Really enjoyed this class! Dr. Prilipko really cares about her students and created a positive, fun environment for all of us. I highly recommend taking her for BA324 -- you won't regret it!
Dr. Prilipko is absolutely amazing! Take her for BA324 if you have the option. By the end of the semester, I felt so much more comfortable public speaking and she genuinely cares about her students. I went to her office hours a few times for a non-school related pitch and she was extremely helpful and kind.
Greatest teacher I feel like I'll ever have in my entire educational career. Genuinely cares about her students and wants them to succeed. This was the only class out my entire schedule that I willingly wanted to attend. Her class is fun and engaging. You will make new friends and come out a more confident person. I will definitely miss her class!
one of the best teachers I have ever taken. It will be complete joy to attend her class as there is not much work to do and class is super fun. She pushes students to be better public speaking expert in super engaging way. You will notice clear difference in you speaking and writing abilities. Also I made many friends in her class:)
I took Dr. Prilipko's class last semester and it has been my favorite class at UT Austin so far. She does a phenomenal job at getting everyone in her course comfortable with giving presentations. Before having her class, I was always scared to present in front of others. Now, I think it is actually fun!! You will make great friends in here too.
Dr. Prilipko is very understanding and helpful. She does a great job of making intimidating projects more fun and engaging. If you want to improve your public presentation and interview skills, then take Dr. Prilipko.
I looked forward to class because it was so much fun! The workload is not intense, and you bond with the whole class. She actually cares about her students! Take her!!
Amazing teacher! had her at 8 am and absolutely loved going to her class that early in the morning! must take
This class is GREAT. Professor Prilipko is so understanding and energetic. This is the only 8am class that I am so glad to have taken and is so worth it. She created such an amazing environment for everyone to open up and become very comfortable with each other. The grade distribution is amazing as well. Can't get better than her for BA324
She honestly is such an amazing professor. Trust.
She made my public speaking voice come alive. I could not have been more scared to begin the course. But, she has an approach were she creates an environment were everyone feels comfortable. It is like she hypnotizes you to be supported. Even the most introverted people will make friends and feel comfortable speaking in this class. TeamKo lives on
Dr. Prilipko is a real gem. She really teaches you so much useful information. She also wants you to succeed, and the class environment is unparalleled. She gives great feedback and really cares about her student. I would take her again in a heartbeat, and I recommend her to all of my friends who need to take B A 324, 10/10 professor
Dr. Prilipko is an amazing prof. No matter how hard you try, there is no way you can hate this class. If you don't take this, then you are seriously missing out. So stop reading the reviews and just TAKE THIS CLASS!!!
Dr. Prilipko is amazing. Everyone was so worried about taking BA 324 because of its reputation, but she made this course a breeze. This is the only class I've had at UT where I got to know my classmates and been able to break out of my shell. She cares so much about each and every one of her students. Do everything you can to be in her class!
Y'all need to take BA 324 with Prilipko. Admittedly, she teaches with a lot of metaphors and conceptual ideas, but how else are you supposed to teach communication? Instead of an excessive number of essays, this class is interactive. You're gonna have a blast. And Prilipko genuinely cares about her kiddos (TeamKO), so it's super fun AND easy.
This one is a gem. Each class you are essentially tricked into learning by playing these really funny games. They seem silly at first, but by the time the class is over you realize how much you have actually learned (like the Karate Kid "Take off your jacket" scene). Also, Dr. Prilipko is probably the most caring and genuine person at UT. 10/10
Dr. Prilipko is the best B A 324 professor. If you can get her class take it! She is the most caring professor at UT.
I LOVE Dr. Prilipko! She's one of those profs that actually cares about learning and setting you up for future success. She is amazing at getting you engaged with people (even over Zoom) and if you have the chance TAKE HER. I've learned a lot from the class that I'll likely use for the rest of my career. Readings are boring but the class is great!
I appreciate Dr. Prilipko's commitment to student success. She is genuinely caring, and she does not grade too hard on the oral communication assignments. Carefully follow the samples for written assignments and this class is very manageable.
Great teacher! Definitely the best BA 324 or BA 324H professor in McCombs. There are about 10 assignments throughout the semester, but they're all very doable and there are a lot of ways to get feedback before you submit
Dr. Prilipko is soooooo goodddd she gives god-tier feedback and really helps you become a better speaker, communicator, and writer
Dr. Prilipko is the goat. Nail fire, zig-zag, candy, and popcorn, and you'll have an A with soaring colors. Great teacher, very constructive environment, wants everyone to do well.
TAKE THIS CLASS. Dr. Prilipko is amazing! She truly cares about her students and her class is so fun. She encourages all her students to get out of their shell. Lots of presentations in class but most aren't graded. Super fun, 10/10!
You can tell Dr. Prilipko really cares about her students and their success because she gives amazing feedback that gives you things to improve without tearing you down in the process. She has cool tricks and techniques that really help you learn how to communicate effectively. 13/10, would take again!
Dr Prilipko genuinely cared about how we were doing and gave us honest feedback. Make sure to follow the rubrics she posts and you will do fine. I learned so much about presenting and communications. TAKE THIS CLASS!
Dr. Prilipko has been my favorite professor at the University of Texas so far. She did an outstanding job of leading the class and fostering a community within her classroom. I constantly looked forward to our next class period and always had a great time in the class. She provides outstanding feedback and really wants to see you grow as a student.
If you have the chance to take BA324 with Eve, do it!! She is such an amazing professor and an incredible person. I loved her enthusiasm and enjoyed going to her class. Eve is the best!!
Dr. Prilipko is an amazing teacher and will always give you valuable feedback. Grading is extremely easy as long as you follow her feedback and the rubrics. I have learned so much from Dr. Prilipko, and she will always give honest feedback to anyone that asks. I can safely say that I am coming out of this class with better presentation skills.
Dr. Prilipko is a gem. So kind and understanding and genuinely wants her students to become better communicators. Seeing everyone progress over the semester has been so amazing to see, including for myself. She's kind, gives amazing feedback but doesn't dock too many points for things you're working on. Love ya TEAMko!
Prilipko is goated. One of the nicest people you will ever meet. Very passionate about teaching and wants to see you succeed. You will come out of this class with a PhD in Fire and Candy Method.
Dr. Prilipko is by far the most amazing professor I've had so far at UT! I can confidently say that I'm finishing the semester with stronger presentation skills. She's incredible at getting the class engaged even in an online environment, which I haven't seen in any of my other classes. I would definitely recommend taking this class!
TAKE THIS CLASS! You will 100% come out with far better speaking and writing skills, but along with that, Dr. Prilipko makes her class so entertaining and interactive! You really feel valued. Don't worry about the grade because 9 times out of 10, if you do what she asks, you will get an A. She is compatible, very honest in feedback, and fun loving.
Words fail to describe the level of passion Dr. Prilipko has for teaching. She gives feedback very seriously, her class structure is organized, and she does an amazing job ensuring that students both participate and feel respected. The class is balanced with group activities and writing assignments that will keep you engaged. I highly recommend.
Dr. Prilipko's class was the only class I looked forward to during my time at McCombs. In the beginning, I did not see a point in this class but after having Dr. Prilipko help us walk through our areas of improvement, I quickly realized that anyone can benefit greatly from taking this course with her. Will use everything I learned in the future.
I loved having Dr. Prilipko this semester! She gives great feedback and structured the class in a way that makes everyone feel welcome and valued. No matter what level of experience you have with business writing or presenting, she will make sure that you feel comfortable and gain the necessary skills for the future. 100% would recommend her!
Dr. Eve was my favorite professor I have taken at UT. She creates such a comfortable environment where students can learn and grow and apply what they learn in class each day. She thoroughly explains assignments and is very understanding. By the end of the sem, the students ran the class on their own. She inspires me to show my true self in class
Dr Prilipko is by far the sweetest professor that I have had at my time at UT. Will not disappoint!
Dr. Prilipko is great! Super encouraging and laid back class environment.
Excellent professor, really compassionate and only wants student success; very helpful course as well
Dr. Prilipko is great! Take her for BA324
Learned a lot from Dr. Prilipko. She makes you feel comfortable in class and I grew a lot as a speaker and writer. Not too much work, but you do have to pay attention in class.
Best professor I've had at UT to this date. Very purposeful with her assignments and activities, and creates a great environment within the class that you wish never ends.
Dr. Prilipko is easily the best for BA 324. She is kind, caring, and compassionate. There is a mix of written and verbal assignments/presentations. As long as you put something coherent down, she will give you above a 90. However, at a certain point in time, I didn't really care about the grade; I just enjoyed showing up to class.
One of the most genuine and caring professors I've had as a student thus far... Trust me, use this class to your advantage and just put effort into your presentations, you'll do amazing!
This is by far the best professor at UT. She does a good job at showing that she cares for the class and also about everyone's success. She also does a good job at getting the class comfortable and has great activities. Take her if you get the opportunity.
100% the best choice for B A 324. We learn so much more than students in other sections and walk away with much better grades, all while doing so many fewer assignments. Thanks to Dr. Prilipko, I'm finishing the semester much more confident in my abilities and with 30 new friends. Do whatever you need to do to get in her class.
Dr. Prilipko is hands down my favorite professor. The assignments are super easy, so just show up and have fun in each class. If you have the privilege to take this class with Dr. Prilipko, you're in for a pleasant and educational semester.
One of the best professors I have ever had. Extremely engaging class. Learned a lot in this class.
This class is perfect for anyone seeking to better their business writing or public speaking skills. Through repeated presentation and written assignments that receive detailed feedback, all students learn what is essential for communication in the business world.
I was in the same class as all the people that wrote the other regular BA 324 reviews for Fall 2021. 100% agree with every single one of them. If just like me, the person reading this is checking the ratings to decide which BA 324 prof to select, stop looking. Choose Dr. Prilipko and you every word written about her on this page is 100% accurate.
This is the best mccombs class Ive taken and she gets all the credit. She wants everyone to improve and pushes everyone with very unique and well-thought out assignments. Also, the class environment is very relaxed I can easily say I made friends with everyone compared to other mccombs classes. Highly recommend!
She is the goat. I think this was the most interactive class I have been in at McCombs. She is the goat. The class is very fun and she does an excellent job of laying the foundation for McCombs students to become business leaders and world-changers.
The grading was horrendous for Spring '22, ex. 5-10 points off for missing 1 comma or not pausing long enough between saying your first and last name. Sure the class is engaging, but nothing warrants the harsh grading and lack of understanding from Dr. Prilipko and the TAs. Maybe you'll get lucky with a kind TA, but this course is no longer great.
Dr. Prilipko is an amazing teacher! She truly cares for her students and wants them to learn to be "superstar" professionals. I learned so much and grew exceptionally throughout the semester I took.
Such a caring and devoted professor! Not only is she easy going but she has great strategies for improving your presentation skills and professionalism. Having an extroverted personality will help you in her classes. However, she grades relatively easy and wants you to not worry about GPA too much. Would definitely take her again if I could.
This is the most honest review here. Like many, I waited on taking BA 324 because of the amazing Dr. Prilipko. Sadly, though the class is fun, she doesn't listen to students' feedback and believes they're always wrong. The TAs are the bane of our existence with their ridiculous grading expectations making it impossible to succeed in this class.
We found out that one TA was let go. However, I guarantee you that all the TAs should've been let go. They are determined to ruin our grades for no good reason and they have horrible grading criterias. Dr. Prilipko is such a nice Professor but she never listened to what we were telling her this semester and so it cost all the students dearly.
Dr. Prilipko is amazing! One of the best BA 325 professors. I was lucky to have her. The main work in her class are the group presentations. You are constantly doing group presentations in her class, but it is less scary than the long papers that other classes have. I DEFINITELY recommend you take her.
Dr. Prilipko is amazing, super caring and is understanding of students circumstances. The TAs? not so much. these are quite possibly the worst TAs of any class i've taken so far. They grade horrendously, like counting off so many points for the smallest of things. I loved this class because of Dr P. so hopefully there will be better TAs.
Dr. Prilipko is hands down the best professor I have had in my two years at UT. She invests in each of her students far beyond what is required or expected of a professor. No assignment is a waste of time. I have grown exceptionally throughout this semester, and I am grateful to leave with lifelong skills and 34 new friends. 100% take Dr. P!
Dr. Eve was a very great instructor. If you want a lighthearted, useful class, this is the course to sign up for.
The professor is one of best professors at McCombs. The class was interactive, fun, and engaging. If I had the chance to take this class again, I would do it in a heartbeat.
The amazing Dr. P is both carrying and fun. She is literally the greatest. I recommend taking her course whenever you get the chance to.
Dr. Prilipko is a fantastic professor. I had her for BA 324 and she was the best professor I've ever had. She cares deeply for her students, and it shows throughout the class. Show up on time and be prepared to contribute as participation is a large part of this class, as long as you do that this class is an amazing experience.
Although she could be a little biased at times, she genuinely taught me so much about public speaking and proper business writing. I feel so much more confident in giving a public speech after this class. Her unconventional approach is scary at first but actually one of the best ways to learn.
Watched weekly videos before class made by Prof. Prilipko but the actual class is hosted by a TA (McCombs sophomores). In each class we discuss the videos and weekly ethics topics and are given 1 point for attendance and 1 point for participation. 2 easy papers and final group presentation. Overall easy A if you show up and participate.
She's so slayyy. Has cute dogs. You have to show up tho :/ Had an 8am and I missed a few times which deducted points but she's genuinely a rlly good prof. Ask to see her dogs. Will improve presentation/public speaking skills, business prof writing. :P
This is the best class you could take to truly improve your public speaking skills and get out of your shell. The unconventionality teaches you so much, and the environment is warm and open. All of the work assigned was fair and manageable, and none of it is fluff. You learn life lessons and applicable skills for the rest of your life.
very loving and caring professor. class environment is very friendly and supportive. main assignments are online quizzes with few presentations.
Dr. P is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet! She genuinely cares for her students and their professional development. You will get to work with the same team for the semester to make presentations. The class atmosphere is supportive and provides helpful feedback. Prepare well for assignments and you will do amazing.
Very nice professor and she graded reasonably easy. That being said, the attendance policy was horrible. I missed one class because I was sick and spent the entire rest of the semester working my way back up to an A. DO NOT take this class if you don't think you can wake up for an 8am, because your grade will definitely reflect it.
Dr. Prilipko is incredibly caring. At the beginning of the semester, it seemed like the class would be very difficult, but compared to other teachers, this was one of the easiest BA324H classes. Attendance is mandatory and the TAs do grade harshly but they're always available for office hours.
Taught by a TA, MAN 101 is mostly graded on participation in class discussions. Weekly modules were very easy--short readings & a few vids on basic business-related topics. The class was graded upon discussion participation (just make sure to contribute to the convos), 2 reflection papers, & 1 group project. Super simple learning concepts. Easy A.
This course is taught by a TA, with the majority of this course's grade being based on your attendance and your in-class participation. The course is very easy, and is a great introduction to business courses at the university. This course will also help you with course registration.
Easiest professor to take BA324H. She is really sweet and available outside of class. Assignments are clearly laid out (as long as you try, you can get an A). Be prepared to talk a lot in class. The only thing is that she has favorites (the people who talk the loudest), which can be a bit alienating and make you feel like you don't really belong.
You have to try to get anything lower than an A. You're welcome.
Great professor take her if you can
Class is so easy and is TA-run. Dr. Prilipko taught behind-the-scenes through modules but most content was commonsense anyways. Grade is determined by participation, 2 papers, and 1 group project. As long as your TA is chill, you're fine.
I never see anything about BA 205 on here (I think it's new too), so I just wanted to let future people know. It's a great class (you take it to become a MAN TA). Everyone is so nice and engaged, I know everyone will be amazing TAs! You are assigned to groups of 4-5 and work on presentations, with the MAN curriculum. Great practice for next sem!
TA taught class (never actually met prilipko), we walked in 15 minutes late, and he said everyone was getting an A no matter what. 2 homework assignments. both optional. bro was a homie fr. I played clash royale and watched fullmetal alchemist brotherhood the entire time. idrk what we were even taught tbh
MAN101 is taught by TA's. My TA was amazing and lenient. Gave us a grace period since it was an 8am and cancelled class to give us a halloweekend break. Graded by two papers and one group project. Super easy, picky any topic of your choice. Attendance is practically your grade. There is extra credit tho.
Small, weekly discussion-style classes only based off two reflection papers and a final group project. You don't really have to watch the videos before class except maybe to help on the reflection papers. Easygoing and easy grading
Super easy class led by TA's! Participation and attendance matters the most as well a group presentation at the end but it's very easy and TA's are super lenient. There were no assignments, just attendance! Also, an extra credit assignment at the end of the semester.
The class itself is easy and fun, but the assignments are TOUGH!! The TAs are hard graders and don't give any advice for any assignments. They take off a huge number of points for small errors, and their grading makes absolutely no sense. I wish I had taken another BA324 class because the good reviews are not true. They also don't round grades.
Overall, the class helped my presentation skills and was fun. However, the class is graded by very few assignments, so any mess-ups will torpedo your grade. Furthermore, no clear expectations are set for many class assignments, and the TAs are extremely hard graders. There were no curves or extra credit to help.
best. professor. ever. super nice, lenient, and understanding, and really knows how to motivate a class. grading can be hard though depending on the TA .
Dr. Prilipko is awesome. The assignments will definitely push most people out of their comfort zones, but if you look at rubrics and go to office hours, it is not difficult to receive high marks in this class. Make sure to make presentations engaging and you will be good! I also recommend her strongly to any students with D&A accommodations.
MAN 101 is almost entirely TA-led. In my experience, all the TAs are very good! Attendance and participation are mandatory. Dr. Prilipko does the Canvas pre-module videos/material and administrative work for the course. Overall, Dr. Prilipko seems like a very kind and helpful professor.
As many people have already said, for MAN101, your TA makes or breaks the course. You will probably never see Prilipko herself. My TA was great and very flexible - just show up and you will be fine.
Prilipko is definitely one of those professors you will never forget. She has a very entertaining and unique way of teaching the class, but it was never boring that's for sure! Textbook assignments are so tricky for no reason, and you are graded stupid hard on written assignments, but the class itself is very fun! Pushes you out of comfort zone!
Dr. Prilipko is amazing. She makes the class super engaging, and I learned a lot of valuable presentation skills.
Dr. Prilipko is genuinely the best professor I've ever had at UT as a whole!!! I had her class at 8am and I was so excited to go to class every single day. DO WHATEVER YOU CAN TO TAKE BA324 WITH HER!!! She is an incredible professor and all of the activities we do in class are so much fun, and if you put in effort, you can definitely get an A!!!
She picks favorites. So many kids dropped out of my class because for our quizzes if you get lower than a 90 (aka you miss one question) you immediately get a 0 on the quizzes. Drops your grade so much - other teachers give you a 100 for participation with the quizzes. Grades extremely harsh if you don't bring "fire" you bring to presentations
Never met the professor once. Class consisted of 2 papers and a group presentation. Was discussion style classes; the TA led a short lecture then we discussed. Attendance was mandatory. The assignments weren't hard and my TA was an easy grader. Your TA makes or breaks this course. I've had friends who had really a strict TA.
I really enjoyed Dr. Prilipko's class. She encourages you to communicate with the class and form friendships with everyone, which is super easy to do with all the group work she gives. The group you are assigned at the beginning of the year stays the same, so it allows you to connect and become good friends. I highly suggest taking BA324H with her!
She's a great professor, and she really cares about all of her students. Her class is super fun and you learn a lot about presentation skills.
Really great professor, enjoyed the semester thoroughly. Take her class!!
The grade is based on 2 papers, a group presentation, and participation/attendance (every ended with a 100 unless they skipped class). The papers were on interesting ethical case studies and are not required to read before class. The TA IS the professor and some grade harsh.
This class is taught by TAs. I had chill and understanding TAs, and this class was more discussion than anything. Graded on attendance, and the rest is on 2 reflections and final group presentation. So just be sure not to forget those and you're good.
LOVE LOVE LOVE HER!! she is the best BA324 prof! Her class is so much better and easier than all other BA324 classes and you will learn so much. She is amazing, TAKE HER
This class was led by TA who was super chill. Going to class is important because attendance is required, it's 28% of the grade. Not any lectures, just discussions. There are 2 short papers that are really easy. And the final presentation is 15 mins and worth 42% of the grade, but it was relatively easy if you work with your group ahead of time.
Amazing professor and would defintely take again. The class is very engaging and it pretty much all group projects. She cares a lot about your growth in the class and is a great person to be around in general. Only bad part of the class was grammar quizzes (online).
Take this class! Dr. Prilipko is the best, and she really helps her students improve their public speaking and writing. This class was fun and engaging, and I looked forward to it every week.
I never met Professor Prilipko, but the class was very straightforward. It was mostly peer discussions led by TAs. There were two written reflections and a final presentation on any course-related topic. Overall, it was simple and manageable.
Dr. Prilipko has some videos on Canvas to watch but it's inconsequential. Christine was great as our TA, super understanding and helpful with all our class materials. Very simple class if you show up and put in minimal effort. There's a final group presentation but it ends up being pretty easy.
Easily the best professor for BA324H. She might seem strict the first week but she's super accommodating. Her grading is significantly easier than the other BA324 professors and she really tries to make everyone known. I knew at least 3 things about every person in the class by the end of the semester which is rare at UT.
Easily the best professor for BA 324(H). Dominated by presentations and writing, overall light grading if you listen - grammar quizzes are easy but irritating and can tank grade if not careful. Super kind and caring, lots of group work, and overall everyone in the class just ends up becoming friends because of the environment. Take her class!
Prilipko was actually the best teacher my freshman year. She was hella chill in class and was a very easy grader on in class assignments. Show up to class and you'll get an A.
Absolute GOATED professor. Even though I took it as an 8AM, she never came into class without a smile. Very engaging lectures, my most fun class I've taken so far. She teaches in a nontraditional way, which is a refreshment from other repetitive classes. Always willing to help. I made a lot of friends from her class due to it being so free and open
Class was real easy as long as you followed rubric for the group projects and participated often. Easy grade!!
If I could spend the rest of my college time learning from this professor, I would choose it 100/100 times. Prilipko is one of the most caring, genuine, and inspirational teachers I have had the pleasure of learning from. Not only is the class super light with homework and grading, I actually am learning applicable things for business letters 10/10
A special person, one whom I will never forget and one whom I will always be honored and grateful to have the privilege of meeting. If you have the opportunity to take Dr. Prilipko's class, please do.
Professor Prilipko is awesome! Very caring about her students and the class is very fun. There are a few papers and online assignments. Nothing too crazy though.
I LOVE HER. Genuinely the greatest professor I have ever had at this university. She is very particular in her grading criteria, so as long as you follow that you will be fine. DO THE GRAMMAR QUIZZES. They seem silly, but they are a bigger portion of your grade than you think. She is very accessible outside of class, and overall a wonderful woman
This class is determined by your TA's. I got a good TA that did a "check in question" so everyone got their participation points. Literally go to every class and you get an A. There's a group project but as long as you show up, it will be very manageable. Wish I could take this class again.
Great, kind teacher, and you learn a lot! However, there is no flexibility missing more than 2 classes or missing a small reading quiz (get a 0 if under a 90). Grades are concentrated at the end of the semester, so it is hard to know your grade. Additionally, in-class work is fun, but not enough time is spent explaining large writing assignments.
Easiest class ever. Just show up for class and participate for most of your grade. Taught fully by TA's, all of whom are chill and dont grade hard on the three (short) essays. Besides attendance and 3 papers, only other grade is a final presentation. Super chill class and had no need to really put much time in.
Easy class! Just show up to class and do your work.
The MAN101 class is taught by TAs, but in my experience, it's pretty easy. We're graded simply on participation, three (easy) papers, and a final presentation.
BA324 is a class everyone dreads, but the only professor you should ever take is Prilipko. Your team presents 3 times, with only the last time graded, which gives you time to learn from your mistakes.
Overall very kind and caring professor but be warned that the TAs grade very harshly on writing assignments. The grade distribution of almost all A's is pretty misleading. Not a very time-consuming or difficult class content-wise, just harder to earn an A if that's your goal
Class is fully TA taught and is super easy. Shoutout to my TA Taliah, love u queen. She made our classes really fun and was such a sweet, understanding person!
