She is a new professor, but really good! She gives you lecture notes and goes through them step by step where you can really understand the material. She does have daily quizzes that kinda suck but they are not hard just have to study for them. She also gives GREAT reviews study those you will make an A.

Effective instructor. Lots of in-class demonstrations of the topics covered in the book. If you can't manage to attend class regularly or you can't apply material that you have learned, you will not get a good grade in her class.

Great Teacher! This class does take a lot of time and effort but making an A is totally possible. Attendance isn't mandatory but GO GO GO, you will be glad you did. I took her during the summer and she packed everything on us as if it was a regular semester but we all survived and she had lots of A's. She is helpful and wants every to do well!

This class was not easy. If you study alot it is very possible to make an A. Attendance is not mandatory but you have quizzes first 5 minutes of every class,that weigh heavily on your grade. Overall not a bad prof. some may not like because you do have to put more effort in than 10 mins a day.

Anyone taken her for her online stats class? What is the layout, how is it? What is required? Ive taken her before in Cog. Psy and she was not very easy. Good thing about online quizzes NO POPPERS at 5 mins of EVERY class

Great teacher. Attend class. Makes the subject interesting (its hard material). Not super friendly, but overall a good class. Made cog one of my favorite subjects.

She was an awesome teacher. The topic itself is hard but she figured out a way to make it fun.

I took this class online. Stat's is not my thing but I earned a B+. The extra credit helps you pass the class. Take this Professor if you need credit for Adv. Math.

The material is dense, she makes helpful power points. As long as you go to class and read you will do fine. I recommend flash cards. There are daily quizzes so you do have to go to class but she drops the lowest three.

I took this class online and found it alright. Its not that hard as long as you understand the material. There are weekly quizzes and 3 test and extra credit. It is very possible to make an A in this class just look over her notes and quizzes and read the book and you will do fine in the class.

Seriously, this class is easy. She gives you study guides for the weekly quizzes, and the quizzes are exactly like the study guides. If you put a little time in the class, you can easily make an A. much easier than on campus classes. If you have half a brain you can succeed in this class.

This is the second course I've taken with Dr. Tapia (first was PSYC3301). I've done very well in both mainly because of the level of preparation she puts into each lecture. She's quick to respond to questions and provides excellent lecture notes. She is no blow-off, however. Her quizzes can be tricky with the occasional "gotcha" question.

Took her Cognitive Psych class online and made an A. Didn't read the book, just read the notes she provides -as- I took the quizzes; they are timed but you get used to working fast. Felt like I actually learned something. If you put minimal effort in, you can make an A. Some of her questions are ambiguous and do not match up with notes.

I took stats online with her. It's not an easy class, but it is definitely possible to get an A. Your grade is based on 13 quizzes and 3 exams, nothing is dropped. There is plenty of XC, and the prof is super available to talk. She replies to your questions ASAP. I am not a math person at all, but I was able to get over 100% by studying the notes.

I am a working parent and take a lot of online classes. I find this instructor to be very well organized and clear with both expectations and work. There are weekly quizzes and one final and more than enough EC. Complaints about difficulty are unwarranted. She doesn't spoon feed, but she always was helpful and prompt when I emailed for help.

Took her Cognitive class online, enjoyed it and learned a lot. She is fair and helpful if you do your part, but she is not going to just give it to you. She was prompt in responding to emails and answering questions. Tried to get her for Stats, but the class was full. Would take her again in a heartbeat! Saved me from Jon Frederick's Physiopsyc.

The class material is pretty straightforward--I took it online so I had to stay on top of my reading. Her tests are on Lockdown Browser & you have to KNOW YOUR STUFF to take them, don't think cheating will get you an A in this class. If you read & comprehend the material, you can afford an A. Weekly quizzes, 3 tests, 1 final, 1 extra credit quiz.

If you take this class online it is NOT easy if you are not a math person. She is a GREAT professor though and responds to emails lit. 2 minutes after I send them even late at night. Quizzes every week. Tests times are a little short so it is difficult to finish in time. Her grading is fair and will often credit back if you have a question.

Hard class. you will need the book. LOT of info to learn &comprehend. EC is a life-saver. Know the material before you take the test. You have to take in lockdown browser and it only shows one question at at time and no going back, and only 1 min or so to answer each question. Take her class. Got a B wasn't easy but assignments, grading were clear

This was not an easy class, but you can pass with an A if you really put in the work by doing your part...which is study & read! Don't expect this class to be a blowoff, want an A..earn it. I emailed professor Tapia anytime I needed help, & she really helped me. I wouldn't do as well as I thought I would if it wasn't for Dr.Tapia's help.

This was an easy class for me because I had already taken the math department's statistics course. She offers lots of extra credit opportunities, so do them all. Some people complained that there was not enough time to do every question.

It's an online class so know you have to be on top of your game. She's a great professor. Syllabus is very clear with requirements and grading. Weekly quiz, three paragraph long papers, and 4 exams. If you read the material and work on the provided worksheets you will do fine!

Read. Not much study tools for online besides her chapter slides that does not cover all the reading material. Only study tool is to study her chapter slides or re-read the entire book, which I will certainly not do considering that the book is close to 40-50 pages per chapter. Some test questions are tricky since she uses examples in book.

Her outlines helped but the textbook was something that took me forever to read. I was taking 16 hrs & working but had to make sure to take a whole day out for this course. The quizzes and tests are timed so you shouldn't jump into them unless you know the material well! The briefs weren't bad, just research articles, summarize them as required.

Absolutely loved Psyc Stats online with Tapia spring semester 2015, got D Tapia replies to emails quick, Psyc Stats hands down the hardest class i have ever taken. 21% extra credt saved me, Stats not my thing. Tapia best professor for Pysc Stats online. gives 21% EC

The system used for online classes was really neat and interactive. I made an A in this course with little effort. Just do the assignments, read the text and you'll be golden.

This class wasn't as scary as I thought it was going to be. I took it online so it was 'self taught' but she gives plenty of extra credit (every week). The tests are limited on time, she does go back and give credit for wrongly formatted answers. I'm not sure how she is in person though. The TA was awesome bc she did online group tutor sessions.

Signing up for an online stats class was the first mistake. I highly recommend taking this in lecture. The tests were extremely difficult and usually the majority of the class failed them.

The program she uses for HW let's you have three tries. So that's helpful, also she gives you like 16-18 points in extra credit added to your FINAL GRADE. The tests are hard, but I got a 82, 80, 66, and 54 on all 4 tests and passed the class with a 99. Do the extra credit, it'll be worth it. Also just use a second device and google questions!!

Honestly if it wasn't so easy to get an A, I would say she's a horrible professor. Never teaches, EVER. You get a textbook and that's it, good luck! Luckily she gives a crazy amount of extra credit and multiple attempts on homework which is like 85% of your grade. So do all that, make at least a D on tests and I'm pretty sure you'll still get an A.

I would recommend this professor to everyone needing a statistics class. Her online format is specific and true to her syllabus. She is quick to respond to emails, caring, and understands students have more going on in their lives and will work with you to help you succeed. I wish every professor was as amazing as her. Take her, you won't regret it

Took the class online! LOTS OF READING! Chp quizzes, which help to get you ready for the exams, and also article briefs, three of them. I read so much for this class!! But I have a passing grade and she provides Notes online and many more study material! Really helpful

I took her for online psych stats and I HATE all math in general! the online program she uses gives you 3 chances to do each set of problems and explains how to do them correctly. Never even had to watch a full lecture. There's extra credit with every homework assignment that is due weekly. LOVE her, taking her again in spring!

I see she is now Evelina Deleanu, congrats on getting married! she is a wonderful professor, I took her for multiple online classes, and her class is super straight forward, easily manageable, and you can use the internet to help you as well. If you do bad in this class, it is mostly your own fault bc this should be an easy A if taken online

Honestly, I dont know about some of the negative reviews but definetely take this class. She doesn't remind you of when things are due but I mean you should be mindful, there's weekly quizzes due and three test with one final. Everything is done through Cengage, quizlet will be your best friend. Extra credit up to 24 points. take her.

I don't understand all of the bad reviews talking about no lectures and you have to teach yourself.. this is an asynchronous class. there's 2 weekly assignments on cengage, vocab and a quiz. she sends weekly emails about the weeks topic and even includes comics that relate to it! like someone else said, quizlet will be your bestfriend.

Took this class solely online and was one of my easiest classes this semester. Two assignments every week, which is a quiz and a little assignment due on Sundays. She even sends weekly emails with comics to go with the topic of the week. Highly recommend!!

If you're thinking about taking her online for psych stats, do it. The class is self taught & you will learn everything from the textbook. However, there is only 1 assignment and 1 quiz to do a week and no exams.

She is so respectful and kind! This class was pretty easy in my opinion. 1 assignment and 1 quiz to do each week. No exams. It is self-taught since I took it online, but you can contact her if you need any help. She emails us to give us reminders on what we are learning for each week. I would definitely take her again!!

Super easy class (entirely self-taught). Consisted of weekly practice assignments and quizzes. Although it was a nice class to be in because it didn't add much to my workload, if you actually want to come out of the class with a good understanding of psych stats I would recommend another professor.
