Terrible professor who doesn't know how to teach. Just because you worked in the business world for twenty years doesn't mean you know how to teach it! She makes everything more confusing than it should be. Her tests do not follow what she teaches and the majority of the class fails the exam anyway so I don't know why she tries.

Horrible. Honestly, I don't like when teachers know the subject at hand, but can't teach it to a class of students. She didnt have any class office hours at Drexel, don't base everything off her powerpoints because you need that book, probably just the book. Highly suggest the study guide, probably better than the book.

Very hard to understand. the tests are multple choice, but the tests have nothing to do with the textbook or what she lectures about. 20+ years in business sector, doesn't mean you can teach a class. very rude. got in a student's face to yell at him. She is consistently 20-25 minutes late to every class. Have her on your schedule, switch out quick.

DROP THIS PROFESSOR! Spends way too much time talking about subjects that annoy her and are off topic. The translations from her teaching to her tests are impossible. You can know your stuff and still fail because of her wording. Makes up reasons,not stated on the syllabus take off points for grading. Uninteresting and poor professor Find another

Avoid Professor Csige at all cost. Lectures consist of staring at PowerPoint Slides(ridden with typos & grammatical errors). Contradictory lectures, I highly suggest to ignore Csige during lectures and read the chapters in class yourself. PREPARE YOURSELF for the most confusing GROUP PROJECT of your college life worth 20% of final grade. GOOD LUCK!

Wow this class absolutely ruined my gpa. Theres only 4 tests for this macro class. She gives no handouts, study guides or homework. She just talks and talks and when it was time to take the exam I literally knew nothing. Tried reading the book but she isnt clear on what exactly the test will be on. Youll have to memorize the entire book to pass.

All she does is complain about her salary and is at least 15 minutes late to class every day. she reads off a power point that is riddled with grammar errors and, does not even have the correct chapters on it. and whenever she goes to the board she will get the whole problem wrong Its honestly embarrassing how bad she is. good luck if you have her

There is no homework so there aren't any little grade boosters. Group project worth 25% of your grade with NO GUIDELINES. Save your GPA and do not take her.

She is not a clear professor, she does not give any work out except for 3 exams and one project so you will not have much space to bring your grade up if you fail a test. She also does not prepare you for the exams and will talk about irrelevant things all period, and when she does teach she isnt clear! Please do not take her, I truly warn you.

One of the worst teachers ive come across. Very unclear about what she wants and doesnt answer questions directly, often times leaving you more confused than you were before. She is extremely disrespectful to her students.

DO NOT TAKE HER!!! She gave us 3 grades all year, which included a mid-term, a project (which may I add had 0 directions), and a final (which the study terms didn't even match up). This professor has to be my least favorite yet, especially since I had a 96 leading up to the final and was given a poor study guide which led me to fail the final.

Do not pick this professor. She will fight you with everything you say even if its a simple question or problem your having. She only talks about her life as a lonely women and how she loves to give companies a hard time when she shops with them(amazon). She grades you on only two test and a project where she gives little to no information .

This is the most disrespectful teacher I have encountered, if you like being yelled at in the middle of class take her. She not only is a bad teacher but she gives horrible lectures and doesnt talk about any of the material in the class. This Professor is the only Marketing 101 professor for online at Mercer which personally I think sucks and the reason I say that is because she does not post any grades on Blackboard so the entire year the only grades u will know are midterm, final, and the marketing plan at the end of the semester I would have taken with anyone else.

The final project was a waste of time, she gave no directions, no guidance or examples. I knew more walking into that class from High School than she ever taught. I was hoping to learn, but I found out what super bowl commericals she liked and that's about it. Don't waste your time, take something else, she has no concept of actual marketing.

The professor gave a project, mid-term, and final for a 6 week class. Expected 250 word discussion responses weekly and provided absolutely no guidance on exams or project. Mid-term was 13 chapters with no study guide or information to even prepare the class as to what to expect and monitored by Honorlock. She gave exams as if I was a mkting exec.

She has been no help through the whole semester and has constantly left me feeling like there is no point to even try in this class. She has 4 grades and never prepares you for any of them. She posts nothing on blackboard to help with work and never answers questions she believes are stupid. I have never had a class I have hated as much as this one

She literally screamed at this student for half the class when we were supposed to be taking a test because he had a technical problem in which he could not utilize his camera. She is so nitpicky about everything. Breezes through the class as if we are supposed to memorize everything just like that.

5 wk summer course was assigned 13 discussion brd topics (250+wd responses each /15% final grade), 3 tests (each is 20% of final grade) & a 4000+wd essay (25% final grade) on opening bus. in another country (it was originally 3500 words but she apparently changed the grading criteria to 4000+ wds for grading just as she changed discussion deadlines

Expectations of this class vs other online courses is not comparable. She does not teach Marketing. You need to read multiple chapters 3/4 take a quiz (which I did good on) then you get no feedback on your answers. The quizzes have nothing to do with the tests! No study guides provided. Project 5000 words w graphs due with an off the wall due time.

Took her back in Fall of 2020. She should not be a professor, the way she handles her classes and treats her students is awful. She has like 3 tests and 1 project. She dosent even teach, she expects you to read the whole textbook and understand all of it. She belittles students and then expects them to participate. Do NOT take her.

She is rude, she is absolutely no help, and sets you up to fail. Expect no study guides for exams, expect to read a 2000 page textbook cover-to-cover, and expect no feedback when you do poorly in Marketing 101. Save your money and take this class with a different professor.

Test worth 20% of my grade was available for less than 3 days time. It was unclear that the test was available for such a short amount of time, and I was very busy that week. Professor was not understanding after I was unable to take the test and I was forced to withdraw from the course. The course itself wasn't even that hard.

This class involves being berated, belittled and treated as if you are always wrong. No structure and horrible lectures in which the prof. complains and rambles all class then when tests come, know very little because you are given 2000 pages to read with no review in the class. She makes mistakes then blames you and embarrasses you in class. 0/10.

This professor is extremely hard. She likes to talk back to you to make her opinion more important. She will belittle you. She gives no help throughout the course and tests. No review days at all. Spends half her time talking about herself than actually teaching. Makes you memorize the book front and back. No clear grading criteria.

Eva Csige is literally my professor for marketing, as well as my ADVISOR, and she literally has no desire to try and help me out at all in her class. A bunch of assignments, and if you miss an assignments due date, there is no makeup at all.

I took this class in the winter for 4 weeks. For 1, each week is a test and there is a 4000-word project at the end of the 4 weeks. For a regular class (16-weeks) that is fine, but the amount of work is a little excessive. Also the teacher gives no help when it comes to her tests (no study guides) therefore failing is probably normal in this class.

Out of our class of 15, we dropped down to 8 within a couple weeks. Those who dropped the class were smart as they did not have to deal with unfair tests where the average grade was an F. At the end of the semester, we had to ask for a curve as only 1 person had a grade over a D, and she only passed 4 of us. Gives attitude and is not flexible. HIDE

Overall she is an extremely strict grader and in a way will try and go out of her way to harm a students grade. Make sure you read her rubrics and make sure you include everything on the rubric because once you miss one thing she gets very strict. I do not recommend her at all, it was very hard to pass her class, if you have to take her Good Luck.

You come into class, talk for more than half of the class about the news, then barely get lectured on materials. You must teach yourself; there are no powerpoint slides at all. Additionally, you are only graded on 1 presentation and 3 exams. This was the worst class I have taken at Mercer. If you have to take it with this Professor, good luck.

STAY AWAY! Does not do her job and teach the class. She gets paid to stand in front of the class and talk about the news for 2/3 of the class which is not what we are tested on.

With this class you are basically self teaching yourself the material because she will have you read very long chapters for next class and The majority of class time is spent discussing things currently happening in the world, leaving us with like 20 mins to discuss the actual reading. If you think you did good on the final, she will say otherwise.

Took this class at Mercer and was disappointed. Most of class time was spent on news, not the course topic. Had to teach myself due to lack of focus. Grading was overly strict with no room for minor errors. Dropped it because it wasn't worth the frustration. She also seems to lack respect for students. If you're considering, think twice.

The professor is very disrespectful towards students, spends the first half hour talking about the news, and creates tests on material not covered in class. I don't like to speak badly of others but in this case, I believe it is necessary to warn others. There is nothing positive to say about her. Don't take her, and if you have to, I am sorry.

So when you are studying you have to read the whole chapters and memorize cause she doesn't give any clue to what's on tests. She assigned only 3 tests, which means you have to attempt to retain info for 5 weeks. Then there are no study guides AND she includes test info that was NEVER assigned!

had her for macro and marketing in the same semester. i stopped attending macro because she degrades the few students who speak up and also her tests are impossible and during them she acts like a prison warden. and in marketing she makes u write a 4000 word paper and doesnt grade it just puts it in an AI detector. avoid with all costs.

Would you take this professor again? HELL NO! I do not want to see anyone lose her job, but administration should really view and act on the reviews submitted about this professor. She should be encouraged to reconsider her teaching methods as they are ineffective and to the disadvantage of every student she encounters. Her method demands CHANGE!

DO NOT TAKE HER! Her class is test heavy, your grades will rely on doing well on her 3 tests all randomly picked from the chapters. Memorizing every word/pages of the chapters for that test is necessary in order to do well as she does NOT give any study guides. 40 questions each tests worth 20% for your final grade means very small margin of error!

By far the worst professor that I have had at MCCC. Professor Csige makes no effort to help her students succeed in any of her classes (ive taken 2). She would rather watch you fail the class than make an effort to help you get a good grade. Unfortunately this professor is the only option for some required classes I think admin should change that.

Professor does not bother to actually teach. She only talks about her views on the global business topic. Never gives study guides nor directs you to the right things also does not care about the students, only herself. There is no clear guide line for the class. Avoid at all costs or go to a different professor.

talked about her political views too much, toughest grader, and made her exams so people could fail. study guides barely had anything to do with the exam itself. ran the classroom like a high school. played the guessing game too much to the point where I was not even learning. she had to implement homework because people were failing the class 1/2

Bad Teacher. Discussion grading was pretty easy but the tests had NOTHING to do with the study guide and you had to pray that process of elimination and what you remember from the hundreds of textbook pages could save you. Gives no feedback and doesn't actually teach at all.

The rating distribution speaks for itself.....until professor csige decides to make an effort to change anything relating to the feedback on here, you will most likely not do well in her class.

I took this class online and it did not go well. There was no actual teaching involved, we simply read the book and then took tests. The tests were a bit tricky and no study guides. The discussion questions were not great and there was no feedback given. The paper had confusing criteria, and the criteria were not all posted together. Overall sloppy

took an online class where discussion posts required 250+ words and two comments for full points, but the professor provided no feedback. There were no make-up options for tests or homework, and the multiple-choice questions were very tricky probably AI made. Plus, there's a 4000-word project!

Awful Experience.

The literal worst professor I have ever seen in my life. Should be fired immediately. Has zero idea how to teach. asks us why we do bad or if we need help with something then never answers our questions then if we tell her she's wrong she denies us of being right. She has no idea how to teach. horrendous

Terrible experience in class and out of class. Admits to not caring about students success even when it is her fault for their failure. Wastes half of class talking about unrelated current events without meaningfully tying in economics. Is often wrong and blows time on hinting everyone to answers we could not possibly know during the lecture. Bad!

I got an A in her class but it was probably the hardest thing I have ever done

She shows little regard fir her students, is an overall difficult and lazy teacher, and I have yet to meet anyone who likes her, her teaching, or received higher than a C+ in the course. All the subjects she teaches are already complicated, and she does nothing to help. Avoid this course and this monster at all costs.

Should have listened to the reviews. Very tough teacher. Nothing on our quizzes/HW are on the exams. 4 exams make up your grade, quizzes/hw make up 10%. We barely learn anything in class. She says that its the students that don't know how to learn anymore, but tbh it has to be her. So many people in my class did bad :( Do not recommend.

Believe the reviews. Would not recommend. Thought that I would give a try, and regret it. Now I have an F and have to re take the class. If this is the only open class available, I recommend waiting till another semester. Horrible at teaching! Nothing on quiz/hw is on test. Does not help if you need help, says you should know the material.

Taking this class was a bad idea, I heard lots of bad things but needed to get the class out the way, so I decided to take it feel like we don't learn anything in class if you want to learn you have to go home and teach yourself which is not the purpose of school. Blamed the whole class for doing bad but when we ask for help makes us feel dumb

Loves to talk about things that don't correlate to the lesson, goes on long speeches about her conspiracy theories, would not recommend, EVER.

Refuses to elaborate on any of her assignments. When asked to see examples for the "mini project" she says no, and as you present will go off on how you did it entirely wrong or as she said, "you are so wrong it's laughable." She doesn't ever stay on topic and will explain how her washing machine was green, but not explain her slides.

Really bad professor, she won't help you at all, she would get mad at everything you do, she gives the same grades to everybody no matter how good or bad you are, she won't focus on class, she would be talking about other stuff that it's not important, she picks and chooses who to be nice. Barely learn about global business environment.

She doesn't care about her students' success and is very disrespectful. She randomly changed a homework due date and, after the whole class failed and reminded her she said otherwise, denied it and claimed she felt “personally attacked.” She teaches the bare minimum, leaving everyone lost on homework and tests, even when reading the textbook.

Absolutely awful professor. There are no redeeming qualities about Professor Csige, avoid her at all costs. Instead of actually teaching, she will waste your time talking about the herself. Also, she's disrespectful as hell and constantly humiliates students. The college honestly needs to reconsider their contract with Professor Csige.

NEVER TAKE THIS COURSE. This professor doesn't teach. She will ramble on about utter nonsense for an hour, and expect you to figure the course out yourself for the test. You have 1 “small” project, which there's no rubric for and no examples to see and your only source of help is her saying “this is awful” or “this is a horrible project”. Big help.

I have taken other online classes at Mercer, and this has had to be my WORST experience. No direction in readings and minimal assignments to be graded on. Even with reading and studying, my test grades were not that great. Questions in tests were also confusing. Would never take her again, avoid her at all costs.
