Very good teacher. I am so bad at math and I actually learned crap in that class. I don't know how he does it. He rinks too much soda though.
Young, down-to-earth guy.

He is a wonderful teacher. When he teach's you, you understand what he is trying to get across. Plus he makes Jokes so the class passes by faster. I passed his class with an A this Fall 2004.
Nice guy has funny stories to tell but can go on tangents sometimes which can be a little distracting.
I took him for trig as well and got an A in all 3 classes with leech. he's super cool, down to earth, funny, and approachable. this teacher really has perspective unlike some teachers who take themselves way to serious. I definetly recommend this teach
The greatest teacher on the planet. You will learn what everyone else learns across the country, but it is easy with Evan Leech. He is very nice and leaniant. Does not care when you turn things in. As long as you show you learned the material, you get good grades. In the end that is what counts.
this teacher is the best one i every had at skyline,i hate math like i hate the lines at the local DMV, but with leach as a teacher, he makes this boring subject feel like a walk in the park. take this teacher if you want an "A" in math, and if you expect to have fun at the same time.
Very hip, young teacher. He knows the material and his lectures are helpful. Sometimes he can be a bit scatterbrained, but he is a good teacher overall. A word of warning, Calculus is a tough subject, so don't fall behind on your homework.
Great teacher and really funny. Tests are pretty straightforward until you reach the end. Last 3-4 few q's can be tricky sometimes. Don't rely on the multiple choice part cause he likes to play mind games with you on that. When i took him he graded the best 10 of the 12 problems on the tests.
One of the best teachers I've ever had! I never really like math until I had this professor, he mix in Humor and math to keep everyone interested. Seems like a stand-up comedian.. He makes math fun and u actually can learn! Highly recommended!
He a SUper Cool Math Profesor!!~ =)

i got an A in calculus in his class.... that's all i have to say, he makes math that easy and clear. he's a great teacher, and he's funny
Very fun entertaining teacher. Has a good style of teaching and really helps you understand the materials without the usual *I need sleep!* reaction. (I took the class VERY early in the morning every morning and he was able to keep me awake... amazing!)

awesome teacher. hella funny too. i got good grades in math.wanna find another class he teaches
I took his 8am class, so everyone there was pretty much dead. Prof. Leach had great energy though, and he even had a sense of humor. I suspect he does stand-up from time to time. He was inconsistent with his quizzes, but he prepares you well for the tests, and he is fair. He says homework is due a week after it is assigned, but he is lenient.
funny guy, tells a lot of dork jokes - but that's cool cuz im a dork. just wish he'd allow more than a 3x5 reference card for tests.
he's a cool teacher. helps you understand the material very well and has a LOT of jokes. i'm in a class where no one likes to laugh at his jokes because they think they're too cool or something...he's just trying to wake everyone up! As far as grading goes..make sure you do ALL of your homework because it will help you out A LOT if your tests arelo
This guy totally woke me up in class with lame jokes and sarcasm. His teaching style is pretty cool too. If you study and ask for help, he'll be nice and give you a nice grade too. ^.^
best and coolest math teacher i ever had!
Leach (not Leech) is a great teacher! I've taken him for two different classes and he was helpful and clear. Also, if you get stuck, he is more than willing to help you out (and he drops low test/quiz scores). I recommend taking him for any math class! :)
i took his class at 03, among the top student in the class. his class is hecka easy, easy to understand, not much hw, easy test. always make jokes and funny moves. he'd help out and answer all ur question.
Taken him twice, 110 and 120... that's how good he is! Mixes comedy w./ math. That's awesome! I'm horrible in math and he explain things clearly to the point that I actually understand! Almost didn't pass 120 because of my lack of effort but since I did really well with the final he pass me anyway. Really "COOL" teacher!
class was okay kinda boring. he thinks hes funny but hes not. i couldve gotten a better grade if i did better on the tests. he would give practice tests that were similar to the test but i think he got lazy towards the end. he let me turn in all my late hw with no penalty.
He's a good teacher with a very clear, easy-to-understand lecturing style. I learned new concepts quickly. His sense of humor is dark, bitter, and caustic, which amuses me. One warning though: He will skip more classes than you will.
one of the best math teacher i have taken so far! super easy quiz!
Highly Recommended. He explains with clarity, and finds easy ways to solve math problems. Easy quizzes that lets you know how your doing. Has study guide sheets for each test. Though you need to dedicate some time and effort to get a good grade in his class, his teaching method will make it all worthwhile. Overall, good professor.
Great teacher. He is super duper helpful. I got a B in the class. Homework is a must though. If you do the homework you will get a better grade than if you don't. So if you don't do homework don't take this class, you will fail. Overall, a freaking rocking teacher. You will learn a lot.
I must say the class is harder than most teacher, because eventhough, you attend every class and do all the homework you still would not get an A. He like to add sneaky problems in Quiz and test that he never taught in class. Also he doesnt prepare you enough in Lev to do the HW problems. you can easily get fail if you are not smart.evandonotread
When we received our grading sheet a hand full of students received 0's for their homework that he misplaced. There were students that copied from others in exams and he didn't do anything about it, when students spoke to him about it. His lectures aren't boring but he will stray away from topic and made jokes about those who leave early. During exams if you ask for help his automatic answer is yes if he thinks you only want the answer. During office hours he doesn't have a lot of time but he does try to help you.
Leach's favorite word is awesome, and I guess that sums up the whole class for me too! Jokes are a-plenty, so there's always something to laugh about. His tests are tricky, but if you just do all the homeworks, you'll be more than fine. He is made of fun and awesome, I tell ya, so better take him for Calculus classes!
Leach is hilarious and an excellent teacher... thats an uber l33t combo lolz. he explains material well, his tests are fair and he breifs you on them ahead of time. w00t!! he likes to go off on tangents, like, hardcore..but they are always rofl funny. basically, the dude is a great teacher. leach ftw!! oh yea he likes to pace around alot lololollol
leach is the BEST! hands down. he makes learning math interesting. i hated math before i took his class but after i took it, he made me actually want to learn more. he's funny, super nice and explains every detail of the problem till u kno it. great guy! take him n you wont regret it.

Every week there is a test. If you don't pass the test it's because you didn't take notes. He is very good at giving all the notes needed for the test and going over material.
he's great! a good teacher and really hot! he teaches well and clear! his jokes are kinda corny at first but he's really cool! take him!
Best Math Teacher Ever. He is so cute and nice, I came everyday and sat in front to learn as much as I could.
I'm glad I wasn't the only one crushing on him all semester. Best math teacher I've ever taken! He's cute, VERY funny, and can explain the material backwards and forwards. Goes on a lot of tangents, but they're entertaining and he still finished the material with time to spare. Only problem: he missed class several times without warning.
This professor took time to explain the material. I know he did a lot of jokes but honestly it was early in the morning so we needed a little wakeup. He grades fair too.
A very good Teacher. Only one bad thing, there were too many times that he was not there this semester. This was unfortunate
This professor made math a lot more understanding to me and I enjoyed his class. I would recomend taking him for math any day. You will not be sorry!
Evan is very helpful. If you have a question feel free to ask him, he's not like other teachers who questions you back and expects an answer. Take this class!
He's funny and he knows the material backwards and forwards. He goes through and actually pauses to let you finish copying notes. He'll go on tangents that I found hilarious. Not much homework and the tests are similar to the assignments,DO THE HOMEWORK! If you don't understand something, just ask. I would take a class w/him again given the chance.
He is the epitome of a good math teacher. He is: chill, clear, helpful, T3h L33t pWn20r, and above all, hilarious. He is one of the funniest teachers that I have ever had in my entire life, and also the one that made me understand the material the most. He does go on tangents like hella hardcore (ie we will talk about integrals, then he will go on
This professor is great. He gives you a chance to get all the material down before continuing on with his lecture. He makes learning fun.
He is a great teacher who is obviously committed to his job of helping college students. He is also makes me ROFL each class.
Leach is amazing. I seriously cannot stop laughing in his class. I love his tangents and how he always seems to refer to interweb memes in his lectures and notes. Leach>all srs. If you ever have the chance to have a class with him, DO IT. You won't regret it. He's an amazing teacher and makes the subject I hate most actually interesting.
Leach is a great teacher. He is hilarious and he makes the course interesting. He is always relaxed or calm. He is so organize. He is the best instructor I've ever had. You may find math boring, but if you choose him as your intstructor, you won't regret it and you will have fun. Lasty, I love how he teaching style. =]
Mr. Leach is just simply awesome. I think he's the best math teacher ever. He is hilarious, intelligent, organize, and entertaining. I love his teaching style. He is also very responsible and manages his time wisely and effectively unlike other teachers. He always reminds his students of their responsibilities (like preparation for the final, etc.)
Leach is an awesome teacher! He's funny and he teaches very well. He actually pauses to let students copy the notes! This guy reminds me of family guy, he's always cutting into funny tangents while in the middle of giving a lesson. YOU WILL BE LUCKY TO HAVE THIS GUY AS A TEACHER.
Loved his class. Really fun hot teacher! Hey Leach! If you're reading tuis comment, teach statistics and I promise you there will be a zombie apocalypse! Please teach stats too=(
Seriously easiest class as long as you pay attention and take notes. Leach has a great sense of humor and made the 8 o' clock class actually enjoyable!
I got A on his class, why? because he is very easy, I think 90% of students were getting A on his class! just take his class!
Best math teacher i have ever had! i suck in math and yet managed to pass his class with a B! his test are super easy only ten problems! & his final was only 20 questions, he makes the class fun with his humore. take him, you wont regret it.
Great teacher! He doesn't allow notes on tests which is a good thing--it forces you to learn and memorize the material. You just need the online access code for CourseCompass homework-no textbook needed! Attend class and go to office hours; he'll help you out if you're stuck on anything. Take notes, study for tests, and you'll do fine.
He is an overall great teacher. He lectures to teach the material, gives homework daily. Don't worry: as long as you do the problems you will get 100% on all your work. His tests are usually easy if you have understood the homework. He speaks very clearly and will answer any homework questions you may have before turning it in. Take him.
He clarifies everything well, teaches at an elementary level in a way that is comprehensible to everyone, no matter your skill level, he is hysterical and incorporates jokes at all the right moments and eases any unsureness in the room & if I had had any idea that he was so charismatic & attractive, I would never have taken his class. True story.
Best math teacher I've ever had! I used to suck and haaate math, but now I love it..Don't know if its how good of a teacher he is, or how attractive he is...Either way, its working :D
If you think you are bad in math, take him. He will make your life so much easier, and you will actually understadn the material. Also he has a great sense of humor.
The awesome that walks like a man.
I don't why people keep saying leach is easy. His calc 2 tests are hard as ....! 1 he doesn't give partial credit, meaning if you get the final answer wrong, you get a 0! 2 he give our tests back late all the time! 3 his test questions and the hw problems are like north and south. Maybe he's more easy going on his other classes *shrug*
best teacher ever! very hilarious and uses great examples. strays off topic and entertains class while at the same time, jumping back on topic. good pace and easy work, maybe like 1-4 assignments per week. never gives back tests though. he says he forgets haha. a must have for any math class you take!
Awesome professor! Lectures are clear and he goes at a good pace. You won't regret taking him, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Great sense of humor and makes the class interesting.
Great teacher and person. He makes a lot of funny jokes and sometimes random tangents during class. He's really good at articulating the concepts and answers any students' questions with real answers. If you're good at math, you should have no trouble getting an A. Sometimes he gets lazy, we had no homework the whole second half of the class.
You can tell in the way he gives out resources, takes the time to answer questions in his breaks, and is responsive via email that he cares that we learn. Through his humorous, sarcastic tangents, he manages to raise awareness of issues in a math class of engineers (props to him); “If you’re not angry, you’re not paying attention.”
At first, he was very intimidating. After awhile, you realize he is just brutally honest, and understands what students think and should hear. It seems like he wants you to fail, but in reality he really cares that you work hard to earn your grade. He's an inspiring person and can really make math class really interesting.
GREAT teacher. Very clear and explains math in a very fun and easy way. I HATE math with a passion, but I adored being in his class because he made it fun, and dare i say it, easy! Recommend him for everyone!
one of the best professors I took in Skyline! if you are taking math take Leach he won't disappoint you!
Evan Leach was by far the most inspirational and cool teacher I have had during my 2 and a half years at Skyline. I was never good at math and professor Leach made calculus easy. Just make sure you do well on the final!
Professor Leach, If you're reading this I just wanted to express my thanks. Integrals were challenging, especially with trig functions, but you were able to help break that barrier. Solids and Revolutions were a bit confusing, but you also did a great job helping me. I learned so much in your class and had an awesome time in math 252. Thank you.
Great teacher!!!! He cracks jokes and tells funny stories that lightens the mood during class. Takes as much time as you need to understand the material. I was never good at math during high school and now i am passing with a B+. BEST TEACHER EVER!!!!!!!!!!!! I highly recommend him, the only math teacher i will ever take.
One of THE BEST math teachers I have ever taken. His classwork is exactly like his tests. No surprises and if you have any questions, he is always there to answer them clearly. Thought I would hate math in college but because of him, I was actually happy to show up to math class. Great sense of humor also!
I had Mr. Leache for both math 222 and 252. I normally hate math but he made math fun and easy to understand. If it wasn't for him I probably would not have passed. Thank you for everything. He is probably the best professor I've had at my skyline career.
He is one the best math professor. He is cool and makes his material interesting. Tests are pretty easy, and he doesn't want people to fail his class
He's hilarious, funny, and good explaining math. His exams are hard, and his methods are easy to understand it points. I would take him again. Make sure to get the homework done.
He's not the best professor I've ever taken, but he's up there. Definitely the best Calc 2 professor in Skyline College. Teaches you what you need to know, as long as you study and look at the material, then you'll pass his tests. Even if you don't pass his tests, he gives you another chance where the final is do or die to make up your mistakes.
I took math 120 with him which is basically high school algebra 2. I learned so much more from him than in high school. His lectures go by very quickly as he is very funny and he keeps the class engaged. If he taught all the math subjects, he'd be the only teacher I take.
Leach is a good math professor and is almost an easy A. his notes and lectures are easy to follow and he even posts them online. As long as you study for the tests, you should be good. He always goes over tests too.
If your major requires math, this professor is not an efficient way to go.
Great professor! I literally never do these but professor leache was one of my favorite professors I've had. Hella funny, chill workload, hell yeah I'd recommend him!
Leach is a brilliant person who is also hilarious. I've hated math for years because my previous teachers didn't teach me a thing. Once I took this class I started to love math again. He teaches in a way that only makes sense he gives many examples why it does. The class is overall an easy A if you just simply show up and pay attention. Plus you'll laugh and enjoy the things you learn. Must take.
Took his class over the summer. Everyone recommended him and I could see why. Very humorous, he made a 8am class tolerable through his funny jokes and rants. I even looked forward to his early morning lectures. He explains the material really well, especially for a class that was completely conceptual and hard to picture. Very fair grader.
Honestly if you are majoring in math he is not recommended. You will not be able to learn all the math materials. He is great and all but he gets good ratings bc the students are practically getting easy grades for not doing anything. Think about it.
I am so bad at math, never have gotten an A in the subject before. Leach completely changed that for me, took him for 110 and 120 and would have continued if he taught more of what I had to take. I got an A in both classes. I recommend him if you are bad at math because he is easy to understand and so nice. One of my favorite teachers of all time.
During his lecture he talked a lot. So learning calculus is on our own but his grading system is excellent. he give you test which is hard but his grading system will help to pass or get A easily. But I won't take again because his test is so hard and learn a little during lecuture.
Take his class If you are really bad at math. I was really bad at math. Guess what ! I am majoring in Computer Engineering after all.
He is a great Professor for calculus at Skyline. You need to show up to classes, understand the material and be prepared for his tests which are hard but not tricky. He would be clear on what he expects from you for tests. He has a great sense of humor that helps you keep going through the class. He is very caring and understanding if you work hard
Great professor. He made the explanations very easy, and started at the easiest point and progressed from there. He didn't assume everyone knew the same amount of material. He was funny too!
Took Linear Over Summer. Awesome professor. Clear with what will be on the exams and final and goes off on awesome tangents in class. Follow the classwork, pay attention, and you will be set.
I took his class in the spring semester. I am not good in math but he already knows most of his students are. He made it easy to understand the subject to help students with the difficulty with math. He does goes off topic from the lesson plan but he does knows his stuff. Trust me he makes it easy.
Had him for Calc II & III. Amazing professor who wants his students to understand math conceptually and exactly what's going on when solving problems. Clear lectures. Doesn't hold your hand. Challenging homework problems. Tests similar to HW. He's made me into a more independent learner. Hilarious guy too
Honestly. His class amazing. You learn a lot but then he gets off topic a lot but he cares. Best teacher I had so far.
I wish all professors are like him, he talks in class about a lot of random things which makes it more engaging however sometimes a waste of time when instead you should be learning. He's not a very tough grader but he grades effort. I don't deserve the A he gave me. Best way to get your math courses done!
Leach is hilarious and always goes off topic every now and then, but doesn't affect the lectures. Very clear teaching and understanding. We took 2 tests and the final exam. He kinda shows up late a lot but often lets us out early. Highly recommend for Math 120. Little online hw, classwork 2 times a week, and no quizzes. Best math professor!
He is pretty good professor on the test no notes no formula sheet and no cheat sheet no one page notes and final. only calculator
Engaging lectures, funny guy. I took him 2 years ago or so and I wish my professors now were as good as him. Pay attention to terminology, he cares a lot about wording. Took this class over the summer so it was pretty brutal, but he lets you override your previous test scores if you do well on the final.
I have always failed a math class until I had this teacher. He is fair and gave maybe 8 homework assignments all semester. If you skip class he doesnt care but it will hurt you because he teaches something new each class. He goes over final material two weeks before so you get enough practice and questions in. Final was really easy to pass.
Leach is very engaging and active professor. He collects homework every week. If students skip the class, it will affect the overall grade because attendance, classwork and homework are 50% of your grade. Be aware of difficult tests and final exam.
Heard a lot about Leach from my friend who took him years before, and hes pretty chill. Like other reviews, he does go off topic sometimes but believe it or not he educates us as well on those off-topic rants and always finds himself back on the math lecture. Pretty straightforward guy, he will always help you if you ask, he wants people to ask.
Prof Leach is a combo of: a) funny/serious b) caring/callous c) lenient/rigorous. a) He's serious about math and teaching, yet his lectures are hilarious b) He'll say he doesn't care if you flunk, yet his actions say he wants you to do well c) lots of HW/classwork but it builds you up to tests/final where you'll see the same problems. BEST prof!
A god. Very clear and simple. Made linear algebra seem easier than algebra 1. You literally learn 1 operation and then tell different things from its result. Perfect for a summer class. Do not miss class. Can give up to 2 quizzes/test+quiz during one class. Tests have the same questions as the quizzes. Interesting to listen to,makes class enjoyable
He is the best professor I met. I took all his classes, MATH 251-253, AND MATH 270. He is funny, and everything is clear. I highly recommend his calculus class. He doesn't have too much HW and accepts late HW. If you finish all your HW, you will get a full grade at that part. Also, his tests are EZ, I like him. Also, his classes are fun! Follow him
I took prof. leach for 253 and the class was a joke. He gave everyone who was enrolled an A, never graded one single thing, and only gave us two tests at the very begining of the semester that were not returned. The class was easy, I got an A, however I feel that he was not invested or passionate about teaching or the students. Didnt learn anything
Professor Leach is HILARIOUS! Depending on how you like to learn he may or may not be a good teacher for you. Leach pretty much lectures every session but he goes off topic every 10 minutes or so to make a joke or movie reference. I personally loved that because it would give me time to catch up on writing or have a laugh!
I had Professor Leach for linear algebra, and he made the class seem so straightforward and easy to understand. During the lectures, we were able to ask him to help us with specific problems after he went over the main information. He doesn't curve, but his tests are relatively easy as long as you understand the concepts.
He doesn't lecture a lot, but sometimes he can be a jerk when it comes through his grading policy that he fail so many students who weren't studying the material well enough to understand the difficult concepts of math.
Professor Leach is an amazing teacher! His homework is very minimal and easy to complete. He rarely gives quizzes and when he does they are only 3 questions and theyre super easy. I definitely recommend his class, even if youre bad at math.
Great professor! Definitely recommend him
I had an autonomous MATH120/MATH820. People that take this class are either starting out with algebra or need help with it. He repeated himself for weeks in the daily lecture, seemingly trying to get students to stop going to the lectures altogether. None of what he covered was the homework we did in Pearson. In short, waste of time and money; boo.
Leach is the kind of professor you take if math isn't your forte. Although he can go off a tangent in his lectures, the content and information provided is actually straightforward. He'll be happy to explain anything if you just ask him. Quizzes are given but if you miss any points, he allows you to retake the quiz in order to get full credit.
Leach is a great professor. He is pretty clear in his lectures and directly tells you what he wants and expects from you. Not a lot of homework and quizzes, but don't cheat. He hates cheaters!
Took over the summer. Prof Leach spent a lot of his class time going over hw problems, saving me a lot of time when watching recordings. His short lectures were decent, but I learned most of the material by reading the textbook and doing the hw, which was only graded for completion. Untimed tests were a big plus.
Prof Leach is a great choice! Not so test-heavy, and more focused on the learning aspect of it. The workload for online MATH 251 was very manageable. Prof is very chill, funny, and relaxed. Overall, good choice, and your grade will thank you.
Professor did not lecture only on math, he also covered topics such as politics, philosophy, career counseling, and economics. Goes on tangents quite often, always answers students' questions clearly, and goes over homework questions upon student request. Homework problems are usually pretty challenging, but you get unlimited attempts.
The class was fairly simple. Lectures in person, zoom, and youtube. Assigns homework from textbook. Final is made up of quizzes with unlimited attempts. He really wants you to understand the material and pass the class.
He's the coolest professor I've ever met. It's an in-person class but he also gives zoom option which is very convenient. The quizzes and the assignments are very easy and you can easily do it. The exams are not very difficult, they are also online quizzes.
Easily one of the most forgiving professors I've taken. Unlimited attempts on every assignment, including final. No midterm and he lets you correct wrong answers on final multiple times. Doesn't even feel like a final because of the way he grades it; gives you hints too. Lectures are always well-structured and organized. Would take again!
The MOST forgiving math teacher in existence. Took him for all of my time in Skyline. He gives an option for Zoom for people who cannot make it in-person. Lectures are detailed and entertaining. Assignments, quizzes and finals are really easy and forgiving. But don't take his generosity for granted, he really wants you to understand the material.
Gave a lot of homework, however it was a mix of work that was done in class and outside. Allows open notes for quizzes and the Final. Has an extremely positive attitude that makes taking math a not so boring thing. The ability to use zoom to attend classes is extremely convenient, although I never needed it. Overall great class.
Professor Leach keeps the lectures interesting with tangents and humor, but be prepared for challenging homework. Use resources like the textbook, study sessions, and tools like unstuck study to stay on top of the material. Overall, an engaging class if you put in the work.
Professor Leach is an amazing instructor who cares for his students and their success. Not many tests but when there is a test, Professor Leach gives great review material. Would love to take this class again!
I took this course last year and he was very excellent how he taught us and he taught us how to understand trig properly.
Leach is a very funny and very calm guy. He never fails to make the class laugh about the things he says. A little intimidating tho, u might b scared to go to office hours because he has a very stern face a lot of the time. The bad part is he never grades anything on time and forgets to post hw. He acknowledges these faults but he's chill so its g.
Honestly for being someone who hates math professor Leach made it so much fun and super easy to understand. He is hilarious and there is never a dull moment in class. definitely would recommend this professor to anyone who's looking to taking any of his class.
