the best Education Professional that I have met so far. He was very helpful and competent. I hope to take some more courses from him in the future.

Great guy! If your struggling, ask for help and he'll give it to you. GO TO CLASS because he has a quiz about once a week which can be fairly easy because he usually lets u work in a group on it and u can take the online quizzes twice if u want to. The class is overall hard, but he's a good guy!

Awesome Professor! Just took him for second summer session and it was a good A. The test are hard, but your grade all all depend on your ability to understand economics. He gives you all the resources for success, but if you can't do it than that sucks for you.

He is very thoughtful in his approach. As students, it is our duty to prepare for class and not wait for him to chew every word into our heads.Hard work pays and i will take his next upper level class if he has one. He knows his stuff.If anyone is prepared to work a little extra, don't take ECons at all.

SCSU is lucky to have a professor like this. He is exeptionally good at what he does. His class was very clear and you knew exactly what is expected of you. Daily tests were done in groups, online tests had no time limit and a retake for each. Also he is instantly likeable and funny. I hate this subject but aced this class without much effort.

He's a very funny teacher, if you learn well with a professor with a sense of humor, this is the guy to take. Always has those little 1 liners that make you laugh. Very good way of presenting information in lecture. His accent distracts me, but I have ADHD so that's my fault. SCSU is lucky to have a professor like him.

Kang is hilarious. Makes econ interesting and the class is pretty easy overall. He has in class quizzes which are very easy, if you show up you can ace them. He also lets you make them up at home if you miss them. I did bad on all the tests and still passed

He's a good teacher. Night class consists of online quizes due before each test(Unlimited time for these). Many of the test questions are right from the quizzes. 'Pop' quizes that you can use your book on and work in a group. No cumulative final. I stayed for probably 40% of class time, got a B. I wish he was teaching 206 too :)

Great prof, he kept our class enjoyable even for a night class. Out early every class. No attendance but quizzes (generally take home or online). Nothing overbearing and he uses beer as every analogy, pretty funny.

I took this aas a summer class so it was fast with alot of information to take in. Use your book to do well on the online quizzes, and study the online quiz questions because 50-60 percent of the tests are similar questions to the quizzes. Study hard, pay attention.

Very very hard class. I spent about 5-6 hours a week on the assignments but Kang is the best professor ever. The assignments are hard but he will always help you if you need it, I recommend teaming up with someone for the assignments too, it makes it a lot easier. I would take Kang again in a heartbeat, just hopefully not that class again.

Difficult class however funny and helful professor. His accent is sometimes hard to understand. But I enjoy his refferences to beer to learn the material.

I really like him. This is a tough class, goes right from the book. Need to know your stuff for exams. Gives extra credit opportunities, grades fair. Good lectures. Overall good teacher.

Dr Kang's macroeconomics class was great! He taught the subject in a simplistic manner that was easy to understand. The quiz questions (both online and in-class w/ book+notes) are extremely similar to test questions. If you know those, you'll do great! I'd recommend his course to anyone.

Great Professor! I took this class as a PSEO student and received an A. I did not take notes, just studied from the book and the online quizzes. One of my favorite classes by far! I did not have any problems understanding him at all. Highly recommended.

Attend live online lectures once a week for "pop quiz" (easy attendance pts). Online quiz on each chapter (more easy points). Tests-some questions are straight from the online quizzes, READ THE TEXTBOOK (if you dont, tests will be difficult). Plenty of extra credit opportunities. He has a great sense of humor. Kang's class is hard. You WILL have to work hard if you want an A or B. I hate economics but surprisingly got an A, one out of only 4 in the class. Test questions are often the same as quiz questions, but the last test is extremely hard! Make sure to do the extra credit. Easy 20 points.

Great and interesting Class. Read textbook before class starts to understand material. Professor explains material so well, and please take notes. Take quizzes on time, review the quizzes and if you have questions, please ask. Understanding of materials and quizzes will help on exams. Don't get lazy with this class. If you work hard, it's easy "A"

I found this course to be challenging, but worth-while. Each week there is two chapters to read through and a quiz. This course does not have a final, but instead has three exams throughout the semester. If you put in the energy to carefully read through the chapters, watch the videos, and communicate with the teacher, it's easy to be successful.

Listen and participate in an online lecture once a week. He gives easy pop quizzes in the end. Do the online quizzes and participate in voluntary D2l discussion. Also read the book!! Take him there are many extra credit opportunities to raise your grade! If you give zero effort that's when you will fail.

This is the toughest online class I have taken. Weekly quizzes must be completed every Wednesday. The questions are worded in a tricky way and answers are hard to find! There are 3 proctored exams -no cumulative final. Video recording of the chapters are on D2L which is nice. To be successful on exams, read the chapters and study the quiz questions

Not the easiest of topics but an A is not out of reach. Read the book for online quizzes and be ready to take pop quiz in class on most recent lecture material. If you study from the online quizzes and make sure you understand the graphs and material he goes over in class the 3 tests shouldn't be a problem. Also, he gives some extra cred opportunit

Go to class, take your quizzes and you probably will be just fine. If you don't have previous econ or finance class buy the text book and read before class. Accent is thick but pay close attention as much as you can, you will need it for exams. Lots of extra credit.

Took an online class with him, it was just chapter readings/quizzes, and then some proctored tests. No cumulative final. Economics is not super easy, so be prepared to have to think!

Although I don't remember much from it, I liked this class. Yes, the content is difficult, but he makes sure that you can at least understand it. He gives pop quizzes, but you can review with people around you, and even then, if you don't understand, he'll take time to help you. 20 E.C. points are offered, and the assignments are really easy.

Prof. Kang was one of my favorite professors. He explained everything very well, and would go over things you didn't understand. He doesn't go over everything in class, so you do need to read. He had pop quizzes, but you were allowed to work with other people on them. He was funny and overall, a really good professor. I enjoyed his class.
