Easy class. There's quite a bit of homework, but it's math. She's been sick for almost half of the semester. It's terrible. I hope it's only this semester. As a teacher, she is adequate. Always assigns odd problems, and you don't need to bring your book to class. She's chill and funny sometimes. Great math teacher.
She is a good teacher. Whenever she is there (which wasn't often this semester), almost everything is easy to understand. Class was cancelled at least 3 times a month, but if you're good at getting stuff on your own, this is a good class for you. Ms. Lee is funny, and knows many shortcuts to make math easy.
i loved her! she was the best math teacher ive ever had. she was funny and organized with her notes.when she wasnt in class i wouldnt get anything but when she came back to class everything made sense again
She showed up maybe 15 days the whole year? Every other day there was a sub or class cancelled. She just rewrote the example problems in the book on the board. Attendance is not mandatory, so if you miss a day just look at the book and that is all you did. Tests pretty hard, gives some partial credit. Nice lady though.
She was hardly ever there. Many subs and many days where class got canceled. Her tests are really, really hard. If you take her all I can say is good luck!
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!!! Class was cancelled several times within the first few weeks of school. She only teaches the examples from the textbook, and then puts extremely hard problems on the test. She has a funny personality, just not a good teacher. Check out her other ratings under Eunju Lee Owens. Totally had to drop this class :(
I loved Professor Lee! She is the most helpful math teacher I have ever had. She was absent about 3 times per month. But if you go see her in the Math Lab she will sit with you until you understand. Class is not easy but if you put in the effort and ask questions, she appreciates it. GREAT sense of humor, and an overall awesome lady!
She has broken english and calls all her students babies. And sometimes she makes things difficult than they really are.
Don't listen to the bad comments, she's an awesome professor and if you're thinking of taking her class I highly recommend that you do. She gives homework but it's not hard and it helps a lot towards your grade. She'll help you if you need it and she's very nice and funny. I'm horrible at math and she made it seem easy. Often lets us out early.
shes cool but i dont undertsand how shes a teacher. she rushes thru 2 sections within 30 min. like shes in some type of rush to go somewhere and expects you to understand it. the examples she gives you are way easier than the ones on the hwrk and tests. so when you do the hwrk and test your lost! i dont recommend her at all
DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS!!! She misses several classes, yet drops you for having 3 absences. When she does show up to class she is in a terrible mood, and whines about how sick she is. She has a terrible attitude and she likes to belittle her students. She should move out of the country immediately.
she has nice personality, but i do not recommend this class because she made me feel taking math 150 in math 40 class. her exam is extremely hard, and she would compare students to her private tutor student who she will explain as -- 9th grade, taking calculus and ready for harvard university. what a nonsense. lastly, TON OF HOMEWORK.
honestly she needs to be a comedian not a teacher. Shes really funny during class until you see your grades!!! not even half the class passes ever!! Take someone else, anyone else just save yourself the time.
Funny teacher, but don't expect this class to be a breeze. She crams two or more sections into each class, goes extremely fast, and expects you to understand what the heck she just explained. She tells you do your homework as soon as you can so that you can ask questions if you didn't understand, but will take only six questions at the most.
I LOVE HER! I am so terrible at math and i am passing with an A in that class which is amazing. I think it might be so easy because my class is mon-thurs which makes life way easier. Shes been absent a couple times but she makes sure we catch up to where we're supposed to be. Great Teacher! I'd never understand math with out her.
She is a great teacher. She makes hard topics easy to understand. I never understood math very well until now. If you study her notes, you should do great.
She's not that great, especially not at geometry. Her english isn't very well and if you dont do your homework she doesnt give partial credit. You can lose like 12 points on an exam for stupid mistakes. If you deserved an A for the class, you will get a B. The exams are quite difficult and geometry is DEFINITELY NOT her subject!
Professor Lee is so funny! She has a great sense of humor which helps during long class hours. Sure the class isn't easy, but that's math for you. I think she made it as entertaining as possible and was always available during office hours when I had questions. I only wish she taught higher levels of math because I'd take her again in a heartbeat!
Take anyone BUT Lee... She believes since she is a math genius, everyone should be, Will tell you on day one, you probably won't pass her class, won't give partial credit when you get 3 out of 4 part of a problem correct, OVERLOADS you with Ridiculous volumes of hmwk, asks "is that ok?" after every problem, treats you like a 1st grader.
Wow!! Do not take her class!! right now i believe she is pregnant and yikes!! Horrible attitude...She talks to everyone as if they were kids..Just foul!! I even went to my counselor and complaint about how her teachings are oh and she will tell you your not going to pass if you get a B on your first test.
By far the worst teacher ever!! She will make you believe your not going to pass!!!
AWESOME TEACHER! she explains everything clearly. She stops after every section and asks if we all get it. and if we don't she stops the whole class and takes the time to explain it over again. Extremely funny teacher, makes math fun.
She takes the time to explain each section. I'd say for a math teacher she gives the right amount of homework. She'll tell you right off the bat after the first two tests whether or not you should stay in class or just drop, which some might find helpful if they dont want an F on their record. She talks too much of how smart she is, that was annoy
Ms. Lee's class is very easy, if you go to all the class meeting. She will explain as much as she can for you to get it. I passed her class and she's caring. She wants you to succeed.
At first, she seems nice and easy. then , after three weeks, she then shows her other side. she is very rude and always talking about her self and how smart she is. she goes off the topic all the time and talk about herself and other boring stuff. but she teches to the best that she can most times. and get ready for lots lots lots of homework.
Ms Lee is the best math teacher! She goes out of her way to help you,She truly cares about her students. Her friend died and her baby was extremely sick and she still made it a point to make sure we passed. Will stop the whole class if someone doesnt understand.Speeks well english and explains everything for your understanding
She is a nice person but you can barely understand what she is saying. She gives excessive homework that is nothing like what she explained in class.
Try to take another professor if possible. Lee isn't BAD, but majority of the time talks too much and class ends up being behind in lecture/notes. Shes super nice. Buy book, you need to do homework. Some items in the homework aren't even taught..Took her for summer and majority of the class was suffering. Pay attention and ask questions.
She's a really great teacher. Always energetic even if she's extremely tired. She makes sure that her students understand the material. Always ask questions if you don't understand something cuz she will answer them and try to explain it til you get it. tests are a bit hard, but they are reasonable. Do the hmwk cuz they will help with your grade!
She is a great teacher. Explains until you understand. Must do homework always willing to help. I loved taking math 20 with her.
This was my second time taking Mrs. Lee, this semester she was absent a lot, but she always got us a sub. She explains everything until EVERYONE understands. Assigns a lot of homework, but its only because she cares and wants you to do the problems until you understand. Very funny and helpful!!
Mrs. Lee is the worst teacher to take. She makes her tests so hard like she wants her students to fail. DO NOT TAKE MRS. LEE. just horrible. u cant even understand her half the time.
She is a terrible teacher. She knows how to do everything, however she can't teach it. Lee expects her students to understand everything at HER pace. The professor also generates the tests nothing like the homework or notes. And there are no study guides, or review sessions for the test, just last minute cramming that you have to try and rememeber.
This Class is hard in general, you need to be prepared to do homework and be ready to do the hardest problems when coming to the tests, Ms Lee does teach well but she is sometimes hard to understand but she will answer your questions then be attentive of you to make sure you understand yes she does assign alot of homework but this is college math
Very kind teacher, interested in her students & really wants them to succeed. Her pace is exceptionally quick & I struggled immensely trying to keep up with all the things she threw at us at once. Speaks with a math-mind & heavy accent. Unless you have a strong math background proceed cautiously. Heavy HW. 6 tests make up whole grade, no make ups.
Don't listen to the other bad comments about this professor!! She made me love love love math and I hated math!! She was very helpful and using her office hours are extremely helpful. She is adorable and super funny and she truly wants all her students to succeed if they really are trying! Lots of HW but it helps alot! Trust me take her class!!!!!
Mrs. Lee was an amazing teacher. She is incredibly helpful and explains the lessons well. Keep in mind that this is a College Algebra course and it is very fast paced. Though fast paced, she actually takes more time than any other math professor I've had. This is an easy class if you're willing to do the work. After the first test, it gets easy.
I would recommend taking her class. She knows how to explain a problem very well and thoroughly. Studying outside of class is a must because you can easily forget details in this fast paced class. I also found her entertaining enough to keep me focused unlike some other math classes.
Her explanation is very clear and easy to understand, but she doesn't take a lot of time explaining, so everything goes very fast. There is almost no extra credit.
I had to say that her lectures were really amazing. It helped me not only understand but able to finish most homeworks without using Calcchat or helps from the MLC ( which I don't like it because tutors there just go and look at the solution manual and then tell you exactly the same, I'd rather do it by myself if I understand the manual ).
She is a great teacher. Her tests are made up of problems directly from her notes or the hw problems. She does go over some stuff pretty quickly, but it's not too hard to catch up. You need to study for this class, even if you've taken it before!! She truly cares about her students and really wants them to succeed. What's great was there was an SI.
Cannot be lazy in her class, great teacher though.
She assigns hw which are due the day of the test. Her tests are super hard. She says to study from her handouts & hw, but no. they are tricky and hard. She does offer EC if you go to SI. But she's a tough grader & marks off every tiny point for a simplest thing. She expects you to fully remember Trig/Alg.
She expects you to remember everything about Trig & College Alegbra. The hw is due the day of the tests, so if you procrastinate on hw like I did then it'll be tough. Her tests are "based off hw & notes" but NO they are so hard. Sometimes she covers stuff very quickly & brushes it off like we can teach ourselves. Bad accent, wouldn't take her again
Do your homework ahead of time, I cannot stress this enough. Professor Lee provides simple examples during lecture, but her tests won't reflect those types of problems. I recommend finding the difficult problems in the assigned hw and making sure you have those down. Seriously, do the homework.
The material can be understandable to challenging, but her tests are downright hard. Make sure you do your homework EVERY NIGHT or at least every weekend! You can easily slip into procrastination and cram all the homework the night before the test. I went to SI and used all of her study guides but it seemed like the final covered none of it.
She is funny and you can tell she is really smart. Since she is smart she just expect people to understand the concept right away, so you will get lost often. She gives tons of hw, so if you pass this class, other math class almost seems easy. But if you do all your hw, you will get a. Go to her office, she does help alot
Ms. Lee gives great lessons . It is easy to follow and she explains it in the easiest way possible for everyone. She cares about all her students and wants all them to pass. Homework is important and worth a good amount of points. She is a great teacher and I recommend her 100%
Explains problems thoroughly. Will make you understand. Very charismatic with her teaching. Not boring at all. Make sure to do the hw every night! You will not regret taking her class. I promise you. I did not like math before but with her, she made math the best. Life changing.
Your search for a math professor has ended here. Ms. Lee is easily the coolest teacher in life! Super funny. Her lectures are informative and pure comedy. Do ALL of the homework and study. It's that simple. She's not going to hand you an A, but she doesn't want to fail you. You'll thank me later but she's the best. Ms. Lee for President 2026!
I owe her a review. A lot of students are too unfair. I seen ones that want to keep talking in class, ones that don't do homework, ones that don't want to do DLAs or extra credit, yet all of them expect her to give them an A. take this from someone who is getting an A, look no further than professor lee; she got the keys for your math expertise.
Do not miss any lectures or tests because there are no test make-ups. Other than that just got to class, participate and ask questions if you don't understand the material. She is pretty accessible after class so you can get more personal help if you need it. All my other math classes are extremely easy because of her thorough teaching.
If you are as bad at math as I am (doubt it) TAKE THIS CLASS It is not an easy A, but when the class is over you will feel more than ready to tackle the next class. Ms. Lee clearly explains the content and will extrapolate as much as she needs to to make sure you understand. Do all the homework and you'll be just fine! Thank you, Ms. Lee!
She's really funny and makes class enjoyable. Easy to understand lectures. However, her tests are way harder than the homework and she grades really hard. She does give extra credit if needed.
Professor Lee is the best! I used to hate math but Ms. Lee teaches in a way that makes it more entertaining. I didn't purchase a book but thats a good thing because it forced me to go to the library everyday after class to do my homework and get it out of the way. Her tests are easy and its all based on the notes you take in class.
Love her!! Her teaching method is A1!! She's very thorough and very caring and explains why she must teach us this way and the easiest way for us to learn and understand the material that will help us in future math classes. She also assigns homework for every lesson but honestly so thankful she does because it really helps me ace the exams!
Her teaching style is very hard to follow if you do not understand math that well. She expects you to understand everything before she teaches it. Attendance is MANDATORY and will not even let you miss 1 day without cutting some slack. Emergencies happen. As a person she is very nice and always cheerful.
Avoid her class by any means. She doesnt go by the syllabus, she doesnt use my math lab yet gives you 100 problems per section. Shes very rude and belittling. Theres a big difference between being good at math and being a good math teacher. She is the worst professor Ive ever had. Not to mention all she doesnt is talk about how shes a genuis
Doesnt give the actual exam has someone else grade them yet tells you what you can and cant have on the exam but doesnt check it, talks about how hard and smart she is but doesnt take the time to work with students to help them understand the topic instead she says if you dont understand then you shouldnt be here not a good professor
It's the second time that I'm taking her class and she is amazing teacher!!! If you are a lazy person do not sign up for her class, you won't pass!! But if you want to learn, this class is for you, she is a great teacher! No extra credit in this class, you get what you work for.
I'm giving Professor Lee for Math 41. Professor Lee is an amazing teacher. During her lectures, she will tell the class which problems to pay close attention to because those are the ones that are going to be on the exam that occurs every two weeks or so. She offers help to anyone who needs extra help and she does give extra credit opportunities.
Be ready to waste a lot of ink and paper. a lot of homework, like seriously a lot. she goes over things really fast, you might want to ask her to go over it again. not mean, often late but of course you can't be late.
Extremely fast paced and lots and lots of homework. Easy to fall behind.
Best Professor ever. Highly recommend taking her. yeah its a lot of homework but its worth it, it helps u a lot when it comes to the exams. She provides some extra credit. she makes the class fun and she make you want to learn the material.
Really cool professor & Really teaches well
Great Professor to take. Breaks everything down so its easy to understand. Really cares that all students get what she is teaching.
Shes a great teacher and teaches well. She goes over the question with detail and very kind.
She is the most kindest and funniest professor.
Makes sure you learn and assigns homework, but is helpful and understanding. Will offer extra credit wagers in exchange for burritos.
Ms lee goes out of her way to motivate her students. Attensing class is important in order to pass. She allows extra credit oppurtunities if your grade needs help, and her stories make understanding the work easier.
Ms. Lee is one of the best math instructors I have had. She is very thorough with her explanations on the lessons and trys her best to make sure everyone understands before moving forward. The workload is a lot but understandable for the course. Overall, I would definitely recommend her as a professor.
During remote learning, Professor Lee worked hard to publish prerecorded lectures for her students to work through at (more or less) their own pace, and in these lectures she was incredibly thorough in her demonstrations and explanations. The class was difficult, but her study guides and lectures help a lot for her exams. Overall great professor.
Professor Lees rating are very off to me. The difficulty of her class comes from the material itself which is calculus. She is an AMAZING professor who truly does care about her students and she wants them to pass. I had her this fall during the remote learning and she put in so much effort to the video lectures. You can go to office hours as well
Professor Lee is an amazing professor. I was honestly scared to take Calculus online but she structured the class so well that it was not bad at all. There's a lot of lecture notes and homework assignments to complete on WebAssign but they all prepare you for the exams and final. I definitely recommend Professor Lee for Calculus I.
If you understand how to solve all of the questions in your homeworks, you will be fine with the exams because they are similar. She does fix your mistakes in the exams so that you can review and won't make it again. She teaches with care and passion. Thing that you should remember taking this class: Work hard paid off.
Professor Lee has her best interests at heart and encourages her students. The homework and quizzes on webassign are worth hardly anything but add up towards the end so make sure you do it. She grades the tests pretty easy in my opinion, what you have to worry about is the final. That's what made my grade drop from an A to a B.
Honestly, I do respect Professor Lee but she wasn't helpful this semester imo. Whenever I went to office hours I felt like I was being talked down and she refused to answer questions at times. If you rely on lecture classes and struggle with learning things on your own I would not recommend. I spent hours studying and still did not do well at all.
Awesome teacher and super kind. Very strict about the schedule, there is no slowing down so make sure to keep up. VERY TEST HEAVY, especially the final. The Final is MC (kinda easy tbh) while the Chapter Exams are graded based on work shown in each question, so don't lose hope. She is a really good choice however very fast paced (similar to AP). )
She does want you to do well & encourages you to study a lot. However, if you already struggle a lot with math, do not take her because it will be hard. She does give out study guides for exams, but I honestly did not find it similar to the tests. Tests are extremely challenging & you need to go beyond just the study guides if you want to do well.
Professor Lee's online videos explain the materials in detail every step of the way. I could always refer back to the videos if I needed help or when I was studying for the exams. As long as you pace yourself and not procrastinate, you can definitely pass. The review homework helps with studying for the exam as well, so make you actually do them.
The workload is ridiculous. 1-2 lecture videos, 1-2 hw assignments, & 1 quiz EVERY DAY, all due by midnight. I spent every day doing work. Shes not very understanding and has a you know what you signed up for attitude. No flexibility. Gives study guides but they are different than the exams. You kinda teach yourself.
she's the hardest math Prof I ever take, take some one else for your own good. she would compare her student life to yours and expect you to teach your self and complete the work. Literally the lecture note is not similar to the HW, you need to spend hours going beyond. Worst math Prof I ever take.
Nah, I'm sorry but take another class instead. Not recommended at all. The lecture videos from YT are not even close to the HW on webassign. HW and Quiz everyday. Chapter test every week. I got really depressed taking this class. Literally a continuous meltdown. Worst professor.
It was horrible. There are videos you can go back to but they barely help when it comes to exams. Her exams are 10 questions but suuper hard. SI meetings are basically required since she just goes over baby versions of the problems. There were no zoom meetings just videos to watch and the SI. Web hw is mandatory but goes offtopic and doesn't help.
The workload and difficulty is average, but my problem lies with the fact that this was supposed to be a hybrid course for zoom/online.. nope. The class is completely online and she only posts video lectures from previous years on canvas, essentially making you teach yourself. She's simply lazy. Her accent is also very hard to understand at times.
She gave me the worst period of time in my life ngl. DO NOT take her unless you are VERY familiar with Calculus. Basically a self-taught class. Homework is 20+ pages and she only randomly picks 4-5 questions to grade. Her homework are totally different from her lecture videos. Needs to pay $100 in order to do her hw on another website. RUN!
SHE is against the idea of mental health she is insulting she told me I wouldn't pass her class and I have to prioritize her class over my health. she also is the rudest person and will do everything to make things easier for her. her class grade avg is 110% with exams being worth 67% of your grade. This is only a class for people who know calc
Professor is here to do the minimal amount of work to get paid. Her lectures are low-quality, poorly formatted youtube videos that don't teach you anything. The homework problems are extremely difficult and sometimes have no correlation to the lecture problems. She doesn't prepare you for the tests and gives even harder problems than the hw. AVOID.
She just gives out old lecture videos. Doesn't do the teaching at all. She gives most of the teaching job to the SI. Exams are worth almost 80-90% of your grade. So much homework but she barely grades them. Refused to give out answer keys so you would never know whether you got them right or wrong. Terrible teacher. Pls take this as a sign and run!
this was my first year and by far the worst teacher ive had. i suggest never taking a course from her again. she is extremely lazy and very unhelpful. her hw is overload along with a mandatory tutoring. her exams are worth so much making the hw she assigns everyday (including weekends) useless. please i suggest you choose someone else.
SHE SUCKS SHE SUCKS SHE SUCKS DO NOT TAKE HER I DROPPED OUT shes only here for a paycheck everything she has is ripped off another professor she is emotionally abusive in her teaching, you have to do things her way or she will fail you if you fail more than 2 exams to keep her class avg "nice" she will drop u. shes completely unfair her avg is mess
If you aren't a study heavy person then don't take this class. I promise you your life will be so much easier knowing that this person isn't in it. The amount of work she gives is ridiculous and I went to sleep crying almost every night. Don't take her.
Even though it's listed as hybrid, EVERYTHING is online except for exams, conveniently. She only posts youtube videos from previous years and occasionally she posts lectures from prof Morvan, where she doesn't even teach at all. Her lectures honestly suck and she's terrible at explaining things. Very lazy professor and only cares about her paycheck
I don't think I've had a worse professor then Eunju Lee, her demeanor towards her students is terrible & she likes to think of herself as a good professor but is extremely lazy, she uses other professors videos of each module we learn each week and expects us to know everything & also makes us print all of our notes & upload them waste of paper!
She doesn't actually teach you and only posts youtube video lectures from previous years. Some of them are just straight up copies from other professors. Lazy. The lectures are trash and don't explain the material well. There is so much hw EVERY night, hardly any of it gets graded and she assigns many questions that weren't covered in the notes.
Honestly this class was not difficult for me. I managed to pass with a B+ by just doing the notes/hw without studying much at all. She is an ok prof but shouldn't be your top pick. There is no real-time teaching, the hw is overload with irrelevant problems, and she makes you pay $100 just to do the hw which is worth hardly any of your grade.
First of all, I did great in this class, but that was because I put hundreds of hours outside of the class in order to fully understand the concepts being "taught" to us. Old videos were recycled and sometimes she used videos from another professor. If you do not plan to study a lot outside of class, then I advise you to please take someone else.
Don't listen to those complaints! Professor Lee made amazing lecture videos. She explains extremely in details. She is always there on her office hours for extra help and you can tell how much she cares about her students. If you watch her lecture videos and do the homework , quizzes, and exam reviews on time, it is hard to not to get an A+.
I loved the fact that I could watch the video over again before the test, pause to take notes, make it faster when I am watching it again. Professor Lee has office hours that helped me a lot, SI sessions which also prepared me to do well on the test and you get extra credits whenever you attend it. I definitely recommend to take her.
Hybrid class's lectures are all online, with meetups only for tests. Her lectures are clear and comprehensive. I liked this learning style as I could choose the pace and replay parts as needed. She was also accessible outside of class if I needed help. If you need a teacher to walk through every step in a live environment don't take this class.
Attendance was only required for test day. She's picky when grading your test work. DEFINITELY GO TO SI SESSIONS if you can; Christian gave lots of help and tips for test days. Workload was okay. Overall, the difficulty wasn't bad and AP Calc AB definitely helped.
Lee expects you do to a LOT of hw, lecture notes, DLA, & quizzes 24/7 for little credit. You teach yourself. Math is my worst & most hated subject & wanted to pass with bare minimum but after seeing her syllabus I don't think I'll be able to even pass. This is not the prof for those who struggle in math.
just don't waste your time honestly
Be prepared to do work every other day, if not every day. In addition to 5 tests and a Final, there are also quizzes due per week online which aren't too hard since they're modeled after the online homework. There are also videos made by the Prof. Tests are modeled after study guides given before each test. Tests are proctored online via Zoom.
Professor does the bare minimum in explaining the math and doesn't even create her own notes, sometimes not even using her own lecture. The vague notes do not explain how to do all of the homework and the homework is on a $120+/semester subscription. You will spend at least 20% of your week on this class. Find a professor who actually teaches you
Do the work and you will pass. Professor Lee really wants you to do good and you just have to focus when it time to study for tests
Prof. Lee is amazing! She truly cares about her students & wants them to succeed. There's a lot of HW you need to do for math classes in general so try to get ahead as much as possible. She understands life gets in the way & sometimes you may not be able to finish on time so she's very lenient as long as you communicate with her. Highly recommend!
When I signed up for this class, some of the reviews scared me. Math in general requires a lot of time and practice and that's not Professor Lee's fault. She is available and will work with you. I reached out after my first test which I didn't do well on and she was more than happy to tell me what I could do different. Take it, be ready to work.
Homework, quizzes, and exam reviews are overwhelming, so get ready to print dozens of pages for each chapter. A few problems on the exam review are on each exam, so study it extensively. If you are given the choice to include online hw and quizzes toward your final grade like we did, don't, because you will be overwhelmed.
PLEASE AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS. this professor is the worst. she uses old lectures from early 2000's that arent even hers. she is very disrespectful when you ask for help and she will call you out as "dumb" or "irresponsible" if you still dont understand the concept even after speaking with her. make sure you got $$ for paper and ink bc u print a lot
Super easy if you know your job. Watch the online lecture and do the study guide. HW is not mandatory. Only get to go to class on test day.
Its hybrid class and you just need to go to class when its test day. The test is not hard all of the questions are similar to the notes or review packet. If you take notes i will guarantee you will get at least b or higher. Its math so its a hard subject but the lectures are videos and you can always go back and review.
The class is difficult but she is very nice and wants her students to succeed. The subject itself is difficult but she makes helpful videos that are very detailed and even provide exam review questions. She also is a fast responder when you have questions and tries to help students to her best ability.
She's good in that she's very nice and genuinely wants you to succeed, but be prepared to teach yourself pretty much everything. She uses entirely online lecture and homework and that can be monotonous and frustrating. But if you apply yourself and keep a disciplined schedule you will pass.
Be prepared to work for your grade. Loads of homework each week. Her lectures are pretty good and cover what's going to be on the exam but the exam review's are the definite way to prepare for the exam. If you want to get a high grade I recommend going to the optional SI lessons. They're very helpful and Christian is the GOAT
The material is easy to learn only if she gave us more time to practice. There are new lessons every 1-2 days, the last one being a few days just before the exam. She's great to ask for help but don't take this class because you're going to have to self-learn.
Do not take her. My class had a petition against her because her class was so difficult, homework questions that didn't fit the scope of the class. She's not great at acknowledging her mistakes, and doesn't take accountability. I will say she had good energy and tried to be kind when she could, but the way her class is set up is horrendous.
For Calculus 1, the professor provides clear video lectures and straightforward exams. You can do well by completing every homework and exam review. There are no trick questions; only the numbers change. Easy A
You will get support from both Professor Lee and the SI instructor in MATH150A. The lecture videos are clear and straightforward, they save a lot of time. The workload in class is very beneficial for the final exam. Choosing Professor Lee for MATH 150A can prepare a strong foundation for Calculus 2 (MATH 150B).
Her in depth lecture videos are AMAZING! You WILL have to put in the work and time. Be prepared to have hours of lecture videos each week, WebAssign assignments due every other night along with a quiz after each assignment. Her exams are tough but, she gives a review packet before each exam to help you better prepare. 10/10 would recommend.
I cannot say her class is easy. Except for the final exam, all of her exams are descriptive. You need to put in your effort. However, exams are very similar to her review test. So, if you study and review her book, you will get straight As.
I took her during the last semester of covid, online, first math class after a long break. She was really fair and nice, she helped me figure out how to study better for the exams. She dropped the lowest exam out of 5 I believe. She is good and will help if you reach out.
This teacher was awful. The first exam had an average of 46% and she offered no extra credit. There was 40 students in our class and by the end there was only 10. The students in our course signed a petition against her because she lacked skill to teach effectively. She uses another professors videos to teach the class. There was no effort.
It honestly just comes down to how good you are at math. If you struggle with it, don't take her. It's taught through pre-recorded online videos. Exams make up 85% of the class. SI sessions save me, but I think Christian might be gone for the next semesters so good luck. You get 10 extra credit points for attending 20 SI session hours. No curves.
Do not take this professor if you struggle to teach and learn things by yourself. Don't get be wrong, she's very nice, caring, and seems to want everyone to pass the class but DOES NOT HELP AT ALL. All lectures are FROM ANOTHER PROFESSOR and the homework has nothing to do with test.
Super sweet and funny, but if you struggle understanding people with strong accents, I would suggest not to take her class.
Professor Lee is very kind and made her lectures fun. This class only meets once a week which consists of students asking questions to prep for exams. If you aren't willing to put in the effort and time to self-study, you aren't going to do well in this class. Attend the SI sessions and keep up or else you will fall behind. I'm serious.
The class is challenging, but the professor provides clear video lectures and helpful exam reviews. With diligent work, like using Unstuck study, you can succeed in this course.
Very test and homework heavy. Doesn't bother to even give a small curve. Doesn't really teach, you must teach yourself. No extra credit, no test corrections, one and done that it.
This professor is strict, do not have any considerations, and arrogant, she thinks that she is that smart and perfect like she keeps talking about getting all A's when she was in college.
Dont take her class if u struggle with math. Attended almost every SI sessions, studied a lot and still bombed exams. Its because we only met once a week. Even then, she mostly talks about her life story on "how hard she worked to become a professor". You have to teach yourself thru old lecture videos. no effort from her besides grading our exams.
Great Prof. so far for Math I have attended. She gave us the mock exam, which was similar to the real one. Just make sure you did the homework over and over again, so you would feel comfortable during the exam. Good luck, guys.
I took a hybrid class, we'd meet once a week and she'd just cover questions for two hours. You basically have to teach yourself from the videos she provides that are made by another professor. On day 1, the class was completely full and she was talking about how there'd only be about 5 students left by the end - it was true.
A bit of a narcissist but not a deal breaker if you take her hybrid course. You only have to see her on exam days. Professor Morvan's videos are also available on youtube and they cover the same material. I recommend watching her videos instead.
I'd avoid taking this class..there were well over 30 ppl at the start of the semester & now there are barely 15. She's nice, & my own studying could improve (class is exam only) but even with my tutor & online lectures I still barely passed. The class averages were dangerously concerning, no EC, & the lectures touch on concepts not complexity.
Her hybrid class is a disaster. Her lectures are scattered and unclear, and her tests hit you with material she never taught. Almost everyone failed, and the few who passed barely scraped Cs. She leaves students stressed, confused, and blamed for her chaos. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS. RUN!!! RUN FOR YOUR GPA!!! TRUST ME WHILE YOU CAN!!!
You need algebra and trig to succeed in this course. The person who posted the previous review may have taken a different, less difficult course. Avoid this instructor if you can
Good professor. Videos are clear and straight to the point. Wants her students to succeed
Not good at all prof. Avoid if you can
Problems are tough. Study her lecture videos thoroughly. No surprises on exams. Study the exam reviews and drill problems to study and you'll do fine.
2 hours to take a 34 problem final. The class is set up for you to fail. Reduce the number of problems or extend the time , prof
Final was very similar to final exam review. Study that as well as her chapter reviews to prepare for the tests and you will be fine. Finished the final in an hour. Challenging but rewarding class.
Sometimes it is the instructors that are lacking. I can easily say that this was the case for this course. Take a different instructor if you can.
For anyone planning on taking her hybrid course, don't. Take a look at the number of reviews posted on Dec 11 2025. The website won't allow me to post what transpired on the 11th but if you are taking calculus, then you are probably smart enough to figure it out on your own. Avoid at all costs!
The final will kill your grade. It is designed to do that. The problems themselves aren't difficult, but the number of problems will force you to guess on half of them to complete the test in the alloted time limit. Too much homework and not relevant to what you will be tested on. Don't take this class if you want to learn calculus
You need trig and algebra to succeed in this course. Don't let Ms Lee fool you into thinking otherwise.
Don't take this course. You will regret it
Her videos suck. Don't take this class.
