This woman has an axe to grind. She can't stay on topic, and it was clear when I worked for her that her favorites always got much better grades. If you believe that the US did anything other than pass Jim Crow laws or buid cities, she's not for you (think WWI, WWII, Depression, Civil Rights, Progressivism, you won't get that here).

Take it seriously!! Exams are LONG essays. MUST attend class and MUST take notes! Even if you think what she's saying isn't important, write it anyway! When exams come around, you won't regret it. Writetype as much of what she says as you can. I used notes from this class to write a paper for my gov class; that is how thorough you need to be.

Very interesting history class, but you need to show up everyday. only 3 test you need to take and 1 is optional. got a B+ on the first exam when to talk to her about my grade she brought it up to a A+ once I showed my notes and explained my reasoning. You don't need to study to pass. I would recommend.

Dr. Pollack is amazing. You won't agree with everything she says, but by the time you're done taking her class, you'll have activism on the brain. Read the books. They won't factor into everything she talks about, but you'll need them for the 1 test in the class. Same with notes, take lots. You'll also have a book report on a book of your choice.
