Very good teacher and tons of extra credits. I got 67 on the first test and got a 72 on the second test but the extra credits got me a 106 and its group work which u dont have to worry about. If u do bad in this course, u really do have a problem.

She is an excellent teacher. She wants to make sure that everyone knows their stuff before she moves on to a new topic. You don't have to go to class, and if you study from her review sheets and go to the review class before the test, you will get an A.

Wow. Greatest class ever....greatest professor ever. I wish this woman would have taught every one of my classes from pre-k to high school. Hot, funny, smart...this professor has it all. Easy tests and tons of extra credit. Almost impossible to do bad in this class.

Best class I had so far!! Impossible to do bad and if you do, you are pathetic. Her tests are straight qestions from the review. Sometimes I even remember which answer it is before I read the multiple choice. Is not just easy tests, her teaching is a wonder even if you do not read. She makes you do exercises that is so clear and great.

Easy to understand and she make's sure that you got the topic. Motivates you to do your best by giving extra home work to get extra points. She is friendly and helpful before and after class.

Very Good Professor. Take her. The only problem is that she teaches accounting 101 (the first accounting class) and most students think that accounting is as easy as she makes it and then later in their accounting schooling they plumet. Accounting is tough, don't let her easiness fool you.

Hands down the easiest class you will take in college, and she admits to this on the first day. She practically gives you the tests at the review and if that's not enough she gives you free points on the final (if you chose to do some of the "optional" homework assignments) If you don't get an A+ in this class you never will, sorry.

This is possibly the GREATEST professor at QC!!! VERY Fair grader and a very pleasant personality (easy on the eyes as well). seriously the best acct prof qc has to offer. her class is so easy. readings are mandatory of course, but the hw isnt, however i recommend doing it anyway-a few extra points wont hurt! she does give a lot of extra credit towards the middle & end of the semester. take time to do the review files and quizzes she offers. they really help on exams.

best acct teacher bar none.Reviews only relevant information necessary for the final and goes over problems till you get sick of them. Her tests are taken straight from her review sheets and she gives a lot of E.C. on tests. Each HW gives you +1 on the final and she gives extra EC opportunities if HW is not your bag.

She goes at a perfect speed - doesn't spend time on the unnecessary things but makes sure you understand the important things. Very helpful and always willing to listen to students questions. Awesome!

The best teacher for ACCT 101. 4 test and 2 very easy projects and tons of extra credit. The 4th test was an optional test only for extra credit. She gives reviews of the test where half the review questions are on the test and the other half are similar but worded differently. Very nice and easy, but do NOT be a wise guy. I took a hybrid class and it was the worst idea I've ever had. Don't take if you work full-time and study full-time. You'll have to teach yourself on your own. Appeared in the class 3 times only, was too fast and didn't explain the grading clear enough. I got C, then transferred to Baruch and got A for Managerial Accounting. She didn't teach me

Hybrid course, not a great idea if you're acct major. She provides you with the tools in order to do good although the bottom line is how much you learn after the class and in a hybrid course, its almost youre on your own. She even said it, its up to how disciplined you're in reading and doing homework, she's good quality.

Honestly one of the best professors I've had. She either takes notes on the board or does examples every class. Makes it extremely hard to do poorly if you show up and do the examples in class. Will answer any questions in class or via e-mail. However, I had her as a professor at Hofstra, still the best.

I can't understand why anyone would say she isn't good. I have taken a lot of accounting classes but she has been the only one who has made it clear and I have taken plenty of accounting classes. It's a tough field and a tough subject. Be thankful that she breaks things down for you. It's not an easy subject but she is very clear in lectures.

she is good at explaining terms and gives extra credit, three tests (1 is optional for extra credit) and a final. there is a group presentation at the end of the course worth 10%, homework is optional but she said if you do it all it could boost your grade if you need it.

Great professor, taken for summer. Homework optional, but used to boost grade if you're on the edge. Extra credit for each exam. Two exam + 1 optional exam + cumulative final. One easy research project, another group (or solo, your preference) presentation project. She was accommodating and easygoing, although that may have been because of summer.

She is a very caring professor. Always willing to help with any questions you may have. Her tests were very fair with very generous curves. Homework is extra credit and attendance is optional but she bumps up your grade if you show up. Accounting is tough though and you need to put in the work to excel. She is the #1 Professor to take for Acct 101!

Prof. Solarsh is an excellent professor. She can break down really complex material in a way that is easy to understand. She truly is an asset to QC and one of the most knowledgeable instructors I have ever taken.

Great class even tho it was remote learning but sometimes you'll do bad on the tests bc typos and no curves. No cap if you want an A it is test heavy :( worth a lot of its so high risk high reward

Assuming your taking this course online. Im not even going to get into the grading policy just take it. no questions asked easiest A youll get in accounting or maybe, college in general

She is excellent. Anyone who doesn't agree is simply lazy. This is college people. Wake up and do some work on your own. She can't spoon feed you everything. You do have to read and her review of material is phenomenal. She can break down really complex material. She is a great all around person responsive to students concerns and needs.

Wow! She is one of the best professors everywhere! She makes hard material easier to understand. She reviews problems as many times as needed to make sure students really understand. You do have to read also but she's a really great person and an amazing teacher.

I wish she was teaching 102.Tests tests everything was straight forwards. About 7 or 8 exams and a cumulative final. Curves and Extra Credit for every exam to better understand that material. She was very caring for her students and wanted to see everyone do well .Come to class her explanation for the material was very beneficial for me at least.

Appreciated that professor was very responsive with emails and always willing to help. It is a tough course and does mean you have to do a lot of reading.....but it kind of comes with the territory......I think that if you're willing to put in the work, she is a great professor who is always willing to help.
